Has this always happened since you flashed ViperRom? Or is it new?
If its always been happening, do a full wipe then re-install. Could be a bad flash.

I would say reflash. I've developed a few issues over the past week or so, possibly due to some changes, and I'm wiping and reflashing to see it if fixes it.

[Q] Random Freezing which requires a battery pull

Everything was fine for awhile...I used to flash many roms and never had this issue. I thought it might have been one rom but then realized that it happened with a few roms...didn't matter which one I flashed. The screen will freeze or the phone will freeze while charging and I need to do a battery pull to get it up again. Does anyone have any clue why this is suddenly happing to me?

simply installed a rom...no overclock...
It happens even if I select Normal and interactivex in speedtweak.sh which wasn't an issue before.
Dunno if this is of any help, but I too was experiencing frequent lockups. I am running rooted stock. The fix I found was wiping the dalvik cache. As soon as I did this I was lockup free. Good luck, and I hope this helps.

[Q] Hello, I could use some help

I just bought my thunderbolt of craigslist today and it is rooted but everything else is stock. I asked how he did it and he said the long way. Whatever that means. I 'm coming from a DroidX so my root was simple. but does it matter how he rooted it or can I only flash certain rom's. I really want synergy on my phone. Thanks for the help

So long as it has S-OFF and clockwork (which im sure it does) you should be good to go.
I just flashed synergy and its great. Only thing is my camera won't work the guy said it. Did but before I flashed the rom my front facing camera wouldn't work. Any way to fix this

Did you wipe data and cache? Sometimes when I forget to do that my phone has quirks. I'm also running synergy and my cameras works great.

Know I didn't ill try that then reflash

When switching to a new (different) Rom always format data/cache and under advanced clear divlik cache. When you upgrade you only have to format system under mounts in recovery clear cache/divlik and then flash Rom.

Check out this guy for help!
check out nat3mill on youtube
has some great tutorials on how to flash roms and etc
I have the ROM flashed and it works great, clearing dilivk really made it run smoother, but the front facing camera still doesn't work the rear does. guys think i should take it to Verizon or call up HTC. Guy I bought it off of said it worked so I guess either I get it looked at or live with it.
Just leave it, I haven't used mine since I bought it.

Just a suggestion.......try to flash a different ROM and see if your camera issue gets fixed. Make sure that you either use ROM manager to install the rom from your sd card and clear the cache and dalvik cache both or do it manually from clockwork mod prior to flashing the rom. If you get it to work with another ROM then switch back to Synergy. Sometimes stuff like that works for no reason whatsoever but it does.

Flashlight and Flash

Seems that recently the LEDs for the flash and what are also used for the flashlight are no longer operating on my husbands phone. I've tried wiping and reflashing JellyBlur v1.3 and trying various applications - but it seems that this doesn't help and that those LEDs just don't want to come on. Is there something that I can do to fix this or are they out for good?
I'm also running JellyBlur v1.3 on my phone and my flash/flashlight are working fine. While I'm waiting I'm going to try flashing another ROM to see if that solves the problem, but any tips or helpful posts are greatly appreciated. Thank You. :good:
Update It seems that switching ROMs didn't help it either. The flash still doesn't want to work nor does any flashlight application including stock. Not sure what happened, but hopefully someone can suggest a fix. (Could it be kernel or something similar related?)
- Tried reflashing JellyBlur v1.3 and Skyraider Zeus v1.3

Do you think flashing that might fix the flash issue? I've never encountered this problem before on our phones so it's new to me.
I would definitely make a backup of what you have now, do a good/clean wipe and install a nandroid backup from a different ROM in which the flash was working to see if the flash will work for you again.
If not, the flash may have just given up on you. =\
Note: Clear data 3x, cache once, and dalvik once. (I always recommend clearing data at least 3x because data doesn't always clear within the first or even second time around)

Yep, tried doing super wipe then cache/dalvik... doesn't work on any of the ROMs I have tried. I guess the flash just went out on his phone. *sad pandas*
I guess he will just have to do for now until I can buy him a new phone. :crying:

Good news. I was able to put ICS (Liquid Desensed36) and applied the new combo radio someone developed.
Using the Wi-Fi w/ root from play store using generic ics/jb (wlan0), channel 2, password protected, with router fix was able to fix his Wi-Fi tether.
Also the ICS Liquid Desenesed36 fixed his Flash and flashlight! (Don't know how; I don't question it) :good::good::good::good::good:

Angry [ROM] 08-26-2012 LIQUID-DESENSED36 *v1.1* JMOD Bluetooth Crash/bootloop

Didn't see anywhere in the thread if the bluetooth was or wasn't working. Just though I'd let you guys know that bluetooth crashes my Tbolt. I've tried it a few times, just turning it on crashes and when I try to view the bluetooth menu. And now I'm stuck in a bootloop. This is my first post and due to the sight rules I can't post on the actual thread, perhaps a mod can move this to it. Otherwise this has been great!
Try flashing the imoseyon kernal. This should fix your Bluetooth issues.

