I flashed this and something odd happened. Right after I installed the kernel it seemed to have wiped all my data. Maybe I did something wrong... It's definetly possible.Anybody else have this issue??

Here is the wipe script, I dont think it could wipe all your data (just deletes all init.d's and all files in "/data/neak":
ui_print("* Wiping init.d folder *");
delete_recursive("/system/etc/init.d");
delete_recursive("/data/neak");
run_program("/sbin/busybox", "mkdir", "/system/etc/init.d");
unmount("/system");

Its no big deal man but I had to reset up my google account and everything and all my apps were gone. Just wondering if I accidentily did a wipe data/ factory reset in habit and didnt realize it or if this kernel wiped it? Thanks!

using on foxhound ROM it is draining battery fast. but it is super fast and very smooth.

Did it wipe your data when you flashed it?

This is running really f#cking great on 4-21 aokp... Holy cow... Much better than even siyah 3.1... Yeee haaaa! Very smooth & noticeably more snappy. Interested to see how battery holds up next day or two.
Using stock kernel settings / no oc or uv, vr & lulz.... Love it!
Thanks ktoonsez for making this happen for us!
Just had a Q: I don't need a special mic swap version of this for aokp do i? Haven't tried making a call as yet...

Ok so then the problem was just me being a dip**** all along... problem solved! Thanks man! I'd click your thanks meter but I'm out for the day! I'll get ya later!

Sorry for the noob question but how do I know which one to flash? I did search but couldnt find an answer. I think I know but not quite sure. Im on Omega v10. Thanks.

AOSP version works fine on the 4-21 build of AOKP. Just tested the call audio, and it's working as normal. Thanks again, Ktoonsez, your releases never seem to disappoint me!

[Kernel][19 Jul][N7100-N7105-I317][2.7] Adam Kernel

I got the idea to build this kernel from Perka thread for GS3, thanks to him.
-This kernel works only for Samsung 4.1.X ROMs-
/!\ Flash it at your own Risk /!\
The main goal of this kernel is to keep it stable and close to stock. It contains a few CPU and Memory optimizations for better balanced performance/battery life (the same tweaks i have on all my Roms), it includes Stweaks, Boeffla Sound, and "init.d" support so you can tweak as you like.
Features:

Switch Android Logger ON/Off trough Stweaks (No Reboot required, Thanks to AndiP for the Sysfs interface).
Tweaked Pegasusq CPU Gov
Enabled Swap
Fbearly suspend delay control trough Stweaks (default=100ms) (Thanks to AndreiLux).
Download.
Important note:
SGH-I317 users can use my N7105 version, Tested by Willl03 and Jrafael (Thanks for the tests).
"Fbearly suspend delay" won't remove Crt Off, it cancels the suspend delay to remove any glitch when Crt Off is disabled

Re: [Kernel][28 Feb][GT-N7100][Samsung Update 8][CRT TV Support] Adam V1.0
Is it complicated to add CRT off support to a kernel? I'm just wondering why only Perseus and your kernel support it.
Also, CRT off only properly works if front buffer suspend delay is set to 200ms. I can set this setting in STweaks when using Perseus. How can I adjust it with your kernel?

It's set to 400ms on my kernel and it's working great for me, try it and let me know if it needs any improvement.
This kernel is close to stock, i didn't add Stweak support nor any other patches.

Actually it's based on Update2 (GT-N7100_JB_Opensource_Update2.zip), i don't know how i got confused with GS3 update numbers , cuz i made also an other one for GS3 based on Update 8.
whats about N7105 LTE Support?
Update 2 sources don't contain the exynos-exploit fixes. I suggest you patch it manually or you compile the Note 2 kernel from the S3 sources.
Also, you need to have a public repository per the rules
Good, I will try it, as I love the dev. I really dislike some xxx numbers of mod, but one mod I greatly like is the LED fade one. Maybe in future.
Best of luck.

Why the need for that GS3 patch ?

Guide to Thread Participation":
Generally speaking, we are a pretty calm group of people, but as with so many other things in life, there are those that evoke a negative response from the very start. THAT is why we are such believers in maintaining a polite, respectful thread. Most everyone here is eager to help, and the only thing we ask is (despite the associated tedium) read the entire thread, it can only help. If and when you are still stuck, feel free to ask questions, we're all here to help one another.

