Which charger are you using? Did you hit the "sweet spot" for charging (if there is one on your charger)?
I have the TYLT VU and have had no issues with it, although I have a "skin" on my phone instead of a case.
PS I've been waiting for the incipio cases to come out but their website says they aren't available yet. Where did you get yours?

LG WCP-300 the one verizon sells. like a disc.
i got my from verizonwireless.com they only have the feather.. fits nice. 25 bucks. guess the magnet isnt strong enough or case it too dense, even tho its pretty thin

same here I charge my active through *most* cases there are some that do not work. The case itself gets hot but charges fine, slow but fine

I came from a Nokia Lumia 928 and had the wireless Nokia charger. Works fine on the G2 in the folio case. Every once in awhile I have to re-position it or it acts a little wonky - charge, no charge, charge, no charge... other than that it charges quickly.

I have the same charger and works fine with Verizon TPU and LG Quickwindow cases.

Like was mentioned earlier, there's a sweet spot for charging. I almost think that LG and other phone makers should have some sort of label/insignia for the center of the charging coil so we would know. But they don't, so lets look on the inside.

You can see that the center of the coil is below the center of the phone. So, if you're using one of those small round LG chargers, you wont be centering the phone on the charger. And if you're using the Nokia 900 oval charger, you want the bottom of the phone to line up with the bottom of the charging pad, where the indicator light is. I have messed with this quite a bit and have found this placement to be ideal for consistent charging. If you are a little off, it may charge, but it may also go in and out. Each time it goes in and out, it wakes the phone and draws power, thereby reducing the effective charge.
I have no trouble charging my G2 with a heavy Ballistic case on it, on either the Nokia 900 or 910 chargers with the above method.

review of $14.89 Twin USB Cradle with 2nd Battery Slot for Samsung Galaxy Note

hi all, i just received this docking station from tmart.com for under 15 dollars.
i have a extended battery i reviewed from them and it was so good that i decided to review this item.
here is a link to the docking station
http://www.tmart.com/Twin-USB-Cradl...te-i9220-n7000-Black-Only-Cradle_p140022.html .
well first impressions is it is a good dock it has dual usb ports, you can plug your wall charger in to it and also plug it in to your computer at the same time which is a nice feature.
when charging your phone it stands straight up but you can lay it on its side for movie watching game playing just not charging.
pretty sturdy plastic and has a led that is red and turns blue when the spare battery is charged.
i have a few battery's and the extra charge bay is great.
here is a few pictures of the dock.

Yes. I only use it for charging the battery though as I'm too lazy to remove my Otterbox and it won't fit in the cradle with it on. No biggie.

it does charge the battery pretty fast
well as of last night it topped of my 3250mah mt stock and my 5200mah battery's and has my sons galaxy blaze charging on it to.
i like this dock and it is very useful for media viewing or playing games with my wii mote
So I'm guessing this doesn't work with the Tmart extended battery cover, eh?
No it don't, what I will he doing after I test out my 3250mah battery is rotate so when my 5200 dies I can pit it in the charging slot and run my 3250 while that's charging or my OEM one.
I like the dock though it comes in pretty handy.

Official Samsung Note 3 Flip Cover Battery Door

I just bought my Note 3 from T-Mobile USA, and I'm loving it.
I attend UCLA, and Samsung was having a promotion here where they were giving out flip covers to Galaxy device owners.
I chose the black one to match my device, but they offered to give me either the white or pink one tomorrow.
The fake leather is pretty nice, but it does feel a bit more plastic-y than the battery door the phone came with.
It clips on pretty easily, and there is even 1 card slot inside the cover.
The edges of the door and the cover actually stick out about 5mm past the edges of the phone; I suspect that
will help with very short drops. It doesn't make the phone much thicker either.
I doubt this is really a big deal to anybody though, haha.
I wanted to get a picture of it on the phone, but my Note 3 is the only camera I have in my dorm.

I'm thinking now that isn't the charging version because I don't see a view window. I don't know why a plain flip cover needs the electrical contacts, but I've never looked at the plain flip covers for the other models either.

Kick Stand case for Samsung Galaxy NOTE 3
Well I am also looking for a wallet case for my Note 3 but for till then I have pre ordered this Kick Stand case from Fommy as cant take Risk with Note 3 at any condition so just going for this one right now...will be receiving it on October 10 as it is stated in the mail..so surely gonna put up the pics and reviews the moment I will receive it
Those pins are for the wireless charging. The NFC antenna is inside the battery.
It is looking very cool.
I think that the wireless charging cover has more pins. Those two are just for waking up the display when the flip is opened.

Isn't it the magnet that wakes it up?
I was under the impression the pins tell the phone a case is there and when/how to modify the display. On a genuine Samsung cover the phone even knows what color the case is, or so I read.

I tried that one for my GS 3 and I remember if you don't place the phone directly on the connector perfectly, it would scratch the hell out of it. You have to line it up perfectly. Instead I went w/ a Zenis dock. Can't find it for the G3
I'm thinking about this but not sure if it'll fit even the slimmest case:

And, the LG spare battery charger works as a stand, maybe even with a slim case, but not with my Otterbox Symmetry.

I got this one. It has an adapter that you can remove that lets you use a 'slim' case in the dock. I'm currently using the CruzerLite Bugdroid case and it fits just fine. If you keep the adapter in then it fits the G3 without a case.
The base is rather stable. There is some weight to it that keeps it from tipping over, but it does have a wobble if you try to tip it yourself. Also, if you're charging an extra battery while the device is docked, it's not enough power to charge both devices. I think the extra battery takes priority because with both in it, the phone slowly loses a charge even though it has a charging symbol/
I am rather please with it, I just use the LG extra battery charger instead of using this to do it

Does this modded DT-900 give enough juice to run the GPS and still charge on the go? I want to do the same type of setup for my car.

