Significant device contribution:
@Entropy512 | Andrew Dodd
@codeworkx | Daniel Hillenbrand
OS Version: 4.4.x KitKat
Kernel: Linux 3.0.x
Based On: AOSP

Known Issues:
SDCard/Fuse Daemon issues (aka "Music Playback Bug"). On extended music play it can suddenly happen that the playback stops.
Camcorder - Zoom on 1080p mode is buggy see below for "workaround"
Notes:
If you are running on ART, and you're having issues with an app... check this list to see whether app is known to have issues with ART.
Zoom on 1080p mode "sometimes" works... if you set camcorder to 1080p, switch to camera, change res so zoom starts working again, and then switch back to camcorder... zoom will work on 1080p :silly: However, if you turn the screen off, or close and re-open the camera, the zoom will be broken again Also, once it stops working on camcorder, it'll probably stop working on camera as well until you change the resolution/picture size
4.4 mini-FAQ
Q) My recovery won't flash the 4.4 zip... aka "Status 7 error"... what do I do?
A) Get the i9100_SlimKat_4.4.2_compat_recovery zip from this post... flash it... reboot to recovery... be amazed by new TWRP recovery... then:
Wipe - Advanced - Select cache, dalvik, system (and Data if you want FULL wipe)
Install Slim ROM + Slim Gapps
Reboot
Profit!
Q) Root doesn't work!
A) From a clean build you need to enable root access for Superuser itself. This is different from some earlier versions of android (4.2 and below) in which Superuser by default had root access on a new install. To do this, go to Settings -> Developer options -> Root access. If an app attempts to request root access before Superuser itself has access, it may cause problems with that app in the future where root requests are silently denied.
Q) Developer Options? What Developer Options? I don't see that in Settings??!?
A) By default, this is conveniently hidden from view... as it does contain settings and options that can (and will) break stuff if you don't know what you're doing. If you require access to this, Settings -> About Phone... Then tap on the Build Number 7 times.
Q) How to change DPI?
A) Currently, this feature hasn't been ported... so either change ro.sf.lcd_density to the desired value in /system/build.prop, or you'll need to install Texdroider DPI from the playstore.
Q) I upgraded and lost my sim unlock, none of the unlock tools are working?
A) Unfortunately, I have nothing but Bad News™ for you Seems Samsung locked everything down and Google played along... Get a "proper" (aka carrier) unlock... or use older versions of Android... There is nothing we can do
Q) Music just randomly stops playing... and then won't work properly until reboot and/or drains battery?
A) Unfortunately, there isn't a whole lot we can do. Due to new SDCard handling and issues with FUSE, there is a strange quirk with Exynos4 devices like i9100 and n7000 where the system freaks out and dies... users have had various levels of success trying some of the following workarounds: 1. format sdcards with ExFAT (apparently can cause issues with backups and/or GPS apps??)... 2. Put all your music on internal SD...

Built from Slim Source, no changes whatsoever.
I, Cyril, am not a developer or maintainer of any sort
These are UNOFFICIAL builds, this device is no longer supported by the Slim-team.
The goal is to provide yet another Android 4.4 option for the SGH-i777.
I plan to build as time permits; no sooner than weeklies, and I'll be sure to capture stable releases.
Massive thanks to the @SteveMurphy, @RenderBroken, @razen_kain, @creepyncrawly, @4-2ndtwin, @nimper (and all of the i777 community) for the continued encouragement and support.
Speaking of community support, if the builds develop issues I will need your help finding and ironing out solutions. The biggest tip will be to see whether it's affecting the i9100 or n7000, and what they're doing about it.
If the builds start crashing, well that may be the end of SlimKat on the i777.
Happy Flashing
-Cyril

Yes, a very proud day!!!

Awesome! A new ROM to add to my collection. Thanks Cyril :thumbup:
Sent out from my RR Kit Kat Phone

Thanks for doing this. I will have to try it out in a few days. I just installed SOKP. Gonna give that a few days.
Anything not working that is easy to see such as GPS, etc. I was on PACROM for a long time and it seems to be killing my battery not to mention the GPS doesn't work on it.

