How To Use Multiboot:
With v1.6 of DM Kernel for ICS, I introduce multiboot feature.
It is similar to the nandroid backup and restore function, but with a new menu and everything is done automatically
The menu is as follows:
Activate ROM
Backup ROM
Delete ROM
Inside each of this option we have 6 ROMs.
The steps to use Multiboot are as follows:
Install any ROM via the Install via Zip option. (Flash DM Kernel v1.9+)
Backup your ROM at any position as per your wish.
Install another ROM again via the Install via Zip option. (again flash DMv1.9+ and Up)
Backup that ROM at any position as per your wish.
Switch between ROM's using the Activate ROM option ( Backup your ROM each time before switching to another ROM)
Also I will try and automate more features.

How To Switch Between Auto Brightness and Compass on AOSP ROM's:
Thanks to myfluxi, we now have support for Auto Brightness and Compass Mode on AOSP Rom's similar to xxfluxi kernel.
Steps to follow:
1) Download the Sensors.zip file from attachments.
2) Extract the files on sdcard.
3) If you want to have Auto-Brightness, then rename sensors.exynos4.so.os to sensors.exynos4.so
4) If you want to have Compass, then rename sensors.exynos4.so.prop to sensors.exynos4.so
5) Remember, you cannot have both
6) Copy that sensors.exynos4.so file to /system/lib/hw/ and reboot your phone.

i wiped cache and dlvk, i used cleaning script, i even reflashed the ROM.
i switched back to Siyah and everything went back normally.
i hope we can see a fix because i really love your work m8

flashing on stock LPF
Like SIO @ def
After 4 hour No issues. Fast and stable with smartass V2 200 - 1000
is possible to ad in the custom recovery something to change Scaling and Scheduler without using 3rd party app?

wifi problems
Just flashed it on the Foxhound LPF and first thing I can report are the wifi issues.
It is not connecting to my wireless router WRT320N. It is connecting to an Asus 520WL.
Tried it several times, including re-entering the key, but wont connect to it. It doesnt reports any error, it just says Saved and nothing else happens.

Well, thats what happened, using siyah with miui I get no issues, but switching to DK my keyboard acts funny.
Thanks anyway m8

I stayed with smartass2 for a while now on MIUI and Wildmonks Kernel. This kernel lacks that smartass2 govenor, so i am using the tweaked ondemand one. I must say it is smoother and i didn't have any issues so far. Battery drain is ABOUT the same - cannot really give any definite opinions cuz i used it for only hours now.
But i'll report back. Try the ondemand one - its good so far.
How install it? Should i put the zip on the SD card and install it in the bootloader?
Add SmartAssV2 governor please.

This seems to break my wifi. After flashing, everything seems okay but wifi just says 'error' when I try to turn it on. Anyone else have this?
I am on CM7 newest nightly
Come to think about it, ever since I flashed one of his previous builds, every time I try to flash a diff kernel I get this problem. Think I had this problem with one of IR's kernels...

Features of v5:
Recovery keys remapped
Two way call recording (FreeXperia)
Features of v4:
Added 1.6GHz Overclock
Features of v3:
Forked newest FXP kernel.
Disconnected ALS in kernel - read below.
Enabled some governors that were not already enabled.
SEMC kernel update
About the ALS being disconnected, here I explain:
In v2 of the kernel, I had produced a script inside the kernel and an app that ran the script, and basically what this did was check if `cat /sys/devices/i2c-0/0-0040/leds/lcd-backlight/als/enable` was equal to 1, if it was, it changed it back to zero. The problem with this is that it used CPU cycles and impacted on battery, as well as caused flickering.
In v3 onwards, I have done this: https://github.com/keiranFTW/semc-k...mmit/6f252f86b862c9483bc900a8c1bef73f88f8192c
Atarii mentioned for me to do it, and so I did, and what it does is tell the kernel that the ambient light sensor is not attached, and therefore it cannot dictate the screen brightness, so you could say it is physically turned off.
Sources are at github: https://github.com/keiranFTW/semc-kernel-msm7x30-ics-1
and FXP source: https://github.com/freexperia/semc-kernel-msm7x30-ics/tree/ics-beta

