[Q] [MOD] Advanced power menu for I9100XXKK5 - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
I would like to update my GS2 to Android 2.3.6 (firmware I9100XXKK5) bt I'm afraid not to find the related advanced power menu for this firmware. Seems that the last possible download is for KI3 firmware!?
Can you help me?
Best regards
Jean-Marc

using jkay, you can set up your own advanced power menu.
install an KK5 rom, install jkay 12.2 if the rom does not come with it.
go to menu - deluxe settings, scroll down to near bottom, pick your power menu items.
exit and you have a customized advanced power menu.

From the leo hints, tips and reg tweaks thread:
15. How to Hard Reset your Phone
To hard reset your phone which means to delete ALL personal data and settings and have the phone in factory default conditions as if you turned on the phone for the first time after purchasing, press the following buttons:
1. With the device turned off, press and hold the VOLUME UP and VOLUME DOWN buttons, then briefly press the POWER button.
2. Continue pressing the VOLUME UP and VOLUME DOWN buttons until you see this message on the screen:
"This operation will delete all your personal data, and reset all settings to the manufacturer default settings. Press VolUp to restore manufacturer defaults, or press other keys to cancel."
3. Release the VOLUME UP and VOLUME DOWN buttons.
4. Press the VOLUME UP button to perform the hard reset, or press any other button to cancel the reset.
You can also use Clear Storage to reset your device back to factory default settings.
1. On the Home screen, slide to the Settings tab and then tap All Settings.
2. On the System tab, tap Clear Storage.
3. Enter “1234” and then tap Yes.
Make sure you back up all your data such as Contacts, Appointments etc or they will be gone forever.
If you have flashed a custom ROM you need to download (if you don't have a backup) your stock ROM and flash it.
Thread for how to do that is HERE.
thanks a lot guys ill give this a shot. much appreciated

[Q] How to add reboot and recovery on power button on void echo?

I saw that there's the reboot and recovery menu available by pressing the power button on other roms. Is there any way to put things like these on void? I saw some guides out there but it only works on specific devices..
I'm flashing things and customizing my android frequently so I thought that putting these on the power button can speed up the process.
The power menu is ROM/THEME specific. If you flash a rom which does not include this option then the power setting will not have reboot or recovery option.
Why don't you install one of the theme found here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=916006
The honeycomb one has working power options
On a side note: if you don't want to install themes, then just install terminal emulator from the market.
Type su
reboot (to reboot) or
recovery (to reboot into recovery)

[Q] CWM recovery - Button Mapping

Looking to port cwm to a new tablet (ideapad k1) i have compiled the cwm to the tablet and have successfully booted into recovery. However, there is no way to select an item from the menu. none of the buttons mapped to select. How can i manually change this? I have tried compiling with the has-no-select feature, but doing so inhibits my ability to bring the menu up at all.
(has-no-select changes the power button to select, but in order to get into cwm i must press the power key to access the menu. With the button changed, i cannot access the menu at all)
The ideapad has a "home" button that i would like to remap to select for the cwm. if someone could point me in the right direction i would be very appreciative. Thanks

Extended Power Menu Options?

Hey guys, I was searching and searching but didnt find a thing, so plz help me.
I have a rooted, odexed, international galaxy note 2 (stock rom) 4.1.2 XXDLK7, what I want is the extended power menu options.
The power menu options are the options that appear when after pressing and holding the power button, if u want to shut down or restart ur device for example.
The EXTENDED power menu options are options that allow u to have these options also: Hot boot, soft reboot, reboot into recovery, download mode, etc
Thanks anyway!
Have been searching too. From being on TW rom now i am back to stock and want to add that feature. Would be very pleased if someone helps!

Click to collapse
If you are on CyanogenMod or AOSP go into the developpers settings and you will find advanced reboot
