[ROM] Stock Deodexed [P5210UEUAMI8] P5210| WIFI - Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 Android Development

This is built using the Samsung GT-P5210 P5210UEUAMI8 [4.2.2] Jelly Bean base.
This is not debloated it's fat and sassy like Samsung intended it.
If you would like to debloat I highly recommend using DutchDanny's debloater which can be found here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2482582
Jelly Bean P5210UEUAMI8
Fully Deodexed
Rooted
BusyBox
Zipaligned
Extended Power Menu (Wanam Xposed)
Will Not Delete Internal SD
This doesn't have much for bells and whistles but I have included Xposed framewok - Wanam Xposed and Pie Control. If you just want bone stock all the additions can deleted easily with App Manager.
To used Xposed framework and Wanam Xposed do as follows.
After booting the first time go to Exposed Installer App- click the - Framework tab - click install/update.
Next hit back button - select the Modules Tab - check Wanam Xposed module – reboot.
Once it reboots you can go to the Wanam app and choose the options you like. Not all will work on the tab because many features are phone related. Clock location – Color – Circle Battery do work also the the extended boot menu which includes recovery works too. After making your choices you will need to reboot for them to take effect. There are many more modules you can experiment with just be sure to make a Nardroid backup first because all aren't compatible.
Please go to the links below for more detail and be sure to thank them.

I've Been thinkin about something.
IF This is an original Rom only deodexed and some xposed stuff. Nothing else removed. Why dosent This Rom recognize My router when i have it on chanel 13. But IT finds it on chanel 5? Stock Rom recognized it with chanel 13..
And The other thing is The autobrightnes. My stock Rom had a bar with -1,2,3,4,5 and +1,2,3,4,5 when auto was enabled. But This One have only manual or auto nothing else.
Is there a way to get those back?
Other than that, Good Work with The Rom!

I used Samsung's original file for this build which came from http://samsung-updates.com/. Been using my wifes tab to test with and this was the current version she had after it updated. You are right there are some slight differences from the file I used and the automatic update version. I'll take a look at the two and see what i can do.

Anybody out there still with this device? I just got mine today and was curious if anyone has heard anything about the newest OTA update. Mine came out of the box with MI8 and is trying to upgrade with wifi on. I'm weary of this, because I own an att galaxy s4 that was one of the lucky ones to root before the locked bootloader OTA upgrade. From what I understand this device doesn't have a locked bootloader so I should be ok to upgrade? I plan on rooting to be able to use root apps and I'm a huge fan of xposed and wanam, I just want to make sure all of the hardware works before voiding my warranty. Any insight is much appreciated! TIA

Not a ton of choices and developer love for this device -- probably due to the x86 architecture. Too bad because it is a very nice device. That all said, this ROM works great.
I'm pretty sure my wife's 10.1 upgraded beyond MI8 and I ended up flashing this ROM anyway mainly because it is deodexed.
I followed this guide for root and recovery:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432467
Only thing to beware of:
uncheck the reboot option in odin and just hard power down...
Also, to me, it seems like vol up and down are reversed from what I expected to get into recovery. If you get into donwload mode, just try the other volume up button
Finally, there is a script in this forum for decrapping but it seems to mess up the galary. I ended up jet deleting .apk's for stuff I didn't want.
Good luck! -- Bud

Anyone know where to get the rooted MJ3 firmware after flashing the debloat from above thread it blew the gallery away no sammy script killed it.
If anyone has a way to get back please let me know i installed this rom and its working but i like to go to latest firmware and more stock.
Thanks in advance

Hi !
how to flash this ?
Via Odin or Recovery ?

It will great if somebody can post images or videos about this rom running. I really really don't like TouchWiz on my Tab 3 but I cannot find any other rom only this but I would like to know who it works and how to flash it.
Thanks!

Agreed, Touch Wiz Sucks
You don't have to use this ROM though just to 'change' the Launcher (Home Screen)
I use Smart Launcher after trying nearly every other 'Launcher' I could find..
Now I cant live without it..
A must have !

This rom runs pretty decent for a stock based tw system... You flash it through a custom recovery

But its not the same thing. TouchWiz its not only a launcher, it include services and apps who make Android works not excellente like the vanilla android. That's why is better for me to flash a custom rom. But apreciate your suggeston.

just use default for a while...till now no custom roms are without bugs or glitches the best is to stay with stock till really good roms appear
yea omega is the best choice if u really want to change your rom

Are you sure it's a genuine S3 and not a copy?
If it's a copy then don't flash roms or kernels because they won't work.
If it is genuine and it's only missing gapps and s voice because of network limitations then you will be okay to flash.

cf-root not working.

i connect the s3 in download mode to windows xp. odin ready.
windows pop up comes, say try install a driver named "gadget serial" but failed.
i come back on odin, press start, only say "all threads completed. succeed 0/ failed 0"... :/
so i think of a problem with the driver... ?
yes...
now it s working
i found the samsung driver on phonandroid, install them and everything is fine. i am now rooted, have a backup, and can now try a first rom...

you don't have to do anything to get Aroma working, it is packed in to Omega.
Just flash the Omega.zip ROM using CWM and then the Aroma Installer starts automatically, it just gives you a nice looking installation.
I'm at work now but i've just taken some pictures to show you how nice and easy the Omega rom is to install
Start to flash the ROM using CWM like this....