Another new play toy. Awesome! Does this come with the correct modem, kernel, etc? Or do we need to flash them separate? I have all those if needed, just curious. Downloaded the ROM and Slim Minimal GAPPS to have something to play with while the kids are at school tomorrow.
Thanks for the port! Looking forward to trying it out!

Cool deal. Getting ready to flash it now. I'll give it a shot with stock kernel before deciding to use Render's for now. I like Slim builds so I'm pretty stoked to be giving SlimKat a try. Thanks again!

So Far So Good
Just flashed this a little while ago. Had a few issues with root permissions to begin with, even after going to Settings>Developer Options>Root access, but it's fixed now. Install SuperSU and selected to update the binaries, after reboot all was well and was able to uninstall SuperSU to use the built in superuser. Not sure what happened that caused all that, but it's whatever at this point :silly:
So far, I haven't noticed and issues. Even the APN settings for ST worked right out of the box. All my apps are restored and seem to be playing nicely. There were a few (Fast Burst Camera comes to mind) that didn't want to work even with Dalvic on other KK builds for the triple7 but it's all working here. Great job on this build sir. If I notice any bugs or anything that sticks out I'll let you know, but so far this is great. Keep up the good work!

an extra shout out...
I also owe @nimper thanks for quietly nudging me in the right directions several times, even beyond xda, when it's apparent that I'm operating at or beyond the capacity of my Android knowlege base.

I don't have it installed now and it's working fine. I've had this happen in other roms too dating back to 4.2.2. Must be something I'm doing with wipes or other things I flash with roms. Either way, it's resolved and working great. Good on the battery life so far too. I usually notice immediate huge drain when first installing a KK rom. This one is remarkably better IMO.
Now to get down to it and put it through the ringer :highfive:

Happy to help! I probably don't know any more than you do other than what I pick up from reading the forums and posts from the developers, but every little bit helps.

I ran the build, but I'm still just a messenger.
I certainly can't take any credit for how fluidly this firmware works. The Slim team is definitely crossing t's and dotting i's. There are several apps, (AOSP and third-party) that haven't worked correctly on other KK builds, that work flawlessly on SLIM.

[ROM][CM11][UNOFFICIAL] CyanogenMod 11 - LS990

Hi all. I have managed to piece together a build of CM11 that has working radio, bluetooth, sd card, gps, etc.
Here it is. FYI, I am not really a developer, This is my first attempt to build a project. In order to get it working I had to use the proprietary blobs from CM12 - the muppets - and make a couple of changes to the cm11 source code. The rest is straight from the cm11 repo's. I will post what I did at a later time so hopefully we can get these changes into cm11 so it builds properly.
Quote:
CyanogenMod is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 5.0 (Lollipop), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.<br />
Code:
#include <std_disclaimer.h>
/*
* Your warranty is now void.
*
* We are not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
* you point the finger at us for messing up your device, we will laugh at you.
*/
CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. You will need to provide your own Google Applications package (gapps). CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the CyanogenMod Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to CyanogenMod, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. Your changelog is whatever was merged into gerrit.
Yup. It's finally here. CM11 with basically everything* working.
*Working:
Pretty much everything:
WiFi
2G/3G/LTE
Camera (back and front-facing and LED flash,) camcorder works in 1080p, no 4k yet
Sound (little bit quiet)
Screen (duh)
Proximity, Accelerometer, Gyroscope
GPS (can drain battery really fast)
Bluetooth
SDCard read/write
*Not working:
Wireless Charging (it works but it's very, very slow)
NFC - (Might be a battery killer in current state, uninstall or freeze it in TiBu) <--Working on a fix
Installation Instructions:
*NOTE*: You must be Bump'd for this to work. This requires flashing via custom recovery
1. Download this and GApps (recommended PA GApps. For android 4.44. You can find on xda
2. Put both on Internal Storage or external storage
3. Reboot into recovery
4. BACKUP CURRENT ROM
5. Factory Reset/Wipe
6. Flash CM11 (I wiped all but interal and external)
7. Flash GApps
8. Reboot
9. ???<
10. Profit

Repositories are stock cyanogenmod with proprietary blobs from TheMuppets CM12 branch. A couple of edits to the ls990 device for cm11 - I will add later.
@invisiblek was pretty awesome in getting this going, much more credit goes to him than me, he really had the base for this, and now I just fix crap for the ls990.

