Kernel Features
This ROM used until 5.8.1 Emotion Kernel as default. After a poll the community decided for Samsung Kernel, which is default since version 5.8.2. Some features like AutoSMP and Quickboot are integrated by myself. The source for Emotion Kernel you will find at Github.
Update
Since RROS 5.8.5 Final Version is my own kernel version (DevTec Kernel, Linux V3.10.107) included.

This is a great introduction for everyone who wants to use this ROM for the first time.
Coming from a TouchWiz based ROM, you'll appreciate a noticeable performance bump with all the benefits coming with any Nougat AOSP ROM. Since it's an AOSP ROM, you have to keep in mind that you won't be able to use all the TouchWiz apps and features, SPEN only works as a stylus and camera isn't that great - but this also depends on the app you want to use.
Performance and battery are pretty good by default, but you may consider flashing the other kernel. This ROM comes with Samsung kernel pre-installed, which is great for performance, but uses more battery and tends to overheat sometimes. Emotion kernel is great for battery and doesn't overheat nearly as much, but you may notice some framedrops in animations. You can configure them manually anyways, using the Kernel Adiutor app: both kernels come pre-rooted, so you can accurately balance all the parameters and get the experience you wish.
There aren't many known bugs, the most important issues have been solved in the past months, I've been using Resurrection Remix for almost 6 months now. Sometimes camera gets stuck when taking photos with flash, forcing you to reboot your device to fix it. I was talking about camera quality before, and I have a pretty good solution for this: just download HTC Camera 2 from APK Mirror (try the latest version, if it shows compatibility issues just uninstall it and look for an older version); this is the best app I've found so far and I'm really satisfied by the results. The other issue is related to Bluetooth: some users have reported issues when connecting to their car Bluetooth systems, keep this in mind as a possibility. Other than that you'll only find a couple glitches, like a couple toggles not working properly in settings. There may be some stability issues, for example my Google+ app force closes sometimes, but it's a bug related to Nougat itself rather than the ROM.
Since this is an AOSP ROM, there's a lot of stuff to play around with. You may start changing system sounds, boot animations and themes. Keep in mind that sometimes you may go too far and your device could end up in a bootloop, but don't worry about that: just go into TWRP and flash the ROM again, clear caches and you're done, system will boot and all your data will be there. System apps or mods you installed will be removed though. You may know that, but in case you or anyone else doesn't, I wanted to include this.
When first flashing this ROM, remember that you should change your /cache and /data partitions to F2FS, you can do that in TWRP (once at a time). This will give you better overall performance. When flashing a ROM without F2FS support they should be automatically converted back to ext4; in case this doesn't happen, you can do it manually once again.
The ROM comes with Magisk pre-installed, it's a RR team decision. Some people don't like it, and you can remove it. I won't tell you how, but you can look for tutorials yourself. If you want SuperSU back, don't use the Play Store version: instead, you should look for the latest .zip package on the Chainfire Google+ page and flash it from recovery. This ROM isn't able to pass the safetynet test yet, so you won't be able to download certain apps from Play Store, thanks Google.
I think that's all you need to know. I hope it helped you to get an overall idea about this ROM!

View Full Changelog
To reduce the battery drain, I have made the following settings in the kernel adiutor:
1) CPU Voltage: -25mV Global Offset (300MHz starts with 700mV) -> Apply on boot
2) CPU Hotplug: Disable MPDecision and enable AutoSMP -> Apply on boot
and finally use a black substratum theme which reduce display consumption.
Theme Suggestions:
PitchBlack Origins
Swift Black (Thx to Black Shade)
S.I.X Theme
DNA Project
Please note!
The wipe process that is a part of the installation procedure deletes some important configuration data, ie. BATTERYSTATS, which keep track of the battery's power level. These data ensure a balanced power management profile for all the hardware components of your phone. This is normal and nothing to worry about at all. Your battery drain will return to normal within a day or two.

This is a AOSP rom, No Spen support... some features are accessible with third party softwares.

Can anyone advise if camera works with flash and Bluetooth work on this Rom? Attempted most recent MM rom of Resurrection and camera with flash crashes the phone.

