This thread is for the D855 variants. Files are from software version 30B (Android 6.0 Marshmallow).
Included below: TWRP-flashable stock rom, boot and modem zips. KDZ and individual images are also included.
*There is NO anti-rollback qfuse used in this update so downgrading is still possible. See below for more downgrade info.
Please do not mirror files!
Requirements:
You must have TWRP 2.8.7+ installed to use these files. Thanks to Dees_Troy as always for that.
Best to already be rooted and have TWRP installed while on Android 4.x - 5.x then flash the zips in this thread to update to a rooted stock Marshmallow. It has been reported that 30B can be temp-rooted with Kingroot 4.6.5. So you COULD flash the 30B KDZ, temp-root with Kingroot and then read my long/annoying post here to perm root http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=64626209&postcount=529 . *update on root* With the info I provided in the previous sentence.. AutoRec for D855 has been updated for Marshmallow 30B.
Install Directions:
These directions should be used by everyone who wants a rooted 30B system. Don't want root? Then it's probably easiest to just flash the stock KDZ.
Before beginning it is suggested to backup your EFS in TWRP then save it to an external SD card or the cloud or your PC etc etc...
1. D/L 30B boot(V2), modem (Hybrid) and system zips along with SuperSu 2.52 and place on internal storage.
(Thanks to Chainfire for SuperSu and thanks to msubhani for confirming 2.52 works)
2. (Re)boot into TWRP. Backup current partitions: boot, system, data, efs. Press home button.
3. If coming from 100% stock Lollipop then a factory reset is optional.
COMING FROM ANY OTHER ROM needs a factory reset [Wipe button > swipe slider]
4. Install modem, boot, system and SuperSu zips (in that order!)
[Install button > select modem > Add zip > select boot > Add zip > system > Add zip > SuperSu > swipe to confirm]
All done.. time to reboot back into Android. (if TWRP asks if you want to install SU, no!)
Any issues with apps crashing etc after boot up may require a factory reset in TWRP for a fresh install of M.
Any issues with no root after flashing all 4 zips... boot back into TWRP and just reflash SuperSu zip.

LG-D85530B-Flashable.System.zip
100% stock untouched system. Also comes with cust partition. MD5 = e10f135e92d5246370ea6f5b8d36c6e5
Mirror here.
LG-D85530B-Flashable.Modem.RPM.TZ-AutoHybrid.zip
This is a hybrid 30B modem, rpm and tz zip with parts from 21A and 30B. 100% 30B modem does not yet work with Bump-compatible bootloaders so the option is to use this hybrid modem or use a Lollipop modem. Original 30B modem is still available in the Codefire Directory link further below if needed. Also HERE is the 21A modem/rpm/tz combo just in case you don't want to use the hybrid.
LG-D85530B-Flashable.Boot-AutoV2.zip
This is a flashable stock 30B boot.img. Boot.img contains kernel + dtb + ramdisk. I repacked this to make some things work then Bump'd it. Thanks to Codefire for BUMP.
CODEFIRE DIRECTORY
KDZ, stock images, flashable zips and all other 30B-related files available here.
30B KDZ Mirror
Downgrade/Revert:
1. Use LGUP HERE to flash a previous KDZ version. The LGUP thread assumes you have a G4... so instead of downloading the "8992 DLL use the DLL installer LGUP_8974_DLL_Ver_0_5_CODEFIRE.MSI HERE instead.
2. Restore your TWRP backups. Depending on your TWRP build it may or may not backup modem. If it does not and you flashed the 30B modem you will have to find a Lollipop modem zip elsewhere. All versions of TWRP should backup Boot, system and data.. so only other variable is modem/rpm/tz.
3. Use LG Flash + TOT + NEW DLL HERE to downgrade. I think LGUP is the better option tho... LGUP can flash both KDZ and TOT and doesn't care which COM port it's using.

CM devs have already got their hands on this to grab the blobs for CM13! http://review.cyanogenmod.org/#/q/topic:g3_M_blobs
Currently the new 30B modem doesn't mesh with the downgraded bootstack which is needed for BUMP. Current fix is to keep the hybrid modem I linked in the above post or using the 21A or 21C modems... I've also linked 21A modem/tz/rpm above so you won't have to hunt for everything. Everything required should be in this thread somewhere.
I plan on poking the modem stuff more once I can get an M build for my G3 version.

