Samsung Wireless Fast Charging Pad issue - Samsung Galaxy S7 Accessories

Hello guys,
I bought yesterday the Samsung Wireless Fast Charging Pad from Samsung official store in Amsterdam.
The problem with that pad that only on certain position the galaxy S7 starts to charge.
Is it common problem?

The charging coil is in the center of the phone so you have to place the center of it on the pad, in which positions is it not charging?

why did you get the one from samsung? There's others on amazon with 3 coils for charging so its not as stubborn when placing it to charge. I love mine. look for fast wireless charging 3 coil charging pad.

[Q] Wireless charging with the DT-900

Hi.
Have any of you tried to use the S-View cover with wireless charging with the Nokia DT-900 instead of the standard pad that you get if you buy the Samsung wireless kit? I've heard that DT-900 is faster than the Samsung pad.
EDIT: Hmm, maybe this should be in the Accessories forum.
Any feedback on this? I'm standing in a store that has for $20,but don't want to buy it if it doesn't work.

It won't charge faster than the Samsung wireless charger (they charge at the same rate). If anything, the Nokia (.75A) would charge slower than the Samsung (1A) if the charging rate wasn't limited by the rom. The Nokia is better at positioning though, since it has 3 coils instead of 1 in the Samsung.
There is a dedicated thread for wireless charging, please ask there.

[Q] Wireless charging notification tone?

Hey guys,
So I've added a wireless QI plate to the inside of my Galaxy Note 3 as I had a bunch of wireless chargers from my Lumia 920 days .. One problem though is because there's no magnets in the Galaxy, it's hard to tell whether it's been correctly placed on the Fatboy pillow for example.
Is there a way to get a connect/disconnect tone but only for wireless charging and not for when you've plugged it in to charge via cable?
Cheers guys ..

Review of the Choetech T513-S 3 Coil Wireless Charger

Ok, I finally got the Choetech T513 charging pad. I was given a 40% off code if I'd do a review. All in all it's a good charging pad. I didn't want a round charging pad because I don't like how the phone hangs off the edges so when I put a back on my S5 to charge it wirelessly I bought first the pad Samsung made marketed for the S5. That little round thing I hated. I then saw the one that was marketed for the S4. This is what I settled for http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00F358AVI?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00 The biggest problem I had was if you didn't have the phone centered just right the phone would repeatedly keep notifying that it was charging. Wife got upset more then one night. The Choetech is a lifesaver with 3 coils in it so you don't have to center the phone so much. My biggest complaint: it doesn't come with a wall adapter. I was told the adapter for the S7 won't work so I ordered a Quick Charge 2.0 wall charger to charge the pad.
Now for the charging times. I tested With the Choetech in fast charge mode. I tested with the S7 wired charger and I pulled out a 2.1a Samsung charger. I'm a little surprised by the numbers reported but I'm just gonna report what the phone told me. At 34% the S7 wired fast charger would take 59 minutes to fully charge. The 2.1a charger would take 1 hour and 9 minutes. The Choetech charger came in at 1 hour 23 minutes. Not that I was worried about the charging times. I wanted the charging pad for my phone at night. This is when I learned the Galaxy S7 apparently has some kind of a fan in it. When I put the phone on the pad I noticed. With no other noises I could hear a very quiet fan. I thought it was the charger. I tested my wifes phone and same result so I emailed Choetech about it and I quickly got a responce. I wish other companies responded that quickly. She explained Samsung is aware of the fan noise and if I turned off Fast Charging I wouldn't hear it. She then attached a pic of the setting in the S7 battery area that shows where to turn off fast wireless charging. The phone even mentioned I'd hear the fan noise in fast charging mode. All in all I'm quite happy with this charger. Yes it doesn't come with a wall adapter but there are other fast charging pads that do that are much more in price.

Qi Wireless Charging Receiver for Tab S3?

Has anybody found a good Qi wireless charging receiver for the Tab S3?
The S3 is a fairly large tablet with a USB-C connector which is (unfortunately) located slightly off center toward the right (top) edge where the power/volume buttons are placed. In order to use a Qi charging stand, it would be best if a Qi receiver pad could be placed on the back, slightly toward the left edge (near the pogo pin connector), so that the tablet could sit sideways on the charging stand with the power/volume buttons facing up.
This means we need a Qi receiver with a long USB-C connector. A typical Qi pad is about 8 cm long so we'd need one with about 7 cm of cable just to get the coil in the center of the Tab S3 and even then it might be too close to the top edge to align with a charging stand while the tablet is sideways. Most of the Qi receivers I've found only have about 2 cm of cable at most.
My Tab will sit vertically on my charging stands but it's not very stable and again, with the USB-C port off center, the coils might not align.
Alternatively, it might be possible to hack a standard Qi receiver to connect to the pogo pin connector on the side of the Tab S3.
[I've tried all sorts of tricks to resize this image down to something reasonable. None of them worked. Sorry.]
I have the same interest to setup QI wireless charging on my Galaxy Tab S4 tablet.
Have you made progress since that initial post ?
I have not found any useful relevant information to resolve this challenge!
Thanks.