OOOooohhh , i wanted to ask on your n7100 thread if you were coming here
HIHI and thanks for kernel.. Seen rave reviews about it.
Is there any volume enhancer available? Voodoo is a paid only app right?
Cant seem to download the free version.. Play store says it is unavailable for my N7105
Downloaded n running nandroid will report back once flashed.
sent via Hondata FP + NOS
We're happy that you are here. I've been using this kernel, linked from the AT&T forum.
There is a voodoo app download available in my 7100 thread. Will add to this one asap

Just flashed it.
My result with Quadrant and this kernel
Hi,
Thanks for the Kernel. It's a realy good one!
It's realy fast, stable (OC to 1800), liquid smooth.
No problems is stability tests with UV.
Battery life is on par with others (only Perseus gave me better battery life, but with some lag).
The sound is to high in my device, I think it was a lot better in terms os quality and laoudness with bloefa system present in other Kernels.
Charging times are also ok.
If possible, I would like to see the GPU UV table fixed in future releases.
Will stay with this one for some time.
Best regards
Hi,
Me again to report that, after a second charge cycle, I must say that your Kernel just Killed my battery! As I don’t see it draining anymore… No, just kiding, I'm geting a fantastic battery life!!!
So, I must correct my past sentence by saying that, until now, this kernel is at least on par with Perseus, if not even better… And, I’m on 1800 OC and without GPU UV (unable due to wrong values em mv).
Still prefer Boeffla sound and still have wrong values in GPU UV.
Once again thanks for your hard work.
Best regards

I dont think this kernel has exfat support (correct me if i am wrong OP)
so if your sdcard is exfat then it wont work.

Great kernel with Amnospherum Rom
Hi,
Thanks for this great kernel, flashed it this morning and it has been running without any issues.....smooth, zippy and no overheating so far. I flashed it with this new ROM(found it from the AT&T N7105 thread), prefect combination :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2223984
Keep up the good work and hope to get more wonderful kernels from you soon.....

[KERNEL-KK-4.4.2][51xx]SphereKat-Rev5.4[DICONTINUED]

Info & Thanks
What you need to know before you use this kernel.
This kernel got Selinux Permissive state as it supports more apps like TiTaniumbackup.
Reverting back to a Selinux enforced Kernel (stock) is no longer a problem from Rev3.0 and up.
You can set Selinux Status with the included Synapse app
You want to know why this kernel comes with Selinux included, google for Selinux and search your answers.
AllCast mirror will not work as this is a Samsung thing and not opensource.
If this is a problem for you, don't use this kernel.
DISCONTINUED , A NEW THREAD WILL BE OPENED FOR THE NEW KERNEL SUPPORTING ONLY THE KITKAT BOOTLOADER.
NO JELLYBEAN BOOLTOADER SUPPORT, IT IS TIME TO MOVE FORWARD.
INSTALLATION
Take a full nandroid backup.
NO NEED TO BE ON ANY KITKAT BOOTLOADER (your wifi will work with this kernel)
YOU NEED TO BE ON A KITKAT TOUCHWIZ ROM.
Install with cwm
Thanks:
sidmoraes for pointing me to other kernel source that I could use as base, still had to change some stuff but this is better then waiting for samsung to release there source, if they ever will. (Finally Samsung released source)
Andreilux - Faux123 - Yank555.lu for kernel work
ZaneZam for the zzmoove governor

Never install a kernel that is not for your device, it will cause a hard brick.
Stock kernels can be found in the SphereKat folder of your device
The only good app to control this Kernel is the included SYNAPSE appExample of what synapse looks like,THIS IS JUST A EXAMPLE.

S-pen alignment is fixed in the kernel and rom so you need both to have 100% accuracy.
This kernel will fix it for 95%. The other 5% is in the roms framework.
#########################################################
Note to all users:
Don't be a lurker, hit thanks as it took plenty of hours to build this.
Samsung didn't release the kernel source (not yet) so a lot of debugging was needed to fix problems like the sensors not reporting correctly.
This is the only thing I ask, hit thanks if this helps you.
It is free and enjoy it.
#########################################
Edit:
About the lurkers,
Martin from this post isn't one as he is a donator and thanks hitter.
A example to you all.
I wanted that cleared out as I didn't want Martin to take that lurker thing personal.

Flashed and while it seems to be working fine for the most part, my CPU is constantly maxed out for some reason. I changed no settings or anything, and it was idling fine before flashing. I'm sure it might be something with my device, but I thought I'd put it out there just in case it's not. I'm going to mess around with some settings, see what I can do, and see if it changes.

I was indeed using pegasusq. After trying multiple different governors and nothing changing (even stayed at 1600mhz on powersaving), I've decided to wipe my device entirely and start from scratch. No biggie. If I narrow it down to a specific app or device setting that was causing it, I'll post it so people are aware.
09/Jun/2014 First Public release Rev2.2
[*]Memory Leak fix cpu stats
[*]Memory Leak fix Kernel Ext4 & Power
zzmoove profile nr6.
I recommend not to use Powersave governor as is very buggy. Next release will it have removed as it useless.
Best governors are Pegasusq - Adaptive and zzmoove.
I am running it an am happy to report no issues. The only changes I made were to up my top cpu speed to 1.8gzh. All govs are at default. Thanks again. Can't wait to see what is next in the works for this tablet.

