I am an above average user of the phone and have to charge my battery almost twice in day (Which is about 18 hours). The WiFi drains out large amount of battery. However, for the issue at hand, I would say that Le Max 2 has a battery life about about 10-14 hours.

Le max 2 is not draining the battery when you don't use it. But when the screen is on, the drain usage is fast. If you want more info on battery third review is accurate I think : http://m.gsmarena.com/leeco_le_max_2-review-1449p3.php

Now both of them cost 200$
Can I have a suggestion? How much screen on hours does Leeco's Le Max 2 battery scores? And is the fingerprint really bad?

fingerprint if work.. is good.. "IF WORK" I bought 2 le max 2 and only one work
my battery score is about 4 hours of eavy games (the le max2 have two months of life)

Nexus 6P Battery life thread

Everything on the N6P fit my bill except I'm still a bit skeptical on battery life. Its got one of the biggest battery capacity right now of 3450 mAh + new marshmallow power saving feature but I'm worried about the power hungry Qualcomm 810. My current G4 is only with 3000 mAh which I get roughly ~3-4hr SOT of gaming/chat/browsing/GPS which only last me 2/3 of the day so I always carry two batteries. (I hate carrying an urine pack). Compare to N6P, G4 also use 808 processor. I'm wondering if N6P on single charge can finally last me a full day. I found none of hands-on got battery remarks, so wondering if anyone got any reference data
im waiting for some reviews too because i dont think this phone will last me one full day.
lets see, hope im wrong.
cheers
The faster charging negates this stuff for me, I'm very rarely not around an outlet.
i don't have any technical sources to help my argument, but the use of 4 low-power cores should, in theory, help the 810 be the "better performer" when it comes to battery management. additionally, marshmallow is designed to suspend/kill processes that are battery dependent when the device has reached some level of sleep.
what i don't understand is the sleep timing. the high-level information i've read indicates that the phone will only go in to a "deep sleep" when it's basically face down, on your table, while you're asleep. this would be utterly useless to me as my phone remains plugged in overnight.
where i suspect the unknown impact to battery life will be lies within the micro-permission controls at the application level. having the ability to deny certain settings may help to extend battery and performance. on the flip side, i also see devs getting smarter about these controls and forcing the application to not even function if you disable a key role.
whatever happens, the 3450 ought to have better battery life than my '13 2200mAh X.
Between the 3450 battery and fast charge, I have no worries at all.

I don't think it has to be face down. But if it's stationary, it will go into deep sleep and start killing off unnecessary processes. What's annoying about the N6 is that the back isn't flat. I constantly see my n6 waking up to display content on the screen from simply being on the same surface as my keyboard. The N6P being mostly flat, would wobble less when left on a desk.

Also Sony Z5 and Z5 compact
I'm running Marshmallow on my N9 now and I have to say the idle battery drain is greatly improved. Granted I've had it on M for less than 48 hours but last night for example I set my tablet down around 1am. At 7:30am this morning it had dropped from 86% to 84%.
I expect to get about 5 hours SOT.
Even on my note 5, extremely debloated, I only get 4.5 hours. Never understood how people get 8-9 hours. Must be a cell signal reception thing.

After this N5 which can barely give 3 hrs SOT at best, I'd be more than happy to get even a sure 4.5 hrs [emoji14]

I'm expecting over 6+ hours of SoT. I get 5 hours and a few minuted with my Note 4. If doze doesn't beat that, I'm returning it and opting for the Z5 instead.

If that gets 8 hrs then this surely will too. Only difference is 50mah in battery size. The 810 is m more battery efficient and so is the amoled screen.

Even though I don't have one yet, I'm going out on a limb and say it will last as long as it is charged! :silly:
I would like to point out that with software, you can basically make this a snapdragon 808. The 810 is 2 quad core chips, one with a57(high power) cores and the other with a53(lower power) cores. The a57's are clocked at 2.5ghz by default, it appears huawei has underclocked them to 2.0 (smart move).
The 808 is a very similar setup, but instead of a quad core with a57's, it's a dual core clocked at 1.8ghz. Plus the gpu is worse.
So if you root and get a kernel editor... you can disable 2 a57 cores, underclock the cpu by 200mhz, and underclock the gpu by (I wanna say?) 100mhz,
BAM! Snapdragon 808.
This should pretty much negate any overheating issues, because does the 808 overheat? No. Will this boost battery performance? Yes. Will the phone still be usable? Heck yeah.
I will probably end up doing this before it's over with. It wouldn't be quite as lightning fast as it will be full speed ahead, but I'm coming from a nexus 4 with an s4 pro (The equivalent of an underclocked snapdragon 600). I'm hoping with this configuration, 24 hours with 7 hours sot.

battery life between note 3 pro and redmi 3 pro

hi,
i'm planning to get either 1 of the phones mentioned in the title, does anyone know which one has better battery performance?
rn3 use more power because of larger screen (5.5" vs 5"), more pixels (FHD vs HD), more powerful processor & gpu
It's gives me 1 full day easily even with moderate usage... Eg. 3hrs music, 1hr30min Movie, some calls, 3G/Wi-Fi on mostly, some pics, some videos and I still have 20% remaining..
I find this good..
Redmi Note 3 32GB ROM 3GB RAM
From what I've heard they're pretty much the same (around 10h sot).
friend has redmi 3 and it get almost every time about 12h sot (never under 10h sot) and 2 days of use with calls, messaging, browsing, games. this phone has really good battery backup, better then rn3
I sold Redmi 3 Pro. I got there ~10-12 SoT. I now have Redmi Note 3 Pro... but you need to wait for me to report it (i got it today).
Mention me after ~5 days.
Getting 3 days usage on miui , 2,5 on cm13 . Around 10-12 sometimes 13h SOT

