AT&T Release Day 1 Notes - Nokia Lumia 920

All stores in my area have the Lumina 920 in stock - San Francisco / San Jose area. Here are some Day 1 Notes:
All phones are $449 without contract in store
Only Black and White models available in stores
In-Store refuses to sell phones without service
Charge Plate not free in store (even with contract)
No "unlocked" options offered, though, manager seemed very angry at the mere mention of this, so cannot confirm if it is unlocked by default
This is day one observations, so things will change over time I suspect.
I did not buy phone, as I wanted see the Cyan and Yellow in person to make a final decision. I might go back tomorrow and pose as a customer just to get my hands on a phone to cram my SIMple Mobile SIM in and see what happens. SIMple is a re-branded carrier on the T-Mobile network.

Did you see about Nokia offering free charge plate? This might help offset no free charging plate in store. Looks like not happening for another week or so though.
http://www.wpcentral.com/nokia-offer-free-wireless-charging-plate-many-lumia-820-and-920-customers

Weird I bought mine in an AT&T store today. It was $100 on 2 year, $500 no contract. I had to ask twice as I had seen online that it was suppose to be $450 and he tried ringing it up and it came up as $500. I didn't bother to call around or try very hard, I've known the guy for a while and don't think he was trying to scam me.
They were ordering free plates for anyone who purchased one shipped directly to your house. They did it for me and at least 3 other customers just while I was there.

Stores in my area had black, white, and red. There were no charging plates in the store. The deal was I paid $49 for the phone and $50 for the charging plate, which gets dropped shipped to my house. You can't refuse the plate to get a discount on the phone. No matter what, you're going to pay $99 for the phone. Also, it was $449 off contract but no charging plate.

My store had Red available. The store didn't have any of the charging pads in stock but I was able to get one free and shipped to my house.

Why Corporate?

Because of personal experience, I avoid going into the local AT&T store like the plague. I've been to some where I've had great experiences and tons of help, though.
But I'm just curious why so many are pre-ordering at AT&T stores this week when Best Buy is giving away $50 gift cards upon activation (phone freedom deal) plus the free flip case. (Must register mobile numbers by Feb 12, but can upgrade anytime during 2012.)
Is there a side benefit to buying through the corporate store that I don't know about?

I would like to know that as well i did my preorder at bestbuy and got the the $50 gift card and the free case but really the major reason I got the phone at bestbuy was there insurance in my opinion there's are much better then AT&T simply for the fact they don't have a deductible when I had a inspire and the phone screen crack I had to pay like $200 to get it replaced and with bestbuy if I break my screen or damage it in any way I will get another at no cost
I think it is because some are getting around their actual upgrade date by some flaw in ATTs system and therefore are forced to preorder on their website. Others that go into store, Im not sure. For one thing, the phone freedom thing is awesome and Ive been utilizing it for every customer that gets a phone upgrade. Im handing out gift cards on flip phones lol. People are complaining about the upgrade price but you can get it at BBY for 250 if you sign up for phone freedom this week. And you get a case? lol double bonus. Last, and this may just be because I work there, I think ATT's insurance sucks. $7 a month and (Note will be a tier 3 insurance item) a $200 deductible for replacement. That is insane and I dont know how they have anyone buying that program. Sure, you cover lost and stolen but who the hell is gonna lose such a big device. Gorilla glass or not, the note's screen can crack (look at the int version forum, it happens) and I for one am not paying $7 a month ($168/2 year contract) and then a gigantic deductible. Im not gonna go into details but if you're thinking about getting yours at BBY, ask the guy about Geek Squad Black Tie protection. He should give you a good enough run down of the program that my rant will make sense lol
Follow-up question re: Black Tie...
Month to month @ $10 per
or
$170 upfront for 24 months

Correct. I always do the outright because it does save some money and you dont have to have recurring payment from a card. If you get another phone within the two years you can return the protection at the prorated amount.
I tried upgrading via BB and it said I did not qualify for an update.
Signed on to AT&T and they offered me an early upgrade*.
*Which, by the way, matched what I was told by the local store rep. when I purchased my current phone last year (I obviously didn't know if he was right or not but knew he was might be just trying to make a sale).
One of the very few things an ATT store can do that Best Buy cannot is change dates to do an early upgrade. The only ones ATT allows us to do is an early iPhone upgrade, which kind of sucks cuz its just 200 off retail

