Mail widget - HTC Flyer, EVO View 4G

Is anybody else having problems with the mail widget not updating when mail is received? I set up my email using the stock mail app. Then I added the mail widget to the desktop. The notifier tells me that of have new mail but they never show up in the widget until after I open the mai l app. Or is that the way it is supposed to perform?

There is new mail on widget, but it on the top. You need scroll down list of mails by your finger.

The only mail in my inbox is new mail. I usually delete it after reading. So there is no older mail to scroll thru to get to the new mail.

HTC email apps not syncing w/ gmail

The HTC email apps on my Sprint Hero are not auto syncing with my gmail.
The gmail email app is auto syncing just fine, I receive emails immediately but only in my gmail brand inbox. They are not automatically going to my HTC device inbox or the HTC email widget.
Basically, if I want to get push email I have to use my gmail specific inbox.
If I want to use the HTC inbox or email widget then I dont get the luxury of push email.
I can use them both but then I get 2 notifications for each email.
Any solutions?
I know I could just set my HTC email to update every 5 minutes but that's an awful lot of battery to burn...
Is there a way to have my gmail pushed or auto synced to my HTC email apps as well as my gmail branded email inbox?
Is this already supposed to happen? Could I have broken something rooting? All I have done with root access is remove some sprintware following the safe app removal thread and installed THIS OPTIMIZER.
Any feedback will be greatly appreciated!!
Gmail support MS Exchange push, and you can set the HTC Email app up to use it. You can also turn off email notifications on the Mail app, if you want to use both Gmail and HTC mail.

mail checker or mail widget

Hi,
I am using the standard gmail app that was on the wildfire.
I only get notifications when i receive new mail in inbox and not in folders.
Does anybody now an app or widget that sends notifications for new mail in folders.

Stock mail app

Is it just my View or is the stock mail app messed up. I have a shortcut to the mail app on the home screen. When I get a new email the notifier tells me and the mail icon on the home screen has a number on showing the number of new emails. I tap the mail icon and open the mail app and instead of showing the messages, it says no mail. I have to open the mail app and then tell it to refresh on order to see the email that the app notifier has told me that I have. Is this how the stock mail app is normally?
Are you using gmail or some other mail provider?

It is a pop 3 account with the mail app. My gmail works great.
Mail app is fine on my end. Exchange, yahoo, hotmail accounts. Mail icon pops up on the notification bar, open the mail app the emails are sitting in the respective inboxes. Do you have auto download messages checked in the settings?
Yes it is set to auto download and I have the peak and off peak download time set tot he same. I also tried checking the Refresh on open but that didn't help either. I removed my pop account and set it up again and that didn't help either. I don't know what is going on with it.

Why do I get double email notifications on the top?

On the little notification bar at the top of my screen I get 2 notifications every time I get new mail to one of my Gmail accounts. I get the Gmail icon and then I get the "generic" email icon, each opens up a different app to view the same message. How do I eliminate one of these? Thanks-Dan
One is gmail. The other is htc sense gmail

You set up the HTC mail app to poll your gmail also. So you have two apps doing the same thing. Remove the account settings from the regular e-mail app.
Or you can disable the notifications in one of the apps.
That's what I did because I like gmail for certain things.

You can use the gmail app instead of the HTC mail app.
When I sign in I ignore the searching for old emails menu and the screen asking me to sign in my accounts. I only sign in to the google screen where it asks if I want to backup my settings or something like that. I only have one account that way and gmail app is flawless.

What email app are you using on your V10?

What email app are you using on your V10 and how do you like it?
I was using "Mailbox" from Dropbox but they are doing away with the app so I need something new that is fast and efficient.
I'm looking for an app that provides instant push notifications and has the little round badge count that shows up on the icon.
Any suggestions?
I use myMail: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.my.mail&hl=et
That's really good. There are ads sometimes, which are in your inbox after like every 10 mails or smth like that. But luckily those come very seldom.
gmail all day every single day
Gmail for me, too. Download the latest Exchange Services APK from APK mirror and you can also set up corporate accounts on Gmail.
+1 on using Gmail

That is. Very nice multi-account support; I do have 7 accounts configured there and it's been the best combined inbox experience for me with the most features.
Gmail / mymail
Stock.
Don't judge me.....
I just switched to the stock email client from cloudmagic. I like how I am able to just sign in the cloudmagic app on any phone and all of my email accounts along with set signatures will sync. No need to add each one.. I have 8 email accounts.
The only thing that is missing from the stock v10 email app is the ability to delete/mark read/archive from the notification. Other than that it is verry light and smooth. The search function is also quicker than cloudmagic.
myemail +1
I ended up using AquaMail Pro. It does everything the standard email & Gmail apps do plus it supports extras like.... I can send one email to a specific "group" in my contacts.

HTC Mail, best mail app anyone has come up with to date.
I think Aquamail Pro tops them all.
Gmail for Gmail. Nine for Exchange mail.