No.
I work only with devices, which I have.
Very tempting to try a more recent TW 5.0.0 optimized Kernel since KTOONZES last TW Build is from February and I don't really need to have any OC / UV to begin with as well (sometimes less is more). And even more tempting when I read that it has great RAM Management and battery life (and that I'm flash addicted). Just sounds to good to skip - I think I'll flash it tomorrow to see for myself.
Whats the exact "latest" (as in Version Number) Samsung Kernel Source this is based on?

Important / read before flash mandatory
This is the first stable SimplKernel build which is 5.1.1 based and unified. It only supports 5.1.1 and the listed variants. No other variants.
For W8: Seems that you can run 5.1.1, but no new bootloader. If you run 5.1.1 and this and have fingerprint on your Rom, the second boot won't work anymore and you'll need Odin. A Rom with removed Fingerprint may solve it, but I don't have a W8 and can't test or say for sure. Best is to wait for the new bootloader alltogether.
For all other variants: This should work on L/S/K, if/when they receive 5.1.1, but someone will need to confirm by flashing.
Same counts for I.
If you run 5.1.1 without the new bootloader, you will encounter the same issue described above for the W8. Same counts: Better wait for the new Bootloader.

How to install
You need:
- A 5.1.1 based Rom and a supported variant (stock ROM counts)
- The 5.1.1 Bootloader. No support for problems you encounter without the new Bootloader.
Via recovery
You have to have a custom recovery like TWRP, Philz or CWM installed.
- Download the kernel
- Reboot to recovery
- A backup is always recommended
- Flash the zip file
- You're done! Reboot and enjoy.
Via Flashify
- Make sure that you are rooted.
- Download the zip and extract the boot.img
- Download the free app Flashify (Caution: Free Version only allows 3 flashes per day!)
- Grant Flashify Root permissions.
- In main screen, select Boot image and navigate to the previously extracted boot.img

If you apply Interactive or simplgov in Synapse, ALWAYS enable it for both clusters. Enabling it for only one will cause funny effects, perhaps even a solid chaos, batterydrain and other unpleasant things. You've been warned.

Nice! will test it on my w8! im on XtreStoLite 2.0 Odex without Fingerprint since my bootloader is still 5.0.2
Edit : confirmed second boot working without fingerprint on the rom!
working great on my 925F edge, with 5.1.1 bootloader and XtreStrolite rom <3
I looked at your github. What are the memory killer tweaks? I don't see anything that really seems to correlate to memory killer. Also, how did you disable OOM killer? From what I've seen, OOM is present but does nothing. I'm just asking for my own sanity

Oh, my changelog for this build is as confused as my current state of mind is. OOM is back and enabled in this build, it was disabled prior to building in the configuration.
And looked at the commit history, yes you do seem to be right about missing memory-killer patches.
Sorry, I haven't managed to get all the patches I used to run in yet. Something was blocking boot for all week, thats why 3 governors are still disabled.
Today was my graduation day, it's a bit turbulent.. Published today instead on next Monday/Tuesday since it only lacks some minor patches at the moment

OK, just making sure I'm not going crazy. I've spent months trying to figure Samsung's method of memory management out, my head has nearly exploded more times than I can count. I wouldn't waste your time with OOM or LMK stuff in the kernel. It does nothing. All of the memory management stuff is in the services.jar, and they're changing it in the next update. So the little bit I have figured out will be useless lol. Congrats on graduating too BTW
Does this kernel root also? I use one of the kernels that rooted 5.1.1 automatically and want to know if I will lose root by flashing this. Thanks in advance for any help.

Thanks Yeah, they work in mysterious ways that much is true. Otherwise disabling it should have solved it. Well, it didn't. At least I found a method to get new sourcecode within 15min after the firmware release.. They kind of rolled out the red carpet for me now.

Theoretically, yes. In reality I updated the ramdisk about 5min prior to uploading and couldn't test if it works. But I believe that it does
Thanks, let's flash this baby

Interactive, it's greatly adapted to the clusters and twice as big as the "usual" old Interactive thanks to it. You can also give simplgov a shot, it's basically Interactive with some changes I wanted to try out
Just flashed the kernel lets see how it performs. Currently on the interactive governor. Can you give some insight into your simplgov governor? What does it compare to?
