[Q] Ramdisk on Archos 101G9 turbo 250GB

I bought an Archos because I thought I could install Linux. I have a problem with the ubuntu.img which is 1.9GB and the /data is only 1.5 at its max (800mb after installing some Android applications). The question I have is how can I increase the /data partition? Does it come from the 250GB, if so, how come it is so small? If not, where do I get that space from? I saw some postings on how to increase but the procedure does not work for this particular model: Archos 101 G9 1.5gh 250GB hdd. If somebody needs a tester please contact me.
...
I have the same problem and I can´t figure it out!
The flashversions don´t have these problem, because they have all of these space, but the HDD version, just 1,5Gb... In another thread I try to figure out how to mount the HDD for more app-space, but the HDD is slow and it would be very inefficient, soo you should change the HDD to a SSD...
If there is any option without modifing the hardware let us know
Other Thread
This would be the other thread...
We´re trying to get more app storage at the HDD version!

250GB is hdd storage, Android uses it to store your files only (videos, music, documents etc). Data partition (system files, apps, app data) is in flash memory which is much smaller.

[Q]Xperia U - Resize Internal Memory

Hey there everyone,
I've got a question that im impatient to know if its possible or not :
The Xperia U has a total of 6GB for personal use. 2GB for apps and 4GB for Data.
Can we trade between those 2 sections ? What i mean is :
Can i configure the phone (somehow) to have 1GB for apps and 5GB for Data ?
For me,2GB for apps is excessive and 4GB for Data is a bit low so tradeing 1GB between them would make it perfectly balanced.
Anyone know if its possible ?o.o

I tried a few apps like Rom Manager ,andromizer and more but nope, its not gonna work.
I've been reading around tho that people who needed to enlarge the App internal memory ,could do it by repartitioning the Data partition and use a few scripts.
Also there is another solution which is copy the files to /system/app and "Directory Link" them to a false one on the SD card, but thats a pain.
Problem is none of those seem to work ,i tried linking directories but nope wont work. Also repartitioning the Data Partition means formatting the current ROM which i cant really do as i need my phone intact with all the info/apps/config that it has atm,not to mention we dont even know if that would work because all of those reparitioning use SDCard's and its ment to EXPAND/Enlarge the App Internal Memory...not reduce it (which is what we want).
*confused*
Somebody please throw light in here!

Please Help! regarding this
You need a kernel with a partition editor in the ramdisk (the Ace 2 CM10.2 has parted, I'd prefer (also) having gdisk as it isn't limited to creating partitions in order -- that's sufficient on the Samsung, can't say if it could work on the Sony without seeing a partitions dump first), a ROM in zip format (if you want to resize /system too), a computer with ADB and a calculator

You can using partition resizer program posted by munjeni somewhere in forum just note do not touch 1-9 partition just mmcblk0p10 (this one is system, then goes data, cache etc) and after you find what you need, delete them and make new ones.
Not problem really.

[Q] Is it possible to join the internal memory into one?

Hi Guys,
I know this is not the correct place to ask this question but i don't find any seperate theread for hcl me tabs.
Problem:
In HCL me tablet the internal memory 4GB is spitted into 3 partitions (Flash, Data ...) Is it possible to join these 3 partitions into one? because i need to install 3 apps sized more than 500mb whenever i try to install the apps it's say not enough space. I am giving this to the client, I can't tell him to purchase an SD card separately for this purpose. Can anyone help me to solve this because i have 30 tablet i can't tell my client to buy sd card for all tablets.
Theoretically yes but that means a huge risk of making a non-recoverable brick as the locked bootloader may (most probably) refuse to boot an a modified partition table.
Thanks man

[Q] Hello, please I need help to move apps to SD in LG L70 phone.

Hello, well, I'm sorry if this thread shouldn't be here, I'm a new user =D. But well, I ask help please, I hope to find an answer.
See, I've rooted my phone, but I can't move the apps to SD. I partitioned the SD for using Link2SD and it recognize the partition ext2, but can't create the links for apps. I fixed the problem the SD for writing (I can copy, cute and paste from internal storage to SD and inverse? - Sorry, my english is basic and don't have enough megabytes for using an English-Spanish dictionary =D-). So, I think that LG made a good job locking the system. I found some apps for trying to solve the problem, but I think the system protects of they (like Force2SD, Final App2SD, etc.) because don't let me install them, it says that the device don't have enough memory, but does let me install other apps heavier, like facebook. So, the system doesn't give permissions for move apps although the device is rooted. For now, I read that my only salvation is installing a Custom ROM. But there is no ROM for my device until now . Someone knows another option for help me?

I just figured it out, phone is rooted, card is partitioned, you can still only move very few apps to the card, but you can "link" them to the card, it is the option below the move to sd button. I went from having 400MB free to 750MB with the free app, and now have 1.2GB with the paid version. I am amazed!

Resize data partition on cm 11?

Hello, i've been looking for information on how to resize the data partition on cm-11 and i've found that it can be done fairly easy for samsung, the problem i'm facing is that i'm on pantech burst 16gb and i can't find any information for it. Right now i'm at the point of "can't install app, insufficient storage space available". I've tried a few apps like app2sd, link2sd and similar and haven't got almost no real result on increasing or liberated storage space, most of my apps are small and i don't have many apps installed. Anyway can someone help me to resize the data partition so i can update apps without uninstalling others.
Thank you!
Can someone help me?