It's fine as long as your screen brightness isn't turned all the way up. I also don't run my GPS solid. I check it to confirm my route, then I'll start it up again when I get close.
Wireless charging isn't as fast as wired, and there is some heat generation, so if your screen's on while it's charging and running GPS, it will be getting pretty warm.

I'm guessing this would depend on the adapter you are using with it. My guess would be a higher amperage adapter would be able to charge both.
I got this one:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/251590336467?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649
Great quality material and looks nice. Has a green light when connected. Also has on OTG capabilities.
Also comes with a 120cm data cable.
I got my two docking stations the other day, but I don't have my G3 yet, so I can't tell how nice it fits.
Tried my brother's Galaxy S4 and it fits it perfectly and charges at a 1700 MAH.
If you are looking for a dock that will use usb cable, I would highly recommend keeping an eye for this one
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/957745871/arq-apple-or-android-iphone-6-5s-5c-5-ipad-s4-s5-n
Unfortunately they are sold out at the moment. I was a supporter so I received my Arc last week. I can finally say I found a dock that can be used with just about any case. I actually picked this up for use with my LG G Pad, but works just as well with the G3. (Using Qi with the G3, so this will primarily be for my G Pad). The back / pins are easily adjustable, as well as the usb cable, so it will indeed fit any case out there. Only thing is you would need to readjust if changing cases often. Again, works well. Keep an eye out for when they are publicly available.

Pretty sure it's for the G3 but you can always contact the seller just to make sure. I got mine from the seller below. As for working with Qi-Charger I'm thinking it might not since it won't be level but have no idea. I will let ya know in a few weeks when I should have my case and wireless charger.

Qi standard is 1.5 inches to charge, so as long as it's decently close it should be fine.

i have the orange nilkiin case with an Icarez 9H Tempered Glass scrren protector. i have AT&T so i had to buy the folio case, wonderful PMA, and i dremelled it down, so it snaps right in place.i can confirm the bumper case fits nicely with the protector, and wirelessly charges with no issues.
i tried the Qi USB receiver, but the phone kept telling me about it being a slow charge. which it was, didnt even get full overnight. anyway, just posting my findings.

I got the orange one last week, loved it so much that I've ordered a blue one too. It works fine with my Nokia DT-910 charging stand but you have to make sure it's dead centre or it won't charge.
got my red one this afternoon. the polycarbonate shell have glossy finish, and fits really perfectly. the front and rear lips do a pretty well job keeping the phone from the surface.
will post pics as soon as i get home.

no I have the AT&T variant. there is no qi charging in that only PMA. you can buy a Qi USB receiver.
Well, this sucks! I got the black case today. I love the feel and design. The gray rubber frame kills it for me, though. I was hoping for black front like the others. At least it looks like the other colors are have the black rubber.
Oh well, in the junk drawer it goes. The Tech21 goes back on.

wireless charger

i found a qi charging reciever that delivers a 1000ma output which i suppose will work.
it shows a height on the pad to be about 9mm.
does anyone have any experience using the wireless chargers with this phone?
i know i can build a dock pretty easily, so building a receiver might not be that hard either, but id rather modify something that works already and then reverse engineer from there.
The receivers are generic now and can be found for under $10. It looks like the G4 Plus is an ideal candidate for one since the back cover pops off and also the MicroUSB port is right at the edge of the cover. I've seen someone post a video on YouTube of a G4 Plus with one of these installed.
The 2 concerns I have:
- In the YouTube video the person showed that the back cover didn't close 100% near the MicroUSB port. I imagine this might differ between receivers and could be worked around by using a knife and making the opening around the MicroUSB a hint bigger. It is just the back cover after all... easily replaced.
- When you have one of these plugged in, it occupies the MicroUSB port, which means no more Turbo Charging or PC access without a hassle. Since I would like to retain those features and also since I have backed ZNAPS on kickstarter, this is a deal breaker for me.
I plan to get one of these and solder it to the internal side of the MicroUSB port. That works around both of my concerns (but would void warranty).
I have one of those receiving adapters in my drawer, and two Qi chargers, from my previous phone. Wasted money.
The receiver gets hot while delivering the charging current. They are installed on top of the battery - battery that gets hot anyway during charging.
Cumulative heating effect will lead to shorter battery life span or even worse (fires).
In my experience the G4 Plus gets a lot less warm than most others when charging (and in general) so I'm not too worried about that. In my case the wireless charger would really only be used to maintain 100% while working.
had a qi receiver still lying around and just tried this. Works well and the battery case doesn't stick up any more than without the pad. the flat ribbon cable fits right under the case. I cut away the bulky side edges of the plug itself to make it as small as possible. Charging works. I have not tested how fast it is and how warm it gets. Over the period of 15min it didn't get warm at all, but I'm sure that charging is slow.

I have tested several Wireless chargers for my N4 and S7 Edge and Nexus 7, some dose get warmer than others..
So an important thing is to get the right charger or a fan by your charger if you are councered. Otherwize i love WC and have orderd a WC reciver for my G4 plus.
But All phones do get a bit warmer with WC. ..
Samsungs fast WC have a built in fan. I dont use any phones without WC now a days, once you get use to it its great.

Hi there!
I am planing to solder this pas directly to the battery cord.
Do you think it will work well? Or do i brick my phone?
As you can see, i removed the plastic cover. So i can replace the battery without anny tool in the future (swaped the old battery with an fresh original one).
