Camera fix! (thanks to @sefurd for sharing)
Open Root Explorer and browse to Root > System > Vendor > Firmware
Simply Copy all files beginning with name SlimISP**.bin (Total 11)
Now go back to Root Directory > Data folder
If you are asked to grant Root Permissions then simply tap on grant.
Now look for cfw folder which is present in Data folder
Paste all the files which you copied earlier. Now the important step begins.
You will need to set the permissions for all 11 files to 755.
Then reboot the phone. There is a chance the stock camera won't work, but the Google camera will. Stock has always worked for me.

I guess I'm the only one getting this... I get the Orion LP boot screen then the 'Optimizing Apps'. When it finishes optimizing, it just reboots to the Galaxy Note II splash followed by the Orion LP boot screen. Lather. Rinse. Repeat. Forever.
On TWRP 2.8.6.0. Tried it with both zero and mini gapps from the link on the first post, and also tried the latest TKgapps (mini and pico). Thought it might be my download so I re-downloaded it and checked md5 to be certain.

Yea I tried a few times. Oh well. I'll give the next release a shot. I'll keep an eye on the thread for the next update. So far I've had good luck with other t0lte LP ROMs except for this and LiquidSmooth, but I'm a sucker who'll keep trying all new builds. LOL!

Hi,
at first the Rom seems to be very nice.
Nice bootlogo etc.
But when the screen is turned off the phone doent react to any buttons or anything else.
How can i solve this ?
The Rom was installed with a full whipe.
I use TWRP 2.8.7.0 + Agni Kernel 2.8.9 for CM , i tried to whipe Cache and Dalvik.
Thank u for this rom.

Try the ROM out without flashing Agni for CM, because I think this is AOSP/Slim based and using Agni CM will cause some issues.
Or use the Agni smdk4x12 version which provides more compatibility.

My next project is pac-rom, but keep in mind it won't be posted for a while, 4.4.2 works on our device but really doesn't have much ported into it yet so there's not point in posting it until its fully working and stable.
Cheers!

Downloading. Most customizable kitkat rom ever I think
Hi, before I switched from pound I have questions.....
1. Will this rom supported with continously updates for long time? I will not switch again and in 1 month the rom dead, because the Dev buy a other device. Updates comes weekly or nightly?
2. Is mali3 included? I must know it if I flash kernel with mali2 or 3 . example dori.
3. Is in this rom package installer with version info view?
4. Works with xpose, I know that than art not work, but I not used or need art
5.can I used supersu? I must take that because any apps only works with it..
I used flashable version.
7. In op I read, no full wipe? No factory reset if I come from pound rom? Sure?
Only wipe cash... Dalvik..if comes from other rom ?
What I read here is very great.... Good start for this new rom.... Great features included....

Answers:
1. I am not planning on buying a new device for at least a year and even when I do, I think I will keep my i9100 around for development
2. I'm honestly not sure, i am using the latest CM kernel source so if someone else knows that would be great, on my phone I use apolo kernel which is v3, great kernel with great battery life and tweaks
3. Not sure what you mean
4. ART works in this rom as reported, CM finally got it working (or scott), xposed depends on if it works on CM or not, if it does then yes, in any case there is a huge amount of tweaks in this rom to choose from
5. I believe so but am not sure, in any case I have never had issues with the stock SU
7. It's best if you backup your ROM and do a full wipe but since its also CM based I don't see why it wouldn't work with just cache and dalvik, but again, no warranty from me.
EDIT: There won't be nightlies for this rom, just FYI, I will try to update it at least once a week but please don't keep asking for ETAs, if the dev does a huge update the next day I will update it if not please be patient
Great, thanks for fast answer my questions...

Hey man!
I've been searching all over the net to find out what the "source related bugs" are. I still haven't been able to find any
Please could you give me a list of the source related bugs that you are referring to? At least a link to a page that lists them out?
Thank you again for your work!

It means that all reported bugs here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-2/development/rom-cyanogenmod-unofficial-builds-t3267958 might also be experienced in this ROM.
Let's try and keep to discussions of the ROM please.

Will be fixed in the next build :good:
Thanks
The rom is very good, extremely fast and with good battery life.
Xposed mod and viper4android running smoothly.
Microphone working on Whatsapp.
Bootanimation beautifull
Negatives (for me).
Only work 4 sensors (should be 10).
The security patch is 01.01.2016.
This rom uses the layers (the cm12s theme chooser is much better and simpler)

The sensors will be fixed in the next build by @s.sawrav :good: . Its AOSP based Rom , not CM based , so there will be no Theme Chooser .

1. I don't know if ir works.
2. OK, I'll start on that
3. Select the edit tiles button, and then press and hold a tile that you want removed and a trash can icon will appear at the top of the panel (below the header), simply drag the tile to the trash icon.

Thanks.
But there appears no icon on my device with 320 dpi to delete toggles like on temasek build...
And i tested your build and ir blaster doesn't work.
But your rom seems to be much faster than temasek rom. Only problem is the high battery draining.
And reboots while using the spen only occur, if you are not on bootloader 4.4.2. LP Bootloader 5.1.1 is the main reason for most problems.