No. Around my area the ATT store reps rush you in and out like you are an annoyance. BB in almost all cases will have a better deal. Like in this case you can get $50 gift card + a free case if you pre-order.
from my experience with the at&t stores in my area a lot of them are not very experienced at all they couldn't help me with any questions at all where the people at my bestbuy mobile were very helpful
The corporate stores are pretty awesome in my area. When I went in to preorder my Note I recognized the dude I bought my 8525 from eons ago -- lots of experienced reps in my area. The only downside I run into is that it always seems to be World War III between the store reps and the call-in reps whenever I go in there. The good thing is the store reps are always fighting for me, but as the customer it sucks to stand there for literally two hours in the this case watching the store rep look at dinner recipes on her iPad because customer service has her on hold then she ends up getting in a spitting match with the guy asking for his employee number and hanging up on him . . . lol. But in the end she figured it out for me so more power to her . . . but yea, it always seems to be a war between them and the phone reps whenever I go in there.

This is just my opinion But; it seems to me If they have to call into ATT cs (call in reps) it means the store reps dont know what they are doing.
i went to corperate cause they will allow early upgrades and BB cant do that.
It always seems like they know what needs to be done they just don't have the authority to do it.

Does Bestbuy allow you to use the upgrade from another line in the family plan? I know Amazon Wireless policy doesn't allow you to do that.

As a corporate store employee, and a customer for years, I cannot disagree more.
The reason we have to sometimes call customer service is because they have a more extensive version of our system than we do. And, in general, customer service has more power, for lack of a better term, than we do. If the customer needs something done that can't be done from opus, then we have to call it in. It's not a limitation of the rep themselves, but the actual computer system.
Funny thing is, customer service is wrong too often for my liking. Such as, sending customers to the store for things we can't help them with, just because they didn't want to deal with it. Happens a lot. Hanging up on customers, etc.
The reason why there's such a battle with customer service is they aren't trained well, and are poorly managed. I can't tell you how many times I've had to call customer service AGAIN, on behalf of a customer, because the last customer service rep didn't do something right.
That's pretty much what the suit and tie manager told me during my two hour Note preorder. He said some of the customer service reps are even contract employees that take simultaneous calls for multiple companies including AT&T and that at most they have one week of AT&T training whereas he has in store employees that have been there well over five years.

Thank you BESTBUY!!!

Long story short:
10am (release day yesterday) - went to best buy
11am - Still waiting for other people to activate their lines
11am - ATT servers (upgrade/new activations) maintenance!!! wth?!
So I went home expecting the servers to come back up in a couple of hours.
3pm - Back to best buy.
4pm - finally got help by best buy rep.
4:30 - bestbuy system crash!!
5pm - Phone activated @ $249.99 by manager ($50 bestbuy gift card for new/renew lines did not print out), offered a black tie no deductible protection plan with immediate swap if anything happens for $5.99!!!
Today: Bestbuy.com emailed me my $50 gift certificate because I upgraded.
So far... I love this phone and basically paid only $199 for the phone! Plus I got discounted on the insurance program.

Just to let you know, black tie is not an immediate in store swap. Once the phone is set up in the bbym system for rapid exchange it is 2-5 day wait for exchange. Before rapid exchange is set up it's up to 30 days for a repair. If they told you it's an immediate exchange, they lied. Don't wanna burst your bubble but I've been with the company for a bit and have seen some sales people sell it to customers like that but there's no way we can just exchange

I've had pretty good experience with their rapid exchange. They immediately swapped out my Dell Streak when I had a problem with the microSD reader. It could have been because it's a Streak and they are just dying to get rid of it, but I just brought it in and they replaced it no questions asked. Hell, they even watched it load up the Olleh rom instead of the AT&T rom and didn't care one bit. Could have just been my Best Buy though.
The manager even confirmed it with me that it was going to be a direct swap and he was the one who authorized the discounted black tie program. I wouldn't doubt your assumptions either about the weekly waits, but hearing it from the manager alone... that's good enough to me.
Well hopefully it works out for you then and you don't have any issues. If they are somehow just replacing in store you shouldn't have to worry. Problem with the cheaper black tie is it only covers up to $350 heres to no issues though!

