So, i installed the vengeance kernel, booted the phone, then flashed the memory tweaks, and lost everything the vengeance kernel gave me, even the CWM... Is it possible to have a kernel of my choice(overclocked preferably) and the memory tweaks from munjeni?

i have the same question!!
im on Vengeance kernel 1.25 and eXperience rom v2.1 and i tried to flash Munjeni's Memory tweaks...but instead ,i flashed his whole kernel too!!!
i guess all this was inside the zip file!
anyway...rebooted in recovery and brought back my back up.
Still....the question remains...Is it possible?

Same was answered by one xda member itachilinux but the answer was with respect to vengeance kernel 1.24

The flash zip by Munjeni installs both Memtweaks as well as Kernel
2 ways to go abt it
1)Flash Munjeni's zip to get Memtweaks and KSM. Then flash Vengeance Kernel
2) Just grab the scripts for KSM and the cron script from Munjeni's zip and add them manually along with Vengeance kernel

BRICK BRICK" WITHOUT WAITING FOR 45 SEC AFTER PRESSING BACK BUTTON"
Similarly for without menu version, booting to doom's touch recovery
takes almost 1 minute. (Cwm5 and xrec boots instantly, without

Q. Who would benefit from this?
Those who want to stick to stock kernel for Official ICS (4.1.A.0.562), but would still want to get the benefits of init.d scripts, and native root access!
I personally feel ICS stock kernel is more battery friendly than Night-elf RC2 kernel.

Q. How to install?
Just as you install a custom kernel.
If no wifi, just delete "modules_version" and "modules_reversion" in "/system/lib/modules" and reboot
Steps:
1. Follow this guide to install official ICS + root
(Do not install CWM)
2. If you already have DooMLoRD/nAa CWM, go to /system/bin with any root explorer and delete recovery.tar and chargemon
3. Power down device and get into FASTBOOT MODE -> switch off device hold menu key & plugin usb. (LED notification turns BLUE)
4. check fastboot with "fastboot devices"
5. flash boot image
fastboot flash boot boot.img
6. Reboot with "fastboot reboot"
7. Enjoy!

Battery is a bit issue on all ICS rom. But I almost get 80% off that in GB. 100% battery runs almost 1d 12hr+.
Currently on nightelf kernel. Will give the stock kernel a shot. Will report in a week.

The latest ICS kernel source has not been released by Sony.. only then we can use the latest.
But till then, we can use Night-Elf kernel for OC..
I may make a stock wifi restore patch for Night-elf kernel, for those who want to try stock kernel after being on Night-elf

go to wifi settings, press menu, click advanced, then choose wifi sleep policy.

I used KRsH kernel v2 and v3 which both allow overclocking upto 2GHz. They are very good in terms of stability too. But if you want lesser battery drain, try v2

You should also update your updater script
If i recall correctly, I read somewhere that you can flash kernels via cwm for p/sola/u. I did make the updaterscript to flash it that way.
If i'm wrong, please flash with flashtool. or use: fastboot flash boot boot.img

Lol maybe thats because i borrowed that meta-inf as i didnt know the command and partition for xperia devices. (via cwm).
Cm version sure. but before that just gonna be testing some experimental changes on ics from the xperia 2011 device sources. if they work great then..

Both kernels have their own plus points
This kernel supports oc (as said in op) where as sliding kernel keeps device "safe" by not featuring oc
Both are built on latest kernel sources from sony... And both have different developers
i flashed this kernel via cwm but problem is that i can't connect mount my memory card .. via sd mounter app xperia u

I would like to ask for help. Could somenoe explain to me what to do for overclock GPU? Which module is necessary to edit and how? I thinks that pvrsrvkm_sgx540_120.ko must be edited. I use MINEBEAN rom which is stock V20P deodexed and with CPU overclock modules. It's possible copy modules from another ROM which have edited modules for GPU? I understood how works script for CPU overclock. INSMOD load modules cpu_control.ko for overclocking CPU and over ECHO I´m able change freq a voltage table in file tweak_cpu . Does it works similar for GPU???

you must install a custom kernel to do this...
Artas' experiencedkernel works great and it has gpu oc'd. As I remember GTA SA ran well with highest settings (except dynamic shadows).

Arta's Experienced kernel works only with some basend. NOT working with V20O,I,P ! It's necessary to use same baseband as used Arta's for compiling his kernel. I want use version V20P with OC CPU and GPU. For this reason i need compile new module for version V20P. I would like to know which files have to be edited,that's all I need. It isn't problem editing source code and compiling moédule files, but have to know which files are relevant for GPU.

I simply flashed v20h rom over v20p baseband, and then Artas' kernel, it worked perfectly

I have tried yesterday flash stock V20H. Flash-full wipe and format-install recovery TWRP - flash Experienced KERNELv02 - wipe dalvik cache - reboot and what I have got??? kernel panic....same song about kernel panic...V20H baseband and Arta's kernel doesn't work properly on my P760.

turn off smartreflex in trickster mod, don't forget to set it on boot.

I'm not able to turn off smartreflex,because phone doesn't boot to the system. I got kernel panic before installing trickster mode. Hmmmmm...I'll download source code from LG and I'll try edit drivers for SGX520 at the weekend.
