Lockscreen weather and notifications - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I've been looking round for a bit, ever since I got my nexus 7, for something with a nice clean interface, where I can view all my notifications, the weather, the time and maybe some other things, but i've not found anything that suits my needs.
Android has a beautiful lockscreen and, especially on tablets, has quite a bit of spare room. I realise that lockscreen notifications is going into Apple territory slightly, and have no idea if the addition of this by Google would cause them any repercussions, but I think it would be a nice feature for them to add to this increasingly beautiful OS.
I had a few minutes so I threw something quick together to put my thoughts across as to what a good lockscreen notification system would look like in my opinion.

If anyone has seen something like this that I have missed, please let me know. I think this would be a nice addition to the lockscreen.

[Q] Help Theming Google Search Widget

Hi Guys,
I'm a designer and have put together a concept of a Google Search Widget that I wouldn't mind sitting on my home screen. I've integrated styles from other parts of the UI so that it'll fit more seamlessly into the user experience.
I've never developed for Android before but have done a lot of background reading and am aware of the various \res\drawable images I'll need to replace. My question is whether or not I'll be able to replace those images without rooting my device, using ASTRO for example?
Also, is it a simple case of replacing the \res\drawable images and it working or is there more to it?
I've got a locked bootloader and don't want to unlock it, so am waiting for ICS and a hopeful way to root with a locked bootloader then.
Screenshot of what it will look like:

I'll be re-designing the app that launches upon touch to look more like the Xperia UI menus
Cheers,
M
Bump for post edit (didn't want to duplicate/start a new topic)

[Q] What do you think of this Google Now / Holo inspired Android UX redesign? [WIP]

I got inspired by the design of Google Now and the new Play Store, so decided to give it a go on the Android settings, and battery menu. I'm hoping that Google goes towards this direction with Key Lime Pie, I don't really like the dark menus.
What do you guys think?
Would anyone be interested in helping me make a CM10.1 theme out of this?

looks good. Im pretty sure that this is what google is planning for the new ui in klp. The new playstores ui is similar to this-(holo light theme, with brighter colours)
Using your phone at night would burn out your retinas if Google are planning on using a theme like this. Also light themes are bad on AMOLED devices for both battery and display life. On the bright side, your mockup drawings are perfect.
I WANT THIS SO BAD! I've been searching around all day looking for something like this and I was shocked to find it doesn't exist. Seems like a no-brainer to me...
Nice work, by the way.

[Q] Weather widget with detailed information?

I love weather apps, but I've yet to find one that I really like that much. A lot of them are pretty good, some have this function or that function but none of them seem to have everything.
Anyway, years ago I used an app called PocketWeather on Windows Mobile and used a skin called Wonder Skin. It looked like this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Notably it has humidity, pressure, forecast, current conditions (inc wind), temperature graph etc.. It had everything at a glance, I rarely needed to look into the app at all for this.
Most weather apps I can find today just have some current info, mostly seem to be clock widgets + some weather info.
Anyone seen any weather widgets with more details on them? I don't really want to get into the complexities of making my own with something like UCCW but I'm pondering it.
Thanks!
I played with UUCW, just built-in functionality.... Its weather providers suck, plus no more information than I already had from other things.
I guess I'll eventually just do it entirely in Tasker/Zoom.

[Q] help finding a specific app

I'm not sure if this is the best place to post this, but it's the only place that makes sense to post it even a little. Def couldn't post in Apps & Games... Anyway, I'm trying to do something pretty specific... I'm trying to eliminate my status bar all together and just have halo (if you're familiar with halo on PA roms) .. I have my battery stats in halo, my signal bars in halo and weather also... The only thing I'm missing is the clock. I'd like to be able to slide over to a clock in halo the same way I can access my battery stats with circle widget reborn... Does anyone know of an app that can put a clock up as a notification in the same manner as an app like power toggles or circle widget reborn?... I've tried looking but I don't think anyone has done that since there's already a clock in the notification drawer, but obviously that clock doesn't show up in halo.
Something like this if this helps you get the idea of what I'm looking for...

Again sorry of this isn't the best place to ask, but it seemed the most appropriate.

Teach-A-Baby(In Development)

Hey everyone, just want to share with all of you an app idea i am currently working in developing. I would love to hear some advice and what can be done to make it better.
The point of this app is kind of straight forward. It is to teach kids their ABC's, how to count, their colors and to include some lullabies as well.
Currently i dont have the images i need so for now in the image below i only have the color red and an A in the middle. The scree i swipeable so when you swipe it goes to the next letter and pronounces it automatically out loud. Each letter will have a different background, NOT A COLOR, for example A will have a background of an apple, B will be a Bear, C could be a Cat and so on...
As of now i dont know how the app will look in its final stage but this is what i got so far.
The app just started being developed, so far not much is done but updates as it goes on will be posted. Thanks
Here are some images in order of how they load. The main Page has a sliding drawer from the left side of the screen. This drawer is ugly and not finished at all yet.
