[Tool][Win/Mac/Linux] JROMFlasher v2 - Clean your device - Prepare for Flashing ! - Nexus 7 Original Development

This is only for the Google Nexus 7 !
Alright ! I just coded this tool to help new user to wipe the device data properly and install custom recovery + stock kernel. For some reason, some persons have difficulty to wipe their device data. So yeah I just coded this little tool to make sure the ROM they want to install runs smoothly.
Here is a screenshot I took in Windows but it do works in Windows/Mac/Linux(Tested Linux Mint 13 and Ubuntu).

I assumed I already had the correct drivers installed and thought this program would work fine.
I was wrong, and got the "ADB/Fastboot device not found" error that a few of you have had and ended up with a Google splashscreen loop.
Don't try to be a smartass like I did, download the drivers that jamesst20 tells you to!
Thanks!

Well, if you're showing up Google splash boot it won't be detecting it You have to be in Fast boot/Recovery to get your device detected .
Hold power until the screen turn off and then hold volume down and it should boot to fast boot

You're suppose to follow the button in order
1. Go to fast boot
2nd, wipe
3rd Install custom recovery
4 go into recovery
5 mount your partitions
6 upload ROM
This is the exact order of my buttons if you don't follow them it will not work ^^
But after step 6, you must install the ROM from recovery ^^ otherwise don't expect anything else then being stuck on Google splash screen

I didn't look to see if there was one. A bit new to this. So far, I've gotten as far as unlocking the bootloader following your guide.

Open the zip in 7zip etc and pull out the boot.img and save in the firmware folder of flashtool
boot the phone into fastboot mode (hold the vol up key when connecting to PC while powered off)
hit the flash icon in flashtool and select fastboot
change to the correct dir and select boot.img
click open and it should flash a kernel with recovery
flash rom from recovery as instructed in OP

Patiently Waiting...
It appears you might be the first confirmed ZU GPE owner to root??
Sitting back and watching it all unfold.
My ZU Gpe:
C6806, KOT49H.S2.2052, 4.4.2
I only want to root so i can install Xposed Framework... But I don't want anything about my stock ROM to be negatively affected.

No, there was a rus when they first cone out, and I think one or two even bricked them in the first few days trying to flash things or even raw write to the sd card with dd
Regardless, after a thorough search I have found no definitive answer to successful root of a GPe

Agreed, I haven't found ONE person either.
Except myself at this point.
I actually thought I bricked my device at one point. A-lot of trial and error. There needs to be a better thread for us GPE owners on how to root I will admit.
Took me 2 days (not literally but roughly between stopping for work, eat, ect...)
Where usually it would only take me 30 minutes to root a device.

was there anything wrong with the instruction I wrote? anything that needs changing? anything you would add?
I can write up those instructions again as a guide thread if nothing need adding.
Oh you don't need root to flash a ROM just unlocked BL and recovery

Bit rough locking the thread...
There should be nothing in there that could hard brick the GPe phone is there? I thought I've seen someone that has even flashed a ZU kernel to their GPe and the worst that happened was a boot failure. I'ts not as if you are flashing FTFs with different partition layouts, the .zip should be using named partitions - thus relativity safe?
Are you pulling the device tree from CM?
I just built a Carbon build for the GPe (CM device tree) and it boots and runs well except for MMS and incoming calls by the sounds from a tester.
Good luck getting it unlocked.
ps I cant test my or your GPe builds as I don't have one either.
pps See http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2644346&page=3 for CM11 and Carbon on the GPe, and maybe pm @CCJ22 and see if they want to test liquid

[MOD] Email - Kill attachment limits

Email - Kill attachment limits
Description
This Xposed module removes the default 5MB attachment limit ("Can't attach file over 5MB.") of the AOSP/Play Store email application. It will not override attachment limits set by email server administrators, only the default artificial limits set by the email application are changed.
Warning: the Play Store version is not tested as I don't have a compatible device, but it should work. If someone could confirm this, I'd be happy.
Compatibility
Xposed v54 or later
Currently only a recent version of the email application is supported
The version must be based on the UnifiedEmail package and contain the commit, which introduced getMaxAttachmentSize method (see below for now). Because I'm too lazy to implement and test this for older versions, the minSdkVersion is set to 19.
Contributions for other versions are welcome
To see if your version is supported, try install the module and see the log of Xposed Installer for any errors. If you can't install it, your Android is too old.

