Hi folks! I found brand new T-Mobile HTC One for sale. The guy only wants 600 leva (about 350-400$) or HTC One X + 100 leva (about 70$). I want to know is there a big difference between both international and T-Mobile HTC Ones? I check in T-Mobile site and there it shows that it works on 850/900/1800/1900/2100 MHz but on htc`s site it shows that it works only on 850/1800/1900 MHz. In Bulgaria most common 3G is on 900 MHz. Will there be a big problem with network? And can I flash ROM`s from international forum? What could possibly happen if I flash ROM from there?

None that Im aware of.
Tmobile has more frequency than the international version. More freq the better.

T-Mobile: Has the Tmobile Radios, not unlocked 32GB
International: Doesn't have Tmobile HSPA+ Radios so you'll need to be in 4g LTE Range to get those speeds, comes unlocked, 64GB
I was also researching between the two. Getting the Dev would have been cheaper and had more space but the radios were the biggest problem for me. I wanted to make sure I had the best possible signal.

Take a look at the specs:

You don't say if your T-Mobile One is from Europe or the US. The US T-Mobile model does not support 900 HSPA. T-Mobile Europe will support that. The international model has different radios.
For those that replied, the Developer edition is a hardware copy of the US ATT version, which also does not support 900 high speed data.

Yes, I believe that is correct. I was worried because you didn't state it was a European T-Mobile model. T-Mobile is the only one that has both a US and European model - and both are different.
I have an unlocked T-Mobile and use it on ST AT&T. Never seem to need this "missing" 900mHz band. Why would I need it again? I had full service from UT to NV (the desert). 4G most of the way, too.
Genuinely curious as it works perfectly everywhere on AT&T's service.
Isn't 900 being phased out?

Hi friend..
well as i can read on Wikip.edia, Telus and Bell Mobility work on HSPA 850 & 1900 MHz. At&T, work on HSPA 850 & 1900 MHz and also on GSM 850 & 1900 MHz.
In the specifications of Mozart by HTC site you can see:
HSPA/WCDMA: 900/2100 MHz
GSM: 850/900/1800/1900 MHz
so i think Mozart can work good only on AT&T that have GSM protocol.... but i saw also on Canadian HTC site and i found that HCT provide HTC Surround branded Telus... i search for specifications and i see:
UMTS/HSPA – 850/1900/2100Mhz
Quad-band GSM/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900Mhz
..practically the same!
I cannot try that cause im in Italy... but i think it work good too.

I have the HTC Radar 4G on T-Mobile. Once I unlock it and use it on At&T, it will definitely do calls, but will it pick up 3G or 4G on the AT&T network? I asked HTC and they were unsure. Thanks!

AT&T uses 850 MHz / 1900 MHz for GSM/GPRS/EDGE and the same two frequencies (850 / 1900) for UMTS/HSPA (their 3G/4G service).
T-Mobile uses the same frequencies (850 / 1900) for GSM/GPRS/EDGE, but uses 2100 MHz and 1700 MHz for UMTS/HSPA/AWS (their 3G / 4G network).
If you want to know what phones will work where, compare the frequencies they receive with those of the carrier you want to use.
In the case of the Radar, it uses the following frequencies
GSM/GPRS/EDGE: 850 MHz; 900 MHz; 1800 MHz; 1900 MHz
UMTS/HSPA: 1700 MHz; 2100 MHz
So, for GSM phone calls and data you have a match with AT&T (and, of course with T-Mobile). 3G / 4G is a different story. The Radar has the T-Mobile 3G/4g bands, but not the bands for high-speed data on AT&T.
So, if you are happy just making phone calls and using EDGE data, then you can use the phone on AT&T. If you want 3G /4G as well you have to stick with T-Mobile.

I finally was able to get the h2O SIM card (AT&T service) and surprisingly it picks up 3G! I definitely notice the difference from when it goes from 2G up to the 3G speeds

Interesting! I took my specs from the T-Mobile page which omits the UMTS 850/1900 band. Thanks for the correction.
The box clearly states GSM 850/900/1900/2100 AND HSPA/UMTS: 1700/1900/2100
AWS 1700 = T-Mobile, Wind, Mobilicity
UMTS 1900 = AT&T (although they use 850 extensively too), Rogers, Telus, etc
UMTS 2100 = Asia/Europe
My Radar picks up AT&T 3G. Not sure if UMTS 1900 band will be omnipresent on AT&T as a lot have been extended with HSPA 850 as well.
So, whereever you find UMTS 1900, you'll definitely catch AT&T 3G

I've been investigating this. FCC documentation suggests that the HTC One for T-Mobile is certified for LTE Band 17 (AT&T).
I've unlocked the handset, but I'm only able to access AT&T's HSPA+ network.
Out of the box, the HTC One for T-Mobile doesn't support AT&T LTE.
If there is latent support, I reckon that you'd need to flash AT&T's radio to the device.

the tmobile ONE supports tmobile/att hspa and lte for both carriers. The att ONE supports lte for both but only att hspa and only tmobils 1900 hspa.

