[CFW][KK4.4] GomdoLight KitKat Custom Firmware Environment (System Enhancement Pack)

Hi all,
Today, I proudly present GomdoLight KitKat for KOREAN LG G / G2 / G3 / G3A / G3cat6 / Gflex / GK / Gpro / Gpro2 / LTE3 / Vu2 / Vu3 / Gpad7LTE, one of the most widely used (with 20,000+ users approximately) stock-based custom firmware in South Korea.
GomdoLight is more than 3 year old already (first version released on 19th December 2012), and is very mature.
Technically speaking GomdoLight is NOT a complete ROM, but rather a large-scale patch, which modifies official stock firmware to remove all the unnecessary components preloaded by operator/manufacturer, and reorganizes key system parts to 'basic' Android OS with manufacturer's flavor. For some devices GomdoLight's own specialized tool 'GomdoLight Sideloader' can make it possible to install GomdoLight directly over the stock firmware, even without rooting or flashing custom recovery!
GomdoLight is compatible with the following devices (BOLD indicates GomdoLight Sideloader support - no root required)
LG Optimus G: LG-F180S, LG-F180K, LG-F180L ("G")
LG G2: LG-F320S, LG-F320K, LG-F320L ("G2")
LG G3: LG-F400S, LG-F400K, LG-F400L ("G3")
LG G3A: LG-F410S ("G3A")
LG G3 Cat.6: LG-F460S, LG-F460K, LG-F460L ("G3")
LG G Flex: LG-F340S, LG-F340K, LG-F340L ("Gflex")
LG GK: LG-F220K ("GK")
LG G Pro: LG-F240S, LG-F240K, LG-F240L ("Gpro")
LG G Pro 2: LG-F350S, LG-F350K, LG-F350L ("Gpro2")
LG Gx: LG-F310L, LG-F310LR ("Gx")
LG Optimus LTE3: LG-F260S ("LTE3")
LG Optimus Vu2: LG-F200S, LG-F200K, LG-F200L ("Vu2")
LG Vu 3: LG-F300S, LG-F300K, LG-F300L ("Vu3")
LG G Pad 7.0 LTE: LG-V410 ("Gpad7LTE")
A very thorough and extensive (probably, the most extensive on entire xda) manual is provided at the download page, which contains literally everything you need to know to install GomdoLight. FAILURE TO READ THIS DOCUMENT BEFORE INSTALLING WILL ALWAYS LEAD TO VARIOUS UNEXPECTED PROBLEMS. PLEASE READ CAREFULLY. Needless to say, I WILL NOT ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS ALREADY ADDRESSED IN THIS DOCUMENT.
Due to xda forum's limits (in functionality) I am posting a link to the separate (external) DOWNLOAD PAGE. There is no way I can link to each section in the document in xda posts, since xda does not support HTML tag. However some portions of the document are also introduced here.

Thank you very much! I'm waiting for the version "Wave 3, Revision 5" which supports LG LTE2 series (I'm using the L version). By the way, I don't really know why I could not access the link "GomdoLight Download / Manual Page" on your first post.

UPDATE - Wave 2, revision 9
UPDATE LEVEL: MAJOR / IMPORTANCE: CRITICAL
UPGRADE INSTRUCTIONS:
Use the clear.root flag to unroot before upgrading if you're rooted (IMPORTANT)
You can always re-root using the enable.root flag (SEE http://gomdolight.flags.usage.gomdoli.us for details)
You do not need to revert to stock, but choose the 'FRESH INSTALLATION' option at the Installer's main menu even though you're actually upgrading. (You will go through the reconfiguration process)
CHANGELOG:
Greatly improved GomdoLight Engine scripts
Added support for a new flag: reboot.recovery - reboots into recovery environment (automatically into 2nd-init recovery if installed)
Added support for a new flag: auto.install.xposed.framework - automatically schedule installation of Xposed framework when the Xposed Installer app is installed but the Xposed Framework is not.
Improved stability and battery efficiency
Automatically restores GomdoLight Engine functionality when GomdoLight Engine can't be initialized
Removed IM+ from the Update Center
Added 'LG Tag+', and 'Privilege Terminal' to the Update Center
'Update Center' components updated
(G2, Gpro, Vu3, Gflex) Now the clock/date indicator shown when the status bar is expanded will NOT do anything if you click on it, instead of taking you to the Date/Time Settings screen.
(G2, Gpro2, G3, G3A, G3cat6, Gflex) Now you can choose between stock navbar thickness and reduced (by about 25%) navbar thickness
(Gpro2, G3, G3cat6, Gflex) Better DualWindow (SplitWindow) app support

Need some devices owners for update

Hello everybody,
I am the developer of DualClockRemover app, available on Play Store.
It removes the dual clock from lock screen for imported devices while they are in Roaming. (Mostly imported phones)
It works well on some devices, because I had the opportunity to try different devices directly plus I got some hints from users that asked support and cooperated with me to extend the list of supported devices.
I received support's request from:
LGE LG-F600S using SW: 5.1.1
Samsung SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using SW: 5.1.1
LGE LG-F500S using SW: 5.1
LGE LG-F500L using SW: 5.1
and some other devices, that I couldn't fix.
So, please, if you have the dual clock in your lock screen, write here so that we will try to find a solution together.
(Best help is : Download QuickShortCutMaker app and find the activity that allow you to remove the dual clock from lock screen)
And please, if you have the dual clock in your lock screen and you are able to use ALREADY the app to remove it, write here your model + software version + ' already working'.
Thanks!!
Ivan

Imprisoned verizon lg g3...