First of all thanks a lot for the zips
Just one question, in the instructions its says 'Flash FULL 30B ZIP', does that mean all the zips or just the System? I have this doubt because the bootloader is new so we cant use bump on the new bootloader right?

i only get security errors....
boot certification faild.
could it be because i flash it over fulmics

no sim card message, no root.

i loaded up the recovery, appriciate the devs work. But no go on this side of the word

So, clean install would kill root, right?

Can I do a full wipe on fulmics and install the 3 zips along with sharpening fix and supersu?

Hi guys!
I know there are fellow impatient D5833 owners out there who are tired of waiting for lollipop and want to try it out already, so I made this ROM. Tried and tested. Please report any bugs.
This is not the official FW from Sony for D5833. I am using the D5803 stock firmware.
Backup! If you want to downgrade back to KitKat you are going to have to do so using Flashtool, you will lose all data.
Do not install on encrypted devices.
Flash this ROM at your own risk. I am not responsible for any damage.
Info:
Customized NCB_1288-5411_23.1.A.0.690_R9C
SuperSU-v2.46
AndroPlusKernel v50a
Required:
- Full root on KitKat (Stock - 23.0.A.2.93/23.0.1.A.5.77) with recovery.
- Unlocked bootloader.
Installation:
1. Download zip.
2. Enter recovery and wipe cache and dalvik cache.
3. Flash zip.
4. Reboot.

1) You should indicate that this is for unlocked bootloader only, not for all.
If you flash this on a locked bootloader, you'll get a blank screen or a bootloop.
2) I guess this should be in development section
3) What about basebands? D5833 works on different LTE frequencies...
Can you add the mods you use

Oops, forgot to mention that. The thread is moved in the correct section, my mistake
Regarding the baseband, I've experience no problems using C Euro/Nordic D5803 basebands on D5833. I could not get 4G on Israel, USA, SA, Turkey. I'm on EE 4G network in United Kingdom. I found that my 4G is faster on this baseband after testing with speedtest

I haven't added any, this is pure stock. Apart from R/W on sys fix, kernel and root
I have backup in the Backup and Restore app and i'm aware i need a locked bootloader to use it though. Can i relocked my bootloader after a successful reboot? Is there any consequence?

Is this the only backup that you have? I'm pretty sure that the Backup and Restore app isn't working because of no DRM keys.
I'd advise you to move that backup data onto your PC, and then try the DRM function restoration by jimRnor
FW android 5 D5833
Hi man, thanks for your effort, I have a D5833.
My device is rooted, locked bootloader (DRM intact) and the 23.0.A.2.106 version, which is the downgrade made in the process (http://forum.xda-developers.com/z3-compact/general/how-to-root-backup-drm-keys-t3013343).
By the requirements this tutorial would not work on my phone. Is how you do a firmware (D5833) Android 5 pre-rooted?
Hi,
Is it possible to flash this ROM over Cyanogenmod 12?
If not, what steps are necessary to do this? My bootloader is unlocked.
Thanks!

I didn't use that method, I backed up my DRM keys and used http://forum.xda-developers.com/z3-compact/development/to-drm-keys-unlock-bootloader-custom-t3065914 to restore DRM functions. Since this rom has AndroPlus in the zip, relocking the BL is going to result in bootloops

You'll need a full wipe (sys, data, cache, dalvik cache) since you're going back to stock, backup your apps and data and flash the zip from recovery, enjoy!
FW android 5 D5833
What I do not know about is to make the pre-rooted FW, tried and failed. Wanted to put directly the FW Android 5 without going through the final .77, but do not know if this is that there (http://forum.xda-developers.com/z3-compact/general/how-to-root-backup-drm-keys-t3013343) is the D5833:
26 - Read the information and follow the instructions Given by the tool.
- Install latest firwmare with root, DRM keys, recovery -
Or, for Lollipop - fw 23.1.A.0.690 (Android 5.0 March 2015) at https://mega.co.nz/#!Y8tTQZgQ!yV5L2u...klmMdSl3EZ6t18 then skip directly to step 33.

