Sprint`s Gear S info. - Samsung Gear S

Just read this.

I think that is the pricing that all the phone providers are looking to be at. Any more then 10 bucks a month and people will not go for it as that is the same price as normal cell phone.

Nice find atleast hear something

http://9to5google.com/2014/10/30/samsung-gear-s-release-date/

So I walked into a Sprint Corporate store yesterday morning to inquire about the Gear S and phone combo. The employees were not even aware that it was coming Nov 7 I kindly reminded them it was announced on sprints website and all over the internet. One employee told me if it were coming out this Friday the store would brief them on Wednesday. The other employee told me that the Gear S will have it's own phone number. While another told me it is Bluetooth only. I said this all to say they are clueless and I'm still left wondering how Sprint will deal with this uicc card in the Gear S as LTE will not be available for this. I also called Sprint Sales Center they had no Idea the watch was coming to the USA so soon.

Thats crazy. I myself went into best buy spoke to a Samsung employee and he didnt know that it was coming out this week.

Consigning, I've called five Verizon and four Best Buy stores and they have no clue when they will receive or sale the watch. There were some Samsung reps at Best Buy who never heard of the watch. Really? How is that possible?
I had a long chat with the T-mobile rep who sold me the Gear Circle. He said they are selling the watches this Sunday, 9 November. If Verizon or Best Buy doesn't come through I will purchase the watch outright from T-mobile and put a Verizon sim in it later. I want the watch NOW!

It's our watch and we want it now lol. Yes If t-mobile will allow me to pay the 350 plus taxes with no contract I will gladly pair it to my Note 4 Sprint. I don't plan to use the standalone internet i will bluetooth tether the gear S. and forward my calls when I want to leave the phone at home.

FYI, Verizon SIM only works for LTE. Since, Gear S doesn't appear to support LTE, that will be useless. And probably will never work because you will need CDMA hardware inside and with CDMA, the ESN of the watch must be already registered with the carrier.

I'm pretty sure the watch will need to have an active SIM to work with receiving calls when your phone is not near.

I read the calls will be forward to the watch when you leave your phone at home. Other wise the gear will have a separate number for the phone and there will be no need to pair the phone besides downloading apps. Sprint does not have SIM cards they have uicc cards that give LTE only which the Gear S will not have.

I have unlimited on my phone and they expect me to pay 10$ month for 2 years for some minutes and text on a watch. Or get off my unlimited and move to family to share my data with my watch hum.. no thanks to on contract
F U Sprint I just walked out of AT&T with my Gear S off contract no way I would pay 416$ (384 plus tax)
when I just paid 325.49 (299 plus tax) Although I still have my Note 4 with Sprint

JUST IN CASE YOUR WONDERING
So I had a long confusing talk with Sprint this morning and the Sales Rep say's this there are 2 options for Sprint right now either or you add it to you Family Share plan (As long as it has 20GB or more to share). The gear has its own NUMBER. If you use all of the 100MB before the month is up they will Suspend your Gear S until you pay the overages or just wait for next month to pay again. When your phone is at home the Gears Number, messaging and data will be used . It is considered a mini phone. So if you have unlimited everything your watch will have a mintues/text plan of 1,000 100GB internet. It is best to use Bluetooth a lot. Unless you don't use internet if you want to cancel your plan from watch (9.99 a month for 2 years) 200$ cancellation fee

so happy i'm with t-mobile. they're treating the device like a tablet . if you go over your data it will just slow down, they won't charge you extra

That would make more sense for all carriers to do right. Do you know how much t-mobile is for outright? I may return this to AT&T and buy t-mobile to get free data for life lol thats what they advertize anyway

So I work at an AT&T store but I have Sprint service on my Note 3 because I need unlimited. Can I buy the watch from my AT&T for a discounted price and still put it on my Sprint plan for $10/month or is the watch carrier locked to AT&T then? I can get it from my store for under $300 after taxes with my discount, but I want it to work with Sprint service on it and I didn't think that was possible. Can someone clear this up for me please?

All US Gear S watches are carrier locked. Even it is not locked, you can't use a GSM(AT&T) phone on CDMA(Sprint) network. That will never happen.

Sadly we've preliminarily determined that it does not use the hybrid GSM/CDMA architecture, even though it's chipset supports it. There have been no teardowns and no root yet, so we don't know what the radios include. The FCC documents say that there are at least two completely separate versions, one for GSM (AT&T/T-Mobile) and another for CDMA (Verizon/Sprint). They were tested separately and there was nothing indicating that they had hybrid radios.
Just have to wait until they get opened up.
It was a bad move on Samsung's part ...

