Google Now - Sprint HTC EVO 4G LTE

Has anyone tried Google Now on Evo 4G LTE yet?
If so, can you please provide some feedback and which rom did you use it with.
Thanks in advance.

I would edit & detail the thread title to be as specific as the post.
Followed the instructions to get Google Now & Voice working somewhat.
It's great, be sure to detail your settings & the cards will begin to show up over time.
Some edits to location based cards might be needed.
Using Flex360's 1.75 Rom.

Google Now is only on Jelly Bean. The ELTE does not have Jelly Bean yet, but it should arrive soon considering the S4 GS3 variants are officially supported. Once a CM team member gets their hands on an ELTE or a dev gets it running we'll be able to try it.

It seems to be working okay for me, too. The Weather card is nice, and I do like the Traffic cards that pop up for your commute that show you traffic. I haven't really used Voice Search that much, but the few times I did, it seemed to work.
It does work better on my OG EVO, though, because that's actually running Jelly Bean .

[Q] Questoin about Jelly Bean ROM's

Are there any Jelly Bean 4.1.2 ROM's that have roam only. I have searched extensively and had no luck, what am I missing?
The devs are busy enough tring to get the mobile network with sprint working well right now so I don't think there are going to be roaming options for a while. Why do you want roaming so bad anyways is sprints network slow were you are?

Roam control app ftw? A new version is out on the devs website
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda premium
Roam control apps do not seem to work on my phone, they only crash the ROM's. Service in the areas I work has been terrible for the last several months, roam only allows me to have a stable connection, even if it's slower. I miss my Evo 4G some times... At least the option for roam only always worked in the ROM's on that phone. I am using a Galaxy SII Epic 4G Touch now, and roam only never works on it at all.

That was good help!
I greatly appreciate the help! Wish I would have had it before I switched phones. Now I have to figure out how to force Roming on my Galaxy SII Epic 4G Touch.

[Mod] Working AutoCorrect and Quicker Long-Press Samsung Keyboard (4.1.1)

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2093588
Someone asked for this in QA forum and I ported the changes for them.
It is flashable, but like anything its at your own risk. I have only tested it on Verizon roms.
Edit:
If this doesn't work for odexed folks, let me know.
I've also added a stock zip to return to unmodified state.
There is an apk for 4.1.2 users (ATT, International, CleanRom) as well, but it isn't flashable and I don't have the lib needed to make it flashable. So copy it over and fix permissions. Do NOT throw it into the flashable zip unless you have the right lib as well.
First
Thanks adrynalyne. Giving it a flash now. This will solve all of my keyboard needs, no more AOSP keyboard!

Do you mind if I include this mod in my themes?

No, I don't mind at all (not really my mod, I just ported it). I am going to work on a 4.1.2 version for cleanrom and international roms if I get a chance.
I used alot of your tutorials for modding my bolt back in the day....the one thing i am REALLY missing on this phone, you had a way to add the radio settings (4g on, off 3g only etc...) into the main settings. Can u make a mod like that for this phone??
I hate that there isnt that option....or is there and im just a dumbass??
none of the 3rd party apps for that work on verizon?!?
Will this work on rooted stock if I push the files manually and rename the IME odex file?

I don't see how. Its fairly straightforward.
Here is a 4.1.2 version (International, ATT, cleanrom, etc).
It may implode.
Try it though and logcat it if it blows up. No logcat means its unlikely I can or will fix it...I am just too stubborn and old to flash every rom myself.
The auto correct works in on beans build 6. Awesome I will definitely be using the Samsung keyboard!

Google S4 ROM for Verizon S4

I've been waiting for Google to release the phone and it has finally happened. Once Google releases the code will this improve the stock ROMs put out by the developer community? Will it even be used to build those ROMs?
I'm not a developer so I was wondering if it would happen. Thanks guys!

There is already a ROM for the T-Mobile one that someone made from the system dump. So I'm assuming that we should get a ROM very soon
Awesome that's good news, I heard the lag is significantly decreased on stock, can't wait!

Don't post here very much because I've been mostly on an iPhone the past year, but just got my S4 today, and im super juiced to see a rom develop from the Google Editions! Hopefully the stuff that doesnt work on the aosp roms will be functional.
There was a thread on someone testing this ROM. Now I can't find it, does anyone know where it is?

One person over there asked whether it is 4.3 but no one answered that. Not sure if it is just the 4.2.2

Hi,
intresting, I have heard that Google Jelly bean 4.3 is here with S4 google edition, it is specifically aimed only at developers and is only with the Samsung Galaxy S4 Google Play Edition (GT-I9505G) compatible
Unless someone did something special within the last few hours 4.3 is not working for vzw currently.
And cannot be rooted currently.

HTC Media Link + Google Play Edition

I already posted this in the HTC One general, but I figured it was good info here too
So it seems that the Google Play Edition HTC One has moved away from sense framework completely and I should give up hopes of my Media Link HD ever working with my device again.
Anyone else out there with a media link that is now unusable due to not being on a sense rom?
I'm not too upset because #chromecast
I'll probably just sell it on ebay for $50
i guess this means that sense camera they got working on the GPE rom is worthless now too?

Yes it is. 4.3 is almost AOSP like which is great. Always wanted a stock experience that is not buggy and the GPE roms give that experience for me. With the IR working now, I'm all set.

I agree, the 4.3 GPE is amazing
Literally my only gripe with GPE is the toggles, there just aren't enough and I don't like how you have to hold them down to change them, kind of counterintuitive

As long as it's still on your wifi network, it should still work with Bubble uPNP and similar apps. So it's not *completely* useless. Although I'm still on AT&T stock (but unlocked and S-Off), I went ahead and bought a Chromecast too and expect my MediaLink HD will get little use.

Any sense based ROM, where Voip calls are working?

Hello,
I am looking for a rom, where Voip calls are working.
I have the latest firmware.
I have NusenseSix rom and voip calls dont work.
Thanks in advance. ))
The "stock sense software" has supported voip on the DNA since 4.1.1 onward.
*Custom Roms including anything ported may vary in support.

Read his post. Anything not ported and using the DNA software base will have voip working. Anything using ported software (M7 base for example) most likely will not have it functional. Nusense usually goes off m7 base.

As I know, HTC DNA does not have htc sense support and everything here is ported, so I can't find original one. I will do a search now and flash one, which is as close to original as possible and will report here.
Thanks.

I have CyanogenMod 12.0 at the moment and voip works, but bluetooth does not. It is a bigger issue. I will give a shot to some sense based roms, which are closest to stock and if woip fails will find something like you suggested.
Thanks.
