[Q] Vibration Intensity - LG G Watch

Is there any way to increase the vibration intensity?
Sent from my GT-I9505 using XDA Free mobile app

Nope. But software could make it longer than it would compensate for it.
Sent from my LG-F400K using XDA Free mobile app

I know it's just a very gentle vibration and sometimes you don't realise you have a new notification because of this, but my guess is LG did this to save battery.

Same issue here, vibration is way to light I can't feel it at all. Had no problems with my Pebble. Hoping they will at least have a software fix down the road.

It's actually appalling compared to the Pebble to be honest.
Does anyone have the Gear Live to do a side by side?
If it stays like this, I'm going back my Pebble. Vibration is almost non existent on this thing unfortunately.
Willing to live with the bugs as its V1 etc., but not 'getting' notifications due to this super weak motor, a fundamental for this platform, means I'll probably have to return it.
Got comfortable with my phone on silent and my Pebble to let me know whats going on.

Unfortunately, I don't feel the increased intensity after the rom install. Can you make it even stronger?

I think the problem is not that that the vibration is not strong enough, but that it only vibrates for a split second. If it would just do 2 vibration each 1 second with a short pause inbetween that would be fine. But the way it is right now is just way too short!

That would be great. Can you also make a pause inbetween so that it is 2 short vibrations? Thats how it was On the Galaxy gear and it worked great, never missed anything. Btw: Is it possible to create an APP where you could change all this (duration, intensity...)?

Edit: No need for this anymore. Just looked around in you ROM and found out what you did to change the vibration settings Thanks to you I was able to change it myself!

Also, I just pushed up preview 4 which has better settings in it.
Again, feel free to play with the settings until you get your desired results. I have to focus on what will get someone's attentions without killing the battery.

[APP]LightXT

Alright guys here it is. LightXT its pretty self explanatory. This does require you to be rooted. This is V.1 so there might be bugs but I haven't found any so you should be fine. This has only been tested on US XT720 running Khalpowers miui themed V3 but technically it should work on all models of this phone with the auto focus led.
Disclaimer: I am not held responsible for any harm this app may cause your phone or your LED light.
If you like this App please dont forget to hit the thanks button.
*****THIS APP DOES NOT TURN YOUR XENON FLASH ON IT TURNS ON YOUR AUTO FOCUS LIGHT***** sorry for the confusion
First!!!
Works great but i found a bug.
If you turn on the light and then rotate the screen you have to click 2 times to turn it off again...
But still awesome thanks!!!!
thanks. is the light supposed to be red? that's all Im getting
Yes its our auto focus light. Our actual flash is xenon which requires a charge to flash that's why no other flashlight app works so we created this one specific to our phone.
its amazing, thx! =))
this is amazing! thank you... thank you... thank you...
Thanks alot man! My buddy has been dying for this app and it works great. Any plans for a widget??
Just thought of something.
Could this somehow be integrated into say Khal's rom and set for use on media key?
That would be sick, probably just wishful thinking though.

Just Great...this can help me...Thanks
until a build in widget is added, the next best thing as a work around is to use

yup thats the only one that turns on our flash is a xenox so we can not just turn it on and off. thats why when you download a led flashlight app from the market ie. droidlight it does nothing. the apps are looking in the wrong place for the led to turn on and thats why we made this app ts made only for our phone and all other variants of this phone.
i feel like i wrote that before.

Instagram and ICS

Anyone having issues with Instagram on the ICS leak(DaGr8's)? When ever i choose a pic from the gallery and it takes me to apply the filter the phone just becomes unusable. There is nothing that i can do and i have to pull the battery. Is anyone else having this issue or is there something that i did wrong?
it's not just you, and I'm on the stock leak.
Its not just us, its on the problem section on the app on google play
I don't have to pull the battery. I dunno if you guys ever knew this, but if you hold the power button down for around 15 seconds the phone will hard reboot (same as pulling the battery). You will feel the phone vibrate, then reboot like normal Save your battery cover , just hold the power button down.

You guys do realize the Instagram team most likely only had the latest GB to test their app out on, right? ICS is a very small percentage of Android right now.

No, the Google team themselves had access to Instagram before launch. Hugo Barra is a good example of who had it beforehand. I'm pretty sure if not positive all the Android devices that Instagram took a photo of were seeded by Google.

and I don't see why they would purposely exclude ANY ICS device but they did. Pretty dumb.
ok I gotta ask this question, what is so great about instagram? I see it over the tech forums, everyone here seems to go wild when it was released for android. I just don't get it, it's a camera effects program that uploads your photos and geotags them? is it really that big of a deal?

