Cherry pick list
* CyanogenMod's latest merges: http://review.cyanogenmod.org/#/q/status:merged+branch:cm-11.0,n,z
* CyanogenMod's Github: http://github.com/cyanogenmod
This is a kang of CM11 with cherry picks from CyanogenMod’s Gerrit Instance, compiled by a group of volunteers that enjoy learning about and building CyanogenMod and Android in general. All credit goes to cyanogen, #teamdouche and the coders who submit to Gerrit. Thank you to @RyanMacG for providing Euroskank hosting.
These builds are bleeding-edge, most comparable to a nightly build, and are not meant for inexperienced users. Things will be broken and crash from time to time, you need to accept that this isn't stable by any means before flashing. Nandroid as often as possible.
How to post useful, informative bug reports:
Sometimes dev's actually check out our threads, or sometimes we have a good relationship with a dev or two. These bleeding-edge builds will have issues, and having good information on what's broken is great feedback before a feature is merged. Here are some good bug reporting tips:
* No bug reports while using custom kernels or add-ons:
CyangenMod's own bug reporting tool does not accept bug reports from people using non-stock kernels for a reason, so why should we? CM can merge changes to their kernel causing custom kernels to break things until they catch up. Therefore, please do not post any bug reports while using a custom kernel or add-on such as Xposed Framework. Post your issues with custom kernels in their own respective threads as they are the ones who need to play catch up. Any bug report posted in this thread should be while running CM's stock framework and kernel, as this prevents unnecessary clutter.
* Gapps are not a CM issue:
CyanogenMod is built to run without the assistance of Google's proprietary apps (gapps). Having issues with your Google account and syncing is a gapps issue, not a CM issue. Please do not post about any gapps related issues, just wipe data and try a different gapps package.
* Posting about the same bug every build:
Beating a dead horse with "bug X still isn't fixed" posts just adds unnecessary clutter and provides no help into actually fixing the issue. Some bugs take days to squash, some take weeks. Please don't report the same bug every time a build is uploaded.
* Logs:
Provide logcats when applicable. Use a service like Pastebin and put a link to the log in the post. Please do not post logs directly to the forum.
If these requests are too demanding, there's good news! CyanogenMod is open source, so please feel free to download the source code, compile your own builds volunteering your time and resources, then start a thread and run it however you see fit. All we simply ask is that people post good, reliable information that can be passed on to a developer that can actually do something with it, making CM a better product for everyone involved.

Glad to see a familiar face.
Thanx for putting three builds together. I've ran jellybro for long time now,on and off. Always solid.

Glad to do it :highfive:

Lol, this is great. If you go look at the Jellybro thread over at rootzwiki, I'm the only one that has ever left a reply. It was getting lonely over there!

Can't wait to see where things go once cm starts merging all of the Google addition stuff. Thinking about flashing a Google edition ROM from the international forum just to check it out. Especially interested in the camera. Have you checked any out yet, gearhead?

It works as long as you haven't flashed a stock sense 4.2.2 ROM, or at least that is what I've read. It works for me.

I haven't seen anything yet, but you'd have to assume it's working in the Google edition, so cm can't be too far off, right?

[Work in Progress] [PORT] Carbon ROM - Jellybean 4.2.2

CarbonRom is an aftermarket firmware based on the Android Open Source Project. The team is composed of former members of Team Liquid who have forked the code in an attempt to bring greater speed, better coding, and full authorship to code. We are in no way affiliated with Liquid0624. The rom was forked at Liquid beta 3.2.1 and has since undergone major code changes and modifications.
We are dedicated to fast, stable, and feature-filled roms, honesty and communication with our users, and openness with our code. We like frequent builds, with the very latest and greatest hardware support and fixes. We strive to not only provide you with the best rom we can build, but also to give back to the Android community and our fellow developers. For us, this is about creating something we can be proud of and hope you will enjoy.
Please feel free to look at, build, and use our code on CarbonDev GitHub.
We would like to thank CyanogenMod for their device trees, framework/settings mods and their code that was incorporated into this project. We also extend our gratitude to the devs whose code that we have incorporated. Proper authorship has been maintained and can be viewed on our repository.
Special thanks also go to Slim Rom for some of their features, AOKP, and anyone else we may have borrowed commits from that hasn't been mentioned here. If you feel you have been unfairly left out, please - let us know.
While we make every effort to test these builds as much as possible, we are not responsible for anything that may happen to your device, family, pets, or perception of reality. We ask that you do your part to know your device and know how to recover from problems before you flash! If you have questions, ask your fellow users or ask us in #teamcarbon on freenode IRC.

