Reboot and freeze on android Logo - Optimus One, P500, V General

Hi everyone,
I've done something bad with my o1, i root it with Z4Root and because i would like to change font of my phone, i've changed them directly in the directory "font" but since, when i boot my phone, he play the android loading logo in loop. I've tried to do an hard reset (home key + volume down + power button) but nothing changed. So, i've tried to flash it with KDZ_FW_UPD and with the V10A firmware (I'm french) but when i launch the flash, KDZ_FW_UPD says that my phone was not found. But i've installed all the driver and my phone was found by my PC (on seven x64).
My phone is in emergency mode when i flash it and in all phone mode that I can select in KDZ_FW_UPD, that doesn't work.
Can someone help me ?
Thanks

I had similar problem.
Try prepare configuration of KDZ_FW_UPD, remove battery from phone, insert it again and turn on phone. Aftert that, still try time to time flash during of start-up of phone. Most probably, after adb shell will startup, update should be begin.
Also you can keep testing with command "adb shell" from Android SDK tools (after sucesfull start, you can try update)

Try to uninstall phone drivers and install again them.At least it helped me when my phone was not found by windows.

Can anyone of u help me ???? My phone is still stuck with Fastboot mode
Basically on a windows machine you download kdz updater and uncompress it as it is a zip file.
Download from here.
This is what I did on an xp laptop.
I had to down load the drivers from the official lg site. when here you enter the code that is on the box the phone came in or under the battery.
Chose the your county and laguage from the drop down box at the top right of the dialogue box. Then from the middle you can choose the drivers. For some reason I had to find the files and click on them to install the driver.
Ok once you decompress kdz updater there are three seperate files to work with. 1. windows enabler. 2. msxml.msi 3.KDZ_FW_UPD.exe
You will also need to download the right file to restore with,You can find it with google.
Please check here the The_ERROR thread wich explains it very well:
[ROMS] Original LG Firmware list.
Install msxml now.
Now you have to boot the phone into rescue mode. On Lg Optimus One turn phone off even if it means taking out the battery.
Press power - volume up - back (this button is next to the home button).
Connect to usb now.Computer found new hardware and installed four drivers.
Then open device manager. Left click my computer - properties - device manager. You need to disable the lg modem driver. Left click on it and disable.
Now launch kdz updater. There will be a drop box on left set to 3gspt or similiar. on the right drop box set to diag. The long box just above the info box with a file at the side lets you browse to find restore file. e.g. V10a.00.kdz.
Double click the button below and let it do it's thing. Took 15min. My phone shut down and came up with an error at the last minute. Anyway I rebooted and all was good.
Everything was the way I left it. Just had to re-root.
My only real problem was getting the kdz installer to see the phone.
After installing the drivers restart pc. If it finishes quickly and just before saying finished it says phone not found try removing all phone related drivers including nokia pc suite and the lg suite and remove and reinstall the drivers.
Hope this is of some help to you.

I had the same worries coz my pc did not detect my device at all..
I was trying to get pass the Fastboot mode.. But in the cmd when i tried to erase and re-install recovery it said waiting for device.. Luckily and finally after many tries i could enter emergency mode. Only then the phone got detected but fastboot didnot work there.. The Only way out was to Do the KDZ flash. I flashed the indian GB V20b and did a hard reset now. Flashed recovery and for now have left it with the stock rom..
I wonder now this problem arises due to custom roms.

this problem was cuz didn't perform the steps carefully.
This can called bricking but not fully . As it can be recovered.
Bricking is when your phone is as useless as a brick.

my phone dosent get out to Software Upgrade Mode

I've been trying to flash my p768 for JB V20A VIETNAM. i used V20A TELCEL, MEXICO Before this flashing.
So I started flashing the KDZ file, followed all the necessary steps and finally when the process is at 15 percent, flashing stopped saying there is a problem with communication between cell phone and pc.
So i did the workoaround, remove the usb cable and wait for at least 10 secs and reconnect, then waited for all the drivers to install. After restarting the whole process it got stack still at 15 percent. Now I cannot get out of Software update mode even if I remove the battery and start the device again.
also i use Following method. and it dosent work. and at 15 percent, flashing stopped saying there is a problem with communication between cell phone and pc Again.
method:If you were on JB, the phone won't be recognized on "S/W Update" screen by the offline method. You must use the online method :
- Remove the lines you put in your "hosts" file ("127.0.0.1 csmg.lgmobile.com" and "127.0.0.1 csmgdl.lgmobile.com") then reboot your computer
- Connect your phone (on the "S/W Update" mode)
- Directly start "B2CAppSetup.exe" : it should detect your phone
- Click on "Customer Support" then "Recovery Phone" (see screenshot on http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2217710)
- Wait and pray... It can be long because it downloads the last KDZ file from official LG servers.
plz help meeee

The LG Update Tool can install latest drivers for you: did you properly install them ? If your phone can start in "S/W Update" mode, the online unbricking method should work, that's why I think you have a driver issue. Did you also try on another computer with another Windows version ? (the most "driver friendly" version would be a Windows XP at least on SP2).