Everything is fine but screen is still off when I finish talking. I need to push power button and screen on and then end the call.
No one is experiencing random app closes ? I open apps and they randomly restart or just close with out any notice of force closes. For example instagram will randomly send its self to the top of the feed when scrolling. Any solutions to this issue?
"Everything is fine but screen is still off when I finish talking. I need to push power button and screen on and then end the call."
This is an issue with just about every AOSP rom available at the moment. Probably gonna have to wait until someone manages to find a fix for the proximity sensor (someone submitted a fix and from what I read it still didn't fix it, yet). Once that's done it will likely be a simple addition to this rom. Sit tight. Once the holidays and their associated hangovers pass I am sure some more fixes will come down the pipeline.
seems this rom has the same issues as the cm12 builds... where the default SMS app won't send texts....
but thanks for the build.... pretty solid otherwise so far

When I used this rom I used the textra sms program and was able to get all texts working, mutlimedia, etc. Unfortunately, my ls990 gets blue screen of death on any of the cm11 or aosp based roms currently, which is a known issue that only affects what seems to be a small numbers of users that have what seems to be slightly different hardware boards.
I will do an updated build once this issue gets sorted out. Everything else seemed to work pretty well on this rom once you have textra installed. Advantage over cm12 is xposed modules work fine. Also I didn't have any network issues that I seemed to get while streaming with some of the aosp roms.

edit-
i'm on the cm12 builds now... i'd go back to this if there was an update to fix sms though (current cm12 builds it does work on) but i crash a lot more on cm12 than this build ever did

any chance for an update to this one?
just went back to it from an old backup due to cm12 just being too unstable....
this build would be almost perfect for me if the default texting app worked
battery life seems much better on this cm11 build vs. the newest cm12 alphas
thanks

I am waiting on a new build for cm11 until we get bluetooth issues ironed out. I don't think there have been a whole lot of changes to cm11 since my old build. The changes that we need to make this more stable are the bluetooth proprietary firmware / drivers it seems that the devs have yet to figure out.
Once we get this working fully I will do a new build of cm11.
Is there an update to be had here? Or has everyone moved on to CM12?

About Us:
Dirty Unicorns is a project that started out with no name. It was a project that was first created based off AOKP back in the early days of Jelly Bean because of curiosity. In the early days, it was just a one man show on one device (EVO 3D). However, many others have joined the project since and it has grown a lot. We have seen a wide variety of talent contribute to this project of ours and many of our contributors have gone on to help other projects, and that is ultimately why we do what we do.
Once Jelly Bean was over, we decided in Kitkat to move to a new base, which was OmniROM. While AOKP was fun, OmniROM proved to be even more exciting because it challenged us to see what we could with something different.
With Lollipop, we have moved to an AOSP base with a lot of patches from CAF to make our older devices function as they should. With that said, it has been an awesome learning experience and it's still not over! We are still learning every day and continue to move forward.
Few more things we will say is that we don't accept nor ask for donations. We don't believe in that. Everything that is necessary to keep this project going is out of our own pocket. Gerrit, Jenkins, Websites, Devices, etc.....
All we do ask is that you search, read and try to enjoy the process with us!!

