It is considered as downgrade and not allowed.
I am not sure the best way to bypass this.
You could either not flashing the BL file (unable to otc when I did this) or find a newer version >=APC

I don't quite know. It was totally usable but when I tried to OTA update, it failed so I flashed a newer version.
My experience is about G935A but I think there are G930A newer version roms around.

Is PB5 not the current version?

It works, but is the same that February update.

Well for now it's better than nothing and can recover a rooted or bricked phone I suppose.

Thank you for this. The newest FW baseband version for the AT&T G930A is "APF2".
The firmware posted will only work for people who are still on the same version or earlier as the posted FW version. It will not work for anyone with newer firmware regardless of which Odin version is used. Basically, this can not be used to restore to stock if you have the "APF2" firmware already on your phone. With a locked bootloader, firmware can not be down graded. This should still be helpful to those on earlier basebands.
If anyone finds the newest "APF2" firmware, please post a link to it.

I can flash back to APC even if I am APE(g935A).
From what I heard, unconfimed, I could flash the version whose nineth charactor of the firmware version string is not smaller. For apb, it is 1; for apc and above, it is 2.

Yes, thank you. This does sound correct. It has to do with the advancing numbers as you stated. Once the phone goes to "1" it can no longer go back to "0" and once it goes to "2" it can no longer go back to "1"...etc. Once the fuse has blown, it can not be restored without switching out the mother board to one with the previous version firmware. So I guess this means if the baseband version still has the same "nineth" number, give it a shot.
Again, thanks for the added info.

Ahh I see. This is my first go round with phones updated so much.

Its just an e-fuse not a physical fuse
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using XDA-Developers mobile app

So if that is right......to restore a phone to the original settings one would need the proper baseband version firmware for a G930A. Now the question is where can it be found?

I've been looking everywhere. PB5 is all I can find...

[Q] Stuck in boot loop and internal storage is 0 MB

hello every 1
basically my galaxy GT-I9300 is stuck at boot loop and the internal storage is 0MB heres what i have done
i've installed cm11 before installing it i've backed up the stock android on a sd card
after a month i have removed cm11 and made a wipe and re-installed the stock os from the sd card the phone worked fine
after 2 days i've woke up and the phone was off it wont start i plugged in the charger after 3 hours i came back powered it up and it's stuck i can access TWRP 2.8.5.0 but i can't do a wipe or format or anything
so i downloaded the stock android on my pc to install it using odin but when i press on start this what i get
"<ID:0/007> Odin v.3 engine (ID:7)..

and it won't recognize a sd card
help me :crying::crying:
Try the rescue firmware, search general forum for the thread. If that fails then try flashing BLFB bootloader alone, but it sounds like your nand memory has failed.

Bricked Samsung S6 G925F

Hi All,
I am having a real headache with my Samsung galaxy s6 been bricked, I will explain what happened and what I have done so far
I rooted my phone and installed a custom rom, upon the phone booting up it just boot looped so I tried to flash it back to stock and then the problem started.
I can get in to download mode and when I try and flash a stock rom file it fails at NAND wipe, the phone displays something about SW Rev Binary 4 phone 1, I have managed to flash the modem.bin file and can get in to recovery but that displays another message something like dm verify verification failed.
So now I am at a loss, I have even tried to flash a new pit file but just fails at NAND stage in odin.
Any help would be great.
P.S the phone it locked to o2 so I have tried o2 and the BTU stock roms.

Sw rev just shows up because the phone is rooted.
As for dm verity that is your imei messed up.
When flashing a custom rom you must always back up efs files which is your imei.
Its a ball ache reviving messed up imei without efs backup.
What i would suggest is boot to recovery and wipe cache partition, wipe data/ reset. Then try to flash stock again. I would flash 02 stock firmware 1st.
If no luck flash latest BTU firmware with zerolte_eur_open pit.

Hi All,
I am having a real headache with my Samsung galaxy s6 been bricked, I will explain what happened and what I have done so far

SM-G925F - No Recovery + Bootloop and Wrong SW REV.

Hello,
I have a Galaxy S6 Edge with a few Problems.
Whenever it starts, I can only see the Bootlogo. I tried to get into the Recovery but it istn Possible. Only the Downloadmode is working. I tried to Flash the latest original Firmware but it doesnt work.

I'm new to Flashing Samsung but I flased a few HTC and Oneplus Devices.
My Region Code is DBT and i tried to flash the "G925FXXS4DPJ5" Firmware.

What error did you get in Odin?
In Odin it fails at Flashing sboot.bin
It seems like i got a newer Bootloader because i tried to flash the DTM firmware. Is there any way to downgrade the bootloader ?
When I try to flash the DTM firmware it fails.

if its failing at sboot then you may need to flash the bootloader as well if you are flashing as separate files
try to flash firmware with pit file or flash hidden separately
I tried to flash the firmware again with the right PIT file.
Odin said everything is okay but i still cant boot the system oder into recovery :/

need help - Samsung SM-j500F/ds bricked after flashing SlimROM

Hi!
This is my device what I bricked:
Samsung SM-J500F/DS
Here is what Idid:
Rooted the device and everything was fine until I flashed with SlimROM for SM-J500F Nougat 7.1.2.
The device did not started anymore.
Now, I downloaded from Samsung web site a stock ROM this:
J500FXXU1BQH1_J500FOXX1BQG2_XEH
After this flash the phone started but had no network and some error popped up.
I decide to reset to factory, but that didn't solved the problem, what I actually expected.
The I was realized does maybe I messed up and interchanged the downloaded rom, and I flashed my phone with
a wrong baseband version and now the fon can not start, but I get a message on the screen:
"An error has occurred while updating the device software. Use the Emergency recovery function in the Smart Switch PC software."
I was trying with Smart Switch software, but the app can not start the flashing cos it gives me an error something like "unknown device attached" or similar.
Odis can recognize the phone but can not flash the device. It hung at "Get PIT for mapping" but some time on some other point.
Probably I messed up accidentally when I was flashed my phone with the wrong version of stock rom.
I didn't checked before what was my original baseband version.
What can i do now?
I searched for a rom for my phone with dual sim but I can't find any, even on the official Samsung site.
Is it ok if I flash my SM-J500F/DS with the rom of SM-J500F? without the DS .
Tanks for any suggestion and/or help.
At the moment I got this error from Odin"

Problem solved.
Flashed back to a lover version of ROM and then updated to the actual stock ROM.
Now everything is fine.
