What is your Hboot?

Sounds like the update was incomplete. Take a look into JB nandroid section to find a nand of your cid and be sure to flash the right kernel via fastboot, which you should be able to access.
---------- Post added at 02:17 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:16 PM ----------
And yeah. double check hboot version (1.25 and higher is JB...)

Have you tried running a RUU?

where can I download RUU for this model, I got a phone is turned off and is not included, only that he makes this when connected to a PC lights up "orange light" and is defined as what the unknown device.

found file RUU . tried to restore but nothing came out. tell me the topic where I will tell what to do with my phone.

no, telephone does not react to pressing the power button, just connect your phone to the PC orange light comes on in the task Manager is defined as the processor.

Then send it to an HTC service center or to the shop where you bought it.
It's dead and you can't revive it yourself

but he is still determined by the Manager, is there any program to restore this device? restore on it HBOOT and go into Recovery. well and so on.

[Q] [HELP!!] HTC One X+ Bricked.

Hi, I just got my HTC ONE X+ from Taiwan. I forgot to do a Nandroid Backup before I accidentally flashed a boot.img from another ROM. So, i got stuck in a bootloop. At first I thought it was okay, I just need to flash the ROM which was downloading. I realised that my phone's TWRP Mount USB can't be detected by my computer!! So, I had no way. Fastboot commands whenever i try to flash something it says Command Write Failed Unknown error. for adb it says No Device Found. ADB devices: none. Fastboot: yeah i can see a device there. PLEASE HELP ME. What can I do now? My HBOOT is 1.30.0000, RELOCKED Bootloader(I thought the bootloader was the problem. ENRC2B_U PVT Ship S-On RL

Indeed flash RUU trough fastboot, since u can still use that it should be fixed after that

I googled HTC ONE X+ RUU. And was fruitless. Many are third party ROMs, and I'm not sure where to download the correct one. Even which to choose I'm not sure.
drivers installed?
There's a link on the TWRP thread you should have read before installing.
As Lloir says, do you have the HTC driver package installed? What recovery you have, should have no impact on how fastboot detects your device, just install drivers and flash a working kernel through fastboot.

Hey i got the same problem and to start here i'am a noob in this. This is my first Android device and my first time trying to install a ROM. I used Hasoons all-in-one kit, and unlocking to bootloader went fine, so did recovery and Perm Root. I tried to install Android Revolution HD 5.1, so first I tried to install the other firmware that was needed for it, that is 1.16.401.6. I did something wrong there i guess and its stuck at the HTC start up logo. I tried to make sense of the posts above but i couldn't. My PC doesnt recognize the phone anymore but if I use a command from the all in one kit it does still respond and i can use the power and volume down button to go into bootloader. I tried some things there but really dont know what I'am doing. If someone can help me to get a ROM installed or go back to factory settings from the phone atleast make it work again would be much appreciated. I think i installed all the drivers because it worked before and it still does respond to flashboot in all-in-one kit. Sorry for being so noob. and thanks for the help.

I have the relevent RUU.exe file, but simply running it doesn't work.

My phone is bootloader unlocked, and rooted, and I can get into bootloader or clockwork recovery, but I can't get any new ROM onto the device via USB.

Relock your bootloader and flash the following RUU (1.17): HERE

Will I be able to gain root back afterwards?

Are you having problem with scrolling? like when you scroll left it will rubberband itself or scrolling right does the same?, or does it click on stuff instead of scrolling?, this is happeneing to me and its really annoying, i did a screen test with *#*#3424#*#* and each touf=ch on the screen doesnt show up untill the next touch if you no what i mean, now, i dont know if its software related or a broken digitizer, i imagine if it was the digitizer then the touches wont show at all i suppose. This is the reason for the touch screen issues though for me, maybe you try and see if it does the same so we can rule out broken digitizer. As fopr the update, my phone wont pick it up, im thinking that its because my HBOOT is already 1.35.

You need to get a stock recovery flashed back on your phone first. Relock bootloader, then run the ruu, or try the ota first.

Yes I am having a problem with scrolling - it clicks on stuff instead of scrolls. I have good reason to believe that this is a software problem because I have done nothing physical to the phone and the problem came only after updating.
Would you know how to downgrade the firmware? Or do you think a hard reset can fix the issue?

You can downgrade using ruu 1.16.401.6 with the newest version radio, it has the same HBOOT 1.35, but theres no point because thats what version i was on and i have a scrolling issue, when doing a screen test on black background, i can touch the screen, nothing happens, when i touch it again in a different place the first touch then registers, unless we can get back to 1.14 i think were stuck with it untill new update, best thing to do is report it to HTC they may say send them to be repaired or they may acknowledge the issue, i thought it was the digitizer but now you are the same its def software, if you say it was ok untill you updated. I got a seperate camera.apk download after updating to 1.17.401.1, did you?. Mine is a week old but im scared to replace incase i get one thats worse, like wif no good or bad signal an so on. Im going to factory reset the phone, then run ruu 1.17.401.1 again.

