Water damage - Sony Xperia C5 Ultra

So water got inside C5 Ultra and after a few hours doing some drying up I decided to boot it up, there was an instance that the back got really hot and won't turn on, ever since it's stuck on bootloop (Sony logo). I'm also able to access recovery mode but haven't tried anything yet.

[Q] big trouble with rooting my phone

Hey everyone. This is a quote from androidforums.com it is not my own writing, but this is my exact problem.
"Hey everybody, i recently bought a Sony Ericsson Xperia x10i and thought i should root my phone, using the following tutorial:
Newbies Guide to Rooting X10 and giving you the newest firmware! - xda-developers
So, i was following the steps and after i completed step 5, my phone refused to turn on. At first, the phone would initially vibrate like normal and the LED light would turn green, but then immediately turn off. 5 seconds later, the phone would start constantly vibrating with a black screen and the phone would become unresponsive. To turn it off i had to remove the battery.
I then downloaded the Sony Ericsson PC companion and tried to repair my phone. However, it did no good. Now my phone does the initial vibration, except this time the black screen would lighten up slightly and just stay like that.
I then attempted to charge my phone overnight and when i woke up it just flashes 3 red lights where the LED light is.
could somebody please help me? i only bought my phone 3 days ago and would be a COMPLETE waste of $600 if i was unable to get a replacement phone due to the void of warranty due to rooting.
Is there any way of fixing the phone? If not, is there any way of removing any trace of me rooting or attempting to root the phone (without turning the phone on since i can't) in order to use my warranty?"
My phone has now gone so flat (and doesn't seem to charge) that i can't enter flash mode.. although it was working last night before i went to bed and i did manage to update it using SEUS. But it wont boot up properly. Any ideas? I have noticed that there are a few other people that are having the same problem.. but no one seems to have a solution.
I have also noticed that it runs in a loop. When i plug it in the red light flashes for a while, then attempts to turn on.. and does the black screen for a while. Then it runs out of battery and goes back to the red flashing light. then it repeats.
Hope you can help. Thanks.
Have you tried flashing new firmware with flashtool?
As i tried to explain above.. my phone wont enter flash mode as it is too flat. And it wont charge. when i take it off the charger and try and turn it on. it flashes red three times then a break then three times again and so on.
Any ideas on whats going on?
would it be possible to still claim in on warranty as it wont start properly and wont connect to the computer.

[Q] Xperia Ray bricked after screen replacement

Hi guys, I searched internet and XDA high and low but didn´t find any answer on this (and it happened to me): The screen on my Xperia Ray was cracked. I replaced it. The new original replacement is quite OK... but... The device is stuck on boot screen, showing only the SE logo. Right after I put it together. Fine...there are milions of similar threads, right? All of them give advice about flashtool and other stuff. I´ve tried all that. The phone will update the firmware, will flash, will even charge the battery, but it won´t get past the Sony Ericsson (after update only SONY) logo. I´ve checked everything, even connectors inside...nothing. It did the exact same thing with the original firmware as well as with the new, updated one. Isn´t there something like "hardware lock" for non-original spare parts? (sounds crazy to me) So the question is: Shall I just use it as a door wedge?
P.S.: I´m more than sure that I didn´t damage any components inside + I deal with electronics on daily basis so I have some experience.
Thanks. I appreciate any clue or help.

Static electricity while replacing the device's screen? It could've easily damaged your device .
See this:
static electricity and electronics

I think this is highly unlikely the case since i was working in rubber gloves and was wearing a small metal chain connected to the central heating radiator (grounded). I always do this when working with sensitive electronics. It is one big mistery. I flashed the device with original Sony update using their original tools and now it won´t even charge battery. How sad.
You never know about static electricity! You'll be so guarded against them but somehow they'll creep in. They are the real devils for electronics!