PLEASE do not respond with all of the methods listed here. I have tried them all. USB debug with the download this, unzip that, com port 41, towelroot, kingo, stumproot, framaroot, usb methods, one click apk's etc.... you name it, I HAVE TRIED IT... no success... I am unfortunately stuck on verizon's WONDERFUL new jail cell of a software, android 5.1.1 otherwise known as the dreaded VS98535B.. I cannot figure out how to root, downgrade, flash or anything. I will attach a screenshot of the software 411 with this thread. ANY IDEAS are very much welcome and appreciated...
Also having the same issue with my LG tablet as well (fortunately it's not a verizon product). The tablet is the LG V700 Gpad 10.1. I will also attach a screenshot of its' software info as well. cannot figure out a root for it either and have employed all of the above mentioned methods.
What really sucks, both the phone and the tablet were rooted before the upgrades rendered them paperweights...
HMM, can't attach images.... info for each device is as follows:
Verizon VS98535B android 5.1.1 (Verizon LG G3)

AGAIN, ANY help at all rooting both devices would be very much appreciated. Thank you!
Also, why would stumproot tell me my tablet IS rooted when every root checker and mods say otherwise? and, What the heck does "modified" mean under "Software status"? My G3 says modified.

i saw this when you posted in xda assist the other day, unfortunately, im not allowed to post there.
your assumptions are wrong, a quick browse of the verizon g3 general forum would have resulted in all the needed info to downgrade from 35b. after which, you can use any of the working roots for whatever version you go to.
Also, it says modified because just the act of trying to root 35B modifies it even though it's not successful.

Aliendalvik not dalvik that's first. Aliendalvik is avaliable only for official devices, it just happened to work on kinzie too (just needed to change some file). I was planning to port anbox for this and any other device but it's currently almost not working and it's hard :/
How do i choose devices? Well i love motorolas because they're very very easy to port so i'm sure they will work. I'm throwing away brands that i hate/i know sfos would not work on them. My 2 crowdfunding campaigns covers moto x style and huawei p8 lite it was almost choosed by people (i picked them from sailfishos port request page). I'll by for myself from my money moto x 1 and x2 cuz i love them X force was choosed because it was very interesting device and also it's probably one of the most powerful sfos powered device rn so i wanted to show people that not only ultra old devices have sfos but newest ones too (well x force is 2 years old but still have great specs). so yeah once anbox get usable i'll try to port on x force and every device that i have/will have
Well guys my work is freezed until my X Force get repaired

dear walter,
progress so far: factory reset the tab > root > flash twrp.
then what? im confused with the "Boot image with encryption" file.
which one first? rom or boot first?
rom first, and OpenGAPPs if you like (both in the same session, select the rom, then add more images and select gapps). Boot is independent, but has to be installed also if you want to use encryption.
Installed the complete package (rom, boot, twrp and openGAPPS pico) on my spare N5110. Seems to be working as before, and retains the USB bug. OTG device (keyboard) keeps reconnecting.

I don't know, haven't used stock on those tablets. It's not only the keyboard, other devices behave the same (e.g. mouse, webcam). This has been the case ever since I use the tablet, first with official LoS and now on the second tablet with this one.
Testing with a mouse, it works for a couple seconds, then it's gone for a second or two, works again for a couple seconds, vanishes briefly, ad infinitum.

I don't have such a cable. I believe I did already test with a powered USB Hub connected to a normal OTG cable, but have misplaced that powered hub so currently can't repeat that test either
[edit]
Found the powered hub. A mouse connected to that hub behaves the same. I've added a USB power meter in between, the hub doesn't pull power from the tablet.

Tested a wireless keyboard. Works well with and without external power
edit: wired mouse works well too

can you install a samsung stock rom? Maybe it is a hardware fault.

I've never gone that route. If there is a stock rom and boot I can flash with TWRP, I could try.
It would be a general fault in the N5110, too, as it's present in both of my devices.

Hi walter79 - thanks for giving my trusted GT-N5100 a new live now with encryption support. Due to your work and of rgib and others, I am still able to use the device as my main device for note taking and quick reading. Now with the 2nd battery, but still kicking. I am still testing things, but haven't found anything suspicious yet.
Please continue the good work!
