Wow. nice find.
Too bad I have to purchase mine in the store

From what I can tell, this won't work for upgrades. At least I can't find a way to get it to work. I think it's only for new activations.

Can I add a new line and then cancel one of my other 2? Guess I would lose my grandfathered unlimited data wouldn't I?

I can't get it to work to add a line to a family plan

Awesome! Thanks for the heads up!
It worked perfect for me. $213.99 total, shipping on the 16th! Glad I got on here first, otherwise I would be kicking myself later for missing this.

Sorry, forgot to mention that. I added a line.

doesnt work for me either. need to be existing at&t wireless customer on monthly plan. if you're on prepaid or dont have any prior at&t services - cant use that discount

I can't get it to work for upgrading my line either.... that sucks big time
Sent from my Dell Streak using XDA App

I have two lines on my account both eligible for upgrade. Any AT&T employees up right now that might be able to tell me how I could do this if I want to keep my number?
Can I add a line and then switch the number on that line to one of my existing lines and cancel the existing one? LOL . . . what a headache but I might save a bill??

Thank you soooooooo Much for this!
Sent from my Desire HD using Tapatalk

It wouldn't work for me. I'm an existing customer that is upgrade eligible. Getting the following error message:
The current promotional discount cannot be applied to the items in your shopping cart. We're sorry, the conditions for "Up to $100 discount" have not been met.

Please change the thread title -- it's very misleading.

Yes it's not applicable for an upgrade. It's clear about that.
And I agree, if you can't get this discount, this thread should be modified as people will try (some for a considerable length of time, like me ).

Currently, I can not upgrade at the 299 price but I really want the note. IDEA: If I were to use this $100 off deal, and then cancel the line with an early termination fee... How much would I be paying in the end?
Regards,

Thank you so much for this. Saved me money big time. By the way i am a new customer to AT&T and no prior contracts.

Chat Rep says this offer is avaialble for those who don't qualify for "Upgrade Eligibility"

Galaxy SII for $99 + waived activation through Att for new or add a line customers...

Just wanted to give you guys the heads up in case you wanted to save some cash.
http://www.att.com/shop/wireless/de...are&siteId=dZCX6Je2w8Q-qVgZQxVXkXmNQFaqr618rQ <-- Direct Att link
Just click on either "new customer" or "add a line" then search for the Galaxy S II, add your voice/data plan and checkout and you will see a 50% off promo applied ($99 off) + the activation fee is waived + free overnight shipping.
This deal doesn't work for upgrades so this seems like just for new customers and those that want to add a new line to their family plan. For upgrades you would want to go through Amazon Wireless for the best price $150 tax free.
Hope this helps someone

Your welcome. Happy to help
Thats the thing I'm not really sure how long it lasts
The article that I found this from is http://www.logicbuy.com/deals/samsung-galaxy-s-ii-smartphone/34417.aspx which says that the free activation ($35 value) ends on 10/3 but doesn't say anything about when the 50% off coupon ends...
AT&T usually has those 50% off coupons available most of the time. If this one gets disable you can just chat with a sales representative and they will give you a link to the newest coupon(s). Also, I doubt the iPhone 5 will do anything to the coupon(s) since these don't work with iPhones and some other few phones.
this is a great deal..thanks!!!!
Thank you for the info! Just added a line for my dad and now I have a GSII shipping to me by Tuesday

I just tried the above link again, and it still has 50% off for me.. maybe clear your browse cache, and make sure you pick all the plans, and add to cart. The discounted price should show up when you check out.
says 199.99 for me also...
I see you need both a voice and data plan when buying the Galaxy s ii. My question is: will the senior Nation 200 plan (for 65+ customers - not sure of the name of the plan) qualify as the voice plan or does to have to be a $39 and up plan? Thank you
They cancelled my order without any warning. I tried doing it again and it says it does not apply Looks like they caught on.

so the link will let you order, but will cancel it later? hmm.. I haven't go through with it yet, since I'm waiting for my Sprint contract to clear up.. I was hoping they would fix it before the day end, so I can use the above link to order.. but, if there's a problem, then maybe we need to find another way to order it.

They hate me 'cause I'm a Premier business account. This time, I registered for a brand new line and hopefully it will come around. Then I can just combine the lines with my current FamilyTalk and it should be okay.
ahh, gotcha. I went ahead and placed the order with the above link. There are no more free activation and no more over night shipping (2-day shipping instead), but I still got the 50% off for the phone.. overall, pretty good deal!
Btw, this deal still exist until 10/7, but you have to pay activation, and it's 2-day shipping now.
Still works as it's available until 10/7. You have to place the order rather quickly to keep the discount active. If you leave it for a few minutes - it will become invalid and you will have to start the order all over again. Fortunately when I did it again it was already in the shopping cart as I clicked on the link by the OP.
I saved a hundred bucks by going this route than going in the store. Sure, it's nice to get a number of your own choosing and having the phone right away when you buy it in the store, but saving a Benjamin is a no-brainer, period.
was going to add another line with this, but I don't get the $99 price at checkout.