Okay... So the last couple of days I've been working on porting Carbon ROM... got a little held up with Mobile data.. finally that's fixed.
I'd say it's very functional at this point. Now, there's going to be bugs.. as it's a definite work in progress... consider it an alpha. In the last couple of hours I've managed to fix the majority of the bugs I was finding... so let's see where this can actually go.
I want you to know guys, this wasn't too bad... because Sportsstar has worked his butt off getting us CM10 and CM10.1. This wouldn't be at all possible without him and the rest of the CM Amaze team, and I'd like everyone to know that I'm simply standing on the shoulders of giants.
All credit goes to the CarbonROM team and the Amaze CM maintainers. I simply stitched them together. If this port works out decently, I'll try to bring over other popular ROMs as well. PLEASE BE AWARE THIS IS A VERY EARLY ALPHA AND YOU WILL MORE THAN LIKELY ENCOUNTER BUGS. I literally started this port a couple days ago, so I haven't had anywhere near the amount of time to comb through it completely. The kernel that's included is CM's 10.1 kernel which has been slightly modified to be insecure, as well as have Secure ADB disabled. This was for bug-testing purposes (logcat during boot, mainly)... and I actually prefer it this way... You're more than welcome to flash the regular CM10.1 kernel if you want to..
GAPPS ARE INCLUDED.
WORKING:
GSM
WiFi
Mobile Data
GPS
sdcard1/sdcard0 should now mount properly.
I think I have fixed all of the CarbonROM options.. but you'll have to let me know.. they all seem to be working.
NOT WORKING:
Bluetooth - Fixed, pairing fine with my Nexus 7 at least. (Not moving up to WORKING until I get multiple confirms)
WiFi Tether - Fixed, tested w/ Nexus 7 as well... (Not moving to WORKING until I get multiple confirms)
Camera is a little buggy right now.. When you take a picture, it will appear to have frozen.. if you click the little circle to get the settings menu to come up, then switch the "Use external storage" either on/off... it will start working again... I will try to get it fixed ASAP. Also video recording/playback is a bit wonky with the included gallery app.. Probably will end up switching it out, but I'd really hate to do that considering how awesome the gallery is One of the best I've used.
You tell me?
PROBLEMS INSTALLING TITANIUM BACKUP/WIFI
See my post here. Even if you haven't attempted to install Titanium Backup yet, you might want to do this anyways.. simply so you don't have problems down the line. I also expand a bit on WiFi, which works great.. just a little finnicky to find connections sometimes but it always will.

hmm so according to the post the only known bug to him is the camera? im going to take a look at this :good:
everything worked out rom is smooth. data is working perfect and will check the bluetooth once i go to my car. wifi is giving me some issues. when i disconnect it and reconnect it says my network is not in range so i have to turn it on and off couple times but it works after that. if i run in to anything else will report here. external sd card does not connect to computer only internal does.
everything is working really smooth, so far rom is awesome. thanks alot for your awesome work.

after reading your post i tried it and it's not working. the volume can't be adjusted. btw bluetooth streaming works not sure about the calls over bluetooth though.
didnt really work out for me, anyone have any advice? the built-in usb/wifi/or bluetooth tethering didnt work. data, gps, wifi, camera and all is a go. but i couldn't install any apps through the play store or through downloaded apk's-the app is either simply "not installed" or "unknown error code during application install -24" and I've tried the suggested methods to solve that issue but they didn't help. I did a clean wipe before and then flashed on a fully charged amaze. thanks for the great work on the rom and much appreciated
Battery Life Not FRIENDLY (kindda bad),

