but the problem is now i'm unable to access to recovery

Twrp not flashing may be because you are on latest MIUI update which is 8.1.15.0 .
Please downgrade to 8.1.10.0 or 8.1.10.0.
And then try it will work

You said you flashed miui via fastboot.
It means your recovery is changed back to stock.
You have to go to fastboot mode and flash Twrp again.

Downgrade from MIUI 8 to MIUI 7

Hi, I think the title says it all. What is the best and the easiest way to downgrade from MIUI 8 to 7 without losing any data on my phone/SD card? Where can I see the download link to the exact specific ROM version for my phone (Redmi Note 3)? I am currently running on MIUI Global 8.0 Stable | 8.0.6.0 (LHOMIDG). Thanks!

Thank you for your response. As I am a noob in this area, can you please provide more information on bootloader and how to unlock it & boot it into edl? Also, can you provide the link to the page which has information on the Fastboot ROM for my phone model? Will this retain my existing data?

Bootloader unlocked mode allows you flash custom roms via custom recovery and flash MIUI fastboot roms via fastboot mode. But bootloader locked mode only allows edl mode to operate using fastboot roms.

How to do offcial unlock after having it unlock unofficially?

Hello there,
I got a Kate device, which I unlocked unofficially after oficial unlock failed after 50% in September.
Now I'm running TheStrix' CM14.1 with this firmware:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-3/how-to/cm14-14-1-aosp-n-firmware-kenzo-kate-t3507789
But now I read, that TheStrix recommends flashing the MIUI Dev Rom, and afterwards his new 14.1 Firmware in order to run 14.1 correctly.
From what I read so far, its recommended to do the official unlock now, because it is working. And there is no chance of accidentally relocking it afterwards?
Could someone give me a hint on how to accomplish that? A short step-by-step list would be much appreciated!
I guess I would have to Flash the dev rom first, then unlock, then flash the firmware and then install CM14.1, is that right?
How do I flash the dev rom and which one is the right one?
Will my TWRP stay in place during all this or do I have to install it again? Am I using the right TWRP for all these operations?
Right now I have TWRP 3.0.0-0 cofface installed.
While TheStrix recommends using his TWRP with F2FS support. Would it be safe to flash that now?
Thank you guys so much!
The only way to do it by flashing official MIUI fastboot ROM in EDL mode via MiFlash.

for those who want to flash custom roms without taking the time to unlock bootloader follow this steps..
1- download any miui fastboot rom
2-extract it
3- download alka twrp recovery
4-rename it recovery. img and paste it in the extracted folder thus replacing the miui recovery
5-flash using mi flash tools in EDL mode
6-now you have TWRP installed... format your phone.. and now copy the roms, mods, whatever the **** you want in your phone by pc and you can flash that

Thank you all for your replies. To sum it up, I made a step-by-step list, could someone please confirm that.
1. Put phone in fastboot mode and flash official MIUI fastboot dev ROM (6.11.24) in EDL mode.
2. Unlock phone using MiUnlock
3. Install TWRP (f2fs) using fastboot
4. Install CM14 Kate firmware provided by TheStrix
5. Install CM14.1 nightly by TheStrik
6. Install Gapps
Is that about right? Can you tell me after which steps I will have to wipe? And which partitions to wipe..?

[ROM][7.0]Complete roms for Maze Alpha 4GB based on official V09

Here is the last version at the moment of the Maze alpha ROM (tested only in 4GB version)
It's a complete ROM, not an OTA update, it can be flashed using the provided TWRP 3.2.1 version, I ported from a Jemmini (many thanks) version for Bluboo S1.
Unfortunately, the TWRP cannot be flashed (issue with the touch panel), only launched by fastboot.
The ROM is the same as the v8 official one except that it is rooted using Magisk 15.2 and busybox 1.27.2 (thanks to osm0sis) is installed in /system/xbin
There is also a SPFlashTool clean version of this ROM, useful in case of troubles (as official: no root, no busybox)
1- Reboot you phone in fastboot mode : adb reboot bootloader
2- Flash the provided TWRP : fastboot flash recovery recovery_maze_alpha_4G_twrp-321.img
3- Reboot to TWRP recovery
4- copy in your SDCARD and install, in the running TWRP, the downloaded ROM V09 : Maze_Alpha_4GB_v09_TWRP.zip
The first boot take some minutes so be patient.
Here the SPFlashTool versions :
MAZE_Alpha_4GB_V09_SPFT.zip
Here, if needed, my V09 TWRP backup (new one from 21/04/2018) :
TWRP_BACKUP_MAZE_Alpha_A_V09.zip
Credits to Jemmini and Magisk team.
Can you make this for the 6 gb version?
many thanks gonna ty it soon

Hi dreambo,
do You know if there's a stock rom for download from maze alpha x? I think it's important for normal users and developers to get one. For normal users it's important to have an option to reinstall stock version and for developers I think it's the source for custom roms (e.g. Lineage Os).
If You know a source, can You please give us a link?