I juggle between AOSP & Touchwiz very often. If u need better camera, volte, tons of features(including Spen) stay with touchwiz, Else move to AOSP if u need stock interface with mediocre camera(comparitively) but on the highside u wont notice any lags and the experience will be fluid.

I quickly dirty flashed over emotion aosp. Everything seems to be working great! Thanks for another welcome N Rom. I'll give it a good go now. I hope my random reboots might be gone :good:

Open Root Explorer and browse to Root > System > Vendor > Firmware
Simply Copy all files beginning with name SlimISP**.bin (Total 11)
Now go back to Root Directory > Data folder
If you are asked to grant Root Permissions then simply tap on grant.
Now look for cfw folder which is present in Data folder
Paste all the files which you copied earlier. Now the important step begins.
You will need to set the permissions for all 11 files to 755.
Then reboot the phone. There is a chance the stock camera won't work, but the Google camera will. Stock has always worked for me.

OrionLP is a project based on slim. The name Orion was chosen as a representation of the beauty and vastness of world around us (Too much Philosophy, eh? [emoji14]). We started this project for falcon (Moto G), to make a stable Rom which would include Bitsyko layers and important customization. The Rom is built with Uber toolchain which delivers awesome smoothness and is packed with a custom kernel built from ground-up to ensure good performance [WIP]. Needless to say, this project is a product of our hobbies and the love we bore for Android.

I guess I'm the only one getting this... I get the Orion LP boot screen then the 'Optimizing Apps'. When it finishes optimizing, it just reboots to the Galaxy Note II splash followed by the Orion LP boot screen. Lather. Rinse. Repeat. Forever.
On TWRP 2.8.6.0. Tried it with both zero and mini gapps from the link on the first post, and also tried the latest TKgapps (mini and pico). Thought it might be my download so I re-downloaded it and checked md5 to be certain.

Yea I tried a few times. Oh well. I'll give the next release a shot. I'll keep an eye on the thread for the next update. So far I've had good luck with other t0lte LP ROMs except for this and LiquidSmooth, but I'm a sucker who'll keep trying all new builds. LOL!
Hi,

Try the ROM out without flashing Agni for CM, because I think this is AOSP/Slim based and using Agni CM will cause some issues.
Or use the Agni smdk4x12 version which provides more compatibility.

A Few Words
This is my first compiled rom. Go easy on me .
Seriously, if it was not for Paolothlw8, i would not even have bought this phone. He is the one that created the device, vendor and kernel trees for the nubia z7 max, and he deserves all the credit. All i did was clone his github repo, and compile with resurrection remix sources. He even helped me solve 2 bugs that popped up. So if you want to thank someone here is his original cm13 thread in english: CM13 Thread . The nubia camera and recovery files in my mega folder are also created/ported by him.

In the folder you can now find 2 files for swapping the back and menu keys. Buttons_swap.zip swaps them and buttons_original.zip brings them back to the original configuration. Flash them from recovery without any wipes.
Thanks For your work. Will try and give feedback..
New version uploaded in my mega folder. Included all kernel fixes by paolothlw8 in the new cm13 release by him, also some cherry picks from ultimatum163's z7 mini kernel repo for the bluetooth stack and a2dp functions. In the previous version of this rom, and paolo's cm13 i would get stuttering after some disconnects and some time(10-15 min tops). Only solution was a reboot, and the issue would surely happen again in this timeframe.
After the inclusion of the patches, i throughoutly tested a2dp, playing music for over 2 hours, disconnecting and reconnecting the device and no incident of stuttering yet. I can say in confidence that it is completely usable, at least in my book. Remember to download the 20160726 version, and have fun using this rom. Many thanks to both paolo and ultimatum for working on these devices.
Hi can i install this ROM on ZTE Nubia Z7 /not mini or max/?
No, sadly that won't work. This is only for Z7 max. If you ask zte for the z7(nx506j) lollipop kernel source code, it should not be very hard to port this rom to it.
New version in mega folder. Removed the rr stats and ota apps from the rom,and removed the update tab from the resurrection settings. It's unlikely this rom will go upstream in the official rr repos, therefore these applications are redundant and could hog cpu and memory for no reason.
New version added, together with a source built recovery by me, that adds full f2fs support for data and cache. You need to flash the new recovery (recovery_twrp_f2fs.zip) in recovery first to be able to use f2fs in the new version.
Thanks buddy for developing this MM for Z7Max
CM 13 > is nice..........again thanks
Hi pchatzop
Appreciate to work you had done to Nubia Z7 Max
You work in a group ? consists of ?.....pax
Just want to know
Any other unit you produce the Custom ROM???