Well, if I understood your post correctly, the rigtht process to change from CM12 to your Firmware as followed:
1. Download the zip to sdcard0 or sdcard1 (external SD Card)
2. Start in recovery mode ( Cyanogen recovery possible only on CM12)
3. Full wipe (wipe data/factory reset)
4. install downloaded zip (apply update)
Is it right? I´m not shure what you are mean with "since you're going back to stock..."
Thanks!
xposed working?
Thanks for this. I really wanted to try lollipop already. Xposed working on this also?

Sadly it did not work to flash the ROM. After I did the factory Reset, flashed the zip file and at approximately 30% switched back to the recovery menu. I repeated several times, but it did not finished the flash process.. Any Idea, what I could do?

Edit 2 - no root and loss twrp

Lineage always messes up going back to stock roms. I've had this problem to on 20g to after being on lineage. You'll have to kdz to 20f and get twrp. I had put this on the flashing instructions you must be on 20f/g. .

There is an option to update from SD in the stock recovery. It's just that it doesn't recognize the stock update.zip in the stock recovery because I probably don't have it named right. Was just wondering if anyone knew what to name it, where to download the update.zip, how to update with it etc. Didn't mean to offend anybody ?

Yes that is probably one of its biggest changes vs MM.
Follow this guide to a T: https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g-pad-83/development/nougat-7-0-v521-guide-to-update-v521-lg-t3533338
then boot into recovery, copy my TWRP backup to internal/microsd/usb, in TWRP restore the system and boot partitions that are automatically checked.
Download the latest systemless or system mode supersu.zip and copy it to the main install folder C:\Program Files x86\Minimal ADB and Fastboot\.
Then in twrp click ADB sideload > do not check anything to erase > open minimal adb/fastboot and type adb sideload whateveryounamedyoursupersuzipfile.zip and you should be good to go.

Instructions:
Odin
Download latest Odin zip from downloads.corsicanu.ro/samsung
Download and install Samsung Drivers (if you have them installed you can skip this step)
Go to settings/Developer options and enable OEM unlock (If you don't see developer settings, go into Settings/About phone/Software info and tap "Build number" 10 times to show Developer options menu)
Download TWRP_*.tar
Switch off the phone
Use Bixby Key+Volume Down+Power to enter Download Mode and connect the device to usb
Open Odin and untick autoreboot in "options" tab. Also make sure that your device is detected
Put TWRP_*.tar.md5 file into AP tab
Click Start
When Odin shows "PASS", take your device in hands, disconnect the usb cable and press simultaneously the "Bixby key" + "Vol. Down" + "Power" buttons until the downoad mode disappears
At the precise moment the screen becomes black, immediately release the "Vol.Down" button and press the "Bixby key" + "Vol. UP" + "Power" buttons during 10 to 15sec to forcefully enter TWRP
If it didn`t worked, redo the steps from #1 more careful this time.
TWRP
Download TWRP_*.img, push it into phone storage, choose install image in your current recovery, navigate to downloaded *.img file, select it, select to flash as recovery.
After booting in TWRP download and flash no-verity-opt-encrypt-6.1 zip to disable data partition encryption
If for any reason you fail to install TWRP multiple times/different methods, make sure you check this thread

Q: How to format data partition?
A:
Q: Phone is showing only Samsung logo
A: Try to reboot. If still not booting, consider installing an older TWRP build or a more recent firmware.
Q: I get "Failed to mount /preload message", what to do?
A: From wipe menu select Advanced Wipe, select preload partition to be wiped and reboot recovery.

datafix is for oreo issues where twrp could not properly access internal storage.
format is if you come from stock rom and still have encrypted storage.

im on the same phone and no such issue with new twrp i was on a newer twrp than yours and had formatted and flash dm verty zip initially from stock oreo. dirty flash your rom again just to see. if still no go then follow OP to the T to reflash it correctly.
did you ever flash oreo bootloader? because from what i understand, looks like you were on nougat before and flashed a oreo rom without upgrading fully to stock oreo before hand.