3: run start.bat as administrator
4: put your phone into sw upgrade mode - turn it off, remove battery , hold vol+ and power and plug the usb cable ,"S/W Upgrade" will appear on the screen after a few seconds, put battery back in.
5: use online or offline method to flash any kdz for 768

[Q] Help with unbricking LGE720

Hey folks,
its bricked due to FOTA (I think it stands for: firmware over the air) update. This means the phone downloads a firmware update without computer connection or further PC-Software. Alas it didn't work.
Situation:
Phone starts, displays LG Logo and after that an 'updating firmware' screen for about 1 sec before rebooting and doing it all over again.
What I tried to solve this:
set up a new Win 7 32 bit machine to try to unbrick it. (drivers didn't work correctly on 64 bit) at least the MCCI driver update didn't)
connected the phone with the PC in Emergency Mode (holding VOL_UP + VOL_DOWN + PWR while USB is connected)
downloaded B2CApp (LGSupport Tool) and installed the device drivers for Emergency mode.
disabled the Android(Modem) dirver
downloaded V10D_00.kdz from LG home page
using the phones IMEI and this link:
http://csmg.lgmobile.com:9002/csmg/b2c/client/auth_model_check2.jsp?esn=IMEI_NUMBER_GOES_HERE
This gave me this link
http://csmgdl.lgmobile.com/swdata/WDLSW/LGE720/ADEUBK/V10d_00/V10D_00.kdz
I'm German so this seems all right, but I'm no expert
installed msxml
ran KDZ_FW_UPD_EN and tried CDMA in CS_EMERGENCY Mode
A bunch of magic happend until the phone restarts during the process and is right back where we started, if I put it back to Emergency Mode while KDZ_FW_UPD_EN is still running the process finishes, but to no avail.
The log of this try is attached.
Where I am stuck now:
phone:
runs in Emergency Mode
is recognized by KDZ_FW_UPD_EN as well es LG Support Tool
Flashing via KDZ_FW_UPD_EN finishes
Flashing yields no result.
What else did I try
download V10C_00.kdz, as well as V10A_00.kdz from LG site and tried those with same result as with V10D_00.kdz
tried 3GQCT Type instead of CDMA
Wild guesses by me:
I need a different KDZ_FW_UPD_EN version, maybe different dll. I got it from here somewhre in a LG P500 related topic.
I messed up the driver install or need a different driver
LG hates me personally and planted this whole brick specifically to get to me.
The device really is permanently bricked, so I did all I could and there is nothing more to do? That would be sad, I hope I'm wrong here.
Additional Info:
The phone is not rooted and has never before been flashed. It ran with the same stock firmware since it was unwrapped.
The phone was not interrupted by power-loss during FOTA update.
The [read phone information] tool from KDZ_FW_UDP_EN crashes every time, maybe this tells somebody where things go wrong
Any help is appreciated. Ask for more info, if you need it.
Update - What else did I try:
I got the LG Support Tool to flash the Emergency Recovery all by itself runs till 99% --> reboots --> still stuck in same ol' bootloop
reentering Emergency Mode from the bootloop makes the Emergency Recovery finish with 100%, no error, but still bricked.
Regards
gimmeg

Soft-Bricked GT540g vs frozen KDZ Updater

Okay guys, I think my phone has a soft brick (no boot logos), so I'm trying to do some restoration... but I'm not having much success.
So, I found a solution in XDA (/showthread.php?t=825173&page=3) saying that I should plug my phone in without battery, SD nor chip and disable the "LG Modem" on my Device Manager. Afterwards, start KDZ Updater and configure it to CS_EMERGENCY. Then I should install a 2.1 French firmware and as soon as KDZ finishes I'd plug off my phone, plug it back in and start it in DL mode again, this time flashing a file named "OUT.kdz", which gives back the boot logos.
Problem: KDZ Updater hangs as soon as I press "Start". It simply freezes when it's in CS_EMERGENCY. I have no solution to this whatsoever, and I also have another thread with previous problems I ran into (Soft-Bricked LG GT540 Optimus).
These are the best forums I've found for any kind of phone, so I'm positive I'll get the help I need, even if I might need to wait some time. Kudos to the admins and every member for taking part of such a great community!