Unfortunatly no. As you will see repeated times in the forum, people have issue with phone not booting after changing from stock recovery to twrp. This is do (most likely from) to verified boot setting. And by unlocking bootloader we can bypass verified boot. So without unlock you might get a successfull load into twrp, but android will not boot.
Hello to all and please help if you can.
After unlocking the bootloader and flash the rom I'v got orange state with bootloop. Then after trying to fix it (wrong way) and relock bootloader and got red state with bootloop. I read that flahing back to stock fix the problem but I have no success with the rom provided in this post, the v5 from maze, the latest flash tool and the maze alpha flash tool... in all cases I get DA error(maze flash tool) or DA MISHMATCH (sp flash tool). I also tried different pc and cable with no result and finaly can't get fastboot. If that helps I've got the same flash tool error before the procedure. Every help will be appreciated.

First unlock again your bootloader and use fastboot to flash boot, recovery and system partitions:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot flash system system.img.
Those partition images can be found in the ROM for SPFlashTool I have provide.
After that you can boot android normally.
If you any TWRP backup, you can restore it after flashing the TWRP.
Thanks a lot for your reply....
the problem is that i cant boot into fastboot to unlock bootloader....
the phone bootloops all the time, shows the red state alert and even with vol+ pressed the menu to choose recovery or fastboot doesn't apear... thanks again.

[Tutorial] How to revert back to official stock MIUI

Hello guys so today I want to teach you guys how to revert your software to stock Miui.
1. First of all, you need to download Mi Flash Tool ( https://www.xiaomiflash.com/download/ )
2. Then you need to download the fastboot for your device and unzip the file ( https://c.mi.com/oc/miuidownload/detail?guide=2 )
3. Put your phone into fastboot mode and plug it into your PC
4. Open Mi Flash Tool
5. Click "select" then navigate to your rom files that you have unzip
6. Choose either you want to clean and lock the bootloader or just clean and keep the bootloader. ( Clean and lock bootloader is recommended )
7. Click flash and wait until the flashing is done.
8. Now you're back in stock rom.
Update : If u want to rollback to 11.0.7 and have your bootloader unlocked u need to choose option clean all only

Glad to know that my thread is useful to someone ?
miflash says it cannot find the log in the log folder. i put the miflash+tthe fastboot update in root folder.

I will answer my request: the above link shows the flash tool until 2018 version. it does not work. use the 2020 version from here !
That's for this very helpful thread. My device was bricked and I managed to recover it.
I had to change computers and install the Xiaomi drivers (prompted by u/drahtwurst's 2020 version linked previously). Turns out the machine I was using had corrupted drivers somehow.
What's the difference of doing this and flashing through recovery the MIUI ROM?
Worked perfectly, thanks heaps man! If anyone gets errors with the MiFlash tool, just create a new folder in the program's direcotery named LOG and it should fix it

Hi all,
i unlocked my curtana Device a few days ago and flashed xiaomi.eu, Havoc and RR ROMs. Because i like to geivew the Device to my father i flashed the original Rom to get everything back to Original.
I used the File curtana_global_images_V11.0.11.0.QJWMIXM_20200811.0000.00_10.0_global_38000bbd8b.tgz and flashed it via BatchFile, via Mi Flash and via XiaoMiTool V2 but all i got is a bootloop after flashing.
Do you have any idea? Do i miss something? After flashing the Xiaomi.eu ROM again, it boots up but i have still the annoying WLAN bug.
any help is welcome.
Thanks in advance
Could fix it with this hint.

