Hello,
I present to you very shortly and quickly the new MIUI ROM (multi-language) translated from the Official ROM for OnePlus One : ROM MIUI 4.9.5 (V5). This is the first translation of the first official release !
To download and try this address :
http://media.celogeek.com/roms/android/miui/4.9.12/xiaomi.eu_multi_A0001_4.9.12_v5-4.4.zip (languages available here : http://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/4-9-12.25694/)

Installation MIUI (or other ROM flashable with custom recovery) :
I remind you that neither I nor the forum we take responsibility for anything, everyone is aware of that is going to do.
Let's go :
1. Download the MIUI ROM and put it in your phone storage
2. Make sure your phone is properly detected by your PC
3. Boot phone in Bootloader Mode (Volume Up and Power) and flash a custom recovery like CWM Advanced Edition Philz Touch (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2201860)
4. Reboot in Recovery Mode (Volume Down and Power) and choose :
- Wipe and Format Options -> Clean to Install a New ROM (wipe datas, cache & dalvik-cache)
- or with other custom recovery : wipe data/factory reset -> wipe cache partition
5. After install the ROM, choose :
- Install Zip -> Choose zip from /sdcard -> select your ROM MIUI -> Reboot System Now
- or with other custom recovery : apply update -> choose from internal storage -> 0/ -> MIUI rom -> reboot system now
6. Enjoy MIUI v5 for OPO !
Notes:
If 4G is not enabled, use this procedure with the phone keypad *#*#4636#*#* then "phone information" -> "Set preferred network type" -> "TD-SCDMA, GSM/WCDMA and LTE" (or LTE/gsm auto)
Good flash

Sorry, I have not found how to do... I'm not sure it is an integrated option in the ROM... maybe with a tweak.

some notes
1) it works perfectly with multirom
2) to install, in the updater script you must remove the first line (TWRP and european Oneplus)
3) WSM tools works with reboot option but Mi-Tools doesn't work for me...was anyone able to make them working?

Can we use custom kernels?
Sent from my A0001 using XDA Free mobile app

Lesson learned
I decided to try this rom so I figured I would do the safe thing and went into recovery and did a complete back up and then installed this rom. Didn't really like it so I thought I would go back and restore my previous rom guess what my custom recovery was gone and all my roms that were stored on my phone. Had to redo everything which took a very long time. So imo use multi rom and install along side of other rom so that you can go back and forth between them. That way you can decide which one you want to use as your daily rom.

i flashed it yesterday for a short time, cause of missing german language i decided to stick with cm11 nightlys
But as few said, the recovery was gone, i cant confirm this, my philz recovery was still there and i could restore my cm as normal!

i assume since it is rooted that you already have clockwork recovery installed.
hold power and vol down to boot into recovery
select wipe cache/factory restore
select install from zip
select the rom i showed you
reboot!
you must put the rom in the root of your tab first
use androzip to move it there

sorry but still a newbie here and i might get annoying to some peeps here but just very cautious on how this would work. so i'm going to ask question
factory restore - does this mean i'm going a clean up and unrooting my device? from the steps above? is the end product going to have the touchwiz update or is this the touchwiz update with a email sync problem? where does the touchwiz update happen? i didn't see that step above?
lastly.. is there a video i watch to see this in action.
galaxytabhacks.com is a bit slow on updating their video's on how to update a rooted GT 10.1 with touchwiz update...
thank you all for the current post and i'm sure that there are many users here that will appreciate this information.. (for all you do please post and cheer on the peeps that helped us out).
how did you root your device?

install
reboot
you are now on the latest tw rom with root...easy!