Hmm, I've actually been kind of impressed with battery life in general.. now the base for the rom is CM10.1 so I'd expect similar if not the same battery life. Not going to be anywhere near ICS/Faux kernel levels. But personally I seem to have perfectly functioning deep sleep (in battery status, the 'awake' bar) which seems to be the biggest motivator of battery life.
When you say Sim Card unable to mount, what do you mean exactly? SD Card maybe? There was major SD card mounting issues when I first started porting it over, because of the config options in the framework-res. I believe I fixed them, but please let me know because I personally have no problem with both internal and external SD card being mounted and recognized now. The only thing I can think of is I didn't change the config option for "removeable" so it tells you it's "Safe to remove SD Card" when you power off.

try this, i am using 4ext recovery.
1. go to recovery
2. wipe/ factory reset.
3. wipe cache and delvik
4. wipe dalvik cache
5. wipe battery stats
6. format system
7. format boot
8. install the rom
i did all those steps just to make sure i have a clean install and i am not having any problem with google play. i don't know about teathering, since i don't ave any way to find that out but one thing i did find is that when you connect to computer external sd card does not connect to pc only internal sd does.

nice
Awesome been waiting for this but have few queries - did you source built it?, if so, wgere did you find deatharrow's sources from also why wouldn't 2g work if 3g does?
Great work though, just a bit curious
This smells fishy. The first screenshot is not our res, the second is too small and the third is taken from the original thread. All of this + that the download link doesn't actually work. Again, fishy.
lol
Sorry but the I can't upload anything to google drive's server (I don't know why maybe is my internet connection.....):banghead:
Yes we'll continue the develop, we have just started, In the next days we will fix more things... Please, don't copy this ROM, without our written permission, and don't change the names of the developers, we have worked very hard, (<-he is sleeping with the sunglasses) so we fixed some thing, now the most important bug is the bluethoot, the 2g don't work (only with wind, an Italian mobile operator, 2g works well), and you can't use the WiFi with the 3g turn on....
I hope that these bug are fixed easily....
For now, we don't want any tester or developers, that want to help us (I can't tell you why). We're in 3, we're Italian, and we have worked to made the cyanoid ROM (e400), and from some weeks we've worked on the cm10. Please don't ask the zip now, if the Google's server return working I'll upload the ROM, but I don't know when we're going to relase . I hope that this post have clarify your doubts.
We don't ask you to donate, or we don't want thanks, but I ask you only 3 thing.. OK?
Hope
Pray for us
Wait
Don't spam this therad....
PS (I want to tell you that I'm not THE developer, but I'm ONE of the 3 developers, but one of us isn't on xda...)

Well good to hear that its not for thanks/donations btw some light on how you actually managed to fix i mean what patches used if it were source built and kernel sources if any changes were made would help us understand stuff better and who knows maybe others could fix bugs you can't. You don't need to take anyone into your team or give permissions for others to tamper your work but least you can shed some insights on what was actually done since this is an aosp rom

Thanks for your appreciation, but if you see another cm 10 ROM, it's the ours or it's a fake, because we have seen someone downloading a zip that we were sharing together, (we use goo.gl and mediafire and we know what happened to our files, because we see how many people have used that link).... ,maybe someone have used filecrop.com and searching cm 10 e400 or something else it have download it. The ip is american.. But we don't knows what's happened, maybe anything.. we're human and we like the Linux's philosophy helps together to be perfect (but for now the Dev team isn't open to anyone for some serious reasons)

What is Evervolv?
Evervolv is an AOSP (Android Open Source Project) rom. We're fully open sourced and encourage it with no restrictions. The work put into this rom is community driven and and Evervolv Project is made up of numerous members and contributors.
Right now the current source we are working on is Jellybean (Android 4.3.x).
Current version: 3.3.0p1
Nightlies (starting 8.28.2013) available for testing. Once issues are re mediated, a release build will be posted.
Pre-Requisites:
1. TWRP or equivalent recovery.
2. S-Off, or thorough understanding of how you work around S-On to get the kernel included in this ROM flashed. FAUX, CM kernels are not compatible and will result in functionality issues if it boots at all.
3. Desire to be helpful in an appropriate manner. Logcats, dmesgs, etc are very helpful, and necessary to assist.
NOTE: HTC ICS based roms - Android 4.0x are the last ROMs that can be considered bug free. AOSP for the Amaze was never released by HTC. Development only exists in this community. There will be nuances and quirks that would not be there with OEM roms. Adjust your expectations accordingly.
Downloads:
http://evervolv.com/devices/ruby
This requires gapps for 4.3, do not use 4.2 gapps.
Code:
Items that need attention: (buggy)
Confirmed: (11.10.2013)
- 1080p recording not working on camcorder.
- Built in tethering broken. TI has not updated their code to match 4.3 Android. Use android-wifi-tether instead - verified its working on mine with this app ==> http://code.google.com/p/android-wifi-tether/
- [Dialer Menu Option - Dialpad Settings] visible in menu, but 4.3 builds are absent code to utilize it.
- Audio Echo on calls - not happening to everyone, but some have noted it. It has been an issue for 8660 devices since the first jellybean release to aosp-based ROMs.
- fm radio works, but sadly apps such as SpiritFM no longer work correctly with it. If you find a replacement app, or know of a version that works, give it a shout out.