Amazon Wireless has the rezound for a penny.

Just a heads up guys, the penny price works even for adding a line.
Yea, but not upgrade price, which is what most people are doing. $229 to upgrade for those of you that have been waiting! http://wireless.amazon.com/dp/B0061...f_rd_i=G001&pf_rd_p=1332536882&pf_rd_s=left-5
Yeah, but if you're already on a family account, it's a cheap way to get a new phone. $10/month ($240) + $.01 + Cheap dumbphone (to cancel data). and you still come out way less than $299 and especially $649
Just switched back to Verizon and picked two of these up from Amazon for a penny each!! Sprint let me out of my contract because their service is abysmal. They'll be here in 2 days!!! Can't wait!!!!
only for new accounts?... that sucks. I was ready to return this & then order from amazon. oh well.

I am not trying to have a bunch of lines, I already have 4 and only use 3, lol. Luckily since I have a Military/Veteran account I can call and suspend a line for as long as I damn well please for free. But, I would rather pay the $10/month until it goes away, or my girlfriend finally decides to ditch Metro PCS and her Huwaei wannabe smartphone.

how does that work with adding a line anyway?
i see the option on amazon labelled "Add a line - to my family account" yet i just have the 1 line right now... so i don't believe it's considered a 'family' thing.

I believe once you add a line to an individual account, you will need to choose from a Family Share plan. You might want to be careful with doing so in case you have been grandfathered in with Unlimited Data though.
I have three lines right now on a family plan with my GF and the third I use as a "home" phone. Thinking about adding another to get a Rezound now.

was thinking about canning my t-mobile account & switching over... although on t-mobile i still have that '5 favs' thing + unlimited internet & pay $44/month on it... so unless i could get a better value on verizon then maybe i should just keep it.

I don't see why his voice plan would mess with his data at all. It didn't affect mine.
If you have a family share plan you get 10 favorite people you share. My mom, my brother and I use a combined ~750 minutes/month. I barely make phone calls unless they are for school/work/etc.
meh, i paid $267 on release day fo rthis phone, and i'm not even having any buyers remorse that's making me want to go return it and try to get it online for a penny lol
If you add a new line don't you still need to add a data plan?

I'm not saying it would, but if he/she currently does have unlimited data they may want to verify they would not lose unlimited. It is a possibility changing a Voice Plan could alter that and I would think it could be different than just upgrading a phone and maintaining your same plan (even with an additional line).

Yes, but you can later move that new line to a dumbphone and cancel data no problem.
Sorry for all the questions but i've never done this before. If I opened a new line, how would it affect my current line that it would be moved to, which is an unlimited 3g plan?

You would have to change whatever voice plan you have to a family plan.
Your data feature would stay as it is attached to your current line.
The new line would be a new number with a $9.99 monthly fee + whatever features you attach to that line ($30 data for example).
Oh ok. I already have a family plan. Basically I'd like to know if I'll be grandfathered into an unlimited 4g plan or will I have to choose a tiered one.

$299 for Galaxy Note preorder off contract?

My contract doesn't expire until December, but I went through with the preorder anyways. Was I supposed to be able to get the $299 subsidized 2-year commitment price? It ended up working, but I'm afraid I'll be intercepted by AT&T.
I ordered the same way, same price. All the other phones were showing full price and the GNore 299.00. So I didn't even waste a second and ordered it. I remember it was the same way when Atrix was on preorder it was showing 199.00 and all the other phones were full price.
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda premium
They might be running some kind of promotion? I checked this out with one of my lines that isn't available for an upgrade till Nov. All the phones are at full retail price except the Note. When I clicked on the Nitro HD it said "Retail Price: $549.99" When I checked the Note it said "2-Year Term Renewal Price: $299.99"
i saw this and went ahead and checked and there it was. Odd, my renewal isn't until next year but I tried for it anyways. The worst that can happen is that it gets canceled right? Though at the moment I'm in Asia, hopefully if they cancel, they'll do it before I go home so I can just pick up an international one instead.
Everytime I try to click on upgrade button to see if I can do this the stupid myatt site says "Handoff failure, An Error Has Occurred
There appears to be an unidentified problem with your request. Unfortunately, we can not continue with your request. To return to My Account, click the Manage My Account link."