[ XNeo ICS v2.1.431 ] ICS 4.0.4 NEW

### LOST & FOUND ###
[ XNeo ICS v1.1 Repack ] ICS based rom
[ XNeo AOKP v1.1 ] AOKP ROM
NOTE: [For stock ICS ONLY] If you come from other kernel, please flash this modules using cwm
Updates
// XNeo ICS v2.0 - 4.1.H.0.4 source, patches: ZRAM, smartassv2
// XNeo ICS v1.1 Repack - re-added Intellidemand. swap/ext4 support. tun.ko module in /res/modules
// AOKP v1.1 - added Intellidemand gov (dont use with IO vr, caused reboot when screen off)
Intellidemand:
Intellidemand aka Intelligent Ondemand from Faux is yet another governor that's based on ondemand. Unlike what some users believe, this governor is not the replacement for OC Daemon (Having different governors for sleep and awake). The original intellidemand behaves differently according to GPU usage. When GPU is really busy (gaming, maps, benchmarking, etc) intellidemand behaves like ondemand. When GPU is 'idling' (or moderately busy), intellidemand limits max frequency to a step depending on frequencies available in your device/kernel for saving battery. This is called browsing mode. We can see some 'traces' of interactive governor here. Frequency scale-up decision is made based on idling time of CPU. Lower idling time (<20%) causes CPU to scale-up from current frequency. Frequency scale-down happens at steps=5% of max frequency. (This parameter is tunable only in conservative, among the popular governors)
To sum up, this is an intelligent ondemand that enters browsing mode to limit max frequency when GPU is idling, and (exits browsing mode) behaves like ondemand when GPU is busy; to deliver performance for gaming and such. Intellidemand does not jump to highest frequency when screen is off.

echo $((50*1024*1024)) > /sys/block/zram0/disksize
mkswap /dev/block/zram0
swapon /dev/block/zram0
4. close and save it as 60ZRAM
5. set permission to 777 or "rwxrwxrwx" (tick all)
6. take note: 50*1024*1024 = 50MB zram disksize. if you want to set 30MB, change 50 to 30.

asked that question on the topic AOKP Neo / v was wondering if your kernel has support for USB on the go, external memory, such as pen drive. Tested with mouse and pen drive worked but I can not seem to have the appropriate drivers. From what I saw in some threads here at XDA need these drivers.
I did the flash, I'm using the AOKP kormatoes, and so far everything is normal.

Slow charging in the end is because of simultaneous video recording and GPS logging (will get even worse now because I added automatic bluetooth enabling ).

This kernel wouldn't exist without the hard work of FXP. This is built from his source code. All real credit for this belongs with him (and DoomLord too, also an FXP Team member)
That said, this is my take and keeps the rather awesome release that is CM7.2 alive!
To be clear: This is a kernel for Cyanogen Mod 7.2 - Gingerbread! If you want a good ICS Kernel look at Sirkay's Thread.
So, what's different?
Uses a very recent GCC to compile, GCC version 4.6.3 which I optimised the build for Cortex-a8 and NEON.
Is compiled for performance not size (Optimize for size unticked)
Heap Randomisation is disabled.
Enabled SWAP - So you can use swap if you want to...
Default Scheduler changed to deadline, same as the Sony official kernel (still has bfq if you want to use it)
Default governor changed to ondemand.
CONFIG_OABI_COMPAT turned off. (This might break apps, haven't found any yet though)
Disabled CPUFreq Debugging.
Disabled FRAME_POINTERS, enabled STACK_UNWIND. Reason here: http://lists.openmoko.org/nabble.html#nabble-td6126708
There is no boot logo when this kernel boots. Each time I added one, the kernel refused to boot. I'll look at that. Just have patience, your phone is booting still...
(Here's where I make lots of stupid claims about how smooth, how buttery, how much battery life this kernel saves. Except I'm not a screaming idiot, so I'm not going to do that!)
I'm interested in any feedback you have, but I did this mostly for me.
And please remember the real person to thank, FXP. It's his source code I've used to build this. Also again thanks to Sirkay for his help and pointers.
Download it from here.

About the same as every other kernel.
OTG support? ?!
Sent from my ST18i
so good, This is what I looking for
@muppetmania attach here you png file. i can try to convert it to .rle for you
Could GB MIUI have the privilege?
Could we have a CM7 based MIUI 2.3.7 kernel?
I think GB MIUI works just fine and don't want to upgrade to ICS or JB.
But a better kernel for GB MIUI is always appreciated.
Thanks in advance, pls let us know if you'd be willing to.

