Hi,
Any help to port the original theme by motorola to dexter's froyo?

Just curious as to what you're looking for from Moto's original theme?

LOL like me too/.....

Its a metamorph so know how that works if you don't already.

Let me know how it goes and note that for whatever reason you may have to apply it twice.

Because the red persona provided within Khalpower's V4 update is ugly & awful! By the way, can you find the email (not gmail) app with this update?

I've had good luck with this. After ZipThemer builds the update.zip (& the undo.zip) I just move the zip files from the root of my sdcard to /openrecovery/updates, reboot to OpenRecovery & apply the update.

Yes, you were right, it works now! 2 minor missing things:
- Time on status bar is written in white
- Unlock sliders didn't change, still havine red persona (ugly!) ones.
Thanks

Here is a vanilla one from droidpirate.com
http://droidpirate.com/2011/02/27/metamorph-lock-screen-light-vanilla-alt/
I am partial to my r2d2 lock. Also from droidpirate
He has some sweet metamorphs and since we now share similar droidx/2 framework, a lot of his will work on ours.
As for the time, I have to edit services.jar and don't have time to right now - uni exams.
Ill post it when I do it though, unless another kind chap will do so.
and don't be afraid to hit the thanks button!

i use d bbt black theme developed by khal....with v4 rom
great outlook....fast n stable

Couldn't get it to work. Tried with a working MM and got the .zip file but OR just aborted it when I tried using it as an update.

Did you change the update script format? (Edify HTC Generic works for me)

Tried with HTC generic and got bootloops. Didn't format but don't usually need to. Ill try formatting later to see though.
Any other settings you have differently?

Not that I know of. Apply the update wipe the Dalvik & cache reboot. Iv'e tried a couple & got bootloops but the undo option has always worked for me.

I sort of got it working. Are you able to apply it while you have another theme to restore a theme made by theme zipper?

I've combined multiple morphs into one update.zip but I haven't tried adding a ZipThemer theme into the mix. Looking at the ZipThemer output files I would think that as long as you're theming different apks you could build multiple updates but if you're targeting the same file you either have to incorporate multiple themes into one update or apply one update before building another. (Does that make sense?)

Hmm I was half asleep when I wrote that let me rephrase.
If I make an update.zip with theme A and later on flash theme B (a completely different theme) if I want to go back to theme A, can I flash that update zip created in themezipper?
This is what I'm trying to do so I can give out my themes.
However it only bootloops if I apply update.zip(A) to theme B

Sorry, I haven't really tied anything like that but if your're theming the same files ti doesn't make sense to me.

[Q] Gingerbread Keyboard

Okay, so after flashing the new Bionix-V ROM, i have been customizing it to fit me.
One thing I have been dying to get was the skinned Gingerbread keyboard. The Blackout Green one in particular. Found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=9814026&postcount=169
There is a flash-able .zip and an .apk file. I have tried both methods and still no luck. I followed the instructions and can't seem to get it to work.
I know that the Bionix-V ROM comes with the stock gingerbread keyboard, do I have to delete that one to install the other one? I'm just worried that it will get deleted and I cannot re-install and.
Thanks in advance!
I believe you do have to delete the original first but before you do copy it to ur sd just in case it doesn't work. Don't forget to reboot after you remove and install

Yes. The next update I post (at least for my mods of them) will automatically remove the original before applying the update.
Sounds good, I will delete the original Gingerbread Keyboard.apk and flash your mod. Will keep a look at your post for the update!
Thanks guys!

I released an updated Blackout Green yesterday in the original MTM thread. It's near the end. You can also just find the Gingerbread Blackout link in my signature and find it there.
Just starting work on the rest of the colors as it appears no issues have been found with what little changes I have made.
Just an fyi... im using the blackout red gb kb... i just went in with super manager and renamed the stock one and then pushed the blackout (just to make sure if it didnt take i wouldnt lose the stock one too) and all is good and this keyboard is SWEET

[THEMEish] Theme Eraser for NFX and MikShift updated 4/4/11

This is just a zip you can flash to erase whatever theme you are using (for stock ROM). This will install all stock apps, stock frameworks, fonts and boot animation. I use this when I'm testing themes. Much better than re-installing stock ROM because you don't have to do any wipes (keeping all your apps and settings) and it will keep your OC kernel active. Also much quicker than re-installing stock or restoring nandroid
Disclaimer:
I'm not responsible for anything that may happen to your phone.
Changelog:
3/26/2011 Updated with nfinites 2.0 ROM deodex.
New! 4/4/11 Mikshift 1.1 version available (odex).
Instructions:
Make a nandroid just in case. Use CWM 2.5 or 3.x to flash (uses edify scripting). Busybox must be installed to flash.
Download:
Theme Eraser NFX (deodex) updated 3/26/11
Theme Eraser MikShift (odex) updated 4/4/11
Appreciate this. This is very handy and useful much better and faster than restoring nandriod