1. The icon is somewhat hidden by the notification panel header, but it's there, it'll appear when you long press a tile and move it.
2. Okay, give me a log and I'll look into a fix.
3. In general, don't judge a ROM's battery life until it has been through at least three charge cycles.
4. It has happened on the KitKat bootloader too, it's just less frequent. In fact I first noticed the s-pen bug on other ROMs before the touchwiz lollipop update came out.

The log isn't usable because of the xposed spam, you might be right about the icon issue.

Black Shade said:
This is a great introduction for everyone who wants to use this ROM for the first time.
Coming from a TouchWiz based ROM, you'll appreciate a noticeable performance bump with all the benefits coming with any Nougat AOSP ROM. Since it's an AOSP ROM, you have to keep in mind that you won't be able to use all the TouchWiz apps and features, SPEN only works as a stylus and camera isn't that great - but this also depends on the app you want to use.
Performance and battery are pretty good by default, but you may consider flashing the other kernel. This ROM comes with Samsung kernel pre-installed, which is great for performance, but uses more battery and tends to overheat sometimes. Emotion kernel is great for battery and doesn't overheat nearly as much, but you may notice some framedrops in animations. You can configure them manually anyways, using the Kernel Adiutor app: both kernels come pre-rooted, so you can accurately balance all the parameters and get the experience you wish.
There aren't many known bugs, the most important issues have been solved in the past months, I've been using Resurrection Remix for almost 6 months now. Sometimes camera gets stuck when taking photos with flash, forcing you to reboot your device to fix it. I was talking about camera quality before, and I have a pretty good solution for this: just download HTC Camera 2 from APK Mirror (try the latest version, if it shows compatibility issues just uninstall it and look for an older version); this is the best app I've found so far and I'm really satisfied by the results. The other issue is related to Bluetooth: some users have reported issues when connecting to their car Bluetooth systems, keep this in mind as a possibility. Other than that you'll only find a couple glitches, like a couple toggles not working properly in settings. There may be some stability issues, for example my Google+ app force closes sometimes, but it's a bug related to Nougat itself rather than the ROM.
Since this is an AOSP ROM, there's a lot of stuff to play around with. You may start changing system sounds, boot animations and themes. Keep in mind that sometimes you may go too far and your device could end up in a bootloop, but don't worry about that: just go into TWRP and flash the ROM again, clear caches and you're done, system will boot and all your data will be there. System apps or mods you installed will be removed though. You may know that, but in case you or anyone else doesn't, I wanted to include this.
When first flashing this ROM, remember that you should change your /cache and /data partitions to F2FS, you can do that in TWRP (once at a time). This will give you better overall performance. When flashing a ROM without F2FS support they should be automatically converted back to ext4; in case this doesn't happen, you can do it manually once again.
The ROM comes with Magisk pre-installed, it's a RR team decision. Some people don't like it, and you can remove it. I won't tell you how, but you can look for tutorials yourself. If you want SuperSU back, don't use the Play Store version: instead, you should look for the latest .zip package on the Chainfire Google+ page and flash it from recovery. This ROM isn't able to pass the safetynet test yet, so you won't be able to download certain apps from Play Store, thanks Google.
I think that's all you need to know. I hope it helped you to get an overall idea about this ROM!

To reduce the battery drain, I have made the following settings in the kernel adiutor:
1) CPU Voltage: -25mV Global Offset (300MHz starts with 700mV) -> Apply on boot
2) CPU Hotplug: Disable MPDecision and enable AutoSMP -> Apply on boot
and finally use a black substratum theme which reduce display consumption.
Theme Suggestions:
PitchBlack Origins
Swift Black (Thx to Black Shade)
S.I.X Theme
DNA Project
Please note!
The wipe process that is a part of the installation procedure deletes some important configuration data, ie. BATTERYSTATS, which keep track of the battery's power level. These data ensure a balanced power management profile for all the hardware components of your phone. This is normal and nothing to worry about at all. Your battery drain will return to normal within a day or two.

This is a AOSP rom, No Spen support... some features are accessible with third party softwares.
Can anyone advise if camera works with flash and Bluetooth work on this Rom? Attempted most recent MM rom of Resurrection and camera with flash crashes the phone.

I juggle between AOSP & Touchwiz very often. If u need better camera, volte, tons of features(including Spen) stay with touchwiz, Else move to AOSP if u need stock interface with mediocre camera(comparitively) but on the highside u wont notice any lags and the experience will be fluid.
I quickly dirty flashed over emotion aosp. Everything seems to be working great! Thanks for another welcome N Rom. I'll give it a good go now. I hope my random reboots might be gone :good:

Wow, have anyone tried it yet? Does UX get lag when installed 50+ apps?
Edit: flash gapps cause a bunch of error and very laggy setup wizard (can't pas it). Without Gapps everything is fine. (Tried both opengapps and slimgapps)

What errors did you run in to exactly? It wasn't totally a smooth process for me but I was able to get through the setup wizard and use the play store.

I show play store stopped, media stopped and more. Yes you can get through setup wizard with struggling; it's not smooth as AOSP, which is big problem to me. I haven't tried it without gapps yet but I think it should be fine BTW very first build of Oreo every bug is expected
i found no sound for incoming call or no voice in ringtone