Want to help?
Your assistance is greatly appreciated. Finding issues, providing logs are a great way to enrich the experience for this ROM and others. Going to the next level, by researching, and providing fix ideas will put you on the road to greater contributions in the future.
The Evervolv Toolbox has a feature introduced in 4.3. Look in system settings, Evervolv Toolbox, under "Debug." It allows you to gather logs and submit them to the team.
You can also submit logs separately in this thread. There are apps in the Playstore that make log collection a snap. Additionally, there is the adb method, which you can look up. After you gather the log file, please upload (copy/paste) to pastebin, and post the link in the forum. It's the easiest method.
FAQ -
1. Q: I'm S-On. How do I know if the kernel flashed correctly?
A: In Device Settings, look for About Phone, and Kernel version. You should see [email protected] somewhere the desciption.
2. Q: I don't get automatic update notices?
A: Additional features in Evervolv were designed to work with TWRP. Make sure you have the latest version.
3. Q: I miss some of the features of CM/Slim/AOKP. Can I get those in Evervolv? A: Just try the Xposed framework, or Gravity Box to add features you miss.

I hope we get that ION kernel soon we all need it badly. I'm also thinking of porting MIUI but I'm bringing my rom(s) too their full potential.

I know that Nick, who's working on it for us has gone thru more than 20 iterations so far, and is still plugging along. Soon I hope.
I reviewed the code yesterday, and I'm excited. We'll have similar kernel code to our sister devices, and that will help a lot for other things like tweaking the kernel, etc. The upside for the Amaze community is substantial.

Hmm... I'll have to load the app up and try it. There is nothing out there really about incompatibilities with 4.3 and dolphin other than java doesn't seem to play well with it on more recent (4.1 and newer) android versions.
Was this working on the 4.2.2 version of Evervolv?

So I just installed it from Google play store and cruised to Google.com, then to Xda here without issue.
You should clear the apps cache, and if that doesn't resolve it, clear its data too.

Well damn. It figures that the day Jeepers posts his Evervolv build on XDA, my new Galaxy S4 would arrive in the mail. Now I kinda wish I had stuck around for a bit longer. It looks awesome. Oh well. It's been fun, and I've definitely learned quite a bit from fighting with CM10 and 10.1. Too bad I never got to try Evervolv.
Btw, anyone want to buy an Amaze? It's only been dropped in the sink once! I buried it in rice immediately after and left it there for 3 days, and thankfully everything still works, though it reboots every 5 minutes. Still haven't figured out why (it might just be the old KAIOKEN Rom that I had on it which might be the first one SuperAfnan posted, it was always kinda buggy). It's not network unlocked, but I'm going to call T-Mob up tomorrow to see if they'll unlock it now that I have an S4. It is S-Off and has an unlocked bootloader.
Sorry for threadjacking, I'll go away now. Good luck with the future Amaze development, I'll probably still lurk from time to time.

About Us:
Dirty Unicorns is a project that started out with no name. It was a project that was first based off AOKP back in the early days of Jelly Bean. In the early days it was just a one man show on one device, the EVO 3D. Since then, many others have joined the project and it has grown exponentially.
We have seen a lot of talent contribute to this project of ours. Big or small, the focus was always on contributing to the community. That is ultimately why we do what we do. After Jelly Bean, we decided to move to a new base, OmniROM. While AOKP was fun, OmniROM proved to be even more exciting base because it challenged us to see what we could do with a project that had different goals in mind. We learned a lot and again, gain contributors. With Lollipop, we moved to an AOSP base with a lot of patches from CAF to make our older devices function as they should. We grew even more and learned a whole lot more.
It has been an awesome learning experience and is still not over! We are still learning every day and continue to move forward. Lastly, we DO NOT accept, nor ask, for donations. We don't believe in that. Everything that is necessary to keep this project going is out of our own pocket. Gerrit, Jenkins, Websites, Devices, etc. We will never ask for a dime. All we do ask, is that you have patience, search, read and try to enjoy the process with us!!

