It's not an LCD screen -- and if anything it looks over saturated not dull.

yes u are right

when is iPhone 5 coming?

What video player are you using? Are you using the stock player? If so the stock player has its own brightness control. While a video is playing press menu then select settings, there is a video brightness setting.

After reading the comments was about to suggest this. You beat me to it. Hope it helps the OP.
Anyway, why anyone would use anything other than mx video player is beyond me.

Colors are over saturated

Is there any app that can adjust the saturation
of the colors and the sharpness of the screen?

They aren't overly great, would be better to customise it but it's fine for now. You can tell there is more potential after trying the different modes though. I agree with most saying something between standard and natural likely would be better...

I can tell you:
Natural and movie are way too washed out, allmost sepia like......dynamic is way too oversaturated/oversharpened, standard is still oversaturated but looks best to me, but there isnt perfect mode for now

100% agree.
Standard is the best even though it still slightly saturate.
Natural is not natural, it is too dull.
Movie - what the point of this mod, better us black and white phone.
Dynamic like S II time color, way way too saturate.

Press is very nice, but the article UI is very choppy. Also, it needs better in-app article expansion.

Question about CM 10.1 Camera

Is it true that the camera on CM 10.1 produces lower quality pictures than stock Touchwiz?
And if yes, is there a camera MOD I can flash that retains the quality of touchwiz?
Thanks for the help.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2
In low light, Touchwiz is better. You can't have the touchwiz camera on CM roms.
Ahh. So there IS a difference. Yeah, I can barely take a picture of my hallway which is lit by an open bathroom light behind me. Thanks bro. But one more question, are there MODS out there that give better camera quality? Because I've searched a bit, and I've seen some that give function, but not quality. Any suggestions? :/

i don't think they work as perfect as stock samsung camera but they are better than stock CM camera.
I use aosp camera. Its based on cm but a bit better. Not sure that its better than cm in quality cause I've never used stock cm.
But none are as good as touchwiz. Its all to do with samsung being shady with the sources
Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2
Ohh okay. Thanks for the help.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2
Hahaha shady with the sources. Okay, okay. I'm gonna try it out. Thanks for the feedback guys.
Oh one more question, I do plan to flash the aosp camera mod thing. Do I have to delete anything before I do that? Or do I just flash it and it works.
And what happens to my old camera app here? Will I have two camera apps after flashing the aosp camera mod? Thanks again.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2
no need to delete anything. just boot into CWM recovery and flash the zip. and for being safe side wipe cache after flashing. doesn't replace.

I wipe which cache? AFTER or before? Sorry, I'm new to this whole thing. So I'll have two camera apps?

after the flashing wipe cache. yeah you may have 2 camera apps.
So when apps use my camera, which one will they use?
Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2
This one us actually compiled into gallery. I can't see you having 2 left over. If you do, generally they will both force close anyway
Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2
Soooo.....what do I do? Do I just flash it and boom its there and I have no more problems?

Yes

Oh. Cool. Simple answer, that's what I'm looking for hahaha. Thanks bro

In CM10.1 you can change JPeg encoding quality (better quality, less compression and data loss)
maybe the auto ISO is less reactive than touchwizz

I was thinking...since the display is the biggest power hog, is it possible to set brightness even lower the defautl lowest one?
When using phone at night sometimes I feel its still too bright even on lowest level...

looks like that app you mentioned is just creating dark effect by applying overlay filter...without actually reducing the screen brightness XD