"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Then Aroma Installer automatically starts....
Then Omega's nice GUI starts....
and gives you these options....
really nice and easy. :good:
(if the green touch screen buttons don't work, use the power button on the side to select it.)
o_o very nice
Ok i am doing it
thx

Rom:
Built directly from the kies download, comes with everything in the shipped firmware so you can choose what to keep. This is what I've been using as my daily driver so it's tested and fully operational. I haven't had any FC's and I've noticed good battery life and quick GPS locks. No modem included, make sure you grab the one you need from the bottom of this post.
Original build - closest thing to actual stock, now in second post!
Features:
Telus DTLLF4 Base, Stock.
Absolutely no ATT garbage! The phone, contacts, messaging and status bar are much cleaner in Canadian relase imo.
No hacks needed for Tethering!
Rooted - SuperSU app included.
Busyboxed, Deodexed, Zipaligned.
No boot sound.
h0tkernel R5s1 with System Tuner and BLN Included. Thank h0tw1r3.
ES File Explorer, and Titanium Backup included.
Quick Boot included for easier recovery access.
S-Note, Nova launcher + other apps now included.
Conversions for Rogers and Bell users, now with Carrier apps.
Google and included apps all updated.
Fully Bloated, so you can keep what you want!
I've only removed 2 things related to system updates, as any updates will be coming from me :fingers-crossed:
Link:
i717-DTLLF4-CustomCanadian-B2
Conversions:
What are they? For Bell and Rogers users, turn my Telus base into the Rogers/Bell equivalent. These zips include the build.prop from the Rogers/Bell builds, the CSC files for network/carrier specific settings and now you can get them with the Carrier apps as well. These are the only thing that differentiate the Canadian ICS versions. Now you wont have to wonder if a Rogers/Bell base could somehow be better. I recommend installing right after installing my rom.
Bell Conversion
Bell Conversion and Apps
Rogers Conversion
Rogers Conversion and Apps
Instructions:
Copy I717D-TLLF4-BASE.zip, modem and optional Bell/Rogers conversion to your sdcard
Restart in recovery
Wipe data/factory reset
Install I717DTLLF4-BASE.zip
Install optional Bell/Rogers conversion
Install modem
Done!
Tips:
Turn off notifications in SuperSU
Use Nova Launcher as your default and in Nova Settings/Look and Feel, set scroll speed and animation speed to "Faster than light." For some added sex appeal set Icon Theme to "Jelly Bean"
My Story available through S choice.
Optional Mods:
LF4 Custom Canadian 4-way Power Menu Freshly baked and fully supported, copy to sdcard flash in recovery
These mods should work, if they don't work for you I wont be supporting them. Just reflash my Rom and leave as is. When flashing any mods make sure you let the rom boot once before you do, don't flash immediately after install of rom.
Electron73's 15 toggle Mod tested and working! however changes some things in the status bar to their uglier ATT counterpart.
paleh0rse's Galaxy S3 phMOD
If you use their mods, don't forget to thank them!
Will test more and add to the list or let me know what works for you and i'll add them to the op.
Modems:
I have extracted the modems from all the Canadian ICS firmwares directly from the kies downloads and made them into a cwm flashable zip for you guys since there doesn't seem to be any floating around. All tested by me and working.

Nice! This is definitely different (ICS with Google Now). Just curious, how essential is Launcher 7? I'm guessing not at all, but I'm curious. I'm enjoying CM7 currently, but this is highly tempting.

I figured as long as i could get some of the main features of JB (Google Now) working it might be worth it to revert back to ICS until our JB matures a bit more and/or we get those missing components from Moto.

Does it fully work like the voice and all that? Or do you still have to hit enter?

Looks nice, I like the blue color.
what's modded in the launcher 7..? I had already bought the launcher 7 donate for an older phone. If I install it, will i have to extract the apk and modify it?