How to activate your new note...

I am gonna save some headaches, hassles, and arrogance by telling people how to activate their new phones when they receive them... even though it tells you what to do on your receipt and order status email I am going to say it anyways as I keep seeing the question asked in forum posts.
When you receive your Note and you are ready to use it call, 866-895-1099. This is at&t's automated activation line, it will confirm receipt of your phone, it review your 2 year contract if not done already (usually only online or phone orders, in-store orders usually skip this step as you already signed at time of purchase), then it will swap you to the correct LTE plan that you selected when you ordered, and activate the new LTE SIM that ships with the phone. You have to use the new SIM, don't ask the question, "can I just take my SIM from my old phone and put it in the Note?" The new SIM is sitting pending for activation on your account and will activate anyways, thus killing your old SIM whether you want it to or not, when you confirm receipt of your phone.
If you are swapping this equipment with another number, such as a swap upgrade, or you added a line to get this Note. You will need to go into an AT&T store and get a LTE sim for your existing number you wish to use the Note on and have them put the LTE data plan on your existing number, whether it is grandfathered unlimited or a set limit data plan doesn't mater, your allotment will stay the same. They will then put your existing phone on the new line that you added the note on. If both phones are smartphones then you will have 2 data plans, if your old phone swapping was not a smartphone then just the note will have the data plan on your existing line and it will be removed with your non-smartphone on the new line.
Also for swap upgrades, the sim that ships in the Note will need to go to whoever's upgrade you took/used. So if you used your daughters upgrade for example to get the note for yourself. once you call the activation line, give your daughter the sim card that came with your note. You need a new LTE sim for your line, and the sim that shipped will have your daughters number on it once you call to confirm receipt & activate it.
Any questions?
- Dan
Or if swapping #'s call AT&T and tell them to activate your SIM # on your line you wish it to work then call and activate the line!

Needs LTE SIM, once a sim has been used it cannot be deactivated and reactivated. System doesn't allow it. The only way to do it that way like you described is if they delete the pending upgrade/activation and rebuild it manually and most reps will not or cannot do that depending on there "security" level so to speak.
I just got a replacement sim, how can you tell if its the LTE sim?

Probably is LTE, that's all they use now. Just has the at&t globe on it, doesn't say at&t anywhere on the front.
Lol I've done iit before ;-) delete parked equipment which any Rep can do but I don't believe is required.
Just call tell them the SIM card # and what line you want it active on. They shouldn't have a problem at all.

Yea I agree... its easy to do lol.... Do not call a store to do it as 1. most won't over the phone and 2. if you get a newer rep that doesn't know Telegence they cannot do it.... Yea the pending equipment needs to be deleted, but if the terms and conditions weren't accepted yet, it just creates headaches. Change the 1099 ending on the phone number to 1092 to just accept the T&C's and not activate the phone.
AEDan,
Not getting the GNote until the excitement dies down and I can walk in and buy one lol...But I appreciate your helpful post as I am sure many do!
Thank you!

Either that or a landline... either works, if you use your cellphone it will cut off mid call but its good, just means it went through.
Yes, thanks a lot for all your insider AT&T tips. This post in particular will be very helpful to a lot of people.
I wonder how BB does it. When they activate will they have the new LTE sim there. I think my sim is an old one. Came in my Captivate July 2010.

I would assume they do, at&t won't let them activate it if it doesn't. System will just give a bunch of sim errors.
The phone's should ship with the SIM in the phone.

