Hi,
Ive created a simple tool, which tries to find correct
full url of update zip for Sony Tablet S/P.
The process should take from 1s to 7min max.
There are two functions:
get URL+download - by manually typing update zip filename,
get URL+download [AUTOMATICALLY] - of current device firmware.
In order to successfully use auto function you must have proper region matching devices firmware.
Please post results, and very important!

Hi condi, testing is ok, found US update lol.
Can I ask why ST is set to a max of ST004?
As I changed this higher and my updates were in ST006.
I could not find my ICS but oribably not there yet, but did find 0035.002 and 0042.002 in the ST006 folder.
Also noticed that 0035 was in 0005 folder
and 0042 was in 0006 folder
does this mean ICS should be in 0007 folder???
Or is that to logical

ST004 is (I think last) one for Japan region.
About your update - propably it would be in next content dir,
maybe 0007, but if not found, then propably you have wrong filename.

PS. I'm thinking about next version, with new function, which will get current devices update zip, maybe even without root, and no filename needed

Once again ST006.
Same folder as New Zealand therefore http://info.update.sony.net/ST006/nbx03_026/contents/0005/signed-nbx03_026-ota-0035.002.zip is older 0035 aka 3.2 update.

Really stupid question: I used your tool (I live in nz) and got a url and it downloaded signed-nbx03_033-ota-0042.002.zip file.
Here is the stupid question----now what do I do.
My device is unrooted. Will this give me the ICS udate for New Zealand.

Condi, I am truly impressed. the amount of time and effort spent on the tab is definitely worthwhile. why not add this feature into the aio tool? also, is there any further breakthrough with cwm or custom roms?

It finds the URL for current firmware. The one you found is 3.2.1R2 (kernel 10)
This is what I have
ICS will be something like signed-nbx03_033-ota-120510001.zip
Which uses incremental number instead of 0042.002 etc.
Year=12 Month=05 Day=10 001=Incremental
Please note that is NOT correct file name.
ICS is not out for NZ yet, but should be by the end of month, guessing 31.05.12

The feature will be added to AiO, after 31. may. For now I want it to be separate module, easy to use, and get as much of ICS EU update urls as I can Dont know what will future bring to us

That is US ics, if you are allready unrooted ics, then for now, you wont be able to root. That includes downgrading then rooting. You are on tbe waiting list like many others and similar to ne with kernel 10.
That rom is flashable also but for you it will fail as you allready have that version

ROM Factory
What is ROM Factory?
Its a tool that will allow the user to create a picture perfect .img from your boot and system partition. It will then create an update.zip from it.
What is a "Fruit Cake"?
A fruit cake is the finish product, a self contain rom, already ready for installation, already inside an update.zip.
So really what does it do?
It allows a bootloader unlocked user to create a full copy of their boot and system partition. All of it, including mods and changes done to either one of those partitions.
Can this be use for easier rom development?
Yes! Beyond just its normal capabilities! After installing the resources you can modify the script and add things to it in *sdcard* /fcm/workdir! Once you are done adding and changing things in there, press "Create ROM".

I think Sam forgot to mention that this app is CPU intensive so if you get a FC message let the app work ..Sam please correct me if I am wrong ..

I will ask/ check out the main OP but thought i would ask here also. Can it be updated to work with CM7? It said it was an unsupported device.
I was able to get it to do its thing with changing my build.prop but i havent tested out the update.zip it created yet to see if would ACTUALLY work with cm7. If it does work maybe the dev can make a LITTLE change to recognize the galaxys2att in the buildprop also.

this is my flagship app, so im putting lots of effort to get it working 100%, keep an eye out for FCM Extender, it will be a paid app, but will allow for full control of the script. allowing you to further mod, and change the installaiton script. so things like scripts and apps can be installed on the fly.
Still not able to make it work UNLESS I am doing something wrong here. It creates the update.zip that is about 203.63k and when i flash it i get error 6.
On another note if possible is to maybe have it so there is three steps, 1 to load the settings needed, 2 to name it whatever we want to, 3 to create it. I am asking that so when/if you already have a update.zip file on your sdcard you dont get mixed up. I will definetely be following your work as i think it has great potential. Thanks again

you need to get a logcat of the app, and submit it to the bugs section, that way we can work on it together, the update s.zip should be way bigger than 203.63k, it seems to me the program is not creating the imgs neccesarry for the update zip

How to install from another ICS leak (same carrier, model, etc.):
Put the leak on your external SD card.
Fastboot a patched boot.img using the boot.img.p from this leak's /patch/ folder and the boot.img from the latest official version's fastboot files. (See my thread on patching boot images here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=27211509 )
NOTE: If someone posts a reply with a boot.img they patched, you can use that one as well. Only one person has to make one and post it.
Fastboot the system.img and preinstall.img from the latest official version
Boot to recovery and install the newer ICS leak.