You're talking about this one, correct?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1086518
I see that it is a GB kernel and this is an ICS rom. I don't know if that makes a difference. Still pretty new at this, that's why I'm asking.
My apologies. No you cannot use this with ICS. Its early in the morning and thought I read the title to be about Jesters other ROM Jellyblur (GB ROM themed to look like ICS). There are no custom kernals yet for the Thunderbolts ICS until HTC drops the source. I will try to re-create this issue and I will get back with you unless someone gives a solution before me lol. Once again my apologies.
If you are in a bootloop you may have to re-wipe and re-install the ROM. It may have been a bad flash if BT was not working and caused a bootloop.
EDIT: although irrelevent for this ROM, the link you provided is an outdated custom kernal. The Dev has since then updated to 6.2.1

So the bluetooth doesnt work with this rom?
As far as I've tried, no. But like baronmxc said, it could be a bad flash. I'm gonna try when I get back from class in a couple hours.

Hi,
Well you are in luck I had the exact same problem today and finally found the fix. I was using the . 9 radio was working fine so thought its ok but since bluetooth was my only issue I flashed ( in hboot) the . 19 radio and now no bluetooth problem. Not only turn it on and off able to use it!
Phone has not rebooted once since I did this.
Hope this helps you out,
Bryan
Swannyman, I suggest you to try out what trapperjohn found before you wipe. I have also heard reports of the latest radio fixing these issues also.

Great!
I love it when a plan comes together.
I also notice alot more 4g speed.
That bootloop sucks.
I wonder if this radio came out when the leak was initially released.
Would explain why on gingerbread we didn't see a big change but obviously the minor change in it was for ics.
Thanks,
Bryan

Since the problem got solved...figured I'd jump in with a couple issues that I'm having with this rom.
1* I go into settings and to my apps. When I click an app and it brings up the space used and other info...everything says computing and doesn't show a value. I'm trying to move my apps to the SD and it does nothing since they wont compute. Anybody with this issue...a fix?
2* When I get a SMS, the LED keeps blinking after the message is closed or replied to. It stops after a few minutes, but its annoying. I have GoSMS.

1. Wait and let it total all the apps before entering to move them. It may take a minute if you have a lot of apps.
2. That's a bug with gosms. I never could figure out a fix other than disabling the led notification.

I finally got them moved, but it would take 1-4 minutes a piece to move. And when I try to uninstall an app, it just says uninstalling and hangs on that screen.

Hi,
Have you rebooted since installing the rom?
Usually a reboot and waiting 5 after boot corrects this problem.
Thanks,
Bryan

Games Crashing Constantly on 4.3

I've searched around the forums and have been unable to locate a thread or post that pertains to the issues that I'm currently dealing with....
Every time I open a game I can get anywhere from 30seconds to a few minutes of playtime before the game just shuts down. I'm not getting a force close message or anything, the phone just goes back to the home screen. If I go back into the game it just starts it over. Right now I'm running the latest Beanstalk with the included latest Uber, but it is not just with this ROM that the issue shows itself. Its been happening to me with every 4.3 ROM I've put in my phone...
Not sure if its just me that's having the issue, if anyone has a fix, or if someone can just say my phone is broke so my wife will let me have a new one lol.

Yeah I'm not blaming any one rom, I think my phone just doesn't like 4.3 at all lol. I'm gonna keep going through it and see if I find a specific setting or something I may have changed.

Do you clean install..?....i use twrp 2.5 people were having issues with newer versions........put ROM and gapps on SD external.....wipe everything else like 3 times and install....i flash ROM 2 times in a Row for good measure lol couple people do it ......
my addiction:Flashing.
Well, Shayne has no trouble playing games and I don't either so obviously your phone is broken and must be replaced immediately (or on the 4th when the Note 3 hits the stores)!:good::laugh: Can't have your phone freezing up when she's trying to call you. Yep, time for a new one! Come to think of it mine is about to break too!
I'm having the same issue running any 4.3 rom as it is a known problem but not on every phone. Not all phones react the same so we must be a few that can't run cm10.2 yet. The issue is being looked into and slowly getting the bugs worked out. I think I'll try the 2.5 twrp to see if that is the main problem with mine. Thanks for the suggestion Shane :good:
Well i thought i remembered seeing that newer versions of twrp wont do the partitions correctly for 4.3....but i may be totally wrong ..sometimes my days blend together and so do words on xda at times .