Just bring it to the store and they'll activate with a LTE sim and even transfer your data for you.
My question is what if I plan on selling it? Do I call att and let them know I'm giving it to a relative and keep my current plan/phone info the same?
Sent from my MB860 using Tapatalk
Wait, I don't mean to ask a repeat question, I'm really sorry if I am. I did just look through this thread, but the above user had a captivate.
I have an iPhone 4, and I bought the Samsung Galaxy Note, through Best Buy, using the Upgrade option, and not selecting any data plan, hoping that it will grandfather in to the Note as I have the el cheapo $15/200mb data plan ( I hardly use data).
The iphone 4 as everyone knows has that stupid Micro Sim.
So I just want to clarify, the GNote COMES in the box with a preinstalled LTE Sim? and all I have to do is either call AT&T (which I usually do) to activate the phone with my old number and grandfather in my old 200mb data plan, OR go to a nearby store and have them do it?
That is all correct?
Basically:
- Note Comes with LTE Sim preinstalled from Best Buy?
- I have a choice of either calling or going to the store to activate my new phone?
i will say if you have a grandfathered-in unlimited data plan, do NOT activate your Note yourself as the 1st post describes. i was instructed by Premier support to call the Premier support # and make them activate it and to mention how i want to keep my unlimi plan. they told me this is the best way to make sure i keep my unlimi plan...i ain't taking no chances just a heads up.
I suppose this will not affect current data plans? Also, I paid the phone full price/no commitment. I'm wondering if doing all that step once I get the phone will mess something up and extend my contract. I don't get an upgrade until a year from now and I was going to use that to get another phone that comes out during that time.
I have the HTC Vivid so I already have a LTE sim in that. will I be able to just pull that LTE sim out of the Vivid and put it into the Note?

Wonder if us on the Unlimited Family Sprint plan would qualify for the waiving of the $10/mo
I like the ATT price but I wonder if samsung will make a new version after a year. If the due I will be stuck under contract for another year. While I dont always jump and get the newest devices, I dont like the idea of being under a contract for 2 years. I may be ok and just may be over thinking it. Maybe I can just pay my way out of the contract if they do come out with a new version.

I bank on samsung releasing another, and at the outright price this thing is coming out with ($3-400, I paid $300 for the original gear and feel comfortable around this price for these watches) I'll just buy the next one outright and swap the Sim, they can't force you to keep the same watch.
wow your right. I forgot all about that.

Sprint customers can purchase the Gear S for $0 down, and 24 monthly payments of $16 ($384 total), but will also have to pay an additional $10 per month on its Family Share Pack plan. However, Sprint is waiving the monthly fee through December 2015 if you sign up for a 20GB or higher Family Share Pack plan. However, the Gear S will use Sprint's 3G network, and not its LTE network.

I believe once the S6 comes out March or so the gear S2 or whatever they call it will be released as well Samsung is working on another version already. Hopefully the new version will include a camera that can use front face camera for skype/tango ect (wishful thinking I know but a dreamer can dream)
Guys and Gals talking about AT&T... I think what you have to be interested in is adding the $10/month for 24-months...or forever, haha. Once you take that jump of paying $10 a month for a smartwatch, you'll probably never go back right?
Its just like adding a data play to a tablet. The phone will need data to be able to get calls so Im ok with that.
Hi all, the Gear S is a 3G/2G device, it does not support LTE, therefore it won't work on LTE bands.

Does anyone know if the mini opera browser will work just using bluetooth connection not with a sim card?
Verizon Customer support told me...
The unit would be available 11/7/2104.
$399 off contract
$349 with a 2 year contact
$5 dollars a month.
I don't recall what $5 a months gets you in terms of data sorry.
I think i'll grab one. I have a Note 3 and if I like the watch I'll go for a Note 4. If I don't like the watch i'll go with a Nexus 6 or less likely a Droid Turbo.
Take care,

I called a brick and mortar store. They said it was true that Verizon would have them on Friday (11/7/2014) but they did not know if their actual store would get any. They told me to call back on 11/7/2014 because they never know what inventory their are going to get until the same day.
Happy hunting!
If Verizon is 400 off contract price, I think ATT will be the same. All in all I think I may just get on contract.
I hope your source is accurate. I called several Verizon stores and tweeted the VZW news and they have not received a release date. Same song and dance at Best Buy. I considered buying a t-mobile watch but learned that the watches are carrier specific. Sux! I'll ring them again on Friday morning to see if they have them in stock. Keeping my fingers crossed!

Just purchased my gear s from an Att store in Houston. Price is $299 w/o contract and $199 w/ 2 yrs contract. I chose the 2yrs contract as with my discount the line would $5/month on family share .

There doesn't seem to be a price deduction for the phone with the $15 plan. Assuming I'm reading it correctly.
So 350+15 for complete standalone.

You only get it if you are a current post pay customer. If you're not, you be better off buying it off AT&T.
I am also guessing the $30 Walmart t-mobile plans don't count?

Why would it be better to buy it from AT&T? AT&T also requires that it be part of their plan. Now sure you can buy it in full than take it to T-Mobile but then no AWS bands right?
The only one that seems to let people get it with a plan without having previous coverage is T-Mobile and Sprint. T-Mobile is $15 and Sprint is $10. Though T-Mobile gives you more stuff.

