The USB jig may get to download mode and is worth a try as you have voided the warranty on the phone .

Well that is the effect when u can't download it from the galaxy S II thread cause of the school network banning it for malware.
If you are gonna google up a mirror make sure it's the right deal

But serious is the jig gonna help here or not

Okay so after much and much reachersh
I got odin to pick up my ace but the screen does not go on......
And then when I say flash it just says setting up conection and stays there
Any help???
You can try with a JIG (Dongle USB) ..if Download Mode on your Ace isn't damaged it would start in Download Mode, then Flash Firmware with Odin
It seems he was using the old version of RZ recovery which had the boot.img bug. He might not have updated to the latest fixed version.

Maby....I don't know anyway to fix it??
I think no if recovery and Download Mode don't start..
Last year i bricked my old Galaxy S..recovery doesn't starts, Download Mode doesn't starts..so i bought a JIG ..just putted it in my Galaxy S and in 3-5 seconds it autostarts in Download Mode
When i bought a second hand Galaxy Ace a few weeks ago i find my jig and i tried it on Ace, my phone automatically starts in Download Mode so it is 100% compatible with Galaxy Ace you can be sure buying it
Ok thanks from what I read online it looks like it works
So I am gonna try and make one
THANKS!
Sure..tested by me
and remember CWM recovery backups doesn't work on RZ
Dude i really dont think CWM backups work on RZ!!!
Okay okay I just thought I would try cuz I figered that nothing bad could happen that I could just reflash a new rom if the rom does not boot but...

mostly the second download mode which ace have that is arm dump mode or whatever can directly interact with insides.. if phone can enter that thing then it is recoverable by them..
i saw something similar in Galaxy R thread to recover it from hardbrick.. but no such files are there for SGA

S2 I9100 won't start after flashing CM9 Stable

Hello Friends,
I am in desperate need of your help.
I am a moderate user and I know how to stuffs about Rooting and flashing custom ROMs.
Today I tried to flash CM9 stable ROM for International Galaxy S2 I9100. I did it using temporary CWM.zip file and everything went just fine till the installation of ROM. But when I clicked Wipe Data, suddenly phone went off and now it doesn't start.
I tried everything, tried to enter into Download mode and Recovery mode but all was in vain.
Please help me what should I do now? And is my phone ever going to come back to life?

Do you know what kernal you had at the time, for the phone to go off during a wipe sounds like the brick bug but I didn't think it was present in LPT. Can other members clarify please. Does your phone charge when plugged into charger?

I'm sorry but that's your fault.
It's being said 1 million times already, that wiping your data in CWM while running stock 4.0.4 ROM with a stock kernel will BRICK your phone.
Your inability to read might have left your phone bricked.
Read through the forum next time, ask questions if you don't understand anything and I can assure you will be luckier next time.

Yes there are many threads in this section and on xda portal warning you about the brick bug...
Almost all 4.0.4 have a brick bug... moreover it is caused when we do a data wipe. I believe you have bricked your device... sorry for that

that's why I blamed you for this. You did not read or ask before wiping but was only guessing.
This is a sticky thread under General section warning everyone about the buck bug. Here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1756242
I and many others have also warned people about this bug but the unfortunate thing is that most of ask these kind of questions after the problem has occurred.

As far as I know all 4.0.4 ROMS have MMC_CAP_ERASE enabled, so in case of having bad chip and using wipe under temporary CWM floating around you will brick your phone. Although seems the problem is only in touch version of CWM. More detailed information can be found in 1st guide in my signature where Phil was talking with Entropy512.

Sorry dude
You might have to send your phone to device center for repairs but if you are out of warranty or wants to try to Fix things yourself, then the advise/instructions below is for you:
-boot your phone with usb jig, if you can get to download mode, then proceed to next step
-Visit this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1841099

Hi guys,
Thanks for all your replies.
I already figured it out that I have bricked my phone. But I was under impression that Data wipe with CM9 ROMs is not dangerous. At the time of failure I had already installed CM9.
Guess now I'll have to send the phone to Service center.
One thing I want to ask, "If the phone is hard bricked, is there any chance of them knowing that I had installed a custom ROM?"
If they can't then it might help me since my phone is still under 1 year manufacturer warranty.
Please reply and Thank you for your replies. The latest adventure of mine turned out to be painful one!!

I don't think so. since you can't boot into either recovery or download mode.
Even if you have an increased binary counter, it will be cleared once your device is forced with a usb jig to boot into download mode.

So if you can't enter into download or recovery mode there is no way to find out if i have used any custom ROM or rooted the phone?

That was the problem.
Your kernel has brick bug, it's being said 1 million times but you did not read it or ask questions before messing around with your device.
I'm afraid your device may be hard bricked.
I'm sorry.
Let's see what can be done.
If you can get to download mode with combined buttons or usb jig then visit this thread: forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1841099

And people say Samsung has a bad customer service, Samsung FTW
The easiest way to Root your phone is probably the Chainfire Root, which you can find here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1103399
It`s very important that you read the instructions there on how to Root your phone.
It´s a great method because it gives you Root and Clockworkmod in one package and you will keep your stock Kernel.
After that you can install any Rom or Kernel you want but it`s highly recomended to not install any Kernel with the Hard Brick Bug. Read this thread for more information:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1756242
If you really want to remove the triangle there is a mod from chainfire, called TriangleAway: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1494114
but I would recommend not to do it, since people also managed to screw that up (bricking their phone), I mean is it really so disturbing to see the Triangle for 2 seconds everytime you reboot?
Good Luck

Plead ignorance and send it in for warranty repair. I hard bricked my SGS2 last week and it was repaired under warranty, no questions asked. If the repairers can't turn it on they can't tell you voided the warranty and they will just replace the motherboard. In Australia it takes 5 -10 working days.
If it is out of warranty there is a place in the US that claims to be able to repair a hard bricked SGS2, google is your friend.

If you can't get into recovery or download mode, you're probably going to have to take it to a service center and have them JTag it.
I guess you could try a jig to try forcing it into download mode first, but it's a pretty slim chance.

As for how much time do they need, I don't know. I've never had to do it. But I'd imagine it depends on several factors.
If there is a phone repair shop you can physically take the phone to, it will probably be faster than if you had to ship it to a shop that has the necessary equipment.

If it was an official Samsung service center, I have heard they typically do not try to JTag, and will just replace the board, which yes, is more expensive.
Apparently you didn't read too many of the google search links on what JTag is.
Many mobile phone repair shops have what is called a Riff box, that is used for JTag repair. It is a device you solder to a port on the main board of the phone to reflash the bootloader in an attempt to get the phone to boot. It doesn't always work, however. If it does work, most places usually end up charging you around $50.
Up to you how much you want this phone back to an operational state.
Ok Thanks ....Today i'll Try On Local Shops ...
But i think in your case Jig will wirg... Give it a try if you can arrange one easily
Peace
Hit Thanks & It will Disappear

Jeez, your not "bricked".
Its really starting to get irritating the amount of "bricked" comments we get when all the user needs to do is flash rom/kernel correctly.
