My dsp manager on Cm7 kept crashing found this on the net. (CM7 UNIVERSAL)

Permissions should be rw-r-r, correct? I did not check what they were before replacing "stock" dsp on CM7. It seems to be working fine using rw-r-r so I assume that's correct.

Yes, rw for the first row (top to bottom) r for second row and r for third. Worked for me. But for some reason when I rebooted and looked in my manage all apps, couldnt find the old DSP. No matter though cuz I went straight to testing and it worked. Must have really had something to do with rewriting the permissions. Thanks again man like I said in CM7 thread, good find and work around! RC1 was having the horrible crashes with DSP and with this work around it stopped. I now think this ROM should be listed as stable lol.

Thanks for posting this! I have replaced this DSP manager with the one that in the CM7 flash file so whenever I need to reflash it will work.

I'm still having issues with DSP crashing. It crashes on start-up even after the new DSP apk is copy and pasted into the system/app folder. Stock DSP is deleted.

I got the link to this from another thread last night, installed no problem. My Market was FUBAR for the past month. I'm absolutely giddy - finally able to update my apps. Works great.
DInc with CyanogenMod 6.1 & Invisiblek #28 kernel.
cofirmed to be working on Gingerbread builts,
try this if ur on stock or froyo builts
1)Backup ur vending.apk
2)Use root explorer mount system as r/w and move the downloaded vending-1.apk and give permissions as rw-r--r-- also delete your original vending.apk
3)reboot
I havent tested it as i'm running SonyBreadv4, can anybody confirm if the above tweak works?

Work in Froyo CM6.1 by slade87.
Thank.
Ok, this is cool but how do we update apps? In the new Market, I click 'menu' -> 'my apps". When an app is available for update, it lists it. However when I click the app, I only see buttons for 'open' and 'uninstall'.
So how do we update our apps? This is not intuitive... (btw, i'm running cm7)
----
Edit: Looks like Google has since fixed this
Also comes with a new widget that shows and scrolls the show cased apps.
Just needs some tuning in the colors used and it's great
In CyanoComb 1.3 is working fine
Tryed like 5 times give up not working for me on cm6.1
im running cyanocomb 1.3 i cant install it

System Font

Does anybody know where I can find fonts to flash or use through root?
Best way to do it is find the .zip file of the fonts you want and extract the .tff files from it and use an app called fontchanger from the market. Requires a reboot afterwards but works like a charm. I don't believe anyone has started making flashable zips for the 3d yet.

Or you can get absolute root tools from the market and it does all that for u...just find the the font, install and reboot..its that easy lol

yeah i used font changer myself one time, and Tiff sent me a message (which i read too late) and told me not to use the "REEBOT WHEN DONE" cause yur phone will just hang when it does try to reboot......most people say to just reboot manually....i thought i bricked my friggen phone when i chose the reboot option LOL.....but when i rebooted manually it did work perfect.....i think i got the font from devinart...just extracted the zip....woot!!!!
Ok, thanks. I'll try that.

Just my $0.02. I really likes the Evervolv font from the Absurd ROM but wanted to use deck's ROM so, using ES File Manager in root mode (with the system mounted as writable) I extracted the font directory (/system/font) from the Absurd ROM's zip file, copied it, went into the system directory of my phone, checked what the permissions were for the font directory, deleted the font directory on the ROM that was on my phone (deck's ROM), and then simply pasted the Absurd font directory in its place. From there, I just went into the new font directory's properties and made sure the permissions matched the permissions of the directory I had just deleted.
With that said, that worked for my specific situation only because I already found a font style that I liked from a ROM which was based off of the same build that i was already using. Just my $0.02

Updated 29/01/12 (now it uses SPU-15 code)
It's not fully my work - it's just port with some tweaks from Arctic 3.0.
Fully worked on SPU-12. Should work on SPU-9/11/15.
Do not instal to ICS! It's only for Gingerbread!
How-to install:
1. Download View attachment NotifBar_Toggles_v2_b01291207.zip to your SD Card
2. Reboot into ClockworkMod Recovery
3. Select "install zip from sdcard" > "choose zip from sdcard"
4. Choose NotifBar_Toggles_v2_b01291207.zip
4.1. If your ROM deodexed then go to advanced > Wipe Dalvik Cache
5. Enjoy!
Don't forget to do a nandroid backup before installing!

If you made the nandroid back up it recommend, then hopefully you can restore from that? Or perhaps you can get the SystemUI.apk from someone with a compatible ROM or pull it from a Official ROM. Its in the "system\app\" folder.
If you guys are using this on odexed stock ROMs, you need to remove or rename systemUI.odex from /system/app to get it to work.

This might not work properly on TW based ROMS. You will need to delete the stock TW music player and the libs associated with the app.

1)Any File Manager app like Root Explorer/Browser,Es-file explorer installed with root access (Do ensure to Mount as R/W (Read/Write)).
2)Find the File which you have copied to the appropriate Folder for which you have to set Permissions with the above installed file manager app.
3) Long press on the file to open a pop up menu as shown in first screenshot
4)Set Permission accordingly (second screenshot)
5) Do this for all 3 apk's and both lib's
6) Then reboot your phone for the Permissions to take effect.
