Android 7.0 for Padfone X? - Asus Padfone X and S

Hi, complete noob here. After hearing that Google are not going to release drivers for the Snapdragon 800 series, (or I might be wrong) I was really demotivated but I've found this and was wondering if any of you guys know is this trust worthy or not. Thanks.
http://rom-nougat.org/download-rom-asus-padfone-x

is it suitable for Padfone S T00N?

Has anyone verify the authenticity of this download? Does it work?

[Q] Any stock android ROMs?

So I just bought a Galaxy Tab 10.1 wifi. This is my first Samsung device as I have been using my Xperia PLAY for over a year now and do have that all modded, rommed out etc. That being said I realize that Sammy's products are a different beast in comparison to Sony Ericcson's for rooting/modding. I would like to know if:
1. Theres a stock ROM (ICS/JB) available. Non-Samsung based other then Cyanogenmod. Basically a pure Google based ROM.
2. A good guide I can read up on how to root this thing and put a custom recovery on it.
Also, I read after I bought it thats its only got 16gb of memory and NO SD slot...... is this true? Not a deal breaker more of a curiosity question. Got mine today for $180 factory refurbished from dailysteals.com
I appreciate any feedback, directions.

XT910 EOL

As the RAZRs begin to reach their EOL (end of life) product cycle (warranty finished, no more firmware updates, etc) why can't Motorola release an upgrade to unlock the bootloader for everyone.
I can't imagine the carriers would care and surely it would be a simple thing for them to do. They don't have to force this update on any users but simply make it optional for those that want it.
I upgraded to jb with the ota update and unfortunately lost root and to be honest have now lost interest in this phone. I was running AOKP V7 SP's version and it was running so well.
If Motorola techs happen to be reading this, then please consider it because at this stage I sure ain't interested in getting another Motorola and not because they are no good, far from it, it's because you restrict your users freedom with this phone. I will vote with my wallet and atm it won't be Motorola/Google.
Cheers, Teiva

well, think about it:
It is good that you lost interest in this phone, maybe now you will buy a new one from them
Yeah true. Maybe the new X serious

They already said it won't be Motorola because of this policy and same applies from me as well
Be interesting to see how all the new phones being released are with their bootloaders. I guess if I could pick up a RAZR HD or RAZR MAXX HD at a reasonable price I would consider getting one (even though they only come with 1GB system ram). My XT910 seems to run quite well with the OTA JB update. I do miss flashing roms though.

I doubt that they will change this policy
Bun for us who didn't update to EU JB and still have root Is still fun due to kexec
It's a shame considering these phones are no longer premium and flashing Roms makes the world of difference to the experience on them.

Jumped ship a few months ago to an N4 and not looking back. I loved my xt910, beautiful piece of hardware, too bad that Motorola kills it. Never again Motorola.

So true. Motorola is losing customers because of lock bootloaders. I have heard so many people say never again to Motorola(in person & on forums). So if a unlocked bootloader keeps people interested especially at the EOL. I think it would be good for business.

They are going to lose me for that very reason. All we ask is for the option to unlock our bootloaders. It's not something that everyone wants to do nor even knows about but that choice should be there for those that choose too.

This same situation like milestone and other smartphones with lock bl from M. Owners dream of unlock bl when new models came out. But thats was never happend. The policy has never change. Sry for bad eng.

I agree, if moto would just open their eyes to what their customers are saying they would have a Hugh support of long term customers. Moto has such great phones. To bad to see they are losing their loyal supporters.