1. I went from stock rom to Repulsa, using SuperSU. No issues.
2. Nougat to Oreo. Could be the issue. I did not update the BL. Don't know if the ROM did. I will check.
Do you happen to have a link to the correct BL?
Thanks for the tips!

i could extract it but u can basically get it from unziping stock.(see link below)
since we are on the n950n, I'm almost sure repulsa rom didnt update it because mostly all roms that might include the BL will have mainly the F/DS bootloader, most dont even update it though.
latest BL would be U3. might be a good idea to update cp(modem) while you are at it too, so grab latest stock firmware and extract both from:
https://samsung-firmware.org/model/SM-N950N/
if download is slow, i can provide these 2 files in a few minutes because package is so big just to get them smaller files.
so only put bl and cp in odin and at least you will be on the latest stuff. dont know what is taking so long for BL U4 to arrive for our korean n950ns....
edit
latest bl and cp for N950N only:
https://1drv.ms/f/s!AhXVLDDj8g3AgdYhY8DslnHgCVMMEw
i also put samfirm downloader for future reference, its a fast way to get latest firmware. those hosting websites are so slow sometimes... updato.com is a fast one but firmwares arent always up to date though

You can track the progress of builds here
Update 18/11/2018
Beta build released.
Current status - Beta (tested working)
Treble supported
Update 14/12/18 - OTG support added.
You flash this at your own risk. Please ensure you have the stock ROM to hand downloaded from SAMMOBILE in case of problems. This will trip the knox counter.
NOTE: ON ANDROID 5.1.1> DEVICES IT IS NECESSARY TO GO TO:
Settings -> Developer Options -> OEM unlocking
AND ENABLE OEM UNLOCK FIRST OR YOU MAY ENCOUNTER 'BLOCKED BY FRP LOCK' WHEN FLASHING.
*****INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS:*****
Flash with ODIN in the AP slot.
1. Put your device in DOWNLOAD mode.
(Hold POWER + VOL DOWN + VOL UP)
2. Load the file below into the AP slot and hit start.
twrp_3.2.3-1_sm-a605_141218
3. After flashing and ODIN reports PASS immediately force reboot to recovery. Do NOT let the device boot to the OS.
You should now see TWRP recovery.
4. Flash the RMM bypass zip
https://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=4481843&d=1524258795
NOTE: FAILURE TO FOLLOW THE STEPS ABOVE IMPLICITLY WILL RESULT IN STOCK RECOVERY REPLACING TWRP AT FIRST BOOT.
5. Reboot to TWRP (Do not boot to the OS yet)
6. Move on to root instructions below. This is a requirement to get the device to boot.
*****OREO ROOT INSTRUCTIONS:*****
1. Flash the Forced encryption disabler patch. This is only required if you wish to have full functionality in TWRP.
Flashing this will disable Samsung's forced encryption. Disabling encryption will allow TWRP to mount the data partition.
After flashing the patch it is necessary to *FORMAT* (not wipe) the /DATA partition using the FORMAT DATA button under the wipe options.
PLEASE NOTE THIS WILL DELETE EVERYTHING ON INTERNAL STORAGE AND FACTORY RESET THE DEVICE, SO BACK UP ANYTHING YOU WISH TO KEEP.
A605_oreo_forced_encryption_disabler
2. To root I suggest installing Magisk as this is a currently supported project, SuperSu is no longer getting active development.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/official-magisk-v7-universal-systemless-t3473445
3. Enjoy your rooted device.

I will try it out in the evening. 15:00 we have here now in Romania, I will be arround in 7 hours.
I recommend all testers, to patch the boot.img with magisk from their own localized firmware. Download your firmware from samsungbay.
1. Flash the whole firmware, all included 5 files with odin.
2. extract from the AP_ file the boot.img.lz4 .
3. unpack the boot.img.lz4 with a command line tool. I ran into problems and not patchable boot.img with extracting with 7zip.
4. Install magisk manager app and go to install. Choose the before extracted boot.img from the original firmware. Magiskt will now patch the boot img and you will be able to flash it via odin.
------------------------------------------------------
5. after all that worked fine, flash the recovery with odin.
Now you should have a twrp recovery and boot into it. Format the data etc. at mentioned in the inital post.

Can I ask why you are suggesting that people patch the boot image with Magisk manager?
It's unnecessary. Just flash the Magisk zip with TWRP and you're done for root.

