I'm from the US but i'm currently travelling in the Philippines. I ended up buying this Samsung Galaxy Y the other day and flashed the infected rom on it, Now Gmaps is not showing up and when i try to install it.. it says is not available for this device same with the pinger application. Can anyone help me with a get around to this?

or look for a similar more popular thread(couldn't find) if manual install is an option for you..
else check if build.prop>ro.build.fingerprint(I am not sure if this is the one) is same as that in stock.

I have a problem i bought few applications when i flash custom rom its not showing up at present i am in MIUI rom. Any suggestions welcome.
does it not appear in the market or on your phone after installing it?
It might help to log onto market.android.com and try to send the installers to your phone. If it doesn't show up/it's greyed out, I guess the version of the app won't work with MIUI without buying it again. In that case, see if you're still eligible for refunds and rebuy it.
You sure they weren't purchased with a different Google account?

It may also help to clear the market data and cache...log back in...its happened to me a couple of times too.

I tried to download Splashtop in the market but got this message "This app is incompatible with all of your devices." I attached the screen grab here. What's more strange is that I used to be able to download it and use it without any problem. That was before I reset my tablet. Any of you guys out there having the same issue? Any help is much appreciated.
That's strange, I have it on my Tab and am using it almost daily, everything works. But I have a P-7500. Maybe a simple mistake on their part? Or an update that doesn't work with out Tabs yet?
Are you running a stock ROM? Is your Tab rooted? We can help with a little more info

Strange, I have P7500 with Overcome 2.2.0 and no issues.
I'm writing with it from my tab.

Um I was looking at your screenshot and it doesn't even recognized that your have purchased this. I was able to uninstall and install with no issues. Only difference was Market showed I had purchased it. I'm running task13 with Boosted theme. I would send an email to the developer to see what they say or tried to reinstall market on your tab and see if that helps.

Not sure if you can see this if you don't buy the app, but when you click install in a free app and are choosing which device to send it to, it offers some extra info if your device is unsupported (for instance "this application is not available in your country" etc)

Thanks for the reply. I have seen "not available in your country" message before for some other apps but not this one. I installed it before but that was the trial version. Anyhow, I will try getting into market using a VPN and see what happens. Thanks everyone.

Tried both resetting the tab and accessing Market using VPN. Now "Splashtop Desktop Remote" doesn't even come up. All I got is this (shown in the picture attached). I am just really puzzled.

Sorry to hear you couldn't make it work... as a last idea, did you try emailing their support team? They might have a solution for you, or at least tell you what exactly the problem is

Hi, my sister just bought an SGS II but found out some weird problem in Market. Ok here's the question, my sis and few of her friends also using SGS II, but when they searched for same app in Market, only my sis's Market is missing some apps while all her friends can see/download the apps. Even when i use my Vibrant to searched for the missing app in my Market, i have the apps but my sis doesnt. So did anybody came across the same problem? And why is that happening? She did a factory reset but getting the same result.

if you are rooted use market enabler and select either a different country or a different provider. it should show up the missing apps.
Nope the phone haven't yet, cos she say still under warranty. May i know why is her Market have this kind of problem? Thanks

no it is not a problem, is a feature. it depends on the provider and the place you live.
i did not ask, what is your firmware version?
maybe an update without rooting, although unrooting is easy.
Anyone got this or a link to get the latest version as I can't update it from the play store just say's it's not compatible with my device

Its the Natwest bank app i use it allthe time on my phone but it died and as been sent of for repair. So i wanted the natwext app for my tab but when i try and download it from the play store it says its not compatible for my device even though i used to have it on it

That might be a difficult one to track down. Have you tried installing it from the web play store instead of from your device? Sometimes that works for some reason.

I've attached it to this post, not sure if its the latest version but its one I extracted from a phone running GB for my girlfriend after she had the same problem with it saying it wasn't compatible on her Nexus S with ICS.

I recommend caution when installing these kind of apps from apks found on the web; there is always the chance that they have been modded to steal your banking info, so what I'd suggest for further updates is to try some kind of market enabler app rather than go online searching for it.
Don't say that i've already installed it you know when you download a app from the play store does it store it anywhere on your phone first

I currently have the RBS banking app installed on my Galaxy Nexus. However it has recently been updated to allow users to make cardless atm withdrawals. Probably because I have a rooted device google are not letting me update to that version.

Installed the stock Rogers ICS UXLF4 update through kies today. It is missing SNote. I tried to install versions of SNote from my previous ROMs but all lead to FC. May be a deodexxed issue?? Anyone have any info on why SNote was not included on this Canadian ROM and anyway to get it reinstalled?

There was no S-note in samsung apps when I looked. Samsung apps even updated and I even registered. There was MyStory among a host of other s-pen apps but no s-note. Anyway to send a link to the download?

Since I am using the phone on ATT I must be blocked. I see every other s-pen and note apps out there. But no S-note.
Got to thinking about S-note. It requires lib files that can't be installed with an apk. So I don't think you can get it on Samsung Apps. I know a few said they did but it must be another app. I am taking an educated guess that it will be a software update soon available OTA or by kies. I tracked down the lib files and installed snote from the latest ATT ICS update and all is working well.

I was able to see the S-note app. But is says it is only for the GT-I9220. What do you see on that page for available devices?
I was also able to get Kies to show samsung apps. Had to hack my registry to say CA instead of US for Kies and now samsung apps shows up. But it still says the SGH-I717R is not supported.

Trying to figure out which way I should go. I can't login with my canadian login on my phone itself. It says wrong country. I can login to samsung apps now (country hacked) and see samsung apps. But it says my phone is not supported. Can you login to samsung apps through kies and see if the I717R is supported? Either samsung does not support branded phones through kies or the I717 series is temp pulled from the site.

I am guessing that we are both blocked on samsung apps through kies. The I717 phones are also not compatible with samsung apps on kies probably because they are all branded devices. I am sort of blocked on samsung apps on the phone cause I am in the USA. I can log into SA of US but not of Canada. US does not have the s-note download. So basically samsung shut the door on canadian phones in the USA from downloading s-note and possibly other important apps.
I have the version from the ATT ICS ROM installed. Not the same version but good enough for now.

Just a thought, have you thought about trying to put the ICS Rogers modem in your phone (not sure if it is possible) ? Mine is showing I717RUXLF4.

I have that modem. My phone is 100% Rogers except for being rooted and my location is in the USA. Haven't changed my sig yet as I don't know which direction I am heading.