I took the $15 plan with financing & $10 insurance since they told me I can upgrade for free when they release a new version after I was at least 1/2 done in financing.

Im confused how you are going to use spotify? Milk sucky service is on the watch but not spotify. Also LTE wont matter on such a small device. The one data app we can use is opera mobile. That hardly takes 3g to render fast images. Also you do know that the watch pan is waived for an entire year with sprint since thats whom you already have right? You dont have to pay a dime till Dec 2015. Im lost on your savings. Yes you saved $100 out right with tmobile by buying the watch up front but paying more in the end. Sprint i pay 0 down and $16 month for 24 months or till i pay $380. No service charges till at least dec 2015.

:good::highfive: welcome aboard

Should I buy?

I mainly want to use it at the gym and running while NOT having my giant phone in my pocket.
My cellphone is on Sprint, can I use the Gear S from different carriers to have my phone forward calls/messages to my watch while my phone is at home?
Thanks. I'm looking at buying used from Craigslist and I never see a Gear S for Sprint.
If you had asked a few months ago, I would have said yes. Now, I'd say wait for the Orbis to be announced, which should be soon. If that one does everything the Gear S does but better, you may want it instead.
If you do want to go ahead and get a Gear S, your cheapest way to get a new one is to buy it up front from ATT, have it unlocked by ATT*, and get the wearables plan from T-mo if you want it to have data (which sounds like what you are interested in). I think it's $10/month for non-Tmo customers, which gives you unlimited calls and texts and unlimited data but only 500MB of it "high" speed (3g or 4g, depending on where you live). And yes, the watch can be on another network than your phone and call forwarding and everything else still works, as long as your phone is on the list of compatible Galaxy devices.
Warning
There is an issue with the charging cradle: it breaks by design sooner or later, so you may want to buy a knock-off from ebay or explore the lovely solutions described here, like socks, pill bottles, etc.
It's a great watch, no, it's still the best watch out there, one of the few with GPS and data, and I bought it for trail running without my phone. I use it daily and love it, but know that it is now a half a year old and updates are rare. The App store offerings are as meager as in the beginning; there is, for instance, only one music streaming app, Milk music, but with the T-mo wearables plan, Milk does not count against your data (search #musicfreedom).
Good luck
* To unlock a new ATT device without waiting 90 days, you need to be able to give them a phone number that is or has once been on ATT (prepaid does not count). If you have never been an ATT customer, see if you can find a friend who is/has been, and ask them to submit the unlock ticket for you. You save $50 just by buying it from ATT, plus, if ATT ever offers a better plan, you can just swap sim cards. T-mo won't unlock the Gear S if you buy it from them, at least they refused to unlock mine, so I went the above described route.
So this reply turned into a novel. Oooops.
My 2c anyway
The most unique thing about the Gear S is its ability to act as a stand-alone device. But the real benefit is having your calls, notifications, texts, and e-mails forwarded to it from your phone when the phone's out of range. The part that's amazing is how well it all works. Within 90 seconds of my Gear being out of BT range from my phone calls are forwarded, 3G and/or Wi-Fi on the Gear activates, and notifications and such don't miss a beat. Same thing in reverse when the Gear and phone are back in BT range. It's like having your phone with you but not having to lug it around. The real joy is not having to worry about, it all just works (at least for me on AT&T). Add a Gear Circle which is probably the most unobtrusive BT headset and you can do anything with the Gear you can do on your phone communication wise.
The Gear even pairs with the hands-free system in my car with 100% of the available features working with the exception of address book transfer and AVRCP not working in Milk (it works with the Gear's audio player).

Here's a big caveat. For all this to work you need a late-model Samsung phone and ideally you use Samsung's apps (e-mail, messaging, etc.). There are stand-alone apps on the Gear for both e-mail and messaging that allow you to compose and respond the same way you can with your phone including using contacts in the Samsung Address Book. If you use third party apps all you can do in most functions like e-mail and messaging is respond to something you've received. As for the carrier of the Gear and phone needing to be the same that's a good question. For a generic (vs. U.S. carrier-specific) Gear logic dictates whatever the phone picks up from the Gear (EG: Gear's discrete number for call forwarding) it shouldn't matter. Each U.S. carrier has their own Gear version running its own non-standard s/w. So who knows what each carrier did to their individual Gear's in terms of interoperability.
For people with non-Samsung phones or using the Gear without carrier access its unique benefits are neutered. In that case it's just another Samsung Tizen wearable with the biggest stand-out feature being its 2" AMOLED display.
Thanks for the responses. Dumb question, but is it possible to forward calls and text without having a monthly plan for the watch?
No you must have a cellular connection for that to happen. Verizon only charges $5 a month