well I pre ordered on Sunday. At that time, people in other threads claimed that ATT didn't have a set off-contract price. I guess they just let me pre order anyways? Perhaps they recently input the off contract price and you can't pre order with 2 year contract anymore. I hope they don't cancel my order - my credit card already has a hold for the 299+ taxes price

Weird... mine does the following:
1) Login to my wireless account at att.com
2) Click the "upgrade phone" directly under account overview
3) It shows me both lines seperately (no checkboxes) and to the right of each number you can click on "upgrade eligibility". It also says under each of my phone #'s "As a valued AT&T customer, you may qualify for an upgrade on this line, with no-commitment equipment pricing and without signing a two-year commitment. Select Upgrade Eligibility to view upgrade options."
4) I click on "upgrade eligibility" and it takes me to a screen that says "You are not eligible at this time for an upgrade at a discounted price. However, you can take advantage of our no commitment pricing. Additional discounts may be available on 5/13/2013."
5) On the bottom of the screen there is an option to "shop the premier store" and when you click on that you are taken to a page that shows phones available for no contract pricing (Note being $649)
Weird, I'm also eligible for the $299 pre-order... the option to buy off-contract doesn't even come up for me! However, I'm on the grandfathered unlimited plan, and there is no option to keep that plan... is it possible?

Just Pre-ordered EVO LTE from Wirefly (Upgrade Price) for $139
Was $119, sorry ladies & gents, deal was limited time only.

I have used Wirefly before, I was very happy with them, so they will continue to get my business.

Just a friendly warning, the sale seems to be linked to specific zip codes. The link in the OP is setup for Garfield NJ, 07026 and the one I actually used was for Spring TX. If I updated the zip to my real zip code, the sale price is $149. Their system will also AUTOMATICALLY make your City, State, zip that of which the link takes you to.
Now I placed my order, realized the address issue and will contacted them tomorrow to modify my address. Not sure if that will effect the price I pay BUT one thing is for sure, its not going to cost me $217 either way.
I'll update here after I get the address corrected and confirm my price after. I figure I'll give it a day in their system to get to stick and then update the address.
I ordered yesterday for $149.99
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
It should be noted that there is a $37 activation fee from Sprint.
I changed the zipcode to mine (here in chicago) and it kept the $119.99 price. And yes, there is a $36 activation fee, but this is still cheaper than $150 if you figure in the $10 google wallet credit...
$119.99
$36
-$10
-----------
$145.99
Not bad at all. Not the $10 I paid for my evo a few days before christmas (price match + rebate), but flipping that, I should net under $50 or less for the whole thing.
EVO for $99.99 if you have Bank of America
Log into your bofa account and click on the add it up link. click on cell phone deals and bofa will credit your account $50 if you buy using their link. I tried getting the $119.99-$50 add it up, but it won't work.
One or the other.
By the way, to get the $119.99 deal, do a google search for "wirefly friends and family" and click on the first non-ad link.
So to summarize, $119.99 if you don't have bofa
or
$99.99 if you have bofa using the add it up link.

How will they know? You don't activate through them. You buy from them, tell them it's for the upgradable line, then when you get it, you activate through Sprint and have them so the switch. Wirefly is out of the picture once you have the device.

Why is there an activation charge?
How is this any different than buying a phone off of Craigslist and getting it activated?
Edit:
Does Sprint charge $37 activation even if you get it from them anyway?
(If so, then this isn't an issue. Gotta pay it either way, right?)

Because you need to "activate" it on the carrier and it's no different, you would be paying the same charge no matter where you get the phone. Now, the activation fee did double but that puts Sprint in line with the other carrier's activation/upgrade fees and adds more cash to the "fix the network" pot.
*Activation is $36

I had this same intention. I called Wirefly and they do NOT let you use another line's upgrade for your own (idk why thats what he said). You would have to swap the upgradeable line with yours like others have said. Part of the reason is because their policy is to activate it themselves (I asked them if they could hold off on the activation, the guy said no) so its running by the time it gets in your hands

Now just hoping we do get ours before the 18th but if not, so what, this was a great deal.

This doesn't entirely make sense. If you're upgrading, that would mean your existing device stops functioning when they activate the new one. This is obviously not acceptable. I'm quite confident you actually have to call in and activate it once you receive the device. THEN your old device stops functioning. Now if you're buying a new line of service then it may arrive activated (though past purchases from amazon for tmobile did require activation AFTER receipt of device).
ymmv.
Wirefly has a ad on its front Page saying free activation wheb adding a line or doing a new activation.
Food for thought to make it a even better deal...