Actually mine is on the way using PostNL International Mail.
Ordered for my daughter............
strikes me because the hardware almost identical to Oneplus One.
Oneplus ..............all are actively supported in xda.
Our device being almost identical to the oneplus one is a blessing, because i can reuse most of the code and patches from the oneplus one sources, and they are the most maintained device sources i have seen so far. It enables us to get almost any update oneplus one gets, and as it will most likely get android nougat(as cm14), i will give it my best to adapt the changes to our device.
Glad and looking forward to Nougat...........
MM which I used in OPO by RR is excellent
What is NOT working?
And - I think you should publish it on needrom.com
Everything works, except for stuff I may have not noticed. It's based on cm13 so most bugs and functionality would be the same.
Better for you to publish there

Because of this i`m buying this phone right now! 122 euros
paolothlw8 has announced work on CM14 (which is on the way http://www.xda-developers.com/android-nougat-source-code-is-dropping-work-on-cyanogenmod-14-is-already-underway/)
Do you plan to to so in RR?
Well, sure, I am new in development but, I will try to help paolo in getting a stable nougat release first, and it will take some time for rr features to be ported to cm14, in order to have a good base for the new resurrection remix based on 7.0. Google dropping all support for the snapdragon 801 chipset is not going to help either, but we have the oneplus one gods to help us with that. In the meanwhile I will try to give timely updates to this rom and iron out any bugs that might appear. After a lot of time experimenting in android leads me to the notion that one stable rom trumps many incomplete and buggy ones.
Just received mine today........after my nubia z7 max traveling almost half of the world.
Thought that I will received android 5.1 BUT 4.4.2 was installed.
will work out later...........................guess have to repartitions and etc, etc...........
any best tutorial which I could missed in my searching?
IF any just ....please give me links
Strange, try to flash twrp with all in one tool. After that it boots in twrp. When I try to manually enter twrp I end up with the stock recovery. What's wrong?

It is not booting up as secondary ROM (in SD card)...seems some prob with multirom as most of ROMs are not booting up from SD card. Let me try from my phone memory (though it has very little space )
This looks quite impressive, I'm definitely going to try this. Thanks s.sawrav!
Does this ROM support OTA updates or we have to update it manually?
@s.sawrav This ROM supports f2fs? Because I've flashed it and is not booting at all :/
EDIT: I tried to get logcat when booting, as I did with DU, but nothing goes out... I'm trying with the Immortal kernel version you did for me for DU to see if I can get to boot it. I don't know why I have problems with this rom... CM and Mokee for example work flawlessly.
EDIT 2: It booted with the kernel you did for me on the DU thread. I really have no idea what happens with my device, and I'm quite tired of this issue. Is there anything that I can do to avoid this issue?
Many thanks!

F2fs is not supported, btw i doubt that the kernel I gave for you in DU may work, but you can give it a try,let me know how it turns out meanwhile I'll make you another kernel for you to test out for zephyr when i have the time.

I edited my post again, it booted. But I find substratum quite buggy. I applied a theme and right now i cannot enter my pin code to unlock my sim. Ok, so if f2fs is not supported it explains why is not booting, I really don't understand what's going on. As I said, with the fix you gave me it booted fine.
Many thanks!

Good to know that the kernel worked for you for now just after flashing ROM flash the kernel, may i know your device variant again? Also about substratum is in beta so you've got to expect some bug's but so far that i used it,it's working really well and I'm quite liking it,specially the combo of dark material theme and blur tweaks looks really good to me,also i haven't faced any issue's till now(I'm still on zephyr),although i haven't locked my sim.