I just called for a warranty on the phone and tmobile doesn't warranty the charger piece. So if the charging clip breaks you have to mail the watch and all to samsung for it to get warranty and it's 2 weeks. JUMP doesn't cover the battery pack

Or, for $30, you could have a working charger by Friday if you're an Amazon Prime member. Should you have to pay out of pocket? No. Is the time you'll spend packing up your watch and Gear to ship them back and being without them for two week worth saving $30? Only you can answer that.
AT&T, at least the local store I bought my Gear at, has said they'll replace the cradle if it breaks during the one-year warranty. If I want to exchange the watch with it they said that would be up to me. I have status in the Samsung support program and when I heard reports of cradles breaking asked them what my options (outside AT&T) would be if it happened to me. They said they'd overnight me a new cradle without needing to ship the broken one back. Obviously this hasn't been tested (yet) but there have been stories reported on the forum of instant cradle exchanges directly from Samsung as well as people Samsung's told to go pound sand. So individual experiences are obviously a big YMMV.
Just bought the att model on groupon for 181.00 with coupon. I hope it was worth as i ve been using a motoactv that i rooted with custom rom. Wish audible would work with it. I guess i have 14 days to return it if i dont like it. Also carries 90 warranty.
I use it every every time for cardio and weight lifting, if you want the watch by itself you can only play music installed inside the watch and listen via Bluetooth headphones. You can try YouTube music videos but is laggy.
Now, if you bring your cellphone , you can fwd and pause streaming music from the watch, also you can start , pause and stop endomondo , use your watch heart rate sensor to log it inside your endomondo phone app. If you also have the gear circle, you can set it to read all your texts and Internet messaging apps ,so you don't have to look at your screen. When I run at night I leave my watch with the screen always ON and I change the clock to a white bright clock so I can be seen from far away.
Update: the watch has wifi so you can try connecting it first to your gyms wifi and try streaming and see if is not laggy.

I'm on Sprint so the monthly would be $10 I believe. I don't think I want to go that route.
I currently have the moto 360 and with the new update you can add music to it via Google Music, but it sucks. You can't pick and choose exact songs, have playlist, and the shuffle button only shuffles songs within an album. Needless to say this hasn't been a solution.
I'm a little hesitant to get this watch since I've had the Gear 2 before and it would constantly reboot, quit, freeze etc.
Thoughts?
It's $200 here, if you haven't purchased one

I guess waiting will be wise choice. Use 360 for now and enjoy Orbis from November. This watch gonna sell like hot cakes. Only thing that can stop this watch from getting popular will be lack of compatibility. People don't look for workaround and just skips it and goes something else.
I was in at&t store yesterday, it was $100 on contract, I got tempted but remembered 2 things
1. Problem with charger on this one.
2. Orbis gonna be super awesome as Samsung is planning to use in house exynos SOC, so they might go for one in 14nm which will make watch more efficient.

That would be great, but android wear doesn't support sim card and google won't let them modify original OS (I guess they want to avoid fragmentation here). But Tizen is good OS too.

Where are the deals at? Let's share all those deals.
Verizon offering $10/mo for 24 months 0% financing on Pixel and up to $400 trade in credit.
https://www.theblackfriday.com/verizon-blackfriday.shtml?page=1
https://slickdeals.net/blackfriday/stores/verizon-wireless/adscans/24723/
I came across this the other day:
http://bestblackfriday.com/ads/verizon-black-friday
$10 a month at Verizon for Google Pixel, up to $672 for Device Payment Plan (discount applied as a bill credit). Not sure if that $672 limit rules out 128GB devices as those cost $749.
For anyone interested in a 32GB device, currently Best Buy is offering a $200 gift card for a monthly device payment plan with a new line of Verizon service. There is a $20 activation fee for ordering online, which is reportedly waived for in-store purchases, but so far Best Buy's inventory has seemed limited compared to Verizon. The phone can be paid off at Verizon anytime. This has been going on for weeks, so Saturday November 12 may be the last day. It's possible Best Buy could have better deals later this month, but so far this and the Verizon 20% off code last week have been the best offers that don't involve two years of service at Verizon.