T-Mobile to launch Samsung Gear S with bespoke $5 wearable rate plan on Nov. 9

http://www.tmonews.com/2014/10/t-mo...s-with-bespoke-5-wearable-rate-plan-on-nov-9/
I may just have to check this out... $5 a month! Not bad
I called them this morning...
I am already with T-mobile and called them this morning with a load of questions.
Their call centers were briefed on the Gear S just yesterday. As far as they know, the Gear S can not be pre-ordered, as it is considered an accessory. I did register to purchase, though, but did not receive a confirmation of any kind. The call centers are very new to the product and training is still ongoing, so if you reach out, take what they say with a grain of salt.
Even if they don't know all the details just yet, I would rather it is announced with a date as opposed to waiting around another week for their staff to be trained properly
I really want this watch and that rate plan is a good deal. Now the only thing left is the gear vr.

Agreed same thing the other carriers have said about the accessory part but last I checked we are not paying a data plan to listen to our music via bluetooth headphones which are true accessories. This gear S is a mini phone with a mini plan.
T-mobile plan to have it available Nov 9th not sure what the offical launch days are with t-mobile but it doesn't sound like they are Sunday so indeed they don't really care about this launch

Yeah, I went down to the T-Mobile store and asked to get a call as soon as it came in! They look awesome!
I am very interested in buying this thing (two of them actually) wondering if anyone has asked or knows: Will it get it's own number or can they link it to your current number? I just don't think it'll be real useful to txt and call with a diff number than your phone. Also, anybody have any idea if this will work with note 2 (wife still using N2). Thanks!

Yes it works on Samsung galaxy S3 and up. If you have T-mobile/AT&T you can use your number from the phone. You forward your calls when you want to leave the phone at home
Which one are YOU getting...? Black or white?

T-Mo Gear S
Got mine today!
FYI. Not many T-Mobile employees are knowledgeable on the accessory rollouts. (Prepare to know more than them)
I went into a T-mo store today to inquire about the Nov. 9th release, and see if it was possible to get it early. The rep didn't know anything about it, nor did his manager. After some insistence from me, they checked the T-Mo community & confirmed my info, but still didn't know when they would get it. All they said was "we don't get deliveries on Sundays, we'll call you Monday if we get some in". Frustrated, but not defeated, I went home did a little more research, called another T-mo location. Not only did they know what I was talking about, they had it in stock & would sell it to me today. 15 minutes later...Got it!!!
If at first you don't succeed... :good:

Bought it & tied it to the $5 plan. They REALLY tried to get me to go with the $15\mo. plan, almost making it seem mandatory. ($15 plan includes insurance)
"I don't need no stinkin' insurance!!!"

Can you clarify the question asked? Do we need a previous T-Mobile plan? Online it only lets us chose $5 plan if we have already a Simply Choice line with T-Mobile. And only option is $15 a month plan if no T-Mobile. Are you saying if we go to store we can get the $5 plan even without another Simply Choice line?
Just got one from my local tmobile store.

Every T-mobile store here in Milwaukee said they didn't have it. There was one that said they might get a shipment sometime during this week.

I believe I answered the original question quite clearly. I'll give yours a try though...
Disclaimer:
I can only speak of my experience & the questions that I brought up\answers received.
I am already a T-Mobile account holder (Simple Choice Plan). I'd read about the $5/mo. plan online, and when the rep in the store said $15/mo., I was slightly confused. (then came the questions)
The rep seemed confused and was really pushing the $15 plan as if that was the only option, after a lot of back & forth, he admitted that I didn't have to get that plan if buying the watch outright. (I didn't have to get any plan)
They said it's like setting up another line. The watch will even has its own phone number. (more than likely works by "re-routing" calls to your "phone's" number when applicable & vice-versa)
To the best of my knowledge;
If you ARE currently a "T-Mobiler", and you buy it outright, and don't want the "standalone" mobile network features, you don't need to select a plan at all.
If you ARE currently a "T-Mobiler", and you buy it outright, and want the "standalone" mobile network features, you select the $5 plan.(what I did)
If you ARE currently a "T-Mobiler", and you choose the "payment plan" option, you must select the $15 option. (payment plan devices MUST be insured, like the JUMP program)
If you are NOT a "T-Mobiler", and you buy it outright, but want the "standalone" mobile networkfeatures of the watch (not just the "watch -> phone Bluetooth connection" option), you have to get the $15 plan.
**After purchasing the watch, you have up to 14 days to add the "protection plan" to it. ($10/mo I guess)
I can't tell you much about "non" account holder info, as I am a "T-Mobiler".
Hope that helps.