There's a good chance as the sources are the same for all models.
In my experience with other devices it will work without issue.
It's not strictly necessary to flash the patched boot image as Magisk may be able to patch the boot image. However not always which is why I provided it pre-patched.

What you're suggesting is no different to flashing the Magisk zip with TWRP. Except using Magisk manager just makes it a more long winded process, as there are extra steps involved.
As long as Magisk and RMM patch are flashed before booting to system there shouldn't be an issue.

H932 custom roms always bootlooping plus encryption questions

Hi,
I have a H932, unlocked bootloader and twrp installed twice as advised in thisthread.
I've tried liquid, lineage and Resurrection and all of them except RR bootloop. I'm assuming because it is a GSI? I'm flashing the H932 versions of all these roms.
I must have missed something so if anyone has any suggestions?
I wonder if it's because I'm using TWRP 3.2.3-7 instead of 3.3.0 but I couldnt flash the No_Verity files using the latest version so had to drop back to 3.2.3-7. If this is the case, how do I flash those files to ensure I don't get encrypted. What happens if I don't flash the files and end up encrypted?
I am clutching at straws here, so any help would be greatly appreciated.
My lineage is tested on H932, and works ?
Whats your flashing process exactly?
Wipe system, data, cache and dalvik cache (after you took a backup)
and then flash
ROM, Gapps, (optionally) Magisk
For encryption: all AOSP roms have /data set to encryptable, not forceencrypt, so except you (try to) enable encryption in the settings, it wont do anything (and even that is broken to my knowledge)

Hey, thanks for the response. I'm just reading through the [ROOT] H932 - lafploit 1.5 up to v20k thread again and realised I haven't flashed a stock Oreo TWRP flashable rom before flashing lineage. Do I need to do this?
I have factory reset in TWRP and wiped system, data, cache / dalvik and then flashed the rom, gapps, magisk and No_Verity 6.
If not flashing an Oreo rom is the issue, can you recommend one? I've got a 3 gig H932_20o.zip from the root thread, but really I'm just interested in the custom roms.

Yeah you shouldn't go from Nougat H932 firmware to Pie custom ROMs.
People have fingerprint sensor issues, etc. if they don't have at least Oreo firmware when flashing custom ROMs

Thanks again, I'm rocking Lineage from February and everything seems to be working great.
I'm just wondering if someone can actually clarify what I've done by following the H932 TWRP and Root guide. I've been flashing roms since the days of the original XDA and the HTC HD2, but this seems like one of the wierder devices and I'd really like to understand what's going on.
So I have 2 versions of TWRP. One on LAF and one on the bootloader?
What is LAF?
In my haste I flashed the old H932_20o which works for now and has made the february Pie roms work, but I would like to flash the H932_20r from here, as from what I understand this is necessary to ensure less issues with the April pie roms. If I flash the full version of this, will it overwrite LAF?
Do I even need to retain TWRP on LAF when it's already on the bootloader? Do I need to boot back into FWUL and run the script from there to get TWRP back onto LAF if the 20o rom overwrote it? I'd try and find out myself, but it seems the only way to get into the TWRP on the LAF is to hold down and go through that wipe process with the white screens, which i'd rather avoid.
No one seems to talk about vendor images being flashed to match the latest security updates. Is this becuase LG are so slow in releasing vendor updates?
Apologies for all the questions. I appreciate that these have probably been answered already, but they are spread across multiple vendors of hundereds of pages and I'm having trouble piecing all this information together.

Why 20r? Why not newer 20s?
LAF TWRP is redundant and you no longer have LGUP Download mode, since you wiped it out from flashing 2nd copy of TWRP over your LAF partition.

So if I flash the full stock, it'll update the LAF, recovery, bootloader and modem firmware. Which is presumably what I want if I want to be on the most up to date vendor, modem etc.
But if it overwrites LAF and the bootloader with stock presumably somehow I've got to get TWRP back onto it? Can I just flash a TWRP image to the bootloader straight after the stock flash or do I need to go back to FWUP to do this?
I think I'll wait for the 20s version, but it'd be useful to fully understand what's going on so I don't brick it.
If I do brick it, can I just go back to LG UP and flash the 10d version and follow the guide again?
OK, should read properly:
None of these Zips flash the Recovery partition.
Besides StockLAF, these Zips DO NOT flash the LAF partition.

