One of the devs from the Timeshift 4K thread in cross device section said he needed system dump from Ultra to see if it might work. As far as I know no one ever supplied one.

It will upload forever...lol
There are samples on youtube
Lets say the camera is the best from sony
--the camera is certainly above avarage and close to alot of nokia cameras in terms of focus speed, noise and sharpness
(Information based on 4k samples on youtube recorded from Xperia Z2)

YouTube compresses to hell. 4k on YouTube isnt 4k even though it says so.not even 720p looks good for its res.

Maybe 3 sec is not 1GB but may I ask what you will do with a 3 sec sample?
To get a good understanding ot that sample I think you need a bit more.
BTW, at the moment it will impossible to get that sample as the Z2 it's not bayed by many at the moment.
I just need video Codec info. Some people in Asia already own a z2.

try using ''MX Player Pro'' ?
@DUHAlgerianSkills Yes, but same... I think you have t800: as hardware is same, do you have freezes?
You need a 13 megapixel or higher camera to record in 4k resolution. All versions of the Tab S only have an 8 megapixel camera so it is not possible.

Ummmm..... the resolution of the screen is 1600x2560 for both tablets. Neither tablet supports video out (through an adaptor) at anywhere close to 4k resolution. So what is the point? You do not gain anything for getting a 4k video to run and you end up withna file that takes up extra space or bandwidth.
I kinda understand wanting to record 4k video, but my issue with doing thst is that if you want to record a file that is going to contain that much visual clarity you probably should pick a better camera lens then what you get on the average tablet/smartphone.
I love the screen that Samsung has put on the galaxy tab S. I love the fact my 8.4" is retina (impossible or at least very hard to notice individual pixels) at a distance of 10" (12" for the 10.5" model).

idk
I managed to record video in 4K 24fps using the open camera or LG camera app has the playstore
I know the files are huge, especially using superfine pixel resolution and other picture enhancing features. I have a Samsung NX1 camera which records 4K video, and UHD 4K, and it uses approx 100MB a minute. That's not as bad as a Red Dragon Video Camera, which records video at 250MB a second.

Video improvement

Do you think that the 4k record on mate 10 will be improved by software updates (like what op did with op5's camera)? Actually the stabilization is terrible and it also seems to have problem with focus...
I think OIS is bad in Mates, compared to other phone I have seen on YouTube.

That's why I'm still not sure if i get mate 10 or pixel 2,the video is bad on mate series compared to other phones.
Right now I'm also not sure if i get mate 10 ,the video is bad on mate series compared to other phones. If anyone have any information please share us.
I don't think the video is bad. I think the OIS is not that good but hopefully that can be fixed in a software update. Who knows.

You said "not that good".. do you mean not that good when recording 4k videos ? As far as I undertand Mate 10 has digital video stablization only @1080P/30fps and not in 4K.

Xiaomi mi 8 960 fps cam video

hello XDA people, I created this video of the slow camera 960fps, and I would like you to see it, I think it is not 960fps, it is interpolation, but hey, I do not know much about cameras ... thanks everyone

It is 240 FPS interpolated to 960 FPS

Question Recording 4K 60fps in 16:9?

According to TechNick's review video, Xperia 1 III has no option to record 60fps in full 4K resolution of 3840×2160 (16:9), but only cropped 3840×1644 (21:9), even in Cinema Pro. Is this true? If so, would there be any workaround to record 3840×2160 @ 60fps? I pray someone makes a mod to unlock this functionality.

mcpro24fps this one might help, i saw ssomeone mentioned about it on youtu.be
I am waiting om my shipment, so can not verify that is a solution. Sorry
There's a free and open-source solution if the camera hardware supports 4k60 - OpenCamera. Works great with recent Sony phones because there isn't too much proprietary stuff in camera hardware.

the problem is, on my device it didn't have access to other sensors than main 24mm and the front-facing one.
I use filmic pro and mcpro24fps