Very impressive ROM. Lots of features included. Great work. Doesn't have the backlight/screen flicker issues some of the other lollipop ROMs have. This is my new daily driver, only problem is you can't record video still but I'm sure that'll get fixed sometime soon.

ambient display FC ....
bugs?
1. Google music stopped playing music after the first song played. After a reboot songs on app will disappear.
Used an app to scan media but still song won't play and will promt "DSP manager stops responding"
2. Google Play hang ups after google music bug happened
3. H+ icon on signal was a bit overlapped ob signal icon
4. No option to transfer app data to microSD
5. Some hang-ups on system and FC's on some apps.
6. Built in keyboard : popup characters are not displayed correctly
FYI
last thing, can I install other kernel? EX: Zombie Kernel http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z-ultra/development/anykernel2-zombie-t2926584
I flashed the ROM a few hours ago but with ZombieKernel instead of the CrDroid one attached. Everything seems to work well, the only detail is that I lose my WiFi connection sometimes or rather, it is connected but apps claim that they are unable to access the Internet. Turning it off and then on again fixes it.
The other item I noticed is that nothing happens when I try to add quick toggles.
Beside those minor things, everything seems to be smooth and stable.
I like all those Lollipop ROMs that arrived recently and it is a great performance improvement over KitKat even when I used optimized Bionic/Dalvik.

I did this 30 minutes ago and - knock on wood - it seems to work now (had the device on sleep while taking a shower and it still had WiFi connection):
Copy all the files in "/etc/firmware/wlan/prima" to "/data/misc/wifi/prima" and Reboot. (Don't forget the permissions)
Otherwise, it feels like Dirty Unicorns is a very promising project. Perhaps my WiFi problems was router related since my C6802 (Validus Lollipop) started to act up all of a sudden WiFi wise so I made a "Norwegian Reset" of the router and it seems to be OK now.
The only thing I hope is that future builds can be dirty flashed since the lack of working Titanium Backup (app restore) is a bit annoying. Some users recommended the zip method and I will consider that option (make a flashable zip), which could work since my C6602 is still running KitKat. I.e. that I restore my backup on my Xperia Z, make flashable zip out of it and then flash it on the two Ultra's I have.
It seems like the WiFi fix did it. It seems to have a reliable connection now. I also noticed a lack of APNs but put my T-Mobile one in from my head and LTE works great. An excellent ROM simply put.
Hi
Is this ROM compatible with MultiROM (does the kernel have kexec hardboot feature?) or do i need to flash the Zombie LP Kernel for compatibility with MultiROM?

I am afraid that the WiFi bug is still affecting me. I tried to make calls through Hangouts Dialer now and they simply timed out. The WiFi indicates connection but the sound disappears and a check with the web browser give errors about "no connection".
Since I like the ROM very much, I will flash it on my C6802 "Test Device" and return it to the C6833 when I see that the WiFi bug is killed.
It seems like it somehow "looses" the connection intermittently.

5.1.X Slim GApps
These builds are designed to be installed from your favorite recovery. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE LATEST 5.1.X COMPATIBLE RECOVERY.
Detailed instructions:
Going to EOS 5.1.X from another ROM:
Boot to recovery
BACKUP YOUR CURRENT SETUP!!!
Make a full wipe (Dalvik, Dalvik Cache, System, Data)
Flash the ROM
Flash optional kernel if you choose to not use provided kernel **We DO NOT support outside kernels**
Flash gapps
Reboot
Updating from an older EOS build to new EOS build:
You can usually skip the full wipe step and just wipe both caches. If ever you encounter an issue make sure you make a full wipe first before reporting it. This is what most call "Dirty Flashing". Normally this doesn't cause problems, but keep in mind a clean flash is always the best way to go.

Since we swapped to BitO's kernel, we seem to have the inherent usb issue. It's a very easy fix.
Just follow this little guide here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=62004266&postcount=584
Or just go in to the latest kernel folder here: https://basketbuild.com/devs/BitOBSessiOn/ShieldTablet/Kernel
Download the dtb file, extract it, boot into bootloader and run 'fastboot flash dtb <name of the dtb file>'
Reboot and rejoice in the return of USB.