I had the same problem with mine, it stayed for a while on sony logo, and after some time it reboots... The problem IS INDEED static electricity, some sensitive capacitors which are related to flash memory are damaged. This is how i managed to start it (i was desperate, i needed the data), i left it on sony logo, until the battery died, and when i try to turn it on, i got red light blinking. Connected the charger, and turn on the phone as soon it starts charging - stuck on sony logo... So i tried again, and again, and again, and it worked! I don't know how, but the phone booted! I knew that if i turn it off, it won't boot again, and i was correct. So i tried again with my trick, and after few tries, it worked again. I had the phone up and running 5-6 days without shutdown, and afterwards i could turn it off/on without problems, but for short intervals (sim change/flash using recovery), and it was working fine until 2 weeks later when i accidentally got it wet (a few drops - enough for the headphone symbol to come up), so i turned the phone off and left it to dry. After that it didn't wanted to boot again, so i opened it up, to check for moisture, but it was completely dry... I had trouble starting the phone, AGAIN it just stayed on the SONY logo and after A LOT of tries, i managed to start it again, it worked for a day, i turned it off, and that was the end of my story... Since then i never managed to start the phone again, just sony logo, and one more thing - when i enter recovery, bunch of errors come out - can't mount data, can't mount system, can't mount anything! I guess this was the problem from the start, but this time the water finished the job, and scre*ed up the phone completely...

access internal S6 memory problem

Hello,
A friend of mine told me she charged her phone, suddenly the phone rebooted, loaded the SA from samsung, and got stuck.
Then the phone wouldn't charge anymore.
Initial investigation told me there was a form of oxidation on the usb charger module.
I cleaned it and I could charge the phone to 100%
I can't boot up the phone, it loads back to th SA from samsung , then goes black again, but there's a blueish light pinking on and off.
I did a "simulated" battery removal and tried to reboot in recovery.
There i first got a message : update failed with the android dead on its side, then got the recovery option.
I chose: reboot normally and i got the phone screen for about 5 seconds, then it went black again, but now with a white flashing light and the phone became very hot for a moment.
I disconnected the charger and the light kept blinking.
So i waited untill the light went out (approx 24h) then plugged the charger back in..
Tried cleaning out again , but the phone does not respond anymore.
My friend would like to recover her pictures that are stored on the internal memory card.
I'm out of ideas on how to recover the phone.
I need help, and probably a lot of it (she's very cute )
Any ideas on how to fix my/her predicament?
Many greetings
Izzy

S6 edge(SM-G925T) Overheating and Malfunction

2 days ago when charging my phone, my phone gave me a Battery Temperature warning and stopped charging the phone. I checked the Phone for overheating but it was cold not hot, I even used a temperature gun to check. I assumed It was just acting weird but eventually in the middle of the night when I went off to sleep It drained to zero. The next morning I plug it in assuming that it works now and no response from the phone, No vibrations, back light flicker, and no notification light. I tried entering Recovery, Nothing. I tried safe mode boot, Nothing. But ODIN/Download mode would work if only connected to usb. I tried flashing the latest firmware on the phone. It flashed successfully but didn't reboot. I tried flashing custom firmware but was blocked by FRP lock. Right now the phone is a paperweight and lifeless. Everything was backed up on Dec 8th online luckily, but I don't have the money for a new phone. Any help or tips?

Pixel (1) XL stuck in bootloop, no fix after factory reset

Hoping for some help or alternatives to fix my fiancee's Pixel XL. Last night the phone just kept flashing the 'G' logo on for 10 seconds, off for 10 seconds. She said the phone was close to dying before it happened, and I imagine it probably ended up draining the battery afterwards with the constant bootloop. Plugged it in all night but the charging screen didn't come up and would just stay in the bootloop. I could get it into the boot loader (power button and volume down), but it wouldn't go into recovery mode and instead would go right back to the boot loop.
So I tried a battery pack to charge it and it still didn't show charging, but I was able to get it into recovery mode eventually, but still boot loop afterwards. At one point, after leaving it on boot loader menu while attempting to charge, it eventually just tried to start itself and made its way to the second Google splash screen after the main G logo. Looked like it froze there though and I couldn't get it to that point again.
On my way to work this morning I tried plugging it into my car's USB port after powering off from the boot loader, and this time I kept flashing that it was charging (looked like it was 3/4 charged but not sure how accurate that is). So I got into recovery again and tried 3 factory resets consecutively. Still bootloop after attempting a startup afterwards. There was a similar issue a couple weeks ago where it looked like it was stuck in a bootloop, but it turned out the phone actually was dead that time and the charger wasn't working. Once we switched chargers it booted right up.
Any other suggestions or possibilities? I don't have much troubleshooting experience otherwise. Phone is fully stock, Google Fi. Any other info I can provide please let me know!