I have a Redmi 2 2014811 1GB RAM, the Substratum issue I think it's because I applied a theme on top of another and maybe it messed up something. Blur looks quite nice I must admit, maybe it could be added to recent apps too?
Tell me anything I can do to help yo to identify the problem, it's strange that I'm the only one... . I did a clean install with internal storage wipe too. Last time with DU I had Miui Lollipop installed and that maybe bring that problem. After that I flashed Miui kitkat with mi flash tool, and since then I've only been using CM13/Mokee. That's all that I can tell you. As I said, if you need anything I'll try to provide it.
Many thanks for your work!
EDIT: BTW, could you provide me an updated kernel with the same fix? I see this rom has native DT2W and with that kernel it doesn't seem to work. Many thanks!
Thanks s.sawrav for the ROM, I'm testing now.
A silly question, How do I launch the recent apps menu?

I think by default is by long pressing the home button, but I'm not sure, as I changed it. In the vortex section, on settings you can change the hardware buttons behavior as you want.

Alright I'll see what can be done,i have my exam tomorrow and since after i rejoined my college after a long hiatus due to my health issue i have been busy with college as i have a lot of things to catch up, so I'll definitely work on your issue but only when i have the time apart from ROM releases and college, also about dt2w natively is a bit experimental and seems to be not working natively although from KA it work's but as far as i remember the kernel i gave you didn't hhave dt2w,if it's there it'll be in KA.The kenrel base's are different for your kernel and the kernel source that i use,but i think i know which commit fixes your issue,I'll incorporate that in my main kenrel as long as it doesn't causes conflict with any other things,I'll put a test build for you as soon as I'm free.

Many thanks!! Of course your health and college go first. And also if I'm the only one with this issue you don't need to break your workflow only for me.
Don't spend too much time with this, as isn't something critical and it doesn't seem to affect anyone but me.
In calls, other side facing echo when i am using speaker. Is it something to do with ROM or any other settings.
And i used ARISE mod, it very awesome. Form very normal phone i am getting high quality sound.
Edit
Full phone number is not showing in incoming calls, only 8 digits are showing.
I am using this Beautiful ROM for 3 days.I can say the best ROM for better RAM management. Working like butter.
1) I think substratum has some bugs .But I will not complain about this bcz substratum is on beta version.
2) should I update sabtratum via play store? As I am getting a update .
3)In the first boot after boot animation it is taking a 8-10 seconds to go in language setup .in that few second it is getting black screen.Didn't encounter this in any other ROM.
3)not booting as primary or secondary ROM in multirom .
4)Plz implement OTA.
But overall butter smooth ROM.
@s.sawrav VoLTE worked for me on this ROM.
I am using Reliance JIO.