This is TWRP-flashable zip. You will not lose TWRP custom recovery. Why would you brick it?
You need to read the instructions, please.
IF you flash the LAF file, you will regain Download mode and "lose" the redundant copy of TWRP you also flashed over your LAF partition.
"Flashing LAF WILL REMOVE TWRP from your laf partition and restore stock DL Mode"
"None of these Zips flash the Recovery partition."
You may have to flash the no encryption and no root check files again, besides Magisk.

I think I'm misunderstanding where TWRP is actually located on the device. I am reading, just failing to understand.

So basically never flash a LAF zip or a recovery partition and I'll never loose TWRP. Stay away from unmodified KDZ's.

You have it in two places right now. In your recovery partition (normal), as it's TWRP custom recovery that replaces the useless stock recovery.
And due to the way the H932 root Instructions are written you also flashed it over your LAF partition, where your Download mode WAS. Right now, you no longer have LGUP Download mode if you wanted to use that, and instead you have TWO copies of TWRP.
In the WTF INSTRUCTIONS, we never do that. However, the dev who rooted the H932 (and wrote those Instructions) feels there's an advantage to having TWO copies of TWRP and giving up LGUP Download mode. Been discussed in depth elsewhere and we've agreed to disagree.
When you flash H932 20R TWRP flashable zip, you can choose to keep both copies of TWRP or you can choose to restore your Download mode and have the normal recovery partition copy of TWRP. Your choice.

Right now you couldn't flash a KDZ if you wanted to, as you no longer have Download mode. Instead you have redundant 2nd copy of TWRP where LGUP Download mode used to live.
All you can install right now is TWRP- flashable zips or ROMs.
Thank you, that's super helpful. I really appreciate your patience.
So just one last question and I think I'm clear........ I'll avoid getting into a debate about the merits of 2 TWRP's vs Download mode.........
If I restore LAF and have a download mode at any point I can flash the 10d firmware and start over.
The flip side, is that I can then only get into TWRP by holding down + power - hold and release power and going through the "factory reset" process to access the recovery, or getting an app that boots directly into TWRP. But the assumption is that the rom is bootable for that to work.
Seems strange that it makes you do a factory rese to the device to access the recovery.
Basically, just don't flash anything over the recovery.

I never get into TWRP that way. What you are describing is the hardware button dance, which is only for emergencies.
To boot to TWRP initially (first time after installation) you simply use fastboot boot recovery command. You're already connected to the computer.
After that your use the Reboot Recovery app, as STONGLY suggested in the WTF INSTRUCTIONS. Put shortcut on your main screen.

Here's the relevant section of TWRP Instructions from WTF, which also works for H932 (the TWRP installation part is universal)
_________
TLDR:
* flash twrp: fastboot flash TWRP.img (TWRP-3.2.3-7-default.img re-named as just "TWRP.img")
* boot twrp: fastboot boot TWRP.img (TWRP-3.2.3-7-default.img re-named as just "TWRP.img")
* swipe to allow modifications (do NOT leave read-only, TWRP NEEDS to be able to make changes to your system.)
* select WIPE, then also FORMAT DATA, then type yes
* wipe cache, dalvik, data
* flash magisk 18.0.
* flash encryption disabler
* flash root disabler
* reboot
STRONG SUGGESTION: After successfully doing all this, when you finally boot back to LG Oreo, install THIS app to easily facilitate rebooting to TWRP recovery in the future: Recovery Reboot
Also, please make another TWRP backup.

Yes. Whereas without Download mode, you could NOT flash 10d KDZ and start over. Now you are beginning to understand why I (personally, my opinion) do not advocate giving up Download mode...

If it's H932, there's no way you can access twrp via fastboot. Fastboot just fancy bootloader (un)locker there. Is that all about twrp on laf Vs. twrp on recovery? I know, we can boot up twrp via device reset combination, but then how to access laf's twrp? Does vol up + power works? Let me assume that twrp only managed to handle "customization things" and DL mode laf for "lastest hope". If one twrp can't handle some "recovery" task, so two trwp(s) won't get things better. But download mode certainly does.