almost confident
ok.. so go to clockwork recovery - i know how with that two options (icons by pressing those buttons)
make a backup - don't know how?
factory reset - i'll read up
install zip from sdcard - done it before
install - if i find it i'll select install
reboot - hopefully
so how does the backup work - any steps.. where can i find that option. thanks again for all these information..
in the main clockword recovery menu select back up and restore ...select backup
these are all in the main menu of cwr... dont worry about the wipe/factory restore just select it and do it.....make sure you put the new rom in the root of your tab first. just like you did with the root.zip when you rooted
put the new rom zip in your tab
boot into cwr
make a back up
do a wipe/factory restore
select install from zip
select choose zip
select the rom zip you downloaded and put in the root of your tab
install
reboot
this is from the first link i gave you
Here is the clockwork mod menu
- Reboot system now (self explanatory )
- Apply update from SDcard. (when you connect your device to your computer it will show up as tablet. The SDcard that cwm refers to is simply your device storage. Always make sure to copy install.zips to the root directory of your tablet storage.) You use this when applying an update for a specific ROM if that is what the ROM developer says.
- Wipe Data/ Factory Reset You should always do this before you install a new ROM or if you are having minor issues with your device.
- Wipe cache partition Think of this as the lite version of whats above . If you do above though it doesn't hurt to do this too.
- Install zip from SDcard Use this to install new ROMs.
- Back up and Restore
- Mounts and Storage use this to connect your device to your computer when in recovery mode. It is also possible to transfer files to your device while in this mode.
- Advanced What you are interested in here is something called dalvik cache, you want to wipe this too before installing any new ROM
- Power off
this is the main menu of clockwork recovery
backupand restore...wipedata/factory reset...install zip reboot are all on this menu

My io tab went into that infinity loop so I flash it by fast boot, but then accidentally rooted it? i guess, as I see the superuser icon.
How do I get it back to stock. I have no backup with it at all....and don't know what is happening.

First time rooting + flasing Rom (CM 9 or 10?)

Hey all,
I'm happy with my Tab 10.1 but it can be sluggish and so I decided to root it and install some kind of rom.
For rooting I found this guide on here which seems pretty simpel and useful.
But now comes the real question how do I proceed after this to instal a rom. Which one do I choose?
Is CM10 stable enough for me to try it, or should I go for stock 4.0.4?
And is there a proper guide on how to instal this?
Thanks

Error while trying to flash to JellyBean
About a week ago I flashed my P7510 (Wi-Fi) with this rom cm-10-20120728-EXPERIMENTAL-p3, I had all kind of issues, screen rotation, on the lock screen stating its charging while the battery stated its discharging even connect to the wall, etc.
I was able to go back to the backup I took before I flashed the tab, but now every time I try to flash the tab to a newer rom I get the following error:
Assert Failed: Getprop (“Ro.product.device”) = =”p4wifi”
Getprop (“Ro.product.device”) = =”p4wifi”
E: error in /SDCARD/ 31-07-12-13-30-jellybean-alpha-p4wifi-sig

Installation aborted.
After doing a wipe of the cache and data I also get the following error:
E: unknown volume for path [/sd-ext]
Can anyone help me?
Thanks in advace.

I went with the UK ICS rom, seems to be working fine.
Otherwise you can follow this I RECOMMAND YOU CM9 MORE STABLE THAN CM10:
- Make a new download of the ROM from pershoot droidbasement
- Download the last CWM (recovery file)
- Download Gapps from goo.im
> Copy ROM and Gapps on the Tablet
> Flash the CWM with Odin 1.85 and USB cable (In PDA field)
> Boot in recovery mod (YOU SHOULD MAKE A FULL WIPE / FACTORY at this Step if you have backup of your datas otherwise tablet should freeze at boot animation)
> Choose install zip from sdcard
> Select the zip ROM and confirm the update
> Choose again install zip from sdcard
> Select the gapps zip and confirm update
> Return to the first menu of CWM and reboot system
Enjoy !