[Q] NooB help needed drastically to unroot phone

Ok so here goes. I had my brother-in-law on my AT&T plan and was paying off his HTC One M8. Due to unforseen circumstances, I have removed him from my plan and have repossessed his phone. I would like to sell it to a friend, but have realized that the phone is rooted and would like to revert back to stock so the phone doesnt show tampered with or unlocked. I have the phone, just need someone to walk me through how to do this. I dont know what he used to root the phone, If there is even a recovery image. I can answer everything about the phone/software if someone can tell me where to locate the info.
PS.... I have been searching through these forums for awhile now and see threads that could apply, however I don't have ANY knowledge to be able to decipher if any of these pertain to my situation. I need a patient expert to walk me through step-by-step if possible.
Thank you in advance,

Do you know how to get into bootloader (the screen where it says TAMPERED and UNLOCKED)?
If so, on the 3rd line it says either "S-on" or "S-off" (at the end of this line). Which is it?
Also on that screen, it will say hboot number. What is the number?

Hold volume up button and power button until the phone reboots. The moment the screen goes black, let go of those buttons and hold the volume down button. Do not let go until the white bootloader screen appears.
If you don't get into bootloader, you either started pressing vol down too late, or let go of it too early. So just try again.

Okay, sounds good.
I don't normally advocate toolkits, but the following is probably the path of least resistance in your case:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2699065
Follow instructions under "How to use" to install the phone to your home PC.
Then make sure you are ready to wipe the phone (backup any files you may want from it - possibly nothing in your case).
---------- Post added at 12:17 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:10 PM ----------
Also, on the phone's Settings, scroll to the bottom. Do you see a category for "Developer's Options"?
If so, tap it and make sure USB Debugging is selected.

Ok, great!
Do you have HTC Sync or HTC drivers installed on your home computer?
I won't be available tonight. So I'll give the whole rundown, and you can work on it when you get a chance. If you run into issues, I unfortunately won't be able to help until tomorrow morning.

Great, great. All good news so far!
Connect the phone to your computer.
Run the Toolkit and choose the option to relock the bootloader.
This is the point where the phone will be wiped, so backup anything you want before you do this.
Reboot the phone into bootloader. Once in bootloader, if the relock was successful, you will see RELOCKED near the top instead of UNLOCKED.
The phone will always say RELOCKED in bootloader once UNLOCKED, from here on out. There is a process to make it LOCKED, but its even more complicated and in my opinion not required for what you are doing.
Next, you want to download the RUU (ROM update utility) which is essentially a full recovery image. Relocking the bootloader was required to make the RUU run. Download from the link at the bottom of the page:
http://www.htc.com/us/support/htc-one-m8-att/news/
Then follow the instruction on that same webpage under "Manual system update instructions"
Basically, the RUU is a .exe which will re-image the phone to stock. Its very self-explanatory and as long as the bootloader is RELOCKED and you have USB connectivity, it will do its job, and you will be DONE.
My opinion, the friend you are selling the phone to should still be aware it was at one time bootloader unlocked and rooted. Keeping in mind that HTC has a record of the bootloader being unlocked, and the warranty through HTC may be void. Don't know if the warranty through AT&T themselves is transferable? But if so, AT&T actually doesn't care if the phone has been modded, and will still honor the warranty for 1 year.
Aside from the HTC record that the phone was bootloader unlocked, and the RELOCKED flag in bootloader, the phone will be full stock; and should also receive OTA updates if connected to the AT&T network.
Thank you for all your help and expertise in this area. I will definitely try this tonight. Cross your fingers! I will post tonight whether successful or failed. Thank you again!
Good luck!

!!!!!!!!help!!!!!!-bricked m9

I bricked my htc one m9 on the at&t network . I was trying to download a new rom but got a bricked m9 . My bootloader is unlocked and is currently s-on. My computer no longer reads my sd card any more . I download the RUU_HIMA_UL_L51_SENSE70_ATT_MR_Cingular_US_2.11.502.18 but that is no longer a option . Every time i start the ruu its only goes so far as the the accept license option and once i accept it closes the program without even doing anything to my phone . I also tried flashing my twrp recovery again with no luck . I can no longer go into recovery mode at all, only shows a red triangle with a exclamation point thats turn on and off every few minutes . I tired to use this command but no luck.
adb devices= nothing
adb get-state=unknow
Anyone ?

not sure it will help, but maybe try the ATT L50? It's an older firmware. I thought I toasted my phone too but was able to recover with the L50 and then do OTA's to bring it back to speed. Sounds like you have nothing to lose at this point.

it's on the HTC website - it will download as a RUU file - just look for downloads for the AT&T version of the HTC One M9 there.

Do you still need help with this? Do you have fastboot working from download mode? You'll need HTC_fastboot.exe for the steps I'm going to share, but if fastboot works we can get htc_fastboot working. If fastboot doesn't even work, then you likely have windows driver issues that you need to get sorted first. Anyway, let me know if you still need help, first.
finally after 3 months of searching for a solution i finally was able to figure it out . thank you though
