Sorry i confound the buttons on my samsung galaxy tab 4 sm-t 335.
The "volume -" has no funktion!
The "volume +" and the "on/off" button go! That's enough.
It runs realy good, without any mistake.

I'm going to try to resume working on this, but my current focus is on the HTC One M9, and I'm not sure if I have room for two different versions of the cm source code

Lol, I told you. What is it with n00bs on this site ignoring proper advice when it's not the answer they want to hear? Try alternate USB cables and USB ports, or maybe reinstalling drivers. Or you could just ignore my advice again, since it seems to have worked so well for you last time

i have jig but i can't go in downloading mode help
If it was a normal software update with a firmware that was not rooted and you still have warranty left, you should bring the phone to the shop where you bought it. They will fix it.

Did you try a battery pull then turn on your phone and immediately hold the 3 (button combo vol up + home + power)? Also what caused this problem?
not work

Are you sure you have I9100 phones, and not I9100G phones?
Check the label under your batteries.
I9100 firmwares and kernels do not work on I9100G, and vice versa.

Get into download mode and flash a stock firmware from www.sammobile.com. Make sure you have the i9100 and not I9100G model.
And make sure you know what you're doing before you do anything. It seems like you don't have a clue if you are missing up two phones.

[Q] Trying to avoid bricking ma phone

I decided to root my phone. Then after following instructions to upgrade to ICS from a website I realized that I downloaded the wrong version (I have the international version, I think. It is was like "I9100X...something" sorry guise) once I noticed that after using Odin it got stuck at "data.img" I was rooting at school, and unfortunately, I had to leave and disconnect the phone from my laptop and was forced to take out the battery. Did I brick my SGS2?:crying: And if no (hopefully), is there an easier way to install an OS? Thank youu

[Q] Ace won on Ebay

Hey guys.
I have just won an Ace on ebay but it is faulty. The description says it failed during kies update but only the camera flash and soft keys light up and thats it.
Do you think that its possible to recover if i use Odin? Or do you think it could possibly be water damaged?
I have not yet received the phone so iv'e not tried anything as of yet.
Heres the link to the item http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/121183060950?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649

well i received it today and the water indicator is fine. But unfortunately i cannot get it to go into download mode or any other. the pc recognises it and tries to install the drivers but then it sends my pc into blue screen on 3 different OS (Vista,7 and 8).
I'm about to download kies and see what that can so as i have never used it before.
Thanks
EDIT: Nope. Nothing.... Bummer

Are you sure its s5830"i" or just s5830?
And s5830i download mode is volume up + down + power together.

Ok so I got a jig and nothing... looks like its hard bricked. I think the person possibly flashed the wrong firmware.
The jig does work as tried on on my s4 mini.

I don't think one jig will work on all devices. I have one and its for s2 it brings my 5830i into dl mode but puts my 5830 into ram dump mode.

i717 permabricked. Won't even boot to download mode.

Is there any hope? I was trying to install LiquidSmooth Jellybean 4.1.2 RC8. I did a backup of the stock ROM before doing so using CWM 6.0. But now it won't even go into download mode. I plug it in via USB as the screen won't even turn on and it keeps flashing that it's plugged in, then it's not, then it is, etc.
I had used the files from AndroidJinn without reading the reviews at the bottom.
How screwed am I?

How did you try to get into download mode? Power+volume down and then releasing the power button while still holding volume down?

I'm facing quite the hard brick. $1.60 for a jig won't kill me, now to buy it. But is there anything else I can try?
I would try to find out exactly what caused this before attempting to fix it. Has the recovery that you used been reliable and tested enough to ensure it didn't cause any troubles? I compiled twrp for this device and I can tell you that recovery is a pain to build correctly.

Yes it has. Haven't had issues yet. But it happened specifically with this ROM, and the page is full of brick warnings. Not even the samsung logo comes up. Booting to recovery or download doesn't work.

I hope you can work it out. With my own I have not had any major problems to troubleshoot. Mostly things that a battery pull or an odin flash could fix. Although I have had a couple times that I was unable to get into recovery and simply removing my otterbox and retrying did the trick. ( Buttons getting worn out on the otterbox cover? )

I just want to let you know, for the sake of your galaxy note, do NOT flash the 4.1.2 Liquidsmooth Jellybean RC8 ROM from the androidjinn site. It permabricks phones, down to the recovery, and even blocks download mode.

Do you guys have an OEM unlock toggle available in dev options? If the answer to this is yes, then give me a link to your firmware and I'll try to root it.
I have the OEM unlock button but whenever I tried to Odin Flash it, it says Locked by OEM.
My model is SM-A105G

Make sure usb debugging is enabled, connect your phone to your pc, then check the box that pops up on your phone to let it always allow access from your computer. Also make sure you're using the latest patched Odin. What country is your device from?
I have done all that but still the same. My device is from Singapore.

Have you had it for at least 7 days? Sometimes there's a temp lock. You might also have a hardware key combo that'll unlock the bootloader. With the device powered off, hold Vol ↑ + Vol ↓ and plug it into your pc. When download mode shows up, hold Vol ↑ for about 30sec to 1min. If it works it'll wipe your data, then automatically reboot and you'll be unlocked for flashing. If this doesn't work, I'll have to look at your bootloader.img and see if there's a different combo in there. (It's possible that there's none.)

If we can get Odin to flash anything that isn't signed by Samsung, then yeah it should be possible.
I own SM-A105FN from italy.
I got this phone from someone else and he had it for more then 2 months now. I understand that for Xiaomi, u need to wait for certain period of time before you could flash it, does Samsung have it too? I tried the powered off, hold down Vol up and down + power button, but nothing happened for me. Is there a way to extract the bootloader.img for you to inspect?
Thanks dude for checking out!