Ok, I'm coming from the moment and everything seems to be a little more confusing on the shift. I just perm-rooted my shift yesterday. Now I'm looking to theme it. I haven't installed any roms or different kernals yet, because I'm really confused on which one to do, cause a lot of them say something is broken.
So what i wanted to do was apply the cyan dragon theme. So I assume this theme eraser acts like a theme template and I have to use it before applying any theme.
Now the next problem I'm having I can't even download this or the cyan theme. Every time I click on the download link I get directed to the dropbox site and I get a 403 error. I even tried creating my own account and logging in and still don't know how to get the file. Don't know if its a dropbox problem but I've been trying since last night. I've never used dropbox before so maybe I have to do something different to get the file. Unless it's an xda thing and I don't have proper permission to download this file.
Any help would be appreciated, cause I really want to theme this bad boy.

This is not a theme template per se. You don't need to use this to flash a theme. This is for when (for example) your on cyan dragon and you decide you want to try a blue theme. This puts framework, apps, ect back to default (using nfinites rom as a base deodex) since not all themes have the same themed apps and you don't want to have some themed apps leftover on the wrong theme. This is also much faster than reflashing a rom, keeping all your apps and settings. If you're trying to flash cyan dragon then I recommend flashing nfinitefx45's stock 2.0 rom found in android developement first. The issue with the links is dropbox related and I'm planning on moving everything to multiupload later on today, then ill update the links.

Hey Dread,
If running the NFX Odex ROM, then which of the two versions would you recommend?

Its suggested to do so. If you flash a theme over a theme there might be residual themed apps leftover as not all themes theme the same apps.

I just fixed bluetooth. But a theme for JVQ will still work for Update 1. There are no theming changes between the two.
This looks great. Is there anything similar for RevolutionRom 2.7? Or alternatively is there anyway to get this installed despite the fact that I am on KI3?
Cheers,
Fitch

[THEME] Ice Cream Sandwich (Unexpected Release 5) [.58, .42, .283]

Since nobody else posted one, this is my attempt at an ICS theme for rooted stock Arc ROM.
The theme has been tested and is working on version 4.0.1.A.0.283 and 4.0.2.A.0.42, and reported working on .58, however as always, install it at your own risk.
MASSIVE thanks to XperienceD, we now have a working release 5 with CWM installer! I did almost nothing on this release, so all credit to XperienceD on getting this one out there!
Please note, this is a framework THEME file. For the launcher (including icons) and ICS style lock screen, use LauncherPro and Widget Locker. PLEASE don't post here complaining that it hasn't changed your launcher icons.
New in Release 5:
Volume/Progress bars now ICS style, thanks to XperienceD.
ICS boot animation added.
Easy ClockworkMod installer
How to install:
1. Download and install the SE Extreme Tweaker tool from HERE.
2. Following the instructions, install the ClockworkMod Recovery for your Arc.
3. Place the theme ZIP file somewhere on your SD card, root directory is always an easy one.
4. Reboot into CWM recovery by powering up and repeatedly pressing volume down.
5. TAKE A BACKUP! I am not responsible for bootloops so always take a backup just in case
5. Once backed up, select Install ZIP from SD Card, and chose ZIP to install.
6. Navigate to the theme ZIP file, select install, once installed, reboot.
7. Enjoy! (Hopefully)
Note: For the ICS style gradient background, apply the Onyx theme.
Anyway, hopefully this will work fine for everyone as it is.

I was thinking about this. Basically what has happened is I got hold of all the theme resources I could and began porting them over. I'm really REALLY new to this so I'm not familiar enough with how it works to feel comfortable doing a lot of XML editing so that would involve editing over 100 images, which I don't have time to do.
This leads me on to something I was going to say anyway. If someone more experienced than me at this wants to have a go at the battery without %, and also getting the volume/progress bars to the new ICS style then please do!
I can supply resources for the progress bars but I have no idea how to go about editing the XML so it reads from the images as opposed to just the colours.
Thanks

Thats really weird, the other icons and most other things like that are stored in the SystemUI.apk, but there are resources scattered across all 3 files so it's weird that the status bar changes but nothing else does. Are all the other resources the stock Sony Ericsson ones?

It may have something to do with using the Dooms Kernel? I don't know how the resources and framework are laid out on that, I've literally only tested it on completely stock firmware except for root.
