[Q] Possibly a stupid question... - HTC One X+

Hi, long time browser here.
I've just flashed a One X with the IceColdJelly rom and I was wondering if it's compatable with the One X+?
I know it may be a stupid question, but from what I've read there doesn't seem to be much difference except the clock speed and bigger battery. I'm just wondering if it'll work because Sensation XE roms work on the normal Sensation and vice versa.
This is the rom : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1796340
Thanks!

why not HTC One V, it has similar but better hardware and ICS 4.0.
most important, it is cheap.

Cyanogen Mod 9?
In answer to your question yes ICS is available for the desire S in the form of Cyanogen Mod 9.
Whilst I know other roms are available such as Ice Cold Sandwich they all appear to be at least loosely based on CM9.
Although it is described as alpha I have installed it on both my desire s as well as a friends and it works without issue on both devices perfectly all of the hardware is now functional with the exception of the FM radio but there are plenty of online radio apps, or you could just use the MP3 player.
The only small issue you may encounter were problems with games such as temple run although this has been fixed in the latest release (09/05/2012)
I have owned the desire s for just under a year now, it is my first android phone but from experience of viewing friends phones it is still one of the superior android devices on the market. Whilst it does not have the dual core processor or huge amounts of ram of the current flagship phones there is a large community behind the device as there is the desire HD and Z. Therefore there are regular roms available for it. On another note in terms of the phones power, I have not found a single app or game my phone cannot run well including full 3d games such as the pocket version of Minecraft.
In terms of battery life after a year of use I can still manage about 2 days with sparing use and a sense based rom or a whole day with heavy use on a sense rom.
With the new CM9 I am managing 2 days of medium to heavy use and 4 days of sparing use. I believe this is due to the lack of the sense ui.
If you have any other questions feel free to ask.

Alter NAND to boot ANDROID

Hope to start and gather supporters for Android on our Titan
First off $30 via paypal.
Just like MAGLDR on the HTC HD2.:fingers-crossed::silly:
I doubt this will work, but hey, why not? I'm in too!
Is it possible to run android on TITAN ?
I hope this NEVER WORKS.

more option for our Titan is always better, right?
Guys, have you ever compared the spec of titan 1 with sensation xl, they are same except the Ram size. noob question is: did you try to flash sensation xl android official rom on your titan 1?
No, "more option for our Titan" not better, or even good, if the option in question is Android.
The Titan is a Windows Phone. It does not -- should not -- be running Android.

I have both XL and Titan - purchased them nearly after each other. First was XL, then Titan. XL sits in my drawer and I use its battery as spare in case I need for Titan.
I thought there were issues with bootloaders and nand, no?
Hence we can't just have XL ROMs on Titan - that was my understanding.

so, we need a special bootloader which can flash android and wp rom.
WP 7.8 & Android 4.0/4.1
Isn't it better to port windows phone 7.8 first to the titan, and then concentrate on android?

HTC One X+ vs One XL+ ?

According to phonearena.com, One XL+ indeed has the same spec as One X+ except the Qualcomm MSM 8925M LTE module is built in with Tegra3.
So I want to ask, can ROM of One X+ be dumped to One XL+ flawlessly? If not, can the moderator create one more forum for HTC One XL+?

Based on what I can see on these two links, it looks like you're up the right alley. I can't spot a difference other than that chip and memory size. Everything looks the same save for some hardware differences (colour and mass) but that's irrelevant to porting.
I'd say give it a whirl
EDIT: keep in mind, one is an nVidia chipset, the other is Qualcomm. (I think) You probably just have to do some gypsy magic in order to get them working. It would be like porting a One XL rom to an One S, but having the same features and display I guess.
EDIT 2: I miss read the OP and looked up One XL, not One XL+. I'm a goof, move along, these aren't the droids you're looking for
Might be that the only difference between the two is the radio/RIL.
Hopefully it would just be a matter of loosing cellular connection and fix might just be a simple .zip to flash with the right radio files/framework.
That would be just short of universal roms... Unless the creator of the rom uses the installer to give the user the option of HSPA+ or LTE.
I believe that the Qualcomm radio is additional with the original radio in the One X+. So, i guess it would work, but without LTE capabilities.

No, the MDM radio would replace the Intel XMM baseband for LTE models.

[Q] Port of HTC One X ROMs on HTC One X+

Hello,
silly question but I will try. How is it with the compatibility of HTC One X roms with HTC One X+ hw? I know it is different HW so it will definitely not work. But how hard is to do some port of HOX rom for HOX+? I see lots of cool looking roms for X but X+ is still having lack of development in here. I really want to see latest MIUI, CM10.1 RC3 etc. on my phone
Thank you.

heh CM10.1 for the X+ is currently under going official....and is currently RC1 but hey why not just open your eyes and see, or instead of complaining about lack of development HELP OUT, there's 3 devs for AOSP based rom's yes THREE...threads like this drive me insane and is pretty much a slap in the face to myself, max and tom
I would like to help out. That is the reason why I am asking about how hard is to port HOX rom to HOX+ rom. I saw some tutorial on the Android Development general thread so I can give it a try.
Don't get angry so fast