I think that it is just based on the store/sales rep. My sister in law broke the screen on her Kindle in a week of owning it and they replaced it on the spot. Also when I traded my Infuse for the SGS2 I didn't revert it back to stock nor did I give back the sd card or HDMI out cable.
By the power of Exynos.

great deal, and at least you got taken care of. you will definitely have a problem servicing the $5.99 GSBTP as when you go to make a claim it the system probably won't allow it. the only reason it rang up is the mgr manually overrode the price fooling the POS to think the phone was only $249.99. Like was said before, I hope they take care of you, but if you go to a different store, they probably will send you back to the store you bought it from as when you take the phone it, that store will end up eating the whole price of the phone...
I can also tell you that 99% of the stores WILL NOT swap your phone on the spot. The ones that do, don't understand how much money they are losing when they do that. (good for customers, BAD for job security). GSBTP is GREAT, no deductible, 2-5 day turn time from a refurb and a loaner (if you need one) for $50.
i really would take that back and have them put on the correct service plan. maybe the manager will comp you another accessory to make up the difference. you are really asking for a headache (not saying that you won't get taken care of, but it won't be easy as you have the INCORRECT policy for that phone)
I work for BBYM and I am just looking out for ya.

"Official" Pre-order thread... :)

Doesn't look like a thread has been opened - so here goes..
Saw the info online this morning that Best Buy was now taking pre-orders for the Lumia 920. My corporate ATT store is actually closer to where I live so I decided to stop there instead.
I was surprised to find out that even though Best Buy is doing the pre-orders - the ATT stores are not (yet). ATT reps were aware that Best Buy is taking pre-orders, however, ATT (at least this store - the largest corporate store in NE Atlanta, GA) was NOT taking pre-orders ...
Strike 1..
So - went to Best Buy instead - details:
- Best Buy is taking pre-orders at the stores and on-line (even though not advertised in the fliers).
- Pre-order is $50 (once they verified upgrade eligibility for my account). They give you a gift card - enter the reservation in the system, etc.
- In store I pre-ordered from - they are currently ONLY taking pre-orders for the matte Black color (which is fine - as I was debating between the Black and Cyan - as I don't want the glossy colors due to potential scratching, etc. - I was leaning towards black - so this just made the choice that much easier)
- Process was straightforward - I asked when I could expect it - the rep checked and noted to me that "launch day" is currently scheduled for this Friday 10/26. Since I was one of the first to order today - he expects that I'll be able to pick mine up either that day or Saturday at the latest.
Ermmmmmm! I think the rep gave you a bum steer. Windows 8 launches 26th Oct. WP8 launches 29th.

i also went to my bestbuy only black yes and no words on release date or at least we couldnt find any info on the system, didnt pre order cause i want the yellow one
I preordered mine on Bestbuy.com
Today the money came out of my bank account but I didn't get an email stating my order has been shipped. I bought the out of contract version expecting I would get it faster.
I will let you know when I get it to see if I get it earlier that way.
bestbuy.com is only accepting WP8 Pre-Orders on the HTC 8X, I don't see the 920 listed there.
Either way, I have to wait for corporate stores to get things rolling. With my corporate discount and WP8 device reimbursement from my company, I'll be getting the phone for free, but in order to do so, I'll have to jump through all the right hoops.
Besides, with my hefty discount on accessories, I hope to get some more goodies too.
Pre-order of Lumia 920 started in Finland. Best deal is 20€/month/24month or 480€ right away. Going to take this one.
Of only the norwegian suppliers can get their fingers out of their not so shiny place and give me one.
This made me switch from iOS and this delay is making me second guess it already....