My XT910 when I bought it was an awesome phone. Better then the galaxy S2s being sold at the time.
I'm not sure the reasoning behind Motorola's reluctance to unlock the bootloader on what can now be considered an old phone but it sure is going to impact my future decisions.
Sent from my XT910 using xda premium
I think that Motorola wants to cut off from the "older" models and concentrate on models developed jointly with Google. You could see for a while like google too did not know which way to go with M. From what I know this phone x (or whatever he's called) is already unlocked bl (! Sic)
But do not despair, we already have good ports based on kexec and the issue of time is full of functionality. Thank you for the great developers from xda
Greetings from Poland, third-world country (according to Motorola)

We will see, but as far as I remember there was unlockable bootloaders on some Motorola phones. I hope somehow we will manage to use our RAZRs to the max For Milestone there is still active development (great @nadlabak) so I hope @dhacker and @Hashcode won't abandon us
Still nagging about the bootloader? We have kexec and imo that is enough. We should instead be grateful for devs like hashcode and dhacker who makes this phone awesome.
I disagree, Motorola should thank these dev's for keep their products still awesome and users should donate to the dev's for their hard work.

Do you need a rooted phone to run kexec? If so then kexec doesn't help those with XT910, JB OTA, and no root.
Does an unlocked bootloader make it easier to root your phone?

yes, you need rooted phone for kexec due to necessity of having a custom recovery to install if from
unlocked BL is not related to the root
I feel it's more of a carrier issue than Motorola, they're a company, they want money, referring to at least the US models, the carriers want locked bootloaders, they'll get them.

[Q] Android 4.3 w/ TRIM support

Please forgive my ignorance in advance, I am very much a noob. I hope I am asking this in the right place.
It looks like Jelly Bean 4.3 will provide support for TRIM. Will this be a big deal for (continued) performance?
Is the TRIM support written into 4.3 code as a generic thing for all devices or will it be something that is hardware specific for each phone hardware? I guess my real question here is, will we have to wait on big red to release something with regard to G Note 2 (Verizon) for developers to have something to work with or will there likely be a port from another device?
Can anyone suggest a 4.3 ROM that is out for G Note 2 Verizon? Or maybe a good one that is in the works?
Thanks to all of the developers on this site, your work is appreciated by someone who tries a new ROM every week!!!
CWM already has an unofficial build out.

I'm down with 4.3 providing me with trim. No more cruising the bars.
The TRIM support is only for Nexus devices. I have read that in every major article about 4.3.

The articles that ive read say it will be there for all devices and it will be left up to the OEMs to either enable or disable it.

Let me be the first to say welcome to the XDA forums. The information this community shares is phenomenal. You'll find answers to all your questions if you search through it. You can drop the "forgive my ignorance" tag because those were some good questions. I can now say I first heard of Android TRIM because of HBOMB-9000

Here is also an app that will perform trim for you. Trim is very important in all nand type storage but only has to be done about 1 a month or a week depending how much you write and delete from the device (very important for crack flashers ).

Reading the XDA thread on that app there's a known issue with some older devices. Do we know whether fstrim is safe on the GNote2?

Yes it is safe with the N2, I use it on my all the time. The older devices used a faulty chip that would brick the phone when certain things were done.

Millerliteguy you don't like in Milwaukee do you?

Its a bit early yet, but check out the work of Lokifish Marz. Just don't ask him about an update, under no circumstances.
Due to logistics issues, many potential devs are going to get their "Dev editions" last of all, in a couple of months or so. Particularly EU devs, sadly.

No attitude here. Just seriously wondering how you could not have looked at the main topics see answer.
Currently there is one Rom. Others are coming.

Just wait a bit more... @trent999 said everything - devs (October) edition will be shipped at the end of next month so you'll see many great things, mods and apps in April.
I already tried few things but it's very hard to work without device, especially when you are working on something you never worked before.
Usually, devs get devices first so they can provide some help to users but for the company as well but......well we all know the story

Android Marshmellow

Does anyone know if and when we are suppose to receive the new Android marshmellow update? Also, has anyone started a marshmallow build? Couldn't find any info on here. Thanks
Sent from my LGLS990 using Tapatalk
U can bet a device from 2 plus years ago won't be getting an official marshmallow update. Lg wants u to buy the g5 which will come stock with 6.0. As far as custom builds u will just have to do some googling. Don't look just to xda for ur info. There are some other decent developer sites.
I will add, this is orig dev thread, not QA or general. Hoping thus was just an accident.
Thanks

I tried it but my manifest file is not work argo I can't download source for this device