As of right now the only thing modded are the default 1x1 and 1x2 icons used for tiles, but this will change shortly. You can achieve the same result with the paid version of launcher7 by downloading the icon pack i linked to in the Addons section of the op. The only irritating part about this is you will need to use a program like Quickpic and set its background color to white to actually 'see' what you are selecting when changing a tiles icon due to them being black.
I have to host the rom elsewhere, my links went down. Hmm not sure where would be good though.. Sorry for the inconvenience to those wanting to try the ROM. I'll be reuploading later today and may have a ROM update too if all goes well.
Double post woops.

Nope, not wondering at all! Your reasoning makes a lot of sense.
And I don't need to consider trying Launcher 7; I have in the past. I do like it, but it's not for me. Launcher 7, and WP7 in general, I feel, is not very app-centric at all. It's for people who use their phone for phone stuff and have maybe a couple apps. I have 51 apps installed (in Google Play) and I use probably a dozen at least weekly (if not more). I feel like L7/WP7 are more minimalist than I need. But I do like the idea. I actually like a semi-minimalist appearance on my phone; apps are grouped in folders, and aligned to the bottom of the screen, with widgets at the top. But I have access to a lot of apps in a short distance from any given point. That said, I do like seeing you base the presentation of your ROM around a launcher that doesn't resemble AOSP. It's a fairly unique approach. And that's the mentality I like to see in devs. It's thinking outside the box, as it were.
Links are back up. Will be updating the ROM soon.

Version 1.1 is released.

You flashed version 1.1? Within the aroma installer did you choose to do a full wipe? Did you choose gsm or cdma? Did it appear to install correctly or hang at a specific part? What recovery version are you running? I use joker v3, haven't tested it with anything else. Did the dual core screen begin to make little waves as if trying to boot? I'll see if I can get you sorted out.
:EDIT:
Thinking it was a bad upload I downloaded the rom and flashed. Within aroma I selected full wipe, cdma, and installed it. Booted up just fine for me.

I've been thinking of ditching the aroma installer too actually. I will make the next version without aroma. Again though, can you give me any more details? Does the aroma installer actually go all the way through and seem to install fine? What options did you pick? What recovery youre using?

-- Welcome to the Virginity ROM topic! --
Hello fellow XDA user! Welcome to the LostVirginity ROM, a ROM based on KitKat OmniROM with a stock feeling that will blow your mind!
I decided to create this ROM after my Virginity project because @golden-guy's Omni build is getting really good and I've been using it for months without ever looking back to a stock ROM. Since I'm loving it so much, but I still think it is missing a little bit of a stock feeling, I thought of making something that would make lots of people happy around here. :cyclops:
This ROM is should work for L and N versions!
Android version 4.4.2
All of the amazing OmniROM features + cherry pics
Super clean
Great battery life
GPS fast lock
Custom hosts file for ad-blocking
Pre-rooted using Chainfire's SuperSU

Installing LostVirginity is really simple. First, make sure you meet the requirements:
You're using a KitKat compatible recovery. I recommend Android-Andi's TWRP recovery. CWM will not work!
You downloaded Google Apps. I recommend using the standard package from Banks
You backed up all your apps and messages with TitaniumBackup
If you're coming from another ROM other than LostVirginity, you MUST wipe your data before installing! You can use the option included on the installer for that matter.
Installing the ROM
Reboot to recovery
Flash LostVirginity. Follow the instructions on the screen
Flash Google Apps
Reboot
Hit thanks on my posts until your wrists explode
FAQ
Q: Can I enable ART with this ROM?
A: No!! Absolutely not! Most of Samsung apps are not compatible with ART, so if you are planning on activating it, stay away from the Samsung apps options in aroma. You have been warned!
Q: Do I need to flash Google Apps each time I flash the ROM?
A: Yes! I didn't include the backup-script-method used by OmniROM installer because it was giving me some problems. It is really not that important for this ROM since I don't plan to update it so often. So each time you are installing LostVirginity, flash the Google Apps package after!
Q: Do I need to wipe data between updates?
A: No! When you are updating, just flash the ROM and gapps package and select "Yes" when the installer asks you if you were using LostVirginity before. The ROM will be updated and you will keep all your data.
Q: How can I theme the ROM?
A: Giving a new look to the ROM is easy. Just download a CM11 compatible theme from Google Play or somewhere else. Then go on Settings, Themes, Theme Packs and select the desired theme. You'll be able to choose what you want to activate from each theme. Simple!
Q: There's a really cool Galaxy S5 theme showing on the screenshots. How can I get it?
A: The theme showed in the screenshots section was made by thomassafca, and it is available for purchase here. I cannot include it in the ROM itself since it is paid. Help the developer and buy the app!
Q: I installed Walkman and I don't have access to any equalizer. The ClearAudio+ option also doesn't work. What is going on?
A: The Walkman port is still at it's early stages and there are still some things to workout. The default sound enhancement app from Sony is currently not working for our devices, and any other equalizer will break Walkman. I myself don't worry about it - the sound is pretty darn good without any tweaks from my side. About ClearAudio+, if you selected the AC!D audio engine while installing the ROM, it's already activated by default and working without the need to tick any option.

