[Q] G925f 64gb Pit file - Galaxy S6 Edge Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm trying to update to 5.1.1 from 5.0.2 but I'm unable to get the pit file in Odin. Is there any place to download it? I have looked on Google but had no luck.

you could also download your firmware..rename the tar.md5 to tar and extract it..voila
Odin don't let me flash G925F modem. Failed everytime. I think bootloader not accept another baseband.

I can't flash G925F's modem via Odin. Even with SkipSoft ToolKit you mention above. I think G925S carrier bootloader prevent flash another radio/modem.

Do you know another flash modem.bin without Odin? I tried Flashfire but not successful.
those 2 I think..not sure about fastboot using Adb..
not Googled yet if there's fastboot also with Samsung..

now..comes the part that is not simple..there non online..you must get it from your phone..the best is a rooted phone..there are some tutorials and tools online..simple google search it..I tried but was tired with my non rooted phone..
BTW..what you can try is to extract the firmware and make your own with only system and kernel firmware..look in the general thread for new Vodafone firmware..I will try that also...it should bring a few updates..

I got the same issue many times with some regional FWs on my old GS5, just follow these steps and you should be ok, i guess it's a mismatched "hidden" partition size, you don't need anyway, i contains only some bloats most of the times.
- Extrat the FW with any archiving tool (i recommend 7zip).
- Remove "Hidden.img"
- Repack all other files as "tar" archive with 7zip, OR linux command line "tar -cvf G925I_AOD1.tar sboot.bin cm.bin recovery.img boot.img cache.img modem.bin system.img"
- Flash it through Odin

[Q][SM-G531H] Unlocking FRP while bricked (Only download mode accessible!)

Hey guys
I was rooting Galaxy Grand Prime SM-G531H with CF-AutoRoot while forgetting to enable USB Debugging, and to unlock FRP (ik thats stupid)
im just assuming that FRP= Factory Reset Protection.. maybe? anyway doesnt matter much ...
while rooting, FRP blocked the custom recovery > bricked
FRP blocks everything from odin
To fix with Kies, it wants to erase all data while *I cant lose them*
so i would appreciate if someone can upload the original boot.img and recovery.img of SM-G531H
I can't find them anywhere on the internet unlike other devices like S series
Info: tried installing a pre rooted official firmware but FRP blocked it, and can't downlaod the original non-rooted firmware becasue of very bad download sites (disconnect all the time, slow, not resumable downloads)
.
U can extract it from your stock rom that u used to flash with odin.
Here you go!
Here are my latest stock firmware files, you can download boot and recovery. Hope I helped you if you haven't solved the problem already! :good:

1. First u need to install 7zip on u'r PC
2. select boot.img and recovery.img then right click on them and choose add to archive
3. choose tar in the format instead of zip and click ok
4. now u have a .tar file that contains boot and recovery so place that file in the AP inside odin
5. flash the phone and that's it, u r good to go

[HOT] Way, to install J730FM Oreo 8.1.0 on J730F.

Hi! I found a way, to install J730FM official stock Oreo ROM, on J730F.
Everything working fine. Sorry for my little bit bad english.
Code:
I am not responsible for bricked devices and other things, created after using this flahing method.
a) Flash Oreo 8.1.0 (SER) stock ROM using Odin, without bootloader file, but use PIT file from attached files.
- View attachment J7Y17LTE_EUR_OPEN.zip
b) In the end of flashing, you get a error with radio (or something similar). Just unplug USB cable, and turn off the phone using combination buttons (VOL- + POW) - press both for many seconds. Now turn the device into download mode once time more.
b) Flash custom recovery using odin. Recommended a Mohi's1117 TWRP from link below.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-j7-2017/development/recovery-t-r-p-3-2-1-0-t3751717
c) Okay. After flashing, just restart phone, and let boot to system. Everything should working. If not, just flash ROM from link below, and try everything from this tutorial again.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-j7-2017/development/rom-j5-pro-rom-j730xx-t3838073

here is the simple way to get pit file ( i have also got) from firmware package
1) extract firmware package
2) find package with name " CSC_ODD_J730GMODD3ARF3_CL13775238_QB18498802_REV00_user_low_ship.tar.md5"
3) rename it CSC.tar
4) extract it and you will get pit fine inside the package

Question GSI without TWRP

is it possible to install a GSI rom without TWRP?
It is possible but involves a heck ton of work you basically need to extract an entire GSI and compress each file using lz4 then repack them the way Samsung does and flash using Odin
The work involved in repacking the GSI in Samsung's format when there is no guarantee what issues the GSi will coz with the device makes it not a very suitable option
But yeah you can try for the heck of it, here's a thread that might help you

Nope don't think the android version would have anything to do with it is probably the os not working properly
Maybe try some other GSI like pixel experience to see if they work

Nope rooting has no role in flashing custom roms that all is recovery dependent
