In the fiist moment, the person that I called hears his voice like an echos. ( i have done a mistake: I have installed the wrong mod) i have done the backup restore and than I have put my backup rom.
now every person that talks with me or hears my voice like it is hoarse or as if I put a hand in front of the speaker . how is it possible???
according to you is, it a harware issue or i need to set my phone? is there an app?
thanks a lot

[MOD]Nexus One Low Mic volume(Shouting Syndrome) FIX

For over the years many people were left banging their heads on the wall because whenever you make a call u keep shouting on the phone but the other person cant here you. When you receive a call also the same scenario happens. I have changed two brand new N1 and faced the same problem. This is due to a very mediocre quality noise suppression mic available on the top left side on the back of your phone. Most of the time it fails to identify your voice and mixes it with noise and you are left screaming on the phone. This is more common in AMOLED versions.
Now to fix this problem, you require a rooted cm7 or miui rom as i havent tested it till now with ics or jb.(Testers needed)
1. Download the build.prop editor by jrummy from market or from here. Install it.
2. Give root privileges(on miui you have to enable root)
3. Open the build prop editor and in the search box type 'media'
4. You will get a line 'media.a1026.enableA1026' with attributes '1' ie its enabled. Its the noise suppression mic.
5. Change the attribute to '0' and save it. It will disable the noise suppression or secondary mic. It will ask for reboot and press yes. After that uninstall the app if u want or keep it. But don't touch any other settings.
6. Now make a call, and this should fix the 'shouting syndrome'.
7. Press THANKS if I was able to help you.
I found this in my build.prop for my current ROM.
Can you identify what it does?
media.a1026.nsForVoicRec=0
If u change its attribute to 1 it will enable the noise suppression mic hardware for voice recording or any recording software but it should remain disabled...else either you wont be able to record anything if ur phone has 'shouting syndrome' or if not only voice will get recorded and the background noise will be suppressed...My recommendation is to leave it disabled.
i cant find that line in built.prop, im using PA 3.68 JB
Its bcoz I think PA is a port n not souce compiled.
I thot its a very useful post...cant the mods make it sticky ??? :s
it mean this mod can fix issue of incoming call? ( loud sound like speaker turn on and caller cant hear my voice while incoming call)
dontknow about loud sound like speaker...mean frm where...speaker or loudspeaker????n yea it will fix the issue of other party not able to hear u.

Yes, I need this feature as well.
As far as I managed to understand, problem is the lack of ability for line recording, as opposed to microphone recording which is enabled. Obviously with microphone recording, the far side's volume is very week, so that's why you it doesn't work properly.

Thanks. Still same problem. I asked for help in this thread, as this app seems very flexible and dev seems pretty responsive.

The problem with call recording is in kernel. Our kernel does not support 2 way recording (so both voices recording from line). It will record from headphones. No way to fix with any problem. Only way is to add 2-way call recording in kernel.

That's not entirely true. If you look at what I wrote in this app's thread to the dev, I managed to produce a scenario (involving the headphones) in which I managed to make it work.

Yeah, using headphones. With speaker it will not work without line recording imo.

It does in one very awkward scenario. Copying here what I wrote in the Boldbeast call recorder thread. Here's the scenario:
- Plugged headphones
- Made the call and started recording (Let's call it stage 1). At this point I couldn't hear the call sound in my headphones, but still in the phone (no such problem if I don't record)
- Turned speaker on (stage 2). Now I hear the call in the speaker of course
- Turned speaker off, at this point I could hear the call in my headphones (stage 3)
Now when playing back the recording, I could see that in stage 1 I could hear the far side low, but in stages 2 & 3 I could hear it fine.
Note that stage 3 is the interesting one. The speaker is off, I hear the sound in my headphones, and the far end is recorded fine.
I really can't put a finger on the reason to the problem. I'm just saying I reached a state where I could record a 2-way call, without having the speaker on at this stage.