As far as I can see. There is no built in support for any standard Nvidia apps.
I had the dreaded screen freeze (you did mention that). I've found it to be a little laggy here and there. Will test for a little bit, but badly miss Nvidia apps already. Cheers for the efforts
Thank you for this rom.
Everything seems to work as it should.
Have turned of screen lock and set cpu min to 300 mhz.
Will go lower to see if screen issue appear.
Edit. Screen get unresponsive after sleep anyway.
And wifi turns itself of sometimes.
But its an very promising alpha.
Thanks

I am using this build and so far so good. It doesn't see my sim from ATT, but I don't use it so no biggie to me. WiFi works good but doesn't connect automatically. Camera, GPS and all other basic functionality is good. Touchscreen works after sleep with no security, so that may be a good place to look for that fix.
I would like to see you develop this along with the WiFi version. I will run it and help with feedback. This could become a CM12 nightly!

Well I just got home from my day out with my wife and the touchscreen was unresponsive. So my trick didn't work either.
If the WiFi connected automatically and the touchscreen issue is resolved, this is what I want in a ROM. I hope you just use a flashable zip for the Nvidia apps. I took them out of the stock ROM, got twice the performance out of the tablet. I know some folks use them, so an option would be nice in that regard. I'll stick with it, let me know how I can be of help. This is a great effort on your part.
I just flashed the lte version as a multirom side rom. It doesn't see my t-mobile sim and I'm also getting the sod. Power and volume buttons work fine, but no touchscreen. I'll report back if I find more.
I am excited to see a CM based rom working. I've been waiting for this since I first got the tablet. Thanks for working on it.

Yeah, I saw the logcat on the hangout thread. It's losing connectivity at the hardware level. Doesn't seem to say why, though.

Hum thats a nice rom for a nice device; oh wait, my device is great, yours is mini lololol
congratz bro =)
I'll ask here the same here if you don't mind, as i won't be able to test this either soon myself... cann someone using this confirm if:
1. left/right cursor arrows are immediately shown when using keyboard (think so as it is a cm feature but in carbon for example you have to press a button first to see them)
2. is it possible to always show volume panel expanded
3. is it possible to assign long-press action to nav bar buttons to show volume panel without using hw volume buttons
4. can date be shown is status bar
finally recovery included in the rom is still cm one right? so twrp image should be flashed apart with rashr?
tia
Finally! SlimRom for our Z3C! Yes!
BTW: Did anyone managed to make Sony Camera app for CM based ROMs? Stock camera (Android camera) is horrible. Too much noise.... (yup, i lost my DRM keys and im forced to stay with stock FW with DRM mod)
EDIT: "Error executing binary in zip" FAILED.
Flashing via TWRP.
@moly82
1, as far as i recall, cursor keys are not shown immediately. there is an option to enable volume keys cursor control ( tbh i deleted the inbuilt android keyboard and use super swiftkey by djdarknight).
2. no. not at the moment but as stated in OP "SlimLP is currently in alpha/beta stage, some settings are already in place, much is still missing and it will come with time" so it may be a feature that's included at a later date.
3. you can assign long press on nav buttons to perform numerous tasks, unfortunately not the task you request.
4. Yes date can be shown in status bar.
and yes recovery is Cm, however i recommend flashing fotatwrp by kyasu https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=95916177934529111 apologies i assumed most people with unlocked bootloader would have flashed this by now.
cheers

same here! the long-awaited ROM finally arrives!! awesome! thanx @AnGrY sCoTsMaN! will report if any bug/s found(IF there's any!)!