Yeah, this worked for me, finally using Lost Virginity ROM Smooth, stable, and fully customizable; and have centered clock!
There are some issues that I experienced:
- Is there no stock messaging app?
- Xperia theme is not compatible with stock dialer. Crashes with every try.
- Galaxy S5 boot animation is not quite ready, has glitches.
- Signal logo on status bar is buggy, shows always "3G", but I am using "H".

1. If you installed Contacts+, the stock messaging app was removed (seems kinda silly to have both?). Anyway if I see many people complaining I'll let it stay there in next version
2. Ok, got it. I'll see what I can do.
3. I didn't see any problem? What do you mean by glitches?
4. Don't worry, it just takes a little bit to change! For some reason it starts showing 3G but after a while it changes accordingly

tweak to build.prop might fix that
have not had a chance to download and test this build, but just the thought that came to mind when i saw the reported issue
Came back to report
3G logo on status bar seems buggy, not changing at all. Also something's wrong with aroma script. I am choosing not to install Contacts+ app but it is still pushing it to system.
Plus, AdAway is failing to install host files. I think it is failing because KitKat using different host file methods.
When you boot with S5 boot logo, you can see those glitches at the right side of your screen
BTW, are you thinking of releasing a update for Virginity ROM? With more features, more mods etc.

Great work as always Joel Keep up:good:
this ROM looks very interesting!
just two questions:
if this is omni-based why it isn't in the "original" section?
supposing this is not stock-based NFC is not supported, am I right?

It's not original - someone else compiled it! So in my opinion it is in the right place
And yes, NFC is not supported as of now
Oops !
Should i disvirgin my phone now ?
It was really surprise for us :cyclops: Great Work Indeed :good:
any plan to upgrade Virginity ?
what based on ?
is this rom based on maclaw roms or another ?
Hi i recently switched from CM11 to your VIRGINITY V11 and i have to say it was such a great improvement overall and battery life is far superior i couldnt belive it.
I was new to android and just followed the post that had most views (CM11) i am so glad i came away and looked elsewhere. My question is how is LOSTVIRGINITY V1 compared to VIRGINITY V11? And great work with your ROM's really apreicate the time and effort you put in. Will try this after i hear few more good comments as i am already really happy with VIRGINITY V11
First things first, this rom is a great alternative for our phones. Both stable and performance-driven, but some people just loves stock-based roms, and i'm one of them. A wise man once said "Nothing is as good as stock rom." and every person in this thread knows that wise man
I just don't want to see Virginity fading out from this forum. It had been a great choice for stock lovers and these people really want to see Virginity V12.
That's all i wanna say. Keep up good work man!

So far I have no complaints about performance or looks. I am very happy that the live wallpaper does indeed work. My only complaint so far is that the android boot up animation does not look nearly as clean or as polished as the shut down animation. I do not know if this is something you will be able to fix in the future or if this is what comes on new Samsung phones. But so far that is my only complaint!

Thanks for your feedback theirs new features coming and as well yes i know theirs a fix coming on Saturday 25th 2017 this fixes the bootanimation issues your having
Update releaaed and as well in OTA
Sorry for the wait, I'm back. In the new build the boot and shut down animations look much better so thank you for that. After playing with it I have found a few trivial issues. First, if you try to use the google calendar from the Play Store (I like this calendar batter than the one provided) it gives an error that there is no calendar storage. I fixed this by downloading the apk for calendar storage and moving it into the system. This is a small but somewhat annoying. Second, this ROM still has the accessibility issue that other SM-G360T ROMs have. If you try to enable some type of accessibility service the system panics and crashes if you do not have a TTS service installed such as Google's Text To Speech. You can fix this by installing TTS and setting it as the preferred TTS service in settings. Once again, trivial but slightly annoying. Finally, GAPPS. When I originally installed this ROM for the first time I do not try to flash GAPPS. However, when i tried it on the newer version it failed. I don't remember what the problem was but it is rather tedious having to install all the GAPPS that i want through the Play Store. That's all I have for now, however, on the next major update I will be more than willing to test some more!
A few things that I would like to see personally.
1. A System themeing engine to change things such as the notifications panels colors.
2. Double-Tap to sleep. I currently use Nova Launcher Prime so I use gesture controls to do this however a built-in functionality would be nice.
3. Built in Viper4Android. I don't know how other users feel but Viper4Android for me is a must have so I would like to see it built-in and Samsung's SoundAlive removed
4. OK Google on any screen. I don't know if this is something you can do on this phone, however, if you can that would be amazing!
That's it for now! Hope I helped!
