Unable to receive calls - Sprint LG G3

Strange issue, I could send/receive text messages, and I could also make calls, but when trying to call my phone from another phone or if anyone else called me it would just ring like normal and go to voicemail, but my phone wouldn't ring or indicate that I had a call / missed call. This was fixed after a reboot but has anyone else had this issue?

I have the same issue I tried a reboot but the problem keeps coming back did that fix it permanently for you? Sometimes calls come in other times it just shows up as a voicemail.

My mom's G3 exhibited this issue over the weekend, waiting to see if it comes back.

I haven't had the issue since, but then again I wouldn't know unless someone texts me that they've been trying to call (I don't monitor my voicemail that closely...probably should though).

I've seen the exact same issue as well. I won't even get the call but the voice mail will show up if the caller left a message. Hopefully this is just a bad connection to the cell towers at the time the call was trying to get through and not some other issue.

Hi coming from the M8 forums and checking things out, and I had this issue and it was due to the tower being worked on in my area. I didn't have service for an entire month at my office or apt, which are less than a mile apart. Now I have poor data service but i can receive calls. You might want to contact Sprint and let them know ASAP

I cant receive calls but i can do outgoing and sms to others weird using international unlock lg g3 sprint

Same here...maybe 2 out 10 test calls I tried went through. I called sprint and they instructed me to re-provision the device using some ##7..something..something## dialer codes. My phone magically receives calls, but I have a feeling their re-provision crap didn't do anything to fix, it was just the re-boot part that "temporarily" fixed the incoming call problem.

RADIO PROBS? Are you having any "sms message not sent" probs?

I've been trying to solve some intermittent probs with messages that may be due to radio probs or possibly probs with handcent SMS.
When using the quick reply usually the message appears to go then a few seconds later I get the red triangle telling me message not sent. If I then resend, the message goes without an alert, but it appears it doesn't get to the recipient, even though it shows still in my thread.
Just wondered if anyone else has had similar probs, with or without Handcent
I have also been experiencing probs like the number being "unavailable" to folks calling me when I know its not, and with calls dropping out
So I had been asuming it was possibly a radio glitch, and swapped from 2.3 to 2.2 MCR, then changed my radio to 6-18EU and then to 5-31BU and I'm currently on 5-15U which is seeming the most stable.
I'm on TMOB in UK

It seems there is a few issues.
I have confimed instances of not receiving incoming calls at random intevals, I cannot pinpoint what is causing them. People say they have been trying to ring me and its just going to voicemail. I tried it myself randomly and 1 in 10 times it would not ring, no reason, had full signal!
As for SMS, I do get (quite low) occasions where a text wont sent, but when retrying it sends straight away, not sure why this is.
I've also had issues when trying to ring someone, my phone will just hang up and not even get to the point of ringing / going to voicemail. This can happen about 5-6 times before actually getting a ring out.
I've tried all the radio's available and they all seem to be the same. Pretty poo as I use the phone for business and I cannot afford to be losing calls.
I'm on o2 uk and always have my mobile data on, not sure if this could be causing it.
Yes, I get that, and on occasion emails not sent. But assume that comes down to the not great signal of the phone. Also, the SMS can freeze on occasion and you have to wait before you can slide through the individual users messages to look back.
Hi,
since I'm having the same kind of issue and got answer from support an relatives, maybe if you follow that thread we'd all get the answer we need

I am having similar issues using the standard messaging app. I have also noticed more recently that I find my handset with no signal for extended periods, I often have to restart to get the signal back.

I have exactly the same problems with stock radio on T-mobile uk so it seems its a problem with the phone rather then particular network if it appears on o2 as well... its quite annoying to be honest where someone is trying to reach me and it goes straight to voicemail 5 times in a row and I know that my phone has been on the desk all the time with good signal..
for t-mob uk try the 07-08 radio
ive got it and it works prety well

I already have 07-08 radio!!
i occasionally dont receive txts til about an hour after they are sent and sometimes the same person has problems calling me also on a rare occasion it says number not recognised when i call them back.
very strange and even more annoying as its my gf's number it doesnt like lol.

[Q] No incoming calls

I've had the Galaxy S2 for about 2 months now without any problems.
As of last Friday, I can't receive incoming calls. People who try to call me hear one beep and then they get my voicemail.
Outgoing calls work just fine, as does SMS (incoming and outgoing).
I've put my T-Mobile SIM in another phone and then it is able to receive a call. Another SIM in my phone -> same problem: no incoming calls.
So I figured it must be the phone.
Customer support has started an investigation but that can take up to 1 week, so I thought let's ask XDA.
Can it be a simple setting that I've accidentally changed? Pretty often when I take my phone from my pocket, the screen is unlocked so that could be a cause.
If anyone has a clue or an identical situation, please let me know.