How AT&T Dropped the ball on the 920 release

Seriously, I have been a loyal AT&T customer for OVER 10 years, with 5 phone lines and 1 data only line (paying almost $400/mo) and this time, I almost told then to "GO F*** OFF!!"
Back story: First, the news that the 920 was releasing was released in September. In October, we found out that AT&T was able to get an exclusive for 6 months on the device. We also had the WP8 release event from Microsoft. November, AT&T FINALLY releases pricing for the 920 and a release date. No news on Pre-Order availability until it was a few days from release date.
Now, AT&T did such a HORRIBLE job on educating their own customer service reps, that I almost just gave up.
1. I tried to pre-order online, but since I have a corporate discount on my account, I had to go through their Enterprise Portal and pre-order was blanked out so I could no do it.
2. I thought I would be sly and order it by phone. Everything went well until the rep told me it was $199.99... I choked and told her "No Thanks"!
3. I went into the store when it opened (Wed Nov 7). Rep there didn't even know pre-orders were being accepted but after much assuring by me and looking in her computer, she started my order. After finishing she GUARANTEED me it would arrive by Friday, that is what the computer was telling her.
Friday comes and my phone is still in "Processing" state. I called to get an update and I was told it was being processed and would ship soon. In other words, she had no freaking clue.
I bash AT&T on FB and get a text from a rep from my store asking me what's up. We text for a while and come to find out that it may take a week or more for my phone to ship. The original rep should have told me that, but no, set my expectations really high to get smashed.
After looking over my order some more, he finds out that my free charging pad was not added to my order, so now I have to go BACK and get that fixed.
To make it worse, the availability of the phone in AT&T stores has been lackluster at best. I'm talking most only are getting 3 devices in Black, Red and/or White for sale. All other colors have to be ordered.
Oh, they are not even letting people in line waiting to get one know that they are out of stock, instead, they are letting them stay there waiting for an hour+ at a time to tell them they have none, but then try to sell them on a S3, Note 2 or an iPhone 5.
So, where did AT&T drop the ball? Hell, if you read up and also what others around the country have been saying, they pretty much dropped it everywhere they could, and even in some placed you didn't think they could!
I'm going to wait out for my Yellow 920. I am going to get over all this eventually, but all I can tell you know is, if I ever go to pre-order a phone from AT&T and am told it will arrive on launch date, it will be in writing and someone will pay for it if it falls through.
If you plan to go to a store and wait in a "line" for this phone, just go up and ask over someone shoulder to see if they even have one.
Agreed. I preordered my red 920 on the 7th, was guaranteed that it would arrive by the 9th. Now being told it won't even ship for another "week or two". Being told that it was first come first serve, but I know people who preordered on the 8th received their phones on the 9th as promised. Very annoyed by all of this, honestly.
I learned a long time ago not to preorder from AT&T except in store. I have yet to in the stores on morning/mid day or even early afternoon of a release day device and not be able to get one. Now I live in Maine so obviously that is a lot easier than if you live in a big city or what not.
2 Stores near me got plenty of Note II's, 8X's and 920's. The one I chose to go to had the 10 black 920s, 10 white, and 5 red. No Yellow or Cyan.
The last time I preordered online I got my phone about a week after release, even though the devices were in stock at the store.
I preordered both the iPhone 3gs and 4 in store and they were both there release morning.
in store...

I preordered in store early Wednesday and am still waiting, so this is no sure fix. I also am not getting the charger and will have to return to the store to argue about it. I did have the option of shipping the phone to the store, which considering the store had it in stock on Friday would have been a better idea this time since even if my phone wasn't there I would have just taken one of the ones they had. As preordered Lumia 900s that were shipped directly arrived before the models in store, how would you have guessed? Certainly AT&T botched this release in the US.
Damn unfortunate . I ordered a 920 Cyan thru Att premier on Nov 8 and got it today Nov 10. They shipped it overnight instead of 2 day :good:

The bigger question is why in the name off all things good and holy are you paying AT&T so much money? Switch to Straight Talk and pay half of that for four lines, and that includes all-you-can-eat minutes/text/data?
I'm confused, why are you paying so much??
My family plan with 5 lines and 4 out of the 5 have 3GB data and we're only paying $250 a month.
AT&T stores are having issues with the amount of L920 they are getting in stores. The store I went to only had 1 nokia in stock which was in black. Couple other stores in the area had maybe 2-3 in stock. Maybe none.
I avoided the whole pre-order nonsense and
took a chance that I would get the phone by getting in line at the store Friday morning. I have pre-ordered before and had a similar experience and will never do it again. All in all, I was able to get the phone Friday after waiting in line outside the store for 30 mins. and once I got inside the store, about an hour.

You guys had lines for the Nokia? That's weird, I've seen videos of people waiting in line and there's about 5-10 other people but I never seen any type of line at my AT&T store.
I went on launch day.