@AnGrY sCoTsMaN
Thanks for your hard work!
I have a question before flashing - how is this ROM doing in terms of battery life? Also, does the Ambient Display feature work on our Z3c?
Thanks in advance!!
Awesome, working great so far. Thanks so much.
WiFi disconnects quite a bit - had the same problem with cm, but cm seemed worse than this. This is so much better so far.
Vibration sensitivity control is missing, I understand this is alpha, so that feature is probably coming in the future - but just thought I'll bring it up.
Cast button on quick settings doesn't work, but then it never worked with any other rom on this phone anyways.
The compass in quick settings doesn't work, is there a way to calibrate that? Looks like another cm issue anyways.
None of the above is suppose to be feature request - just hoping to help u make this awesome rom better.
Thanks again - my new daily driver.
My first boot is taking about 10 minutes now, is that normal?
Cheers.
@flintfirewalker cheers for the feedback. Yeah some features we usually expect from slim are still missing but I imagine slim will implement them soon enough. I only noticed the WiFi dropouts last night myself but will look to see if there is a fix. As for the compass, it appears to work in my quick settings, whether it's calibrated correctly is a different story.... I'm sure there will be an app to help calibrate it. I will stay on the look out for update and fixes. On the plus side... The dedicated camera button now launches the camera lol
Sent from my Xperia Z3C using Tapatalk
Hey you're right, the camera button launches the camera... Sweet. Been missing that feature since I dumped stock. The button doesn't take pictures or focus at the moment, but very promising so far. I'll be checking this forum frequently for updates.
Some bugs I've encountered:
1) when activated in power menu, airplane mode cant be turned off the same way (the button is "stuck"?), I have to turn it off from phone settings
2) when connected to the magnetic charger, celullar coverage gets destroyed and you cant get a signal until reboot
3) changing dpi causes play store to not display modal messages (like the one that shows app permissions) and recovery to fail (its not readable at all)
4) some apps fail to be updated, for example dashclock, need to uninstall completely from rom and reinstall from play store
5) battery life is awful (or maybe i´ve been to comfortable with stock amazing batt life)
6) screen rotation acts up (even though is disabled, desktop and app drawer still rotate), maybe is a launcher issue
7) NOISY camera (but thats to be expected)
All in all, a GREAT first release. Thank you so much for the time invested and for the port, I hope you keep updating and maybe become a device mantainer
Some requests:
1) slimsizer, I use it a lot (i like my rom to be MINIMAL)
2) a good kernel recommendation (battery life on this one is just sad)
On another note, do any of you have any apps broken since lollipop? Some of my favorite games dont seem to work (might and magic , platinum solitaire, bejewled are some of them)
I´ll keep testing today and report back any bugs
@daha2002 I would check our setup!
1, nope,working fine for me.
2, cant confirm as I'm at work right now.
3, nope,working fine here
4, hmm OK I'll look into it
5, fair play battery life not as good as stock, but you've not been running the rom long enough for a true evaluation of that.
6, nope, works fine here
7, yep

sorry for off topic question, but why haven't you published validus builds for z3c?:silly:
I wouldn't call the battery terrible. Yes , it's worse than stock, but it's pretty good for custom rom.
I'm guessing once the WiFi disconnecting problem goes away and maybe with another good kernel in tow, the rom battery will be as good as the stock.

We’re really excited to announce that we are releasing our Nougat flavour of Paranoid Android. We have a lot in store - with a mix of both features & improvements.
First & foremost, we have moved our code base to be fully CAF based. This brings many improvements to your device. The key improvement here is that Qualcomm hardware is better tuned on the CAF base and with our additional optimizations we can provide a smooth and fluid user experience that will let you enjoy using your device without any lags.
On first launch you’ll notice a clean setup with a beautiful wallpaper from Hampus Olsson who’s teamed up with us again and created several beautiful pieces of artwork. For those of you who don’t know, Hampus is a multi-disciplinary artist whose work stands itself and we’re glad to have him onboard. We have also added several new features and made improvements to the UI of the system that we believe would enhance the overall experience.

You may post.
This ROM was tested under the following conditions:
1. Wipe/Factory reset
2. Flash ROM, Gapps, SuperSU, in that order
Any other conditions may cause problems
This is the first build, there may be issues that I didn't test for, but major functionality is OK.
@ZakooZ
Is it possible to use the latest 7-11-17 kk_bl.img with this rom? It is from mosimchah from his AICP rom and includes the latest changes. I would like to give Paranoid a try but as you know I'm still locked on the old bootloader.