If you'd like me to respond to questions, please post an actual articulate question in the first place. Cheers.
Yes, I'm aware I'm a ****, it's been pointed out to me already

Thanks sirkay, but the problem isn't that I can't make a rle file, it's that the rle file when added to the ramdisk stops the kernel booting. It seems to a bug in the SEMC loader, I found a post about it somewhere. Does the boot.img need to be padded out to a certain size to work?
Sometimes my logo.rle would work, but then I'd make changes, recompile, and the kernel would hang on boot. Annoying, so I've removed it for the moment.

Hi rivtre,
I'd love to help, but my Ray is the only phone I have and is running CM7.2. While I could make a kernel for MIUI I'd have no (easy) way to test it. It wouldn't be fair to anyone if I started releasing untested things. So I'm sorry, it's not that I don't want to help, but no. Anyway, read the next bit to see why that's probably not a bad thing!
To All:
My kernel seems to be terrible when it comes to HD video recording. Can anyone else test this? I get heaps of dropped frames using my kernel when recording HD video vs a FXP Stock kernel. I need to look more at this, but for the moment I'd recommend not using this kernel!
v2 Released!
Version 2 of muppet kernel released.
What's new?
Compiled with GCC 4.7.1
Reverted to BFQ Scheduler by default
Reverted to Interactive CPU Scaling by default
Added logo.rle so you know it's booting!
Removed Debugging Symbols (CONFIG_KALLSYMS)
Reverted the scheduler and CPU scaling as they seemed to be the cause of the video recording lag.
Enjoy!

does the kernel also work with this rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1424121?
can I flqsh the kernel with flashtool?
is overclocking possible?

Not sure if it works with the stock ROM or not - try it and report back.
Yes, like all kernel images, you can flash it with Flashtool.
You can OC up to 1.6Ghz.
I tried it, but It doesn't work. Booting failed

Just flashed your kernel, going to give a test run! thanks!!
Edit:
Well it doesn't seem to me that the camera recording works at all ... pictures = fine - but when trying to record video - the image freezes - and the camera app crashes.
I have to reboot to get back into the camera app...
Also, can't play any video I previously recorded...
Anything I'm missing?
I've flashed your kernel and did a cache + dalvik wipe...
Cheers!

Oh, well that's not the sort of feedback I wanted!
I haven't done much video recording the last couple of weeks (I've been away from work)
Let me do some testing and see what I can find...
Thanks for reporting
If you want a logcat I'll make one and get it to you , cheers

Exfat support for sdcards now works out of the box with CyanogenMod version 2-4-15 and later.
So I flashed this last night when I saw you posted it recently and this morning I checked it and it had zero battery drain overnight, very nice. Can't wait to dig in a little deeper when I get time. Between this and the new CM12, 2015 is really shaping up to be a good year for the old (but great) v510, finally, thank you.
Sleekmason:
I should be able to use the same sleektweaks and zipalign stuff from the Lollipop kernel, correct?
Thanks

Yep! The latest 88sleektweaks has voltage control table as well ( already adjusted down a bit to the settings I use). These can be changed here but be careful! TricksterMod is useful for making the initial changes to test as they won't get restored on boot. If you change them in the file and something goes wrong, you will have to remove the file using twrp.

Just tried it with CM12 and it's a super V510 combo! Feels fast and smooth! Thanks for your XDA development & contribution.
UPDATED 2-12-15
Added Row IO Scheduler and Sound control - Change using trickster or in settings for row, and in trickster for sound control. Also added upstream fixes.
Is Row better than cfq? I think maybe it is . . . Battery will be the deciding factor for me. If anybody wants Row default for this kernel, let me know and I will implement it on next version. Regards,
I'll give it a go tomorrow, currently I've tweeked to Ondemand and ReadAhead to 512. Cool

Are you finding On-demand better than Interactive? Seems like interactive is smoother to me. Also, keep in mind that the larger the read ahead the more battery is used.

Not much difference maybe slightly faster but still analyzing with the new rom update...
BTW, did you see my post cm12 rom about GPS? Maybe you can take a look...
Row is working very good & smooth so far (speed, smooth & stable are my priorities and then battery). Think I'll stay with it; up to you if u want it as default.

Those who speak up get to choose! Row it is! Will update including row as default next compile.
Great kernel guide thread for those of us who like to mod & test settings in Sleek's Cool kernels!