I'm getting a FC from the theme chooser, what gives?
This is due to restoring data/apps from Google. Go ahead and clear data and cache for theme chooser and theme provider then reboot you should be good moving forward.
I changed my LCD density and now the navbar looks weird, what gives?
This is currenly an issue that we are aware of and addressing. For now after you changed density reset navbar layout or stay on the stock density.

Just use banks. Don't get me wrong, I love and support TBO and buy djdarkknight's themes but in the past they've been slow to update their gapps and because they are themed apks they don't update like normal. PA gapps are a total joke since they stopped being updated realistically after kitkat so again, I advice you always use banks. Banks updates the gapps zip frequently and because they aren't themed they update by Google without issue. Also, Banks are very minimal. It has all the core Google frameworks and whatnot with zero bloat yet includes the necessary vendor files for faceunlock (if you've used Santos's gpe you know these need to be manually added.) But, to each his own and it's up to you to decide what to flash.
Also for anyone wondering, this ROM is pretty solid and sweet and I would use it as a daily, but unfortunately my 360 won't connect to hotspot although my tablet and laptop will just like other ROMs (at random) cm works so I'm stuck with it. For real though, if you're lurking and have yet to flash it you're really missing out.

Running fast and smooth on the old DNA, only thing that seems to be a problem is with SMS- I can get one text message to send, but anything after that fails to send until I reboot or toggle airplane mode off and back on. Any thoughts?

I haven't pushed to official release yet. What DU have over the other marshmallow builds is working data. Facebook is not working out of the box, but delete libsslx.so from the Facebook data folders and it'll work. Bluetooth and some video codecs aren't working yet. I'm working on it though.

Official Marshmallow Dirty Unicorns for the Droid DNA is released!
Link in OP.
Data, texting, bluetooth, camera, YouTubes, etc.; Works!
What doesn't work? I dunno, let me know.
If you use facebook, either use a third party app like SlimSocial. Or you could delete or rename the libsslx.so files located in /data/data/com.facebook.katana/lib-xyz/ for the facebook app and /data/data/com.facebook.orca/lib-xyz/ for facebook messenger, and it'll work pretty good.

vey good. now improved a lot.
except this.
You can't post battery stats with less than a day use of rom, have some respect for the Developer, the Rom is not fully stable yet and a lot of kinks need to be worked out, if you want a stable rom, go for a nougat rom, if you want to Oreo, be happy with what you are getting at this stage and stop whining
Thanks to Frankie for this excellent work!
Everything works very good - GBoard as well.
I only have one question: I want to decompile the SystemUI.apk to translate the settings (String) to german.
apktool.jar (2.2.4) doesn't work - smali folder won't extract so recompiling doesn't work as well.
Does someone know how to decompile/recompile the system apps from this ROM?
Thanks in advance!

I'm not posting about overall battery life. It's a kernel wakelock problem, it's not going to go away on its own. It's a bug that the dev may or may not know about. He wouldn't have made a thread if he didn't want bug reports. So quit YOUR whining

If I need to provide more info, please share.. I am on Verizon latest radio and bootloader, latest TWRP. Flashed ROM, BusyBox, and Magisk.
EDIT: I understand the ROM is new and appreciate the hard work if the developer. Helping out best I can.

It's all about context and tone. Some "bug reports" come across as entitled whining, or outright complaints with no respect for the developer or the work that's been invested.
For anyone looking for busybox, this is a direct link on XDA. https://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=4252596&d=1503713259 It covers Busybox version 1.2.7 and is Magisk 14 compatible.
Here's what should be done for all you noobs. If there is a bug and u want to report it, attach a logcat. Otherwise how will they see the error being replicated?
I will capture a logcat of the 5 GHz wifi when I get home.
i was able to solve the BT battery problem by disabling instant tethering under settings ->google->instant tenthering