I have a similar story, but mine was worked out so I actually received my phone today via FedEx and I will never order another device where they have to deliver it. I went online after mid-night to try and order the device, but everything it kept trying to charge me an extra $150 for the charging plate and the $100 which was to drop the phone to $99. So I called ATT and the first rep couldn't tell what was going on and chalked it up to me being a corporate account user. So I had to call back the next day and waste another hour on the phone with a corporate rep who finally told me to just order it and they would credit it back after the fact - what part of stupid, do I look? So I wasted an hour on phone before work and called back at Lunch to find out that I had a code which showed my service plan wasn't compatible with the offer, and that they needed to update it. So I wait for a supervisor, explain my situation for the third or fourth time and get cut off before she can correct the freaking problem. I finally call back and speak to gentlemen by the name of Jose, who walks me to through, count them, 4 transfers before we get back into the corporate account section and a darling young lady sets the code correctly to reflect a current voice and data plan compatible with the offer and I immediately am able to order the phone on their website. This is the afternoon of the 7th of November. They process my order, it gets sent out to FedEx and of course, two day deliver doesn't mean a hill of beans to them. I see a status that it was picked up the morning of 8 November and estimated for delivery on 12 November. So I go through the entire weekend without a new toy to play with; but no biggie, I got the phone and charging plate after being told by ATT that the plate was on backorder. SO I AM NOW HAPPY. If I could only get my wireless hotspot, all would be golden.

Maybe none.

I pay more because I am on an Enterprise Unlimited Data Plan (means no throttling, EVER) with all 5 lines and a few of the devices have insurance.
Strait Talk is out of the question because of the plan stipulations and level of service I would lose with those plans over the Enterprise service.
As for an update. Nope, still no phone and still no word on when it will ship.
Latest update other than it not shipping:
Ok, when I pre-ordered, I ordered the phone and a charging STAND. What ended up happening is, they placed the order for my PHONE and a charging PAD (after corporate discount, it was $25). When I questioned why my FREE pad was not on my order, come to find out they ordered the phone and I PAID for the free pad. So they fixed that, then I placed the order for my stand and it was $37 after corporate discount..
I hate AT&T!

In-Store Experiences

Who else picked up their Note II in a brick and mortar store? Did you get there before the store opened? Were a lot of people waiting for or discussing the phone?
I got to my local Verizon store a few minutes before it opened. There was already a guy waiting there, so I asked him if he was waiting for the same thing I was... and he was. We talked about the features for a bit and then got let into the store. I got the Titanium Grey model. The store manager did my transaction... when he went back to get the phone, he brought a small pile of cases and screen protectors for me to choose from. I told him I already had both... heh. The guy who was there before me shared emails with me and we tested S-Beam before we left the store. It was pretty cool. I'm surprised there weren't more people waiting for it, but I don't live in a huge town.

i personally had a system glitch when i was using my fiancé's line to upgrade on her line then to switch to my phone to keep my unlimited data. but in the middle of it all the system glitched and i was able to buy the phone on a discounted price without renewing my contract and keep my unlimited data. will be waiting a few weeks to see if my unlimited data drops and if it does they will put in a request to return it the way it was. cause i personally did not sign a new 2 year contract nor was i asked to.
and i was at the store at 11 am there was a older gent in his mid 60's buying one. lol and i bought it in one of the biggest stores in tampa.
I went to a Verizon Store in a BJ's. Guy there was a total jerk. I must have been the first customer since I got there about 10min after the store opened and he was turning on the phones. I exchanged my DNA and got my Note. I was so pissed about the guys attitude. (sighs, tone of voice, throwing my DNA box on the counter) I forgot to ask for a white Note so I'm stuck with a Titanium and I'm not paying $35 to exchange it for a white one.

verizon only allows 1 exchange.
Did you buy the DNA from the same store? If I get attitude, I just tell them to refund me and I'll go buy it online through a 3rd party vendor. That usually changes their attitude.

Yeah I bought the Note and DNA at the Verizon Kiosk at BJ's Wholesale Club. The only other corporate store around here is in the "hip" outdoor mall that is PACKED this time of year.
So since I returned my DNA for this Note, I couldn't exchange it for a white one even if I wanted to?

Probably not. They only allow 1 exchange by policy. Might be able to sweet talk them.
I arrived at my Verizon store at 11 and was able to get the white note 2. I was a little nervous on not being able to get it since the manager the day before told me they only had a total of 4 note 2s (2 grey, 2 white) and that around 70 people called into the store the past few days asking about the Note 2.
I bought my Note 2 outright so I can keep my unlimited data. Oh and there was also a Samsung rep in the store completely decked out in samsung gear with both a Note 2 and S3 in hand checking out the place and taking pictures on how the store was displaying Samsung products. He came up to me and gave me a nice Samsung Mobile pen. He talked about how I liked the Note 2 and I talked to him about his role with Samsung.