Its more of a social media app. you have followers and you follow people. Kind of like twitter but for pictures. Even though Instagram doesn't work, MyTubo works fine on ICS. If you dont know what MyTubo is, its pretty much the same as Instagram but only for Android users.
Ahh, that explains why I have no idea what it is as I don't use social media systems
Yeah locks up after applying filter on Note however on Gnex it works fine.

some cool things I have found out,
it may be old news for you, and some were mentioned in tech blog space before
1. during my call, i turned the phone face down and it automatically turn to speaker. which was mentioned by engadget and ac, but see it working and give convenience, it is a good fun.
2. go to settings->apps-> all, I can actually disable quite a number of pre-installed bloats, without root or any other hacks. this is awesome. for example, amazon, viewnidi, vz navigator, vz backup plus all those bs, i can disable them, without worrying that if it will fc later or cause trouble =).
oh, disabling those stuff can give me much lower memory usage, and improve battery life because many of them are running at the background.
Guess what Titanium Backup uses to freeze apps by default on Android 4.x. It just uses that Disable feature as far as I can tell.
A few times when I've pulled my phone out friends have mostly just commented on the size, but I don't go on about it with non-tech people usually. I try not to be too showy.
As for cool stuff to do with it, it's really kind of gotten me in to digging in and finding mods to do to it on my own. I haven't really done that so much on my previous phones; only relied on pre-done mods, like I got the recent apps button to turn in to a menu button a good bit before anyone on the thread seemed to get it working, although a lot of the issues probably have to do with people using plain notepad, when better luck would probably be had with a "programmer's" notepad that'd probably load and save with UNIX style newlines.
Also, it gives quite a phone-bulge.

Certain apps/processes can't be disabled in stock Android, but TiBu let's me freeze them.
Honestly Youtube has to be the most impressive thing you can show anyone... the HD quality over 4g is simply great and then they try to load the same video on their apple crap and it looks like 8 bit mario... just make sure its a newer video from within the last year or so or the quality will be horrid.
mainly because everyone has that app and can compare side by side... and be like wow

That's when you may run into problem.
Having root access and do stuff like that, will give unexpected drags in some apps which will affect your battery life or other functions.
For example if some functions or apps are providing system level service to others, and unfortunately if some applications uses them.. and you frozed them... then it is totally depending on the app developers' handling in such case.
either kept polling , or throwing exceptions, FCs etc.

the fact that CIQ is labled not as such is sneaky, it wastes battery along with the privacy issues that most people who understand what the app does.
I turned it off through that special menu right after I got the phone, and it still shows as off in the updated T-Mobile My Account.
there's an app in the store called disable service. this isnt like other apps that run in the background to disable apps from starting, this doesnt run in the background. it changes values in services running on your phone so that they dont start up when you reboot. so go into the app and swipe to system apps. then click on android system. if you see iqservice with a check mark in it then it is really not disabled on your phone. uncheck iqservice then reboot your phone. now it is really disabled.

I know what it is. I also know that having one of the only variants with the option to turn it off and not have it baked into the stock ROM pretty much means it's not sneaky. Don't let me rain on your paranoia parade, though. CIQ has been on every carrier for years. T-Mobile lets you opt out without root or having to flash a ROM. Sneaky indeed.

Not sure what your problem is, it seems that you are the authoritative answer around this post [sarcasm\]. And while being able to disable it is nice, it's a known battery hog, has been proven to capture you keystrokes. I don't know, maybe it's better these days, however this is a matter of fool me once. And I'm not paranoid, I just prefer my privacy, period! And BTW, while we can disable it it is part of the base ROM, as it's in system. Now please loose the attitude, it's not needed around here.

There is no attitude at all. I just have a low tolerance for people who make things up and exaggerate, I guess. Can you name what Android phones released by a major carrier in the last 2 years didn't have CIQ? Everyone has known what it is since Trevor blew the lid off of it.

Watch face

Hi,
Anyone know how I can get the watch face on when I'm wearing it so that it looks like I'm wearing a watch instead of a blank screen. Basically keeping the time on at all time. I've tried everything and can't figure it out. Any pointers on the OwatchON would be great as well. I've tried configuring it but I must be doing something wrong.
The TS and other x201 smartwatches were never designed to have the screen left on all the time. Doing so will give you about 6hrs of battery at best from my estimates.
