Can't call Sprint Customer Service - HTC EVO 3D

I am stock and not running any dialer apps. Every time I try to call customer service, either *2 or 1-888-211-4727 I get a message that says network is busy try again later. I can make a call from my other Sprint phone but the EVO 3D won't make a call. Anyone have this happen before? Any ideas how to fix it without doing a factory reset?

Try Dialing 611, or 1-800-639-6111 Instead!

Try #2 instead, I read that that way always works, even without having Sprint Zone installed.

Thanks again. Now if I can get this error code 128 to go away I'll be good. I think that is why I can't use *2 or the 1-888-211-4727 number.

That was one of first places I went. Sprint is starting to get calls on this also. I am sure they will come out with something soon. I hope. Thanks again for your help.

[Q] Not able to dial *228 with Das BAMF 1.4 remix Rom

Hi All,
I have a quick question for you all, Have any one of you running the BAMF 1.4 remix have had troubles dialing *228? I installed this rom last night (LOVE IT! by the way) but when I dialed *228 to update my roaming capablities it quickly aborted. I rebooted it and uninstalled this "voice choice" app I use to filter #'s toin which to use google voice or not but it still aborts. Does anyone else have this issue or is it possibily my phone? Just curious.
I dont get it.

You're not supposed to be able to dial that period, unless you want to destroy your sim card. It's no longer needed (dialing *228). Search the forums for more details as to why.

Interesting... I did not know that. Before posting this question, I did do a search on "*228" and "Dialing *228" and found nothing. I'll keep searching as to why *228 is no longer needed, I am now really curious ... thanks again
228 was as cdma thing. Not needed with the LTE technology

sim cards update your prl everytime you reboot the phone, with cdma you had to dial *228 to update your prl profile.
so reboot your phone and you will have latest prl.
Thanks All, Makes sense and clear... Very appreciated!

[Q] sms wont send after root? and s-off

my phone says error after sending texts
anyone have this error
also i cant call or anything please help
Stay on the line after calling someone. Sprint will pick up. Tell them you have error code 16, give them a second number to call you back on (you have to turn your phone off.). They'll push something. Turn your phone back on, make a call and you're done.

I don't think thats the correct #. Nothing happens when i dial that
Get on Sprint.com/chat, and make a request for exactly this: CHLR refresh. It solved my SMS Error Cause Code: 97, & Error Class: 2. I was at it for hours until thirty minutes ago just on this SMS issue.

Can you guys please check your ROMs and tell me if this works?

Hi Guys,
I hope everyone is doing well. I need some help from you guys.
Can all of you please check the ROM you have and verify if the this programming code works? ##AKEY#.
Don't worry, it will not do anything to your phone, just cancel out of it. I need to know which ROMs are supporting this cause I need to enter an A-Key manually. It will just save me the effort of flashing various ROMs to figure out which one has it working. My current ROM SteelROM 2.2, does NOT have this... NOTHING happens when I dial in the code.
Thanks for all your help!

Thanks for checking Mr. Chow! Are you saying that menu works on the Virus ROM? Gotta link, Sir? Thanks!
Works on mine as well.
Works on the Chogardjr3D ROM (2.3.4)
Steelrom 2.6 works, you know you can install the epst.apk that works with that dial code seperately.

Thanks very much for your responses guys! On the Virus Enternity, when I enter the MSL/SPC code, I don't actually get a menu to enter the A-Key. Can you guys confirm this behavior?
How about the other ROMs, after the ##AKEY#, and the correct MSL/SPC, does the menu stay up to enter the actual A-Key? Thanks again for your help!

Cruise, can you give me a link to a WORKING EPST.apk, please? Thank you, Sir.
Guys, can anyone help?
I am not even getting the popped up menu for AKEY on the Chogardjr3D ROM and the CleanROM.
ANY help on this would be VERY MUCH appreciated! The only ROM AKEY menu seemed to be working on was the Virus ROM, but as described above, it wouldn't STICK or give me a chance to enter the A-Key. That is after I entered the correct MSL/SPC.
Please help guys! Thank you!

Guys, just want to confirm. When the AKEY menu DOES work, it just doesn't stick long enough for me to enter the code, AFTER I enter the MSL/SPC Code.
For the folks this code works for, can you please tell me if this is happening for you? You can get your MSL via the MSL Reader from the Market, but it has to be a rooted device. Thanks for ANY HELP you guys can provide, thanks!
What are you trying to do? My stays on long enough to enter my msl code. And I have the epst apk if you still need it

Trying to enter the A-Key thizzlemania. My stays on long enough for the SPC and MSL as well, but then the menu doesn't come up to actually enter the A-Key and commit. Can you confirm this behavior on yours as well? Thanks!

Wow! Can you confirm what Radio you have and also how to install radios on the EVO 3D ?
I have prl 21080 and pri 1.15. I don't like updating my radios cuz it seems with each update I get less download speeds. But in the dev section there's a thread with all the radios

Thanks for the confirmation thizzlemania, and you confirm that you can indeed see the menu long enough to enter an A-Key, right?
I don't think it's the PRL that would affect this kinda thing. Can you maybe share what kernel you're running?
Anyone else have any thoughts on this? Would really, really appreciate this guys!

[Q] Unable to Send Text Messages

I got my G3 yesterday. I can send/receive calls and I can receive text messages, but I cannot send text messages. Messages state "Sending" and then fail. I have rebooted, reset to factory, pulled the battery, and done an ancient smartphone dance, but nothing is working. Ideas?

Ha same problem on my G3 from Videotron. Had to reset to factory to get working again. Wi try the updates you guys are talking cause it takes hell of a time to send them sometimes. Receiving works all the time. Is just sending. Maybe ill try the ancient smartphone dance too just because it looks like a cool way to fix this

Yes, sprint, ls992, if you can get it to work, let me know please, because i hate sprints visual voice mail... I can't get it to work with my google voice number, or by merging my number with my google voice account... Very irritating...