Does your phone ring when a call comes in and also does it go straight through to your voicemail?

Straight to voicemail. But I've figured it out after 3 days
There's an option to automatically block all incoming calls in the settings. Must have accidentally been activated when the phone was in my pocket.

Hello my girlfriends SGS 2 has almost the same problem it cannot receive calls sometimes even though she can call everyone. The problem seems to fix by itself sometimes and it appears random.
I read that there was a problem with the samsung galaxy s when using 2G/EDGE connection with data activated and the problem was that the user could not receive calls randomly.
Can you confirm that you are using 2G/EDGE connection and Data activated? I am also trying to find the cause of this problem...
Hope my research helps good luck and waiting for your reply. (http://www.samsunggalaxysforum.com/...eive-incoming-calls-and-sms-while-using-edge/)
Later EDIT ---
She also has a vodafone provider but i have the same provider and never had this issue. Also no call filtering is done.
Make sure Call Forwarding is Disabled under Settings- Call- Call forwarding. And also try to delete the Voicemail number if you had set any.
Regards.
it's nothing Call Forwarding is Disabled related it is because of EDGE connection you can't have a sync or internet connection and while "dialing" data receive calls if you want to call anyone the network prioritizes and let's you dial whoever you want but it is not the same thing for incoming calls
^ Went over my head !
had the same problem in a bad 3g/data coverage area. solution was simply to turn data off and the calls started to come through.
turned data back on and now working ok.

Help, Sending Callers Directly to Voicemail

I received a replacement Atrix today and for some reason, it is sending callers directly to voicemail. I only know that they called if they leave a voicemail. I can't seem to figure out how to change it.

You need to go back to your service provider and have them check your phone and SIM card. This usually happens when the system cannot "find" your device on the network meaning something isn't connecting correctly. It's the same thing that happens if your phone is turned off. Network sends out a signal to see if your phone is there, gets no response, sends straight to VM.
Alright, thanks. The weird thing is the phone works fine when I call out. Only problem is when people call me. They sent me the phone with a new SIM, but it didn't work so I put my old SIM in which I'm thinking might be the problem. I'll run up there tomorrow and bring both SIMs to be sure.
settings - call settings - Call forwarding. Make sure Always Forward is disabled.

No voice call if receiving text?

Has anyone noticed an issue with voice calls going directly to voice-mail if they come through at the same time as sending or receiving texts?
Background:
I have G-voice installed and running strictly as my voicemail service. This works out well for me as it will send me an email notification of a missed call whereas without it if I have no coverage and someone calls me I would never know about it.
I am a Firechief for an oil refinery and I use the phone as my fire call-out pager too. Its rather important that I get my calls.
I have noticed in the past that people would tell me they called but it went to my voicemail. After installing and using G-voice for voice mail, sure enough when they told me that, I would get a missed call notification from G-voice.
We use a call-out system called Send Word Now that will send me a voice call and a text message together when activated. Apparently is at exactly the same time because when I tested it I would only ever get the text mesage and a missed call notification.
My Question:
Has anyone else noticed this and figured out why? It would seem that with a 4G connection and all the data bandwidth available the phone should have no problem doing both. In fact, I can get plenty of text mesaages or incoming calls if I am already talking on the phone.
Just as an update to my own thread in case anyone searches this oddity. The messaging center today informed me that they know of the issue and ALL phones and providers will act the same way. As in, if you get an oncoming call at the same time you are sending or receiving a text the call will go straight to voicemail.

[Q] Incoming calls not coming in.

Had this ongoing problem for about 3 weeks. Just wondering if anyone has experienced anything similar. People call me and after 4 rings get my voicemail. My phone never rings, never vibrates, shows no indication of an incoming phone call, even though if I look it at it I see 5 towers and 4G/LTE. Sometimes if I make an outbound call after that I can receive a call or two but eventually it'll again go into this strange "you don't need to talk to anyone mode". If people leave a voicemail I get immediate notification and TXTs and emails continue to come in. I have to restart the entire phone and this only fixes the issue temporarily. I never installed any alternative dialers or anything that might cause this.
Device: Motorola Droid Razr XT912
Firmware: 4.1.2. Please help me to fix this problem.