My friend has the T-mobile One and I have the AT&T One. He tried putting his T-mobile SIM in my phone, but it would not work (my AT&T One has to be unlocked, which I believe can be done if you buy an unlock code). I couldn't say if my SIM would work since my SIM is not actually AT&T's, it is a Straight Talk SIM that is compatible with AT&T's network. I imagine you could also unlock the T-mobile variant to work with AT&T's networks, but I'm not sure if it'd be able to work on the 4G network.
So here is my situation. Getting a HTC One under Sprint. It uses a SIM card. I've been told it will work on T-Mobile. My question is can I just flash radios or will it be always stuck with just Edge?

It's actually CDMA/GSM and LTE. Sprint locks down the GSM portion against using a domestic SIM from AT&T and TMobile by default. They'll unlock it for international SIMs/use if you meet certain criteria etc.
It has the necessary radios to work on Tmobile and or AT&T, you just have to have it unlocked a certain way. Search here on XDA, it's been done though it's not the easiest process.

Every LTE device will have a sim slot.
LTE is based on GSM technology. Now with that said there is a GSM variant and a CDMA variant. The CDMA variant does not have the basic GSM chipset for GPRS/ EDGE technology. So putting your sim card in there MIGHT only get you LTE in a re farmed TMO area with 1900mhz. Bottom line is if you want the phone to work like it should you need to buy a T-Mobile one.. It has the 1700mhz aws band you need for all of T-Mobiles network.

Can you tell me how you were able to get sprint phone on t-mobile network. I have HTC one, unlocked, but it won't connect to tmobile towers.

It seems like the Samsung Galaxy Alpha has all the necessary bands to be used with AT&T in the US. But does anyone know for sure? If Samsung takes too long to release this in America can I buy the UK version and use it in the US?

If what wikipedia says, AT&T uses the following frequencies:
2G: 850 / 1900.
3G: 850 / 1900.
4G: 700 block B (main frequency) / 1700 AWS / 1900 / 2300.
So, if I read correctly, you can use the international Alpha for 2&3G, but for LTE, you are covered only by one LTE band, 1900, and this being not a main frequency, won't have good coverage everywhere, I think.

Yes. If it was me to make the decision, I'd want my phone with an unlocked bootloader, HSPA+ is good enough speed for me.
Though, practically, I've never tested LTE in my life, until recently we didn't have any 4G networks.

I bought an unlocked international/Euro Galaxy Alpha SM-G850F at the London Samsung store... Installed my USA ATT SIM and have no prob w. calls or H or H+ data but can NOT get LTE band in the USA on either ATT or TMO even though the device seems to have the right bands for ATT or TMO LTE. On advice from an ATT Wireless store manager, I updated my APN settings to match ATT setup but still did not get LTE. FYI my H+ is quite fast for most purposes but I want LTE. Hope that answers your question.... Mine is how can I get LTE???

Are you sure the European version has correct U.S. LTE bands? I was under the impression that it does not....

4G: 700 block B (main frequency) / 1700 AWS / 1900 / 2300.
So, if I read correctly, you can use the international Alpha for 2&3G, but for LTE, you are covered only by one LTE band, 1900, and this being not a main frequency, won't have good coverage everywhere, I think.
I am trying to solve this also.
I think that the Euro Version with the Exynos does not have the proper LTE Bands for North America LTE.
But the Qualcomm version does, though not sure about
TMobile.
I am looking at this from Canada GSM for $ 549. Factory Unlocked with following Bands:
2G Network GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
3G Network HSDPA 850 / 900 / 1900 / 2100
4G & LTE 2100, 1900, 1800, 1700, 2600, 700, 850
Obviously for AT&T you just buy theirs.
I have read that the EXYNOS versions do not function in North America on LTE.

Especially SAMSUNG loves to make 24 versions of ALPHA, 50 versions of S4 etc.
Frequency Bands are a real WTF for amateurs like me:
For example are there TWO DIFFERENT 1700 bands, one for4G LTE and one for 3G , HSPA + or are they the SAME BAND with dual usage ?
In example ABOVE the Alpha Factory Unlocked Canada GSM @$ 549.
IF used for TMobile the LTE Bands look fine, but the 3G
1700 Band is not there. Will 3G merely use the 1700 LTE
band or does the SOC ( QUALCOMM) need to have
allocated the 1700 band for dual usage LTE and.3G