Which ROM you choose really is up to you - that's the beautiful thing about Android. Really, the sky's the limit! Well...what's available is the limit but you know what I'm saying
Do your research on the threads under Android Development - all the ROMs that are available for HC, ICS, JB, etc. Think about what YOU want out of your tablet...are you wanting to be on the cutting edge of development where you want an experimental JB that may have some bugs in it, or do you want something super stable and creamy smooth like a custom HC? Or, do you just want to speed up your stock ROM with a custom kernel?
There's SO much on here to explore. It's taken me two weeks just to get to a point where I'm comfortable flashing! I'm running CM10 right now but have been through a couple of other ROMs. Task650's Galaxy Task 14 is a great ROM too.
It's always a good idea to take a Nandroid backup once you go any further...for example I have a Nandroid backup of my unrooted image so to get back to stock I can just restore to that.
Basically when you're ready you just download the ROM of your choosing to your tab (and any required supplementary files - READ THE INSTRUCTIONS ON EACH THREAD VERY CAREFULLY). Reboot into recovery, take a backup, and follow the instructions given by the developer TO THE LETTER for installing the ROM. I highly recommend doing a full wipe of your device (cache partition, data/factory reset, Dalvik cache) before installing any new ROM to ensure you don't run into any issues.
You have all the support you need on this forum to resolve any issue you may have - just make sure you search the threads DILIGENTLY before asking questions, and post questions in the appropriate place - you should be fine!! GOOD LUCK AND HAVE FUN!!!
I completely agree with you ... very good post!
I said CM9 because the tablet is recent and it was nice to see the result with this rom ...

Yes you can also follow this with cm9 or cm10, if you take the recovery file in the same folder than the rom (you should test cm9 first because more stable ... but it's my advice)

Boom, the next great rom by TEAM-OPTIMA!!!!Great work
GREETZ FROM TEAM-OPTIMA!!!

SAMSUNG GALAXY YOUNG 2 ( sm-g130 )

All of us have, one wish to have a custom rom on our device.
After few days of web browsing, I founded one really cool possibility, and that is idea of using
SAMSUNG GALAXY V CUSTOM ROM.
Thats true we can use them all, and all of them can be finded on :
http://www.galaxyvarchive.blogspot.com/
But after flashing via CWM, you will need to flash custom build prop of our phone.
If you are new in flashing custom roms continue reading, and also there will be special note how to flash build prop correctly !
INSTRUCTIONS :
1) Turn phone in CWM(Hold power, menu and volume up button together)
2) Wipe data, cash, dalvik-placed in advanced options
3) Chose zip from sd card, and search rom you are download (Zentouch V2, and Nemoid recommanded)
4)wait till install complete
******* THEN YOU WILL NEED TO INSTALL BUILD PROP ! *********
1) after installation of rom dont turn of recovery
2) again wipe dalvik
3)choose build prop and wait till complete
4)Reboot your device and enjoy !
NOTE: ZENTOUCH, AND NEMOID DONT CONTAIN ANY ERRORS (JUST IF YOU FLASH TEIR UPDATES YOU NEED TO FLASH CLEAN ROM, DONT UPDATES OF THIS ROMS), AND DONT EXTRACT ZIP FILE OF ROM OR BUILD PROP IT NEED TO BE LIKE THAT !
AND THIS WORKS FOR ALL OF OUR SM-G130 VERSIONS!
CWM IF YOU DONT HAVE IT
So first what you will need is ODIN 3.09 To instal cwm recovery
1) Start odin(note: phone must be unplugged)
2) Turn phone into download mode
3) Check ap box, and find cwm.tar file placed on your pc after download and than select it..
4) Flash it via odin
5) Reboot your phone
6) Turn it off again
7) Press volume +, home and power button and voila you got cwm

I installed 3 different roms, followed the instructions and flashed buildprop. With all roms I get the same error: "unfortunately, the process com.android.systemui has stopped". The Galaxy V is 480x800 pixels, roms are no good, they don't display correctly. Some of the phone dialler numbers are not displaying because of the different resolution. We need a rom adapted to our phone.

Please press tnx

I just got the touch screen of my SM-G130 repaired and my phone was "gone" for a few weeks. Had no chance yet to try these custom ROMs. I am going away now for summer holidays, but when I return halfway August I am gonna try the ROMs and will post my experiences. Bye bye.
Thnx for this post(searching for post of our young 2 for weeks). Gonna try these roms
But there is one problem Both deletes my IMEI number so, I cant use my SIM.
Zentouch V2 works perfectly in mi Young 2. I will write a post in HTCMania, in Spanish, on how install the ROM.

Yes, I used the buildpro this post. I can not post links. Enter HTCMania, see section Samsung, look at other Samsung smartphones and find the post with the following name: Instalar Custom ROM en Galaxy Young 2 That's my post. Luck.