I've fixed all my issues! I'll paste what I said in another thread. Yay for one-full-year struggles!
Just wanted to leave my 2 cents here, I've been trying to do my best since around august 2014, no success. 2 days ago I retried this, and I DID IT! I will tell everyone what I did very shortly:
My problem that I solved: I can boot, device works like a charm. But: no boot logos, no recovery.
My solution for TL;DR: UNINSTALL ALL DRIVERS FROM DEVICE MANAGER 1ST, then reinstall. After that, flash a fastboot ROM and use it to WIPE ALL THE DATA IN YOUR PHONE! THIS was what I needed and was never explained: you had to WIPE the old data in order to get the boot screens back.
IN THIS ORDER (THANK YOU to those people from previous replies, gathering all your info was of great value):
Uninstall all of your phone drivers from your PC!!! This is what made most of my headaches go away, just use Device Manager and uninstall anything from LGE. After that, plug in your device in your USB ports (always BACK ports, not front ports, important). It should detect all drivers and download them.
IF it fails (it generally does with LGE USB Modem), you can go to Device Manager > Unknown Device (the one that wasn't recognized) > Right Click and Update > Choose 2nd option, then choose "choose from a list of local controllers" (or whatever the button says). After that, scroll down to LG Electronics, Inc. and install what didn't install.
I also found these drivers, but I did not test them: http://www.mediafire.com/download/p693hcz6kkouh19/USB_Driver_LG_GT540.zip
Huzzah!
Now you're set to begin:
FIRST thing you wanna do is a factory reset, this is something I'd forgotten with time, don't make the same mistake as I did. You can do it by turning your phone on and pressing Volume +/- & Home & Quick Search buttons all together for 5 seconds (it works, be patient and wait for it, even if you open the camera or any other stuff).
Download this Google SDK Tools (unzip and put the folder in C:\ drive) and this Fastboot drivers for GT540 (unzip and put the files inside the folder in C:\android-sdk).
Skip this next line if you know your ROM has fastboot.
Now, if you don't have a ROM with fastboot, I recommend you use either European Open+Fastboot or V20C Orange France Fastboot ROM.
Click to collapse
Since you have Fastboot enabled, now all you need to do is turn off your device (all this with its battery on it, no weird things) and hold the Camera button before turning it back on. This should take you either to a black screen, or simply to no display, like me. Either one will work anyways.
Now press the Windows key > Type cmd and open it with Right Click > Run as Administrator.
In it, type all this, command by command (you can paste by right clicking):
cd C:\android-sdk
fastboot -w
fastboot erase boot
fastboot erase system
fastboot -w
fastboot reboot
Click to collapse
And now it's go time! Do what everyone else says in here: Take out your phone's battery, SD and SIM cards, fire KDZ Updater up as Administrator (If your KDZ freezes, then it's either faulty or you did not install msxml, look for a good KDZ that comes with that file and delete your current one), choose CS_Emergency PhoneMode and:
1-Plug your phone while holding the volume DOWN button (don't worry! My phone didn't show "Download Mode" either, if you hear the Windows "Somethingpluggedin" Bump noise, it's ok).
2-Flash French V20A
3-Unplug your phone once KDZ says "==FINISHED==".
4-Plug it once again, holding the volume DOWN button.
5-Flash out.kdz (remember! it's CS_Emergency).

hello, jho_zep, thank you so much for your reply, i am now able to move the highlight to select using my mouse, but still when i try to update from ADB, it tells me to send package to the device etc.. and i also tried to press the power button, it wont reboot the system, it would only shutdown the system.. another thing, i still cant get rid of the system update. " installing system update" then error comes in, my android is down.. i tried wipe date/ factory reset, still nothing.
Thanks in advance
Do you already solve your problem? because I have now the same problem as this.
I have pressed the wireless update then it restarted and it says an Error status 7.
I don't know what to do and how to deal with this problem.
can you help me?
My nextbook tablet rk3026 has a partition named metadata that holds the recovery boot commands. You could possibly try to wipe it and do a factory reset. I don't think it actually gets mounted so you would need to find a file the same size as the partition and dd to it. Or back up your system with rockchip flash tool then using a hex editor replace all data in metadata image with zeros. Obviously be careful. Here is a tool download with included guide credits to finless at freaktab(not sure if he is here at xda) for posting it.

as always BACKUP and know if you don't do it correctly you may get a brick.
thank you for the response Destructos. but that solution won't help for my freakin weird tab 33gt HD+.
I get frustrated now
Problem solved
first thing to do is make sure that you have already installed the rkchip_usb driver in your computer.
What are the requirements?
1st of course your Tablet and Cable Connector
2nd Finless ROM Flash Tool v1.37
3rd Rokchip BatchTool v1.7
4th the update image/firmware for your Bluewave 8 HD+ that is downloadable from their official website
Steps:
1. off your tablet and connect it to the computer
2. open the Finless Rom Flash, uncheck all the boxes
3. turn ON your Tablet (be attentive) and while the blue screen is starting you may NOTICE that the ROM FLASH TOOL detected your device, it says "RKAndroid Mass Storage USB". when you have read that, press immediately the "Reboot Flash mode" and your device will in black screen. but ROM Flash tool still detected your device as "RKAndroid Mass Storage USB "
4. Open the Batch Tool, (you must know how to use it) find your image, then you will notice that the CONNECTED DEVICES below have color green, in that case you may now Click UPGRADE. wait for a minute and booooom, you device is functionable again.
have a feedback if it is helpful.
P.S.
before I go to that steps, when I am stuck in RECOVERY MODE of my device, I Click the Recover from BACKUP then my tablet restarts and it turns to BOOTLOOP and repeatedly saying NO COMMAND.

Why is it, when I do this, my tablet can't be detected by the software? I'm stuck on recovery mode. When it's on the blue logo, still does nothing.
I can only see my device when I look for it on Device Manager under Android Phone. Why is that? It doesn't show the "Other Devices". I've installed the driver but to no avail, still fails me. Please help. Thanks!