Find inside Fastboot ROM
I just noticed the reply, sorry guys I gave my redmi note 9s to my mom so if you guys still got a problem with it you can try to refer from another thread or just quote this comment and I will try to answer it. Cheers!
I seem to have bricked my device using the MiFlash program, it had ''\$fastboot -s *lock'' in the box labeled checkpoint in the configuration settings, in the middle of the flashing process the device started to repeatedly reboot non stop, and if I hold down volume down it only flashes the fastboot screen for a moment before rebooting again, it seems there is nothing I can do since I cannot access fastboot mode or recovery mode. The device had twrp installed and I was trying to flash from the PixsysOS rom to MIUI v11.0.8.0 so that I could try out the Evolution X rom, I do not know what I did wrong, maybe I should have formatted data in twrp before trying to flash a new rom, or just flash the whole thing from twrp, or not flash the MIUI recovery at all. I hope someone can tell me what I did wrong .
Don't use 'flash and lock bootloader' . Just 'flash' .

[AIO] Guide to Unlock bootloader , Flash TWRP and a Custom rom.

Unlocking Bootloader1. Make sure you have a sim and active mobile data. Then go to about phone tap build number 7-8 times. After that go to advanced settings > developer options > turn on OEM unlocking and then check if this device is secure and click add account and device.
2. Download Mi unlock tool from here. Extract it and paste it in C:/unlock. or else your device won't be recognized for unlocking.
3. Open Mi unlock tool and then enter the Mi account which was on your device. Put your device in fastboot mode by pressing vol- and power and then connect to PC. Press unlock and if it tells you to wait you have no other option but to wait. If your mi flash tool shows connect your device even after you have connected it. Follow this guide here.
4. After you have unlocked your bootloader reboot your phone.
Flashing TWRP and Rooting via magisk
1. Download this TWRP image here. Thanks to the original developer mauronofrio.
2. Download adb and fastboot tools here and install it.
3. Now put your phone in fastboot mode and connect it with your pc. Now where you have downloaded the TWRP file rename it to TWRP.img and open a CMD window there if you don't know how just google.
4. Type the following commands
1. fastboot devices
2. fastboot flash recovery TWRP.img
3. fastboot reboot recovery.
Click to collapse
5. Your phone will boot into TWRP now. But TWRP will be overwritten by stock miui recovery to stop that you need to flash Magisk. Download this zip move it to internal storage then flash by tapping on install and swipe to flash. Reboot your device. Reboot to recovery again to check if TWRP is present.
Now your device is rooted
OR
Flash latest OrangeFox Recovery if you don't want magisk.
Flashing A rom
1. Download.
2. Flash.
3 Format Data.
Done
Feel free to ask any questions. And don't point a finger at me for messing your device.

Will this method still work for me as I'm already rooted but just want TWRP so i can flash other ROMs.. The post says you have to flash magisk from the (temporary) TWRP for the TWRP to stay as the recovery..
Will the magisk on my phone and the magisk installed here collide?
I just want TWRP so i can switch to a custom rom, so any input is appreciated!!

Skip the flashing a rom part and you will be good to go.

You can flash twrp and then check if it persists. If not flash magisk again their is no thing as magisk colliding lol. Just make sure you flash a newer version. And if nothing works flash stock rom and then twrp.
If you have the stock boot IMG flash it and then intsall twrp and magisk.

Flashing a custom rom is optional. You don't NEED to flash a rom to get TWRP...

Haha, makes sense! Thank you for your answers
Nevermind.. i got it to work pretty easily..
I have twrp on this device and Pixel Experience ROM and it's working all fine..
But there's this one thing where when booting to recovery, it asks me to input a password for User(0) when i try to input anything it says password failed..
From reading the log, it says it's for decrypting data(8f I'm not mistaken)
Is this important? Do i need to decrypt it?
Currently the ROM works fine with no errors, so I'm not gonna bother, but would still like to know what this "decrypting" thing is..

Yes, If you use a lock screen enter that password it will be decrypted. You will have to format data if you decide to flash any other rom anyway.
flashed twrp but not able to boot into recovery.

There can be many reasons for that. Please tell me the error or what's actually happening. Then only I can be of help.

Yes Unified means all Snapdragon 720g Devices which include Joyeuse, Curtana, Gram, Excalibur.
Hey buddy, thank you for this quick step-by-step guide. I flash ROMs since 2012 and you know what? It helped me the same. Having all stuff needed for go from stock to custom concentrated in one place (plus some useful tip like the Magisk flash at the end) it's always useful and time-saving. Thank you
2 Micro-notes about fastboot btw:
- write 'fastboot (with lowered 'f'): it may confuse some newbie
- it's 'reboot' instead of 'boot'