I would have told him that its great but its unfortunate Samsung couldn't stand its ground on the bootloader.
Mine was smooth. Went in. Fondled it and Decided to pay retail (keep unlim). I'm surprised the guy didn't try pushing me to upgrade since I'm eligible but I was straightforward on cost and knowledge so he'd have to get the next sucker, haha.

Smooth transaction, no wait. We went up there to pre order on Tuesday and picked it up Thursday. Neither trip took more than 20-30 minutes, and part of that was just bs'n with the guy(gotta establish a hook up!). We were the only order as far as I know(it's a new location), and the guy said he had to take a peek at it before we got there..none of the people there had ever seen the phone before, and they couldn't believe how big it was! I believe most of them had iPhones too, so yeah I'm sure it did look huge to them! Haha. Our salesman had an iPhone, iPad and had just gotten an iPad mini, so let's just say he's no Android expert(or warranty expert for that matter), but very helpful nonetheless. So far I'm happy with the switch. Came from T-Mobile.

Saw best buy mobile in a nearby mall had stock so I ordered it for in store pickup at 6:30 am. Went after work to get the phone. They were sold out of titanium and had one white left when I got there. I got the titanium. Pretty smooth transaction.

I got mine at the VZW store at the mall last night. We had a great rep who took care of us and got done what we needed to as it was a bit of a song and dance porting my number and merging onto my fiancee's account. It took a good while, but he made the time pass quickly.
I'm liking the N2 so far. ^
I got mine at a store in Jacksonville. The sales rep was awesome because I had an issue with my pre-order, and she felt bad so she mine stashed away one for me so I could come get it after class. She said she wasn't really allowed to do that, but she started my order for me so that she had a reason to hold it. She said there were people waiting outside before they opened and sold about 5-6 within the 40 minutes since it opened. They didn't get many in, so I'm assuming I got one of the last ones. Overall a good experience.

I walked into a corp store here in town (Champaign, IL) at 10:45 and was meet by a manager and representative right away. Manager took notice cause I was carrying a box with all the DNA stuff in it .. Asked why I was returning the phone and then asked the sales lady to help me out... Only thing that held me up was the fact that the lady couldn't find the transactions for my DNA case to refund me but eventually did.. I got the White Note 2 and am very happy with me purchase.. My local Verizon store has always been top notch as well.
Not able to buy it yet, but went and checked out the Verizon version in store to see what was different about it. Wife is sold on it too. Thought she'd be getting the iphone 5 so pretty happy she came to her senses. Didn't think she'd go for the note 2 though; been talking about the DNA or the GSIII to her.
Got there around the store opened. A little after 9. Only 2 people ahead of me. My own hassle was being able to keep my unlimited data, because I paid half up front and put the rest on the bill. They had to remove the unlimited then call CS to add it back. Also my cable was faulty, it wouldn't charge so had to go back and get a new one, but they didn't have a white ones left so just gave me a black one. Other than that pretty easy experience.
Bought a Sprint n2 a month ago because we now have sprint lte. But their coverage is not as good as Verizon. So selling the sprint and hour to recoop the 350 cancellation fee. Used upgrade to buy Verizon n2 at 10am on launch day. 5 sold right away. Bought at Verizon store. Went by best buy but to crowded and didn't see a display so they may not have had it yet. Verizon rep very nice and helpful. All went great. Love Verizon and note 2!

You had to exchange the phone for a bad cable?? Or are you referring to the cable color? I got the Titanium Gray, but my charger and cable were white. Is that the norm?
I got such a stress headache worrying that I wouldn't be able to get one. My 14 day return period on the S3 ended on the 29th and the N2 was available on the 29th but I read here and there that some stores only had 2, some didn't have white, etc. If I couldn't get a white one, I was going to have to order it and use an old HTC Rhyme with a cracked screen in the meantime. So as I approached the store at 8:45 and saw cars, one after another turning into the parking lot. My heart was racing as I quickly found a parking spot. I wondered why people aren't getting out of their cars and lining up at the door when I realized there was a Starbucks right in the same shopping center. There was not one person in line for Verizon. I went in, exchanged my phone and was the only customer in the store. They said they had 20 of each color in stock. I celebrated my good fortune with a Starbucks Cappuccino.