I highly doubt it
I just made this: PA_KK_BL_kernel.zip. Try it, flash after rom+gapps and before supersu. I haven't tested it so I can't guarantee it does work.
Okay, guys!
Short review!
I've tested the rom for a few days now and so far it is rock stable. All works fast and smooth and battery seems on par with AICP/LOS/RR.:highfive:
I'm missing a lot of features like more quick settings tiles, more customizable navbar, statusbar center clock and so on... :crying:
It's almost like stock android with another browser, calender and music app and theming options, which I've not tried yet.
I know, it's an early build but I need too much of additional apps to get the missing features back, so I'll switch back to my prefered rom for now.
Maybe when more features are added and the rom is more like PA in 2014/15 was....but it is a start!:good:
ROM Looks Tasty
I'm always up for a port that tries a new direction and this seems to do that. All my tests with new ROMS is always full format and wipe, running current stable TWRP, LP BOOTLOADER, etc. It looks like this work runs plain Super SU without Magisk, and you indicate open gapps. Could I use magisk at all? And I find the BEANS Gapps to be more reliable.
Not to pry, but where are you focusing now for these versions? Are you still going to keep up with the big changes that PA brings, or work further with Oreo developement?
Either way, I'd like to give this one a run just for fun.
Thanks as always for your work that keeps my tabs, and my wife very happy. ;DeanoD

I missed something here; I have Prime kernel on all my units. Is it essential to switch to the Lineage Kernel that you provide? Always curious about inter-compatibility with such things to keep it working well.
With that said, I need an updated to my TWRP version. In which order to flash TWRP, KERNEL, ROM, AND SUPERUSER. (Or TWRP, ROM, MAGISK- or is that asking for trouble? Thaks again. ;-DeanD
Solid ROM. Nice, Simple, Clean
I flashed this ROM last night, and so far, I'm very impressed. While it lacks some of the bells and whistles from the RR build, it has a solid feel to it. Speed and performance are great as well. Other than a slight keyboard lag, this could work well as a daily driver on my stable of three smp600 units. I started with one, found one online when my wife wanted one, and then I got another for backup (and tinkerin') . While the ROM flashed perfectly, the suggested kernel was a bust. But, the build is I think more robust than the other's I've tried. I do miss having a recents menu, and I haven't been able to find any pie controls. I'm glad that I was scouring the forums and found this gem. Great Work! ;-DeanoD
"Official Devices"?
I'm interested about the improved pie controls listed under the features of this ROM.
I could not find them. I'm guessing that my smp 600 is somehow not an "Official Device" for this ROM. Just curious. ;-DeanoD
With all apparent development at a standstill for all of there great ROMS from the crew here at XDA, I suspect that there are others like me who are having withdrawal symptoms. Dare I say that XDA further spoils us because we reap the benefits of ROM developments A LOT faster here than we would otherwise get from the OEMS. I still cringe when I see an ad for a "new" android device running VERSION 5! Then they put so much effort into the next new devices.
All I can say or offer is my sincere praise for the people here BEHIND the ROMS. But, can anyone PLEASE offer some glimmer of hope that all is not completely dead with our SMP600 just yet. And, if anyone needs testers, I am ready to run with any of the roughest draft ROMS. This one seemed to start with a great starting point and then just stopped. Any news at all? ;-DeanoD
So far I like the ROM it feels solid. I use my tablet for drawing mostly and I'm finding that palm rejection is not working. The apps that I use are Autodesk Sketchbook Pro and Adobe Photoshop sketch. Anyone else seem to be having this issue?

Yeah, I'm also having the same issue, on stock palm was rejected when the pen was recognized, that doesn't happen here unfortunately. Couldn't get my LeftureNotes app to work no matter what I chose for palm rejection. Otherwise great ROM!
@ZakooZ Did you will update the ROM to Paranoid Android 7.3.1 or to Paranoid Android OA1 ?
Has anyone been able to install Netflix and Disney+?
That are not available from the play store.

My only conclusion for that problem is that the SafetyNet may be broken.
Btw does anyone have this ROM still?

Is there a fix for this? Copy something from another ROM?
