[ROM][4.4.3]Stock Flashable of the T-Mobile - Moto X Android Development

ANDROID 4.4.3 from the XT1053
Hey guys...
As you know android 4.4.3 is available for the xt1053(T-Mobile) and will eventually turn up on other major carriers... but fo those of us who are impatient and would want to test it out i took the update and made a flashable zip out of it... It is completely stock and no apps were removed and it is rooted so only app added is the SuperSU app... I had no problems when i flashed it in TWRP but if ANYTHING goes wrong after or while u flash this dont blame ME!

I have also created a .torrent for your flashable zip:

I would prefer that people use the torrent if possible, because it will take some of the load off my server, and the more peers that download it, the faster the download will complete.

I've seen that you flashed XT1053 4.4.3 over XT1052 4.4.2. Have you tested your mobile network after? Both models have nearly similar 3G radio but what about LTE? Do you use it and are you able to use it after flashing?

I don't use LTE - so can't test it
2G and 3G is working normal

Can I back to flashable 4.4.2 rom?

Thanks friend. Great work.
I can't download of mediafire.
Is possible upload another server?
Thanks.

Yes. Since the bootloader version did not change from 4.4.2 to 4.4.3, you can safely downgrade from 4.4.3 to 4.4.2.
DO NOT downgrade to ANY version prior to 4.4.2 if you don't want a brick...
Good Luck

I have a Republic Wireless XT1049 running 4.4.2 stock, with unlocked bootloader and TWRP 2.7 recovery. I believe but am not certain that the phone hardware is substantially identical to the Sprint version (RW is a Sprint MVNO).
I would like to use this device with T-Mobile USA service. Is it safe to flash this ROM on my RW device? Are there any thoughts about if I would be able to use this device with T-Mobile? I know I won't get LTE.

will it work with xt1058??

Not possible. Both the Sprint and RW variants are SIM-Locked. You are correct that the RW and Sprint variants are 100% identical hardware-wise (they share the same FCC ID).
Sprint customers who meet certain criteria can request an OTA SIM-Unlock from Sprint, but this only unlocks for international use. You still can't use it on U.S. Networks (AT&T / T-Mobile).
RW users can't even get unlocked for international use, let alone domestic.
See here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x/moto-x-qa/request-to-make-sim-unlock-files-ota-t2639665
We are trying to figure out some kind of Sim-Unlock 'exploit' for the Sprint / RW variants, but no progress has been made so far. You are stuck on Republic Wireless....
Flashing another carriers rom (assuming you are bootloader-unlocked) won't work either - it's been tried.
If your X is in good shape, the RW variants are going for around $260 used on Swappa. You could sell your RW Moto X on Swappa, and buy the GSM Unlocked (or Developer) edition.

Worked on my XT1053 dev using PhilZ's recovery.
Thanks!

Run fine.... Thanks.

There is no update on the official page, maybe that's the origin of your problems... Nexus 4 has the last version 6.0.4.7
Official download page: http://www.clockworkmod.com/rommanager
So let's wait a bit for he next release
Is there something new in this version other than new number?

It's safe to flashbut there are a couple of issues with it. It flickers during installs and it can cause an error to have an install to abort. I'd stick with 6.0.4.5 for now.
6.0.4.7 worked fine up until 4.4.3 but on 4.4.4, I'm no longer able to view the newly created backup folder in a file browser. I tried using ES Explorer and Root Browser. I'm only able to view the 4.4.2 backup but not the 4.4.4 backup.

[ROOT/KERNEL] Root Method for FOF6 / 5.1.1

DO NOT USE ON FOG6 FIRMWARE. WILL "BREAK" YOUR CAMERA. CHECK YOUR FIRMWARE VERSION.
Root method for FOF6 / 5.1.1 for the G900t THIS WILL TRIP KNOX. If you don't want to trip knox don't use this. If you do use it and whine you tripped knox because you didn't read ,we will all point and laugh at you.
Named it TrapKernel because well its not my normal HispAsian Kernel and I listened to a crap ton of Trap Music while doing it.
Thanks to @g.lewarne and his root method with his Unibase and Unikernel for the s6 , we finally have root after I ported it over to us. So be sure to thank him for his work.
What's included:
Auto installation of root and busy box
SuperSu.apk
A stock build prop with secure storage set to false so wifi passwords and etc aren't forgotten after reboots.
Kernel set to permissive
Otherwise stock
So here's the deal. Stupid simple.
1. Download the kernel
2. Flash in recovery (if twrp asks if you want to install su say NO)
3. Reboot and profit.
If you need more detailed help go HERE
Download
TrapKernel
Special thanks to:
@g.lewarne for the obvious reason of being awesome and his root method for the s6. I suggest donating to him here [emoji14]
@muniz_ri for testing multiple tests
@jce8419 for testing also
@Chainfire for SuperSU

Yes thats fine, simply backup your current ROM in TWRP, then I would wipe and install the new ROM for best results, Try with out wiping first to see if it upgrades ok.