I saw that too. $10 / month for 24 months is $400 off Google Store price. I have a verizon account that has an upgrade available. But I don't use Verizon that much, only for work. So if I buy one of these can I just pull out the sim and put in my Project Fi account sim and use it like that? I think it might depend on if vzw will allow it to come off the network while on that contract? But I'd buy that in a heartbeat if the deal is real and I could use it on Fi.

You probably can, Verizon phones are not provider locked, you should be able to put in any SIM card.
I personally have a Verizon subscription (the only way to get a decent signal at work where I spend most of my time) and am considering this deal. I would however strongly prefer to order directly from the Google store as I want an unlockable bootloader (I know there is DePixel8, but that's not the same and that loophole could be closed at any time with a security update, just want an unlockable bootloader without any hacks).
But, I might just take the plunge through Verizon, it's a very good price for this phone. Hopefully Google themselves come with some deals as well. Even just $200 off would be enough
I called Project Fi / Google Store (I think they're basically one and the same) and the guy saw the Verizon promotion and couldn't believe it. He wasn't sure about prospect of pulling it off the vzw network or if they would allow it during the contract period but I don't think they would care. I asked if he had an inkling of a Google black Friday deal and he didn't think they'd do something so drastic as to take 400 bucks off. But he did say and I did too, "Hey you never know." I don't know if I'd pull my 5x out of service for $200 off but I certainly would for 400. Gonna keep my eyes on this one for sure.
Found the page via google cache.. lol
I don't see any offers that would apply to the Pixel in Best Buy's Black Friday advertisement, so the Best Buy offer of a $200 gift card for a new line this week and Verizon's Black Friday offer may be the primary deals on Pixel phones this month. Based on last year's Nexus 6p, and the current limited phone supply at the Google Store, I wouldn't expect deals from Google this November. Assuming someone plans on having an active line at Verizon for two years, the only way it might be possible to slightly exceed Verizon's Black Friday deal any time soon would be if Verizon offers another discount code and retains their current offer of $300 in account credits over two years for a $1 phone trade, but that trade value is rather high so I wouldn't expect it to necessarily last until their next discount code. For someone that isn't interested in two years of Verizon service, the $200 gift card has only been rivaled by a 20% off code from Verizon that lasted just a few days, and any better offers from Best Buy or Verizon seem to have happened before this phone was available.
http://blackfriday.bestbuy.com/?category=doorbusters
Just chatted with the Google store and they said they currently have no updates on whether they'll have any Black Friday deals. I guess even if they did already know they probably wouldn't tell me Man, I'd really prefer to have it straight from Google for the unlockable bootloader (without any hassle), but that deal from Verizon is starting to look really good.
I looked at the Verizon site today. After adding a 128GB Pixel to the cart there was an offer for 50% off a second phone, either a Pixel or V20. I didn't see written terms for the offer, but it looks like they are reducing the retail price of the second phone. It seems the $300 in 24 months of bill credits on a $1 phone is still available, but I've read that you might have to try a store to trade two phones for two new devices. On a preliminary look, the 50% off a second phone seems like potentially one of the better deals for anyone willing to consider buying two phones.

I was going to return my pixel 128gb and then buy another one for Black Friday. I decided to take advantage of the trade in $200 credit, just in case if the terms for the black Fri sale didn't fit me as a Verizon customer. I purchased an iPhone 4 used for $25 that was being used for Sprint. Verizon took it with no problems and will credit me $8.33 per month.

For those of us wanting the Pixel from Google with the unlockable bootloader, couldn't we trade in a phone on Friday for $400 and get the Verizon Pixel then sell it? The $400 credit and whatever proceeds from the Verizon Pixel should be more than enough to cover the cost of purchasing from the Google Store.

The $400 credit is applied over a period of 2 years to your monthly phone bill, so while you can do what you're proposing, you won't see any immediate benefit.

Nope, pretty sure it'll be applied over a period of 2 years. So you'll need to stay on contract with them for at least as long to get the full benefit. And either way, I think this deal only applies to the 32GB Pixel, don't think the 128GB will get this deal.

So only 1 variant of the Google phone would apply here, a 32GB Pixel? Hmm.. the $400 credit is that for any phone or is it a credit up to $400?

If I remember correctly, the black friday deal will be for the Galaxy S7, Google Pixel and one other phone. It would apply to a max of $672. But since Verizon forced sites to remove all these adds everywhere, I wouldn't be surprised if they ended up coming with something else. I would strongly prefer a Google store version, so I have one on backorder right now, but if a really good deal comes up from Verizon, I might consider getting the Verizon version.