Had problems in the past uploading videos, so will guide you step by step. Please try to keep up.
First of all make sure your device is properly rooted and that you uninstall all other call recording apps.
Now install BoldBeast call recorder.
After installation, go to the application setup, Call settings :
- Set call recording mode to 22
- Enable root options (took me a few times until it worked, but it should work)
- Fix Recording Issues - mark all options except for Auto switch speaker on
(On a side note - these settings were the only ones that somehow worked. You are welcome to try other ones)
Now after setting this up, you will see a record icon for any call you make. Clicking it will start recording the call (showing a blue paw icon in the status bar). You can then hear the recorded calls by selecting the phone icon in the app.
Now to scenario I described:
- Plug your earphones in
- Make a call
- Click the record button. At this point, you won't hear the audio in your earphones but still in the phone
- Turn the speaker on, then turn it off
- You will now hear the audio in your earphones
Now after you hangup, you will hear both sides of the call starting the point you turned the speaker on and off.
This is really awkward. I guess christi is right by saying that the problem is in the kernel/ROM (as it worked properly with stock JB & KK). In addition, this app's dev told me it should have worked for me (using another mode - 34), and that he couldn't help if it didn't. So, I guess that until the kernel/ROM is fixed, we won't have call recording working normally in this ROM.

Firstly, I got my device back. Secondly, I have never ever promised anything like that. I said that I will watch on it and see what can be done, so never promised a thing. This is not a priority for me since it's not my job or anything like this. I am making this for free and I have never charged anything so far. Who wants can donate, but again, I am not charging, so I am making this when I want/ have free time/ have the mood for it. If you still doubt it, or anyone does, I have the pm saved. Please don't say I promised when I didn't do such thing. Things like this drive me nuts. Have a nice day.
cool man.. i just said simply.. dont be serious. sorry if i anything did wrongly..

[SOLVED] Background noise reduction on call

Hi,
It seems to me that since the Lollipop update, the background noise reduction during calls is defective.
Indeed, if the option is enabled (Parameters/Calls), my voice is less and less audible for my interlocutor. If I disable the option, the voice is good.
Is this a problem with lollipop or my second microphone is dead?

this is problem as far as i know since jelly bean and im wondering why did they ever put sutch option when u cant even use it...yes i know when i turn it off its all fine when turned on, all calls become very low on volume and sometimes echo acures...theyx could or should solve this for once and for all but anyway not a big prob for me...i had xperia Z before and i think it somehow worked there but with the xperia Z2 NoiseCanceling is a bad... but with NC headphones i can confirm that i was talking on the phone while riding motorcycle and the caller on other side heard me like i was in some room without any wind noise or whatsoever...so it really works with NC HP and second MIC IS NOT DEAD...hope i helped u make solve that question.cheers
Thanx,
So I never had to activate this option before. And that's when I searched in the new lollipop menu I had the "wrong" idea to do so.

This happened to me on KitKat,. It only happens when you flash a different customization version.
I rooted the Z2 and flashed a Generic ROM from another country and the Noise Reduction broke and Lollipop I flashed the Baltic Generic version and here too the noise reduction breaks. When i revert back to my original ROM the noise reduction works perfectly.
I'll try when the update will ne available for my country.
Guys let's team up and send some complaing emails to Sony to fix this ****. I can't use that option and it's really useful sometimes.

Xperia Z2 microphone not working in call

My Xperia Z2 (D6503) Android 5.1.1 - has problem in microphone. When I make a call, people can't hear me. But when I use Audio Recoder, the microphone works fine. I wonder if my microphone is broken or not, because it still work fine in Audio Recorder. Please help me to solve this problem. Thanks!

Under the Google App voice settings, try disabling "OK Google" detection "from any screen".

I am quite not sure, but apparently everyone in this thread are having hardware issues rather than software.
I would bring it to some professionals in a proper phone shop and try that.