Do you guys experience significant performance / speed increase with these custom roms, in comparison with the stock rom?
Thanks!
I'm sharing with you another build.prop for those who have got a SM-G130HN device and wanna install ZenTouch ROM v2:
View attachment SM-G130HN_BUILDPROP.zip

This rom has the language PT-BR? If not, how can I add?

You didn't explain the word "then" is it clean or dirty flash, anyway, I have tried both ways to flash your ROM.
1. Dirty Flash
The ROM was successfully flashed, but when I go for setting, it FC.
2. Clean Flash
It won't boot at all, stop on blank screen after Samsung logo.
I have tried both ways, without any mods, SuperSU or any additional apps. Thus, I believe, your ROM is conflicting with the original stock. This is almost the same as the other deodexed DOK4 ROM, while the DOJ5 ROM seems working nicely.
Perhaps it is better to play around with DOJ5 ROM instead of DOK4, or maybe you can find the error on future development. Thanks for your wonderful effort, your ROM surely looks better than the stock, just need some fixing. Keep up the work.

Finally I have succeeded to flash this good looking ROM on my SM-P601, these are the steps;
(Please follow and read properly)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Download deodexed DOJ5 ROM from the next door thread (Official Deodexed)
2. As usual, put it on your SDCard
3. Boot into TWRP, for me, I use TWRP 2.8.76
4. Flash the deodexed DOJ5 ROM til its done (by default it will install SuperSU 2.52)
5. When DOJ5 is done, do clean dalvik and cache, just those 2 and no others
6. Then flash this modded DOK4 ROM and wait til its done
**Though this modded DOK4 is deodexed, it has no root access which it will conflict with the previous installed DOJ5 and it may cause boot failure or bootloop, thus, you need systemless SuperSU
7. Next is to flash SuperSU 2.66 (I haven't tried using CF AutoRoot)
8. When everything is complete, again do clean dalvik and cache
9. Boot to system without installing SuperSU from TWRP (it will ruin systemless SuperSU 2.66)
**REMEMBER TO NEVER INSTALL SUPERSU FROM TWRP IT WILL BREAK ROOT
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Result are shown by attached picture
1. Base ROM is DOK4
2. Baseband is DOJ4
3. Note 5 Icons and appearance
4. Root access
5. Ext SDCard access R/W
6. 5 ways on reboot menu (on restart option)
7. Camera is working
8. Latest Google Play
9. Updated Galaxy Apps
10. ViperFX Working
11. Air Command Working (Disable default air command if you wish to use this new looks)
That's all folks, enjoy the ROM and please be kind to say thank you on binh24' wonderful work for our beloved SM-P601.

But gradually I am improving yourself. at the moment, my full testing rom p601xxudoj4 region SER. Working so far And normal. i would like to learn how to make mods, like the menu off with 5 functions. finally, one step at a time.

Hi, are you using P601XXDOK4 rom? I'm using P601ODDDOJ3 from India and I think it only works if I flash it with the lockscreen effect.
P601xxudok4
Stock rom cooked by me.
● Deodexed
● Debloated
● Rooted with new method that does not generate conflict with bootloader
● Fix external sdcard write
● All languages available
● Knox removed
⊙ advisable to do an installation clean. it may be that the screen is black in the part to choose the languages. turn off and turn on the screen that all back to normal.

yes it works. but so sad the function isn't the same with note 5 function. for example : screen write. I cannot capture like note 5 do. wish it have note 5 function hehehe.
I know this is a little off topic but i didnt know whether or not to make a new topic so i thought I'd ask. I download the official 5.1.1 rom for P601 from sammobile. Thing is, its the Russian one (P601XXUDOJ2_P601SERDOJ2_SER) and mine is from South Africa (P601XXUCNJ1)
Will it work as normal on my device? I am not rooted

1. Install free "Package Disabler" Or 'Titanium BackUp' from Google Play Store.
2. Launch this app, search for "SecurityLogAgent".
3. Then disable/freeze it.
Do not do anything else. That's it.
Result: You will not see this annoying notification again.