Without this mod i can send less than 5, latest test shows there is no problem receiving any file. Just the outbox stuck at 4 emails I'm trying to send.
Which email provider, protocol and transport? How big is the file you're trying to send?
Personally I've tried ~10MB files using my company mail and GMail, both using Exchange over WiFi.
The mod doesn't touch the sending part at all, only the point where you attach the files to the email. I wonder if the Play Store version is doing some other checks.. Can you provide logcats to see if there are any errors?
Hi, our email I think is Rapid Systems, and I tried to send multiple files all amounting to more than 7 megs but to no avail. My gmail is OK only the Company Exchange is effected. Where shall I send the log to?
Hmm, okay. Could be an issue on the provider side. They might have some limits..
Hmm, XDA doesn't let you attach files to PMs I think. Can you upload to any file sharing site and PM me the link? You can zip and password protect it if you want, as long as you also PM me the password too..
Sure thing, I'll find something and then get back to you

How it doesn't work? The same error as above? I tested downloading via the Xposed app and it works fine. If you're trying to download it through the web, are you sure you're using the new link (changed package name), and not the old one?
Code:

Anyway, here's the apk attached.

That's weird. For parsing the package error, can you check the MD5 sum of the file you downloaded? It should be 81f8c877cb4317e38dd04adac6d2ed58.

SemcEmail.apk seems to be the Sony Xperia email application, not the AOSP one. Do you have two email apps, the AOSP one and Xperia one, or just the latter? I wonder if the Xperia email app is not up-to-date or have they renamed some packages.. Can you send the apk and I could take a look if they've just renamed stuff?

I rather do updates.
I don't know what AOSP is but I use Gmail2.apk for gmail account and SemcEmail for somewhere else.
MD5sum:

This is the one from path mentioned in your msg.

Yeah, I meant that the developers of the app have been lazy to base it on a recent version of the upstream code. It seems this is indeed the case. Decompiling SemcEmail.odex, you'll get files such as com\android\email\activity\ActionBarController.smali. This is present in the version 4.3.1_r1 of AOSP email, but not in the 4.4_r0.7. So, it's safe to say you're using an email application based on AOSP version 4.3, not 4.4, which is required by this mod.
AOSP being Android Open Source Project, ie the "original" email.apk from Android.
I guess I could catch the exception and warn the user that the version is incompatible or too old.. I wish there was a better way to verify the version.

Good find!
So it is *possible* then. Just need to wait for a suitable leak/hack by some genius (You?! ) to make it public and we can get rid of this damned aggressive power management with a ROM from a good home cook.
still no way to get a valid license to use tool ? @snowwolf725
the Download tool PE file seems to be protected by VMprotect3.0+ , seems not very easy to hack. First must find a way to unpack the PE file, get rid of that damn vm is necessary. Also, the aftersale account&password seems to be stored inside the binary, the account might have been binded with the binary shipped, captured no outbound traffic with wireshark when entered the password or changed the password.

If you unpack vendor.img form the zip, you will find that PAGM00_11_A.01_180615_bb38b587.zip was a fake.
That is a flash tool for R11s.
If you unpack vendor.img from OPPO Find X OTA zip, you will find 4 models in vendor.img.
17017 PAFM00 normal version
17018 PAFT00 CMCC (China Mobile Communications Corporation) version
17138 PAFT10 CMCC high-end version (with super VOOC)
17127 PAHM00 Lamborghini version(with super VOOC)/ High-end version (with super VOOC)
