Adobe Flash - Optimus One, P500, V General

I don't understand this, I've seen a lot of low-end HTC phones ship with flash lite pre-installed, and I've also noticed a lot of symbian phones have Flash Lite pre-installed aswell, and some like the LG Cookie use flash for the whole UI of the phone, yet they're much lower specs compared to the P500.
Does anybody have any idea if the flash lite available in a few lower end HTC's could be ported to the P500 perhaps?

I don't understand that also.
HTC Hero have a Qualcomm 7200a armv6 that is weaker than our Qualcomm 7227.
So why Hero supports Flash?

Maybe because HTC ported flash light on their device? I tried search for Flash (lite) for armv6 but it doesn't exist.

I have no idea why only those devices have flash lite. Anyone owns an HTC phone? Maybe we can take the apk out from the phone xD

This is already talked about in apps section.

can rhod400 port from Droid Eris? one great news

rhod400 and Droid Eris both use MSM7600 cpu, can Droid Eris port to rhod400
here is the Droid Eris rom:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=944430
then like HD2, make an magldr for rhod400, android store in nand may be as perfect as HD2
great news:
I don't think it's the same proc.
AFAIK, Hero/Tattoo I think are the exact same proc (someone correct me if I'm wrong here... I'm a little fuzzy on all the different phone types and their specs ).
i've tried porting from the droid eris and it has never worked for me. has anyone else tried?

So does the G1, the original Android phone.
Porting uncompatible ROMs possible, but quite hard.
For example, 2.1+Sense build from Desire that ported Klinux one year ago.

I personally believe that it is highly unlikely as the mimimum requirements for Windows Phone 7 are the following:
ARM v7 "Cortex/Scorpion" – Snapdragon QSD8X50, MSM7X30, and MSM8X55
Capacitive, 4-point multi-touch screen with WVGA (480x800) resolution
DirectX9 rendering-capable GPU
The HTC Legend does not meet any of the criteria and Microsoft does not support most of the hardware in the Legend so I think it's a no go :/

Nothing has been ported to any other phone yet either, so the Legend is even less likely. The Desire HD has loads more developers and is similar to the HD7, but nobody has found a way yet. It would be like someone porting iOS to an Android phone as it is locked down in the same respect.

HTC One X+ vs One XL+ ?

According to phonearena.com, One XL+ indeed has the same spec as One X+ except the Qualcomm MSM 8925M LTE module is built in with Tegra3.
So I want to ask, can ROM of One X+ be dumped to One XL+ flawlessly? If not, can the moderator create one more forum for HTC One XL+?

if chipsets are different, then u cant use each others roms ! u wil end up in a brick...

Based on what I can see on these two links, it looks like you're up the right alley. I can't spot a difference other than that chip and memory size. Everything looks the same save for some hardware differences (colour and mass) but that's irrelevant to porting.
I'd say give it a whirl
EDIT: keep in mind, one is an nVidia chipset, the other is Qualcomm. (I think) You probably just have to do some gypsy magic in order to get them working. It would be like porting a One XL rom to an One S, but having the same features and display I guess.
EDIT 2: I miss read the OP and looked up One XL, not One XL+. I'm a goof, move along, these aren't the droids you're looking for
Might be that the only difference between the two is the radio/RIL.
Hopefully it would just be a matter of loosing cellular connection and fix might just be a simple .zip to flash with the right radio files/framework.
That would be just short of universal roms... Unless the creator of the rom uses the installer to give the user the option of HSPA+ or LTE.
I believe that the Qualcomm radio is additional with the original radio in the One X+. So, i guess it would work, but without LTE capabilities.

No, the MDM radio would replace the Intel XMM baseband for LTE models.

No and no. I don't know where you read that, I just hope you didn't buy the phone relying on that info, heh...at the moment there's no way to do that. Maybe you're talking about the N9?

Well I haven't heard anything about it so far. All we can have right now for our Lumias are custom roms with a few tweaks, however you'll be able to flash those only if you have the qualcomm bootloader, and this is mostly luck based, because it depends on the hardware revision of your specific device. Speaking of Android ports instead I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you...

Well it mostly depends on which particular apps you need...but in terms of games you'll probably be disappointed, don't expect to find stuff like Nova 3 I mean, but if you look for simple puzzle games like Cut the rope you should be ok. The top games will be available soon on WP8 devices tho.

Nope, it will get 7.8 and probably another update in the future (like 7.9 or something). Obviously this OS is much more locked down compared to Android, so you can't fiddle too much with it, like overclocking and stuff like that. However the OS is fully optimized for the hardware, so you don't really need to do anything in order to achieve smoothness and speed: the performance is optimal out of the box, unlike on some older Android devices. I had the GS2 as well before switching to WP, I haven't looked back since then. Trust me, you'll soon realize how great it is to simply USE your phone with no headaches.

yes,i have noticed how polished the os is.. i just read a article about the lumia 800 and a htc windows device. the phone had same specs, but the htc was clocked at 1,5 and the lumia 800 at 1.4 ghz,and the testers said that the htc was just that littlebi faster and smooter. im shour i will be satisfied wih wp 7, even though i have ordered one of the weakes devices in the lumia 800.. but as far as ive seen it, even with an singlecore prossesor the devise is very fast.. gonna go for the 920 later if im satisfied with the 800 what about roms? is it some roms that will acutally benifitt me to install? i dont care to mutch about just minor added settings to the phone. but if its a rom that actually makes the phone faster or something, please let me know. i know everything about android phones like rooting, installing roms, and so on. but i really feel like a bad ass noob at the windows phone platform

Well there are a few cool things you can do with a custom ROM. For example you can sideload third party apps (without using the marketplace), remap your search key, use different search engines, wake the phone with any button, customize the ui and more. However keep in mind that no speed improvements or RAM tweaks whatever are available at the moment. Have look here if you wanna know more, this one of the ROM threads. I'd give it a try for sure but since I did a manual update a while ago I have the Nokia bootloader so I'm stuck here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1665651

[Q] Does anyone have an Android ROM for Nokia Lumia?

I'm wondering if there are Android ROMs for Lumia hardware. Nokia's hardware is cheap and good - it would be nice to run Android on it.
Anyone know any other hackers from Nokia that are running it on their personal phones.

i think ROM isnt right. You need a whole OS with kernel i dont know what else.
i'm not a dev, but i think thats pretty impossible....maybe if you have all the sources and driver and a big team... something like microsoft
and nokia isnt relly cheap although
no, it's impossible. lumia supports only windows phone and so far nobody found solution how to install android on those devices. if u had nokia n900 then this wouldn't be a problem but you can't do anything with lumia );

Actually that's because Nokia can unlock the bootloader and sideload any OS onto it.
@ OP: If you find a way to unlock the qualcomm bootloader, you can install Android onto it, however, that doesn't seem possible at the moment