Be on STOCK 651.167.3361 for AmericaMovil Mexico. No frozen apps. No custom recoveries, etc.
Install instructions are using ES File Manager and Rom Manager (free) from the Play Store download these and be rooted on 651.167.3361 for AmericaMovil Mexico.
open rom manager free, hit OK, now press the home button.
open es file explorer, press YES, press menu, open settings, scroll down to Path settings and under Root settings: Enable
Up to Root (path settings)
Root Explorer (root settings)
Mount File System (root settings)
"DOWNLOAD THE ICS UPDATE ZIP AND PLACE INTO YOUR PHONES /CACHE DIRECTORY (not /system/cache, but in the root of the phone)"
open ES FILE EXPLORER, locate your /cache directory and then select the Blur_Version.651.167.3361.XT910.AmericaMovil.en.MX.zip
(now choose Open With ROM MANAGER)
phone will restart, and begin installation of the ICS leak (takes 10-15minutes)
phone restarts, boot animation begins, Android is upgrading :: Profit success!! Celebrate!!!

Yup. With a flash of the system.img and preinstall.img from 2.3.6, and flashing the patched boot.img for the new version you can install the new version in Recovery.
I deleted two telcel apps via titanium backup, does this mean I can't install this update?
I also have root, does that mean something?
If yes, is there a way to go back to stock Telcel?
What about if i am already on ICS but the leak for brazil, there is a way to install this leak my carrier is telcel

Please help to root my clone Galaxy Note i9220 Pad, may be call star i9220 or star Pad, I cannot sure what is the model.
I try many root tools SuperOneClick2.3.3, TPSparkyRoot, DooMLoRD_v4_ROOT-zergRush-busybox-su and Moblie Uncle all cannot root the phone.

I've seen the same phone with an android looking like the android 4 version in cm9, but i don't know how/where the person got it.

Hello.
Maybe you guyz don't know me but I deal with sharing links for normal and beta .kdz firmwares for all LG devices since 2009.
Now it very hard since LG has changed links from /swdata/WDLSW/Model/Suffix/V99X_00/V99X_00.kdz to /dn/downloader.dev?fileKey=FWXXXX86573210987654321/V99X_00.kdz
We can't generate manually links for firmware cause this XXXX defines all (model+suffix+kdz version).
It would be great if someone he could crack the code but I'm afraid that this is random I mean every next relased file for any phone have another number.
I have a great automatic script that shows all normal .kdz firmwares links for all phone models but it need very good server cause it uses a lot of data + cpu usage. I also don't know how much time it will work since LG is changing sites links every day.
It's very hard now. Nobody has access to B2B.
I got also email from lg-phone-firmware.com admin that if I will not help him he will be forced to close the page cause he is generating links manually.
About beta firmwares it's almost impossible to download links.
We must convert new file type firmware link to old file type firmware link and do some trick to download it.
All old firmware links are not working now.
Today LG has changed download method of Service Manuals, SIB's etc. Every action need user name and password so if you are not employee you will do nothing. Old method is working today but tomorrow may not work.
I've decided to post it in G2 section cause this phone is new and probably everyone would like to have all the latest and unbranded firmware.
LG may force us to change the firmware to other firmware that is offered by your branding operator will be impossible.
We need to help each other. Everybody is welcomed.
If know anything about php, javascript, etc.you can help me to create site with scripts for "the necessary software" for everyone who has LG mobile ;]
If you can decompile programs, you know reverse engineering mail me on PM or in this topic and I will tell you what you can do to help.
If you have any idea about hosting server (I don't have any job so I don't have a money to pay for good server) post it.
Everyone is obliged to comment on the sharing of ideas ;]

looking at the way this is done, I would agree that this is random. however I feel this is going to change again soon. probably to include all the static numbers in the randomisation. your best bet is to try to get behind the site and see the actual database, which isn't going to happen

RW firmware is other than FW ;]
If you have all FW links for 1 model you should sort it by relase date. Only 1st number is changing for example FW3 than FW6 than FW9 and whe have 3 firmwares with same name for same model relased in same time. So I think it just each successively released firmware gets sequence number.

try inserting your fancy links into JDownloader to pass trough the encryption and permission problems... I have been amazed by that software a few times so far

It is easy to grab the download link of the .kdz file even without IMEI, but it seems that i can only get the model kdz file for those support web upgrade. Those firmware pushed via OTA like the LG E970 can not download after LG BLOCK THE B2B ACCESS

1) Place phone in download mode.
2) Open Odin (I tested using 3.04 and 3.07)
3) Extract tar.md5 file and select in PDA slot.

You can download it by clicking here.
During testing SuperSU did not pick up that it stuck properly initially.
After KNOX started throwing the warnings it finally settled in. So you may need to play with it to get it to work.
This will likely be the case until an official Lollipop build is released so again, you're warned in advance.
Other Notes:
I cannot stress this enough - these sources took a very significant risk in providing this to the public and helping verify it.
And while we're thankful for it, this is the only 5.0 leak I will post prior to an official release.

You could get all the tools to extract these from the system.img even on Windows. simg2img is available in a jar executable, 7-zip and DiskInternals Linux Reader to open/pull the files.

Sadly no, and word via sources is that Samsung is clamping down security. The attention this will attract will probably only tighten that grip.
My guess is the rom would work but you would have no data, modems are different.

There are some other h/w differences as we learned during CM bringup.
The ROM itself could probably run on other variants but would have dialer and a few other issues.
Someone may find a way to bring it to the other devices. Where there's a will, there's a way.
