Hi guys, I would like a firmware ITV (italy) it was prior to the last version, the MK4, maybe the MG5 or the MFB, I needed to do the root and then update via OTA without losing root ...
would be good also to other states, as long as at least upgradeable to the latest relase (MK4 and up)
help me please let the web do not address working to download the old firmware, it does not work anymore one for which were all connected to hotfile!

I just flashed my 10.1 p7500 with the kk4 stock firmware I downloaded from the other post, thinking that when the samsung ICS comes out, I can update it using KIES. But KIES said that it wasn't updateable thru it.
Does anyone have a firmware that would be updateable thru KIES?

So hoping someone reads, maybe can also help me, as I have same issue.
I installed stock firmware "P7500OXAKI1_P7500XXKI1_P7500XXKI1" downloaded from SamMobile.
This to get my Singapore model become a Europe model with all languages there.
I did not root the system first, so hope that is okay.. Everything seems to work fine.
But, if I try to update on the Galaxy Tab itself, it says there is a 99Mb update available?? Is it safe to download and install this on the tablet directly? Or will it like block my tablet?

i get the new "bad" i9100G -->G<-- i tryed to root with the wrong kernel and bricked it, but i could fix it some hours later with this rom:
I9100GXXKL5 2011 December I9100GXEFKL3 France (La poste mobile) from sammobile
So i got differnt problems:
-im from Germany and with this french stock rom, my Kies dont accept updates für my mobile, my original stock rom ends with XXLA1 but i cant find this one anywhere...
-i still got an unrooted sucking s2G
So PLZPLZPLZ help me out with a suiting stock rom, so that i could update with Kies to newest version and restart rooting
or give me an other tipp how i can get an working minimal customized rooted i9100G with the actual french version.

I have added yours on Check Fus (http://fus.nanzen.se/) earlier today, so it will be available soon with Check Fus Downloader and on sammobile.
The French stock rom is the latest one available and should be close to the German one, so I guess it's normal if Kies don't show any updates.

if tryed much out the whole day with different results, but noone was accaptable.
my actual stand is:
-flashed india rom I9100GXWKJ2
-rooted this rom with DooMLoRD_v4_ROOT-zergRush-busybox-su
-thought that this rom suxx and flashed back to french
result: french rom with SU but nothing else ( no CWM (( )
if anyone got an working kernel with CWM for this french ROM I9100GXXKL5 or other ideas plz PM me thanks
btw is it possible to delete this many trash system apps with ONLY SU?
and if its not possible to update SU, is it broken? perhaps it wont work with the flashed ROM

I9100GXXKL5 2.3.6 france FW is now accepted via Kies, perhaps i got it to early
Flashed MyGKernelV1.1.1_CWM5 via Odin
Now everything works like i wanted for the last 3 days its rooted + SU r/w permissions etc, only CWM is missing but im done for now^^

I have XXLE8 purchased from the Netherlands.
is it the latest? cz via software update it says that there is no update but i saw here threads of XXLE9 should I upgrade or not? or should I wait for FOTA update
I know that I need to delete userdata but I really dont want to as I have games and duh... data, I know I can backup all of them but does the upgrade worth it?
as Samsung has no changelog (at least i couldn't find some)

Firmware versions are much the same on the initial roll-out .Main differences are countries and vendors .XLE9 may be no different to 8 .
Your choice to upgrade or not official update via Kies will not erase user data .
Samsung do not publish change logs all you can do is read the web reports of newer versions .

I have a completely stock , non rooted and sim free UK S3.
I got the terrible 4.3 update and suffered for a few weeks like the rest of us.
I then got the OTA MK6 25mb update which has thankfully given me back a phone I like.
However... I now have one small issue ....
If I connect my phone to Kies it says ...
Your current firmware version is not supported by kies for firmware update.
Current firmware version : PDA:MK6 / PHONE:MK6 / CSC:MK6 (BTU)
Why is this happening and what does it mean ?

Everyone will have this at the moment the server Kies connects to doesn't currently recognise the firmware as its only an OTA update at this time

I heard that 5.1 should be released in June.
one forth of my tasker profiles require root... So i'm interested in rooting asap but wanna keep being up to date with the officials fw versions (since i still have the night clock bug on mine)
Question:
- If i root it with PingPong, i know i'll lose OTA, so question is how will i know if a new firmware is released ? Does it matter if get a different CSC if necessary ??
- With all those differents fw versions and letters, i'm getting lost , how can i know i have the latest up to date ?
Shoud i proceed this way ?
1) I'll root using pingpong
2) When a new fw is released , is it better (and possible?) to use Smart Switch to get the official update ? (of course i know it will unroot)
3) will i loose my data doing so ???
3) Is Odin better to use than Smart Switch ? if so, why ?

News sites & these forums will let us know when new updates drop.
Using Odin to flash a previous firmware will not wipe data.
Once the 5.1.1 update comes out, someone will forward the kernel & build prop info to idler, who will in turn let us know whether Ping-pong Root is still possible.