or

ROM is rootless?
Yes, this rom is rootless. Flash Magisk or SuperSU or LineageOS addon to gain root functionalities.
What is OpenDelta and how to use it? (Delta updates will be available later.)
- OpenDelta is an app developed by @Chainfire for OmniRoms which is open sourced and can be used by anyone. It's for providing incremental updates to users so instead of downloading a file of about 500+mb in size, you only need to download a file that's only about 20-50mb in size. This size can vary from update to update yet it'll still be better than the full zip.
- Checking for updates can be automated or manually invoked by user.
- If you want more files to be flashed with the delta update, put them under sdcard/OpenDelta/FlashAfterUpdate
- You can enable Secure Mode in OpenDelta settings to make sure that the delta updates are signed with proper key and no intermediate injection was done, only downside is that the additional zips won't be flashed.
- OpenDelta is in Customization - Misc.
- Remember to keep the full zip of latest you have flashed, else when the delta update available it will ask you to download full zip of latest version instead of patching your existing zip with delta update.
- If you are getting update disabled, make sure you clean flashed 23/02/2017 build or do a clean flash of any build after that and you will be fine later.
How to use Backup in OpenDelta properly?
- This feature is added recently and only supports system/data/cache/recovery and boot partitions with data compression ON and md5checksum OFF.
- There is currently no option to select which storage partition you want to backup yet, I will implement in future in my free time.
- Remember if there isn't enough space left on your device for backup, whole script will halt and no further installation will happen so make sure there is enough space on your storage.
- You will be shown a warning if you forgot to check Backup option under settings.
How to use CleanFlash in OpenDelta properly?
- This feature is added recently to clean flash the updates.
- This can work with Backup option so it's better if you click both Backup and CleanFlash options as then it will take a backup first before a clean flash.
- You will be shown a warning if you forgot to check Backup option under settings when you do a clean flash using this option.
How to submit a bootloop log?
- Visit this post and follow the procedure.
My apps don't have access to Clipboard, what's wrong?
- It's a security precaution and you can enable app's background clipboard access by going into Security and enable "Allow background clipboard access".
I am not able to access my USB devices, like my pen drive etc, they were working fine earlier. What's wrong?
- This is again a security precaution and you can give access them by going to Security - USB Accessories and choose appropriate option from there.
Are there any known issues in this rom before I report them to you?
- Smartbar settings doesn't get saved and force close in restoring.
- Report other stuff that's not mentioned here.
My phone is slow charging,, why?
- When the device is in use, charging current will directly reduce to under 1amp but when device kicks idle it'll charge faster and could go upto 1.9amp. It should fully charged within 2 hours and few minutes but if it takes much longer than that, I suggest to use a different charging adapter or cable. I can't suggest any other solution to this as my phone is getting charged within the expected time frame.
Here is a good charging analysis for op2 with a third party adapter company which is a good read.
What about a different bootanimation/logo or something else that makes the appearance of this rom better?
- Bootanimation/Launcher/Delight logo and everything that's subjective to the appearance of rom would be finalized later. This is all temporary till I finalize everything.
*Current Delight logo is provided by @zipalign which is a bit modified by me so all credits to him.
---- I will keep adding stuff here whenever I feel like it's needed to be.

HI @nicesoni_ash,
Thanks for the Oreo Build. I am currently on Lineage OREO build, but I see a lot of additional features in your build. I would like to flash this ROM, can I dirty flash this over Lineage Oreo build or do I have to do a clean flash.
Nice!
Thanks for the Rom.
Let's be delighted! :good:
This beta 1 build is the new one with the bugs squashed?

1. The ROM is updated 4 hrs ago, so its too early to comment about battery. Generally one should give min. 2- 3 battery cycles to check battery status
And 2. The most important thing - battery depends on user and is very much subjective. So its always better to use the ROM yourself and decide about the battery life
Anyway, the battery life for beta 1 was like any other o ROM for me...
Very nice @nicesoni_ash. Glad to see your hardwork and to see you are keeping the OnePlus 2 alive.
Hi, have to say really great ROM
noticed a little "error" though, automatic unlock on correct pin still shows wrong pin, but unlocks, so just a little design error.
and the compass in the statusbar doesnt seem to work, stuck on initializing ^^
Edit: also noticed security patch level still seems to be August ?
This looks awesome, I can't wait to try it out. Just gotta ask, does this ROM have OTA?

FAQ
Can I use Viper4Android (V4A) FX Audio with this rom?
If you want use V4A just flash latest Magisk Version, download modul "Viper4Android FX for Magisk v15" and install it.
Why did Bluetooth paring with car not working?
Most car bluetooth interfaces using A2DP for communication between phone and car. At moment A2DP not works really well on Oreo and force crashes of bluetooth app.
Great! I was just looking at their source code. And wondering if someone was gonna build!

Please, read the OP for the known bugs. I suppose that dt2w is not supported because it use the same source kernel as RR 5.8.5 but forgive me if I'm wrong.
I will test it soon.

If you want to have an idea I recommend to read last 3-4 pages of the unofficial LineageOS discussion just here. The base is the same.
Some problems are reported (BT connection, fingerprint, modem, etc.) but is very promising.
Installed today, im happy, very smooth
Ir- blaster works , tested with chinese led, remote i light
Titanium backup works, even restore
