TBH, I wouldn't think so. I have lways been told my themes tend to speed up ROM's.
I of course didnt touch Apex.
Thank you, yes there will be more. I have only done small amount of coding, most is the inclusion of my images... Not sure how it would slow down? you reboot at least once? Also you can flash the revert to see if issue goes away. Of course lag is so subjective. LOL

Huh? universal? What do you mean?
Are you meaning so it can be flashed on any ROM? No,this cant be done, as different ROM's have done different things to their system files sir.
Are you talking about making it so it can be flashed on same ROM with different versions? Sometimes they do, depends on what the Dev changed in the ROM version, sometimes themes can be flashed on mulitple versions of same ROM. This can depend on wether a Themer gets support from the Dev to know what is changed, or themer goes through and checks and tells users it's still good.
As a general rule of thumb, unless it's stated, themes are only good for ROM versions they state.

First there is 4 different versions of CM10 right now.
Second, the official is in a nightly build, which means i could never keep a theme up.
Third, doesnt seem to be as much request or users on N10.. to see where this is goign to go with ROM/Dev support.
Forth, I have even written dev of this ROM and get no response.
So it really comes down to stable release and Dev support and interaction.

It doesn't.
OP, there's a ~1 pixel tall border that's lighter in color that you can see whenever the screen displays something dark (like the screen where you can select widgets, shortcuts, wallpaper...), can that border be changed to black also? Or did Honeycomb 3.1 have that also?

Stock had a similar look to it, with the gray border if you want me to make you one with all black let me know. Just send me a pm I have the stock look done atm but i don't like how the screen shot icon looks. I should have a stock look up in a few hours.

OP, the issue with a gray background behind icons extends to icons other than debugging. Right now, my notification bar icons for CopyPasteIt (clipboard icon) and Google Music Beta (headphones icon) both have gray backgrounds on the black bar.
Isn't there a way to make any and all icons show black backgrounds?? There's no way you can keep up with every single icon and keep editing to fix the issue..there are unlimited icons that may show up there for apps..
Is it possible to eliminate this issue for all icons?
The icon pack is about half done I am at work right now so Ill do more when i get home, but should be done soon.

I have not checked this as i don't own a XT720. So people who try this have to inform of any issues which i can fix. If it works properly, it should look like the screenshots above.
I have removed the versions with transparent status bars as they are not working properly.

Twisted Inception
The port of this theme was requested by JiroPrinz8. Kudos to the original creator of the theme, bp328i of droidforums. My job is just to port it to xt720.
First build is almost ready. There are small issues. Not all notification widget icons are themed. I will rectify it in future builds.
Procedure : Download zip file and place it in openrecovery/updates folder. Flash in AOR. Dalvik-cache/cache wipe is not required but recommended.

Downloading MIUI now.. Will update ASAP.
Flashed the theme, and there are some white on white, and the icons in settings is still TI, (flashed over TI)
Will now try flashing over stock to see if it makes any difference. Attached some pics.

So that's why it seems lacking something.. LMAO!
Yup dialler is as in screenshot, sorry dumb question, which part is the statusbar..? LOL! Far as i can tell the only issue is the white on white in the notif area, i don't have the date showing that would overlap the ongoing icons, as in the OP, IIRC the date is only showing in CM, or i haven't enabled it if at all possible.. downloading 2nd release.

I suggest going to stock first, as when i tried flashing over TI, icons from the previous theme kept on with the new one.

Which launcher are you using. If you install adw and untick wallpaper hack from advanced settings, you will have a transparent statusbar ( the top bar where you get your date/time/data & wifi icons etc ). You can see thru the statusbar. If you have used miui earlier, you'll understand what i am talking abt.
Also is your date shown on statusbar while pulling down notifications?

Oh ok I got it now, no, I don't have the Status bar, as in the pics, the carrier name is the only one there, no status bar icons/widgets.
Nope, no date on the status bar when I pull down for notifications.
You should not see your date. That's how the theme needs to work. And you should be able to see your wallpaper thru the statusbar as shown in the picture below. Use a lighter wallpaper. You cannot make out with a dark wallpaper.
I just flashed the RC2 stock, I was on your original Twisted Inception for the first Special, and leaves the Twisted inception keyboard. It may just be a fluke since it isn't your updated Twisted Inception. No big deal cuz I like that green themed keyboard I posted to go with RC2 anyway. So now gonna try your new themes.

I get it now, sorry bout the confusion, so I checked and the status bar is NOT transparent, tried installing ADW to untick the Wallpaper Hack, didn't change anything though. Still the Status Bar is solid and is not transparent.
I don't think it's a big deal though, but if it's necessary for the theme, by all means just post a build I can test for you.

I dont know why the png's are not changing. Also i changed all network icons to miui style, but it is still green. I'll take a look later.
Ok. Found out why the statusbar is not changing. Its not the themes fault. Usually the statusbar image which is in framework-res.apk is a .9 png ( statusbar_background.9.png ). The theme has this file, but the rom uses a normal png ( statusbar_background.png ). So even if you apply the theme, the statusbar image is not being replaced.
Also found out why network bars are still green. HM has made a lot of changes not found usually in Froyo based roms.
I'll post a final build today.

That makes perfect sense now wish we could have thought of it, since we do know this isn't your normal build with mass changes in it, we just don't know enough about anything to be able to know that lol. Sorry for wasting your time sileshn and thanks for making the unusual adjustments for us.
That's ok guys. I am uploading 3 versions of the miui theme now.
1. Transparent status bar - no date
2. Transparent status bar - with date ( notifications images will overlap date )
3. Non Transparent stock statusbar
As soon as someone checks and lets me know that they all work as expected, i will port the other themes.