I would recommend not flashing the stock recovery, but it would be a good idea to flash bootloader and radio as well.
Sorry for a potentially dumb question, but is this only for those using Fi? Or will it activate under att just fine?
Can I flash this stuff on a Sprint enabled Nexus 6? And still use the Sprint network.

I assume so yes. I had been testing it on my international Nexus 6 and it connected with all my APN settings with out any issue. Just back up your current ROM first, before you flash., then you can simply restore backup if there are any issues.

Stagefright Fix

I have pulled the appropriate libs from the OH1 update and put them in a flashable zip for those of you who want a fix for the stagefright Vulnerability, but don't want to update. I am currently on the OC5 build and I flashed the zip and the vulnerability has been fixed.
IMPORTANT: I have only tested this on the stock deodexed OC5, I can not speak on if it will work for anything else. If you're not on the OC5 build flash at your own risk!!

Hey JoHnNYBlaZE716, the binary-script removes the calendar and stuff since the script was from another package. I am not that familiar with Stagefright but I assume only the library files are needed since they seem to be the only thing in the system path.
Code:
delete("/system/app/Calendar.apk");
delete("/system/app/GoogleCalendar.apk");
delete_recursive("/system/app/GoogleCalendar");
delete_recursive("/system/app/CalendarGoogle");
delete_recursive("/system/app/Calendar");
Sorry I took a zip I had laying around, I'll fix that asap

One of the 2 apps will show as vulnerable still due to Google not catching the issue all the way. It is something on googles end that's all I know. There will most likely be another update fixing it completely. The app you're using should only show one of them in red correct?

I honestly can't answer your question, I've personally only flashed it being on a stock oc5 rom. No one has reported any issues so I don't know why it wouldn't work. The files were pulled from the oh1 update for the sprint note 3

It sucks how? What do you expect from a 4000mah battery?
For me the battery is pretty awesome.. Can go for 3 days with normal use and a full day easy with heavy use...

I think batery is great. Almost double than my Nexus 6P.
I downloaded the ROM and did a local upgrade. I worked without any issues. But security patch level is unchanged ...
Can anyone confirm that if I buy a X720, I can just do the above out of the box, like literally download, rename, update from local, and have the official rom in less than an hour haha
I would buy one now!

Yes, but you need to verify that you buy One with a stock Rom. Some Shops seem to Flash a custom Rom. Just to be sure Check for stock Rom
Interesting....the firmware here is CLEARLY bigger than the one posted here?!
http://bbs.le.com//zt/eui/le_pro3.html
1,75GB vs 1,558GB for the V2.
Anyone an idea how that is possible???
Anyway I´m gonna flash the firmware I found there as I have some problems with the V2 firmware.
Wallpaper for example....I get FCs when trying to change it.

1.75GB This is Stock Official ROM from The Original source
Flashed this thing without any problems!
I could swear V2-Version made me sweat as it seemed to take years for the first boot.
With this official official ROM first boot is pretty quick. More bloat ware on the on hand on the other hand you can deinstall via launcher.
Biggest wish in future would be to have a reasonable keyboard. This chinese thing from LeEco is a real deep pain in the ass
I change to swiftkey either way but just the few steps until I can are already a bad experience and not "international" from my point of view.
Plain 163300 with this firmware (64/6 device!) before tuning so setting (ondemand, 2048kb read ahead, 128MB ZRAM).
Was anybody able to make any kernel tool startup at reboot? I have to set those at every boot.
I have the 727, so we can legit just flash the chinese rom on the first page then unlock the bootloader?
Edit: SOLVED! If you are on vendor rom and don't have system update in settings or as an app here is how I solved it:
1. Download stock ROM
2. Put file in root folder and call it update.zip
3. Open file manager on the phone, pick the update.zip and choose "upgrade"
4. Done.
I did this after installing twrp but it can be done just as well before installing twrp.

Yessir, that is the case. I did it with my x727 & bingo! The only drawback is loss of Band 12 & possible loss of Wi-Fi calling.
After I unlocked the bootloader, I installed a ROM from GrossoShop. It has Google Play Service built in.

There is another way to unlock as well. To avoid loss of bands

You are correct. I'm back on the US version, unlocked & rooted, thanks very much to @dr4stic.
