[Q] NexusHD2.ICS.CM9.HWA.V2.4 boot animation do not stop - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
i installed NexusHD2.ICS.CM9.HWA.V2.4 it worked fine. but at the first reboot it never ever came out of the boot animation, wich is great.
i made task 27 repatitinated to 200 10 reinstalled.......
first it always came up. then after reboot i got a neverending animation.
now i went back to V 1.6, which i had before. this works fine.
Is this an issue of the version?
unfortunately i can not dirctly post to the developer threat. i have allready found some simmular questions, but where not abele to find the answers.

Sorry for posting that in the wrong forum. but not beeing allowed to write in the right develporforung until you write 10 time nonsense does it not make better.

Hello,
I install mine last night and have no issues. Did you partition the SD card before you flash it??? Here is a video link that gives steps for the install. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gEq_e1QDK0g

[Q] Help a Newbie

Hi...
I've been trying to run Froyo on my HTC HD2 (UK Provider - O2) and ran into problems.
I followed the instructions.
I updated the HSPL to 2.08 on my phone
I switched off the backlight as advised
But - when I started the install, it freezes after a few lines and the phone gets stuck on a black screen so I need to remove the battery to boot again.
Its been suggested that I need to flash the custom ROM and upgrade the Radio. No idea how to do this so....
Any chance of some step by step instructions from the experts and also what to expect. Will it wipe my contacts list etc?
I know its a pain but greatly appreciated.
Many thanks.
Quick Suggestion
Just an idea dude, read the sticky's before posting....

Someone else has probably had the same issue, or similar. Have a THOROUGH search in the Q&A Forum then ask the question. Keeps things tidy that way

NT 8GB bricked?

It posts, So I can get to the early stages of recovery but it's CWM 6.x and it looks corrupted to say the least.
And there isn't a installed android on it right now, since I tried wiping it. I think there was a error in block 4.
Anybody got any help for me?

Ubuntu Touch for EVO 3D CDMA

Hello guyz,
I followed the guide form here, after 3 days of struggle finally it generated cm-10.1-20130802-UNOFFICIAL-shooter.zip file in the output directory. And then I flashed it to my evo but it just switching off a few seconds after htc logo.
I have uploaded zipped file which consists of all the files generated in this process, if any person have any idea on how to fix it please help me.
Download from here
Edit: Today I have flashed along with pre-compiled raring-preinstalled-phablet-armhf.zip, now the device is not switching off but stays at black screen with LEDs on.
should this be here as it's not complete..

I felt same as you while posting this thread, but as porting of ROMs comes under development category I opened up a new thread under development forum. I think any ROM which works or not should be under development forum to get help from devs to get issues fixed.
If any moderator feel that it is inappropriate to post this thread here, please kindly move it to the correct location.
Thank you.
There is no bootanimation for Ubuntu. It boots the splash screen, then it goes to a black screen for awhile on my N7. The black screen is the boot animation screen more or less. And it depends on what build you try. One day it boots, the other day it jumps me back to the multirom screen. I'm sure it would infinitely reboot if I wasn't multirom-ing. I'm dual booting using THIS method, therefor it doesn't wipe everything and I can bounce back to a more stable android. Ubuntu will be kick ass when it hits hard. I can already see a bunch of benefits.
If we wait for more time does it display any UI? What might preventing the device from successful boot? Did it ever made to its desktop?
BTW thank you for your link, I'll try to dual-boot along with android.

Not sure for this phone, try it? The N7 booted up. My phones hanging on to it's last breath, I'm not gonna push it anymore then I have too. Ubuntu runs off the normal android kernel, not an Ubuntu version. So I'd say kernel would have a lot to do with it working or not. The .img files they have are bootloaders, so that may be an issue. Although the ubuntu boot img isn't needed, the android one works. The version I got to work was the "saucy" July 27th or 28th build, haven't tried anything after that. That specified dual boot only works for some Nexus devices. Can't remember how long it took to boot, I'd assume as long as any normal initial boot of a rom. I would go to another forum where it has been ported, and ask/read hard there. Good luck.

Redmi Note 3 Pro will not boot - A newbie in need of a couple answers

Hello everyone! First of all thanks for reading through my post, I'm quite the newbie to this Android stuff so please bear with me.
So I ordered the Note 3 Pro online, and it arrived yesterday. I was very happy about the device, but not even a whole day went by and as I did a simple google search (maybe it was running an update on the background?) my phone crashed. It rebooted on it's own and ever since it just keeps getting stuck in the MI logo.
Sometimes the phone loads a bar and reboots without loading the whole way through. This morning it actually loaded all the way once. It made it into my initial screen but immediately rebooted.
Since then I have found that this is apparently a common issue. I was surprised to find that I couldn't go into recovery mode (just..why?) and that I would have to flash my phone. If someone would kindly answer them, I would love to ask just a few questions about this.
1) Is flashing the only/best approach to fixing this issue?
2) What tutorial do you guys recommend? Should I flash it with the locked bootloader, or should I try to get the official bootloader unlock thing from MI? I'm just looking for the most efficient way of getting my phone back, as I'm not one to fiddle that much with different ROMs and stuff.
As you can imagine having this issue on day 1 is a little exhasperating, and as a new comer to all this stuff, it's all abit overwhelming.
Thanks in advance for your time :highfive:
Flash the original MIUI ROM via EDL. It's described a 100 times here. If the problem persist it's hardware related

Galaxy A31 TWRP/Bootloop?/relock bootloader HELP

I followed a youtube video showing me how to unlock my bootloader and i did it successfully. Then I proceeded to follow another video on how to install TWRP recovery using odin which odin said was successful. then i tried to boot into twrp but the phone never allowed me to even though I was pressing the right buttons it just kept turning on and off which i think is a bootloop. Then I tried to relock the bootloader from the download mode screen, it takes me to a screen and now its just stuck. When ever i try to cancel and restart phone it just takes me back to the previous screen