Basically this theme is AOSP ICS (or at least as much as I can theme so far) for Sense 3.6.
The status icons (data, signal, alarm, sync, etc.) as well as the notification bar/tray and most of the Sense toggles and boxes have been themed to ICS blue. This is a combination of my work from combining elements from AOSP source and the modified Sense elements from shnizlon (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1470497).

5/7/12 - fixed quick contact elements, fixed alarm clock color to ICS blue, fixed loading spinner to stock color
5/6/12 - updated to new ICS leak framework (this only works on new ICS leak 2.14.531.3), fixed status bar clock color, corrected theme inconsistencies with dialog boxes, fixed a few other icons and elements to ICS blue
4/27/12 - fixed quick contact menu, fixed airplane mode to AOSP, corrected toggle switch color, changed volume slider button, corrected volume bar color, fixed the quick boot menu again
4/26/12 - fixed gps icons to AOSP, corrected headphones icons, fixed reboot menu icons, fixed download/upload animations to blue, corrected sync icon, corrected a few more notification tray elements, added AOSP icons in separate flashable zip, added separate battery percents zip
4/25/12 - Initial release. Most status bar, notification tray and toggles have been themed

Same here, all I have gotten so far is stuck at the boot animation.
wow thats weird. After you installed the themes like a regular apk, did you switch to the purple passion one in themes. no need to restart .
Been a looooong day for me, it was the battery icons I tried that wouldn't boot. Slap to my head for that.
Haha i understand. Before i cooked up my own battery mod i tried a battery mod from other there toooo . I got stuck at the boot screen too . i almost panicked because i didnt make a nanroid . i had to adb push the files through recovery to fix it. Sensation Battery mod = Bad . If you want i could always use UOT to make the battery mod you wanted from there . thats all they are anyway.
I got one that's the circle with digital but the numbers are blue and it's not easy to see. I was looking for one with white letters and that's how I got stuck trying a few. The one called revolution was the one I wanted but, nope.

I have also updated the browser, calculator, calendar, camera, contacts (people), dialer, mail, messages, settings and clock icons to ICS stock. I will give to electronicrice to possibly include in his next release.

THE UNPOLISHED ULTIMATE REAL ICON THEME FOR NEWT'S NOS M7 SENSE 5 v3.0.7
This is just a couple of days of me removing icons that aren't relative to SENSE 5 and resizing, renaming, and redelegating icons. It is UNPOLISHED and IMPERFECT (so not JBeitel's usual work), but I will be adding things and such. feel free to let me know what I miss beyond the obvious and I will do my best to update it as soon as possible. Unlike JBeitel's installation process, it does not use the Aroma installer so for now you are stuck with what I like.... sorry. I got the creators permission to post what I had so maybe some users will like some of it as opposed to all the simple flat SENSE 5 icons. Try is out and don't forget to nandroid in case you don't like it

@low- Hey man. I just installed this and want you to know it's much appreciated. It's not the status bar icons I choose with RIT, but it's certainly MUCH better than default. Kudos to your efforts, bro. You've inspired me to learn about the Aroma installer to help you.

Is there something wrong with the dropbox file? Everytime I go to download it, it takes me to screen like it's going to download it only to change to a page saying it can't file the file. Any ideas?

This is what I get with both my mobile browsers. Not at a laptop right now
Edit: Worked just fine from my laptop
Had the same mobile browser error. Hit the download button fast enough to get it though. Installed fc'ed once then booted fine. Love the icons. This is what I want my phone to look like. However the quick setting are still light and the play store is also. Maybe I read wrong but I thought those should be dark themed after install? Thanks for adding to my flashing enjoyment.

What about the notifications? Did you theme it?
Oh and for the switch in the settings, I think it is a kind of yellow buttons or something like that on Android L. Otherwise, good job.
Just tested on my Moto X. What's not working:
- Settings Panel partially themed (background is still black, not gray like the image)
- Navigation Bar wasn't themed with the new L buttons.
- Status bar icons weren't themed either.
- Calculator wasn't themed as well.
- Whatsapp isn't themed.
- Everything else seems to have worked just fine, I'll update this post as I find more.
The only difference I'm seeing on my Nexus 5 (Stock 4.4.4) is the blue action bar in Settings and the wallpaper/boot animation.
it seems the app is applying the boot animation without even ticking the checkbox for it from within the app , and even after disabling it / uninstalling the app , i still have the Android L boot animation. this makes me wonder if other system files have been also changed which is quite troublesome since it means it's gonna break any future ota updates and will force me to sideload such updates.
can you add a revert/restore feature , or at least give us some info on what exactly is being changed/overwritten with this app.

I understand your problems.. I use CyanogenMod, I have themed everything based on the files present in it. I haven't made changes in my code for the Module to continue theming if it doesn't find what it has to on your phone.. I cannot make out which file is causing it! If you can attach your Xposed Logs(Xposed Installer -> Logs -> Menu Button-> Save to SD), it would be great [emoji4]

Maybe problem with my code [emoji20].. You can find whatever is modded backed up in your /sdcard/AndroidLTheme/backup folder..

Doesn't work for me properly. Only boot animation, wallpaper and navigation bar worked. The settings didn't though. Possible some issue with CM11 theme override? Anyone also experiencing it? Or is it the custom ROM I use that gives problems?
not working for me :/ only the setting & xposed display changed. i'm on n5 4.4.4 stock rom + GB. tried to disable the gb and it's not working too

Confirmed working on HTC M8 GPE skydragon. Also seems to play nice with Tinted Status Bar module(amongst others). Thanks, now titanium backup and root explorer look colorful!

Now it works well! Except that calculator now looks a bit weird (not like before installing this theme, but not like in Android L ), but I don't really mind that. Of course, fix would be welcome .