yes, it should be...
but both r3p and rn3p report around 10h SoT.
I have rn3p and can confirm I usually get around 10h SoT with MIUI/AOSP/CM13
Nope, I mean real use, over 50 Apps, with WA, gaming...
Redmi Note 3 Pro about ~8h
Redmi 3 Pro +10h
But the Redmi Note 3 Pro is much better (650 is much better).
Strange question really. Completely different phones for different segments. Both have excellent battery life, the decision should be between size and processor etc. For me the RN3P is a fantastic value in terms of performance/price/battery life. I don't think anything can match it based on those three criteria.
Just from my experience with the RN3 Pro:
Battery life is fantastic, imo. Easily lasts for 3 days every-day use without ever getting near a point where I really look for the next charge (<15%). Even playing demanding games I would estimate it will last for more than 5 hours (haven't played that long yet, though).

Still worth change from p9 to G5

Hi, I have a chance to change from a p9(5months) to a lg g5(2weeks) old. Is it a real upgrade?. Im only scared about the battery life, all the rest is equal and some points better
Enviado do meu EVA-L09 através de Tapatalk
I've had my G5 since Oct and coming from a Z3 this phone isn't worth the change from the Huawei. Put simply, the G5 camera set up is absolutely top notch but the rest of the phone is very average; the battery life is abysmal to the point where I am pondering if they replace the phone already (I always keep phones for 18 months to 2 years).

Well.. Here it goes.
-the build quality is better on P9.
-You can change battery on the G5 easily, but P9 has bigger one (and my bat lasts 3h SOT when playing vainglory, no games 4to5 easily with 4g and adguard on all the time)
-SD 820 has better graphics and the performance on g5 is great
-Camera is good on both of them, lg has wide angle lens..
-screen is 2k on G5 but 1080p is great on p9

Yes, i'm on v20c, no root.. How about P9, ho many sot?
For whatever reason I'm struggling to get more than 2 and bit hours of SoT over a 14 hour period; with only a small amount of gaming (5-10 mins) which is just intolerable. I've got two batteries, the newest of which is only 2 months old but there's no discernible difference between them. I have wasted weeks trying to hunt down the cause of the drain but I'm giving up. I sincerely doubt this phone will last the 2 years that I had expected...

2,073,600 pixel screen vs 3,686,400 pixel screen. Manipulating almost twice as many screen elements takes more power. If a razor sharp screen isn't important to you, you'll almost always do better with regard to battery life with a phone with lower resolution.

This is an over generalization. Here is one conclusion based on actual testing;
--
AMOLED screens at 100% APL (pure white screens) are more inefficient than LCD screens. For every other situation, they are more efficient, as they can be selectively lit.
--
And as each pixel draws current (when it's not black), it's not surprising that the One Plus 3 is using 1080p. Fewer pixels means less power consumption. And better contrast means better readability in situations where LCD users would need to boost overall screen brightness for the same readability.

Best rom for battery life or in general? I don't know whats the best but it looks EUI is a good election for battery, and you have Small EUI rom that improve the duration, but I don't like it, is very poor configurable. I tested several roms and I like Resurrection Remix, but I'm not happy with battery life, I´m trying configurate it.

Screen on time

It's amazing how much we actually use our phones in a given day, especially when we watch "videos"! Rate this thread to express how many hours of screen-on time you can get on the Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1 before depleting the battery.
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!

9 hours + Sot is simply amazing
Unbelievable
I'm using Zenfone max pro m1 I do usally have god & mobile data on all time for me it is just 5 hours to 6hours !
And to be frank I fell this is similar or less to my previous Redmi note 4 !!
Was expecting more I think all due to miui optimisation
im getting insane 12 Hours SOT....maybe bcz im using only a single 4g sim and wifi most of the time but this is still great battery backup
I got this one.
Good enough for me.
Great battery life with 45mins of gaming, lots of YouTube, browsing, chatting, camera, etc with 4G connection full time 4G connection.
Getting great screen-on time with Asus Pro M1, best I have seen in my experience of use on any Android Device. Getting SOT of over 12 hours plus with 33 percent battery still left in the tank. My usage has been 90 percent of the time on WiFi and 10 Percent on 4g , with continues browsing , updating of all the old apps, few pics, streaming 15mins of youtube and checking msgs on WhatsApp with display brightness set to 20 percent, Rest all of the apps in the background are disabled to use any data or notifications turned off and battery saver n data saver both enabled . This device is absolutely beast in terms of battery life, fantastic for any kind of user, I am expecting to hit close to 14:30 hrs to 15 hrs SOT with such usage.
Using this phone today for heavy gaming such as arena of valor, crossfire legends, and pubg. And also streaming music from soundcloud on my trip, it takes 4 hours streaming. On 4g mostly. So yeah, it's my heaviest usage I guess.
Looking good though.

Looking good you say ? My Mi Max 2 could do 12-15hours of SoT. Looks like Pro M1 doesn't optimised well even tho its 5000mah but last just like the Redmi Note 4 with 4000mah..Too bad asus..too bad. Hoping for MiUI rom for it

No, it's my heavy usage test. That usage test based mostly on gaming and music streaming for long time. I'm not testing the normal usage yet.
And I've used Nokia Lumia 640 XL. Trust me. The battery performance is on par with this phone when I used it also for gaming. And for normal usage, the battery backup is enough for 2 days (which is I haven't tested on my asus yet). Better than redmi note 3 imo.

Good battery life on this thing!
But could be more optimized ?
Almost matching up with my Lenovo P2's Beast Battery (The record was 19 Hours SOT)!!
My device gives 9hrs to 12 hrs of sot. Always on 4g , 2 hrs of gaming (tekken) , rest wtsapp , youtube web browsing etc.
